In its 70 years as a functioning hospital, countless patients have come forward with experiences of horrendous maltreatment and abuse. The abandoned asylum is now a horror amusement, but there is over 100 DOCUMENTED ghost sightings. It has been called the most haunted place in not only New Zealand, but the Southern Hemisphere.
