Archbishop Valerian Trifa came to the United States from Romania in 1950. He spoke of his background being a refugee of war from the Nazi's during World War II. BUT why is this case interesting? Valerian was the Archbishop of Detroit and a few of his parishioners thought they recognized him from Romania. It turns out they did.
