Speaker 1

Matthew twenty two twenty three, read.

Speaker 2

The same day came to him the sadducees, which say there is no resurrection and asked him, saying, master, Moses said, if a man die having no children, his brother shall marry his wife. And raise up seed unto his brother.

Speaker 1

That was the law at that time. Some traditions still practice it but it's it's Moses law. You die, your brother marries your wife. Hey. I mean, your brother can kill you so that you just look at your brother, you like the wife, Pam. Come here. Read. Come on, church. Read.

Speaker 2

Now they were with us seven bedroom, and the first when he had married a wife, deceased, and having no issue, left his wife unto his brother. Likewise, the second also and the third, unto the seventh.

Speaker 1

Seven brothers died with one woman. We have to question that woman. Some place they wash all the seven bodies for her to drink. First one died, second one inherited. That lady must have been so fine. They were competing for her. Right? Yes. So what happened?

Speaker 2

And last of all, the woman died also.

Speaker 1

Ah, finally. Now look at the stupid question. Read. Uh-huh.

Speaker 2

Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife shall she be of the seven? For they all had her. So these

Speaker 1

are people who claim they believe in God but they do not believe the word of God. And that's what is called a canal mind. You believe God but you don't believe his word because you question his word. Oh, God's word says this. Okay, let's assume resurrection is true.

Seven men married one wife. When they now get to heaven if you claim there is heaven now these are Pharisees, they don't believe in heaven. Yet they were the teachers of the law but they don't believe in heaven. So they're asking Jesus if there is a heaven. When they now all die? One woman arrives in heaven, seven men arrives. Which of them will now be her husband in heaven? So what a question. Let's get the answer of our master. Oh Jesus, how I love you Lord.

Speaker 2

Jesus answered and said unto them

Speaker 1

Uh-huh.

Speaker 2

He do not knowing the scriptures nor the power of

Speaker 1

So your problem is the reason you are erring in your thinking, your erroneous, canal mind is because you don't know the scriptures. Men and brethren, we have a church today that don't know the scriptures. The Pharisees are the custodian of scriptures, but they didn't know it. You have a doctrine, but does it is it consistent with scripture? You have what you believe and what you don't believe, but is it consistent with scripture?

Let me take a small example for you to understand. If we pray now and people fall and maybe some of them are vomiting and some of them are rolling on the ground, some of them are screaming, what will you say? Ah, no. No. No. Don't want this. Just give us the word. Just give us the word. If I pick a man and say the Lord says this, that, you are born on this day, this is what the Lord is saying, that, that, that, you say no no no no drama in the church. Don't want drama.

Just give us the word, give us the word, give us the word. What you are calling drama is called prophecy, it's in the word. What you are calling all these people crying and shouting, what are all these powers they have brought into the church? Oh, it's in the word. Every time Jesus minister, people were screaming and falling and screaming.

So how come we custodian of scriptures, pastors, leaders today are running away from the word and deceiving us that they are going to the word? Because you are everything you are saying is in the scriptures. God cannot be seen. God cannot be seen. Yet it's in the scriptures that the man saw God. How why are we canal? Now these were not Muslims. These were not unbelievers. These were Pharisees. Please go back so that they can know who is talking.

Go back so that they can know. The same day came to him Sadducees. They are the Pharisees. They are the Sadducees. Sadducees which say there is no resurrection. That's their belief. Yet the bible is is full of the account of resurrection. Yet they say there's no resurrection. That means we die and it's over. Yet they practice the faith.

They are from the lineage of Moses, and they have even quoted Moses. They quoted the Bible, and that's what's happening today. People quote one scripture in isolation. Please, child of God, the bible says no scripture is of private interpretation. That means if you wanna know God, you can't take one scripture in isolation. Read it.

Speaker 3

Knowing this first

Speaker 1

First.

Speaker 3

That no prophecy of a scripture

Speaker 1

is of what?

Speaker 3

Any private interpretation.

Speaker 1

So that means scripture needs scripture. That means to understand every scripture, you need to use other scripture to unlock every scripture. That means if I'm going to understand each scripture, I need to know other scripture. That's the reason when the Lord speaks to me, it's easy for me to process. Because when he says hope, I can connect hope, all the scriptures of hope.

I can connect all the connection of hope and know what hope is. I know from here, from here, from here, from here. I get all the hope and I put it together and I wrap it up and I define. Ye do the error of the church today, the error of believers today, the reason you are taking a step that is not pleasing to God and to you is okay is because you haven't known the scriptures. Jesus answered and said unto them, ye do You're erring.

Why? You haven't known the full scripture. You just quoted one scripture, and you are trying to make a conclusion based on one scripture. He says you because you don't know the scripture. And you don't know the scriptures means you will not know the power of God. You will not know what God can do. Their error was based on two things that were missing. How can these things be? How can this man know this thing? How can this power be?

How can how can God tell me to do this? How can I be told to do this? How can I give my money? How can I all those things you are thinking in your head is called canality? And you cannot advance in your spiritual work.

You cannot experience God though you go to church. And if you are gonna take a great leap forward, it's time for you to abandon the canal mind. It's time for you to kick the canal mind that has been leading you. Remember, the canal mind is enmity against God. As long as my thinking is canal, I cannot be led by the spirit.

The next time you are making a decision and taking a step, ask yourself, can this be the spirit? Is it consistent with the spirit of the bible that we know? Stay there. So let's look at the answer of Jesus. Read for me. Come on.

Speaker 3

Jesus answered and said unto them, ye do not knowing the scriptures, not the power of God.

Speaker 1

Uh-huh.

Speaker 3

For in the resurrection, they neither marry nor are given in marriage but as the angels of God in heaven.

Speaker 1

That means when we resurrect, you will no longer be my wife. I will no longer be your husband. We will remember that we were husband and wife. We will appreciate that if both of you make it there. We appreciate, oh, this was my wife on earth. You too will say this was my husband on earth. Oh, that was my pastor on earth. Oh, that was my cell leader. Oh, like that. That was my ex ex ex on earth, you know. But there's no marriage there. But are the angels of God. Uh-huh. Uh-huh.

Speaker 3

As touching the resurrection of the dead, have you not heard that which was spoken unto you by God saying, I am

Speaker 1

the God. Jesus is now going to give them scripture. Yes, You gave me scripture. Let me give you scripture. Look at his response. I'm talking about being spiritual. Knowing the word so that you can answer Satan, you can answer your mind, you can answer people that come to you, That's spirituality. Spirituality is not shaking and shaking and. That's not spirituality. Spirituality is knowing the depth of God's word so that you can answer everyone that comes to you.

Everything comes around you, you can say no, Satan. It is written. He gives him scripture. What does he say?

Speaker 3

I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. God is not the God of the dead but of the living.

Speaker 1

So if he's the God of Abraham and Abraham is dead, then God is the God of the dead. That's what Jesus is saying. But God says, I'm the God of Abraham, I'm the God of Isaac, I'm the God of Jacob. If Abraham is dead and there's no more Abraham, he has been buried. He's ended. There's no resurrection. Isaac has died. There's no more resurrection. Jake, all of them are dead. There's no more resurrection.

Then God is a God of dead bones. But Jesus makes it clear. He says, go back 31 so that you can understand. I'm showing you how to deal with see, when you I'm find I'm finding words to express myself. Are you understanding? My default language is tongues. So when I when I'm speaking English, it's something I learned. Your spirit don't learn tongues. It's in you.

Speaker 3

As touching read it again. Read it. But as touching the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that which was spoken unto you by God? What did God say? Uh-huh. I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. God

Speaker 1

is not the God of the but

Speaker 3

of the

Speaker 1

living. Uh-huh.

Speaker 3

And when the multitude heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine.

Speaker 1

They say what kind of man is this? It's in our bible and we didn't know. They were astonished. Jesus said no. You said there's no erection. But God says I'm the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. If they were dead, then how is it then he's a God of the dead? Spirituality requires that you know the scriptures. That's why daily you have to study the scriptures. You can listen to teachings and grow up and spend time to open your bible for yourself.

Everything can be taken from you but what you know of God cannot be taken from you. So study for yourself, not what somebody told you. Not what somebody said, study for yourself. Your pastor is not supposed to be the custodian of your word for you. No, no, no.

He's there to teach you. He's there to guide you. At the end, you have to know God for yourself. There is an interpretation of God that is unique to every man. But it has the same foundation, the same background, but unique to you because God never mass produced us. He created us in person. You are unique. There's a communication you have with God that nobody has. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Yes, So you want to know God to enhance your personal work with God.

There is no generic work with God. I cannot work with God for you. We cannot work with God together. God said to Abraham clearly, I am the Lord thy God. Walk before me and be perfect. Walk before me and be perfect. Inspection. Work before me. Every child of God must work before God for yourself. Doesn't say, oh, gather the children of Israel to work before me. Uh-uh. Read it yourself. Read it. What does it say?

Speaker 3

And when Abraham was 90 years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abraham and said unto him, I am the almighty God. Walk before me and be thou perfect.

Speaker 1

Walk before me. That means I want to be looking at you. Are you understanding what he's saying? Come, sir. Come for me, please. Walk before me. Walk before me. Walk. Walk before me means walk. Let me inspect you. Let me see how you are walking. Let me see how your hand is moving. Let me see how you tilt your head when you are walking. Walk before me. It's an individualistic thing. You walk before God. Walk before me. Thank you. You walk. Thank you, sir.

You walk before him and be perfect. When you begin your Christianity, walk with God. You walk with God. Oh, your walk with God. Yes. At the point God stops, walk before me. And then he appears, he doesn't walk, then we catch up with you. Work with me. Work before me. Because he will always train you by working with you and let you walk alone that he may see you.
