Oh, by the way, Happy March. I love March Saint Patrick's Day. Me being an Irish guy,
I kind of love it. But also March Madness. My wife and I we got a real kick out of the basketball games, the college basketball games for March Madness. And that's start towards the later middle part of the month, I think the nineteenth. But what's cool is some of the games are going to be in a Barkley Center in Brooklyn, so that's really cool. So there'll be a number of games early on in Brooklyn for March Madness. Now I'm going to focus today on brain health. That doesn't mean I'm not
mentioning other things. All the supplements for brain health also have a great impact on many other important pathways and functions in the human bodies. So we can't help but go to other situations. I'm going to start talking about alchar with ALA. It's something I take daily. It's indogenous. You actually make these nutrients. You make alcar, you make a poeic acid, and they're really really important for the nervous system and for the brain. They improve neurotransmitter availability.
Neurotransmitters are things that make your nervous system work, make your digestive tract work, make your muscles work, make everything work, your hard work. But they also incredibly important for your brain. And these tiny molecules released from the nerve endings and your brain that transmit messages. That's why they call neurotransmitters nerve transmission, neuro nerve and they make the brain work. And when you
get the availability as you grow older. It's really important because these things decrease in release with age. I don't know if they're still made as much that they haven't proven one way or the other, but you just don't have the release of them. So al car is very important for the release of a setyl colin and also actually the manufacture of a setal coling. But to release
of dopamine. To release is serotonin and many other important nerve transmitters. For instance, for learning, you need gabba to relax the nerve cell so it opens up. You need glutamate to energize it, and you need a setal calling to store the message inside your nerve and your brain. So to learn you need those three. You also need glutamate and glutamic acid, and alcohar causes the release of all of these in a correct sequence for you to learn,
but it's kind of reversed a little bit for you to remember. So alcore is really important for learning and remembering. But it's also important for dopamine and serotonin. So let's talk about serotonin. You're really serotonin towards the end of a meal to quench your appetite. Otherwise you're always starving. You're always hungry, and you're going to gain a lot of weight, and it's not
healthy weight. It's weight at least the diabetes and back pain and damage to your knees, and damage to your heart, your kidneys, and your brain by the way, So the serotonin release is important to control your appetite. Serotonin is also important to prevent anxiety and depression. A lot of the drugs they give as antidepressants work with serotonin, but serotonin also tells you when you're
in danger. For instance, if you went into a dark room, serotonin is the thing to tell you to move carefully so you don't bump your knee or trip. So it helps you release serotonin. Alcohol helps you release dopamine. Dopamine is important for reward, knowing what's good for you, what's healthy, what's bad for you, but also for pleasure. So alcohol is important for proper brain function and a healthy, happy, sharp brain. But it's
also neurotrophic. Now that's really an important thing to understand. A neurotrophic supplement has to do with nerve growth factor release. So the nerve growth factor is like brain derived neurotrophic factor or nerve growth factor. There's like eight of them. That I know of. It supports the growth of your brain cells and your nerve tissue, so that means it can help heal nerve pain. But that also means that it makes an older brain younger. It helps you maintain
the youthfulness of your brain. But it also blocks apoptosis in the brain cells. It helps prevent the death of brain cells. That's really important, but also the differentiation of newly forming brain cells because you know the brain cells to know, you know is going to be part of site, sound, vision, hearing, thinking, remembering. So but because it's notuotrophic, it's also good for pain because al care specifically through mechanisms with your genes. It's epigenetic
causes to release a nerve growth factor. A nerve growth factor heals your nerves so they function. Like if you have damaged nerves from alcohol or from an injury, or the dentist hurt your mouth, or or you had shingles, it helps heal the nerve so they work again. So it helps nerve repair, but it's also an analgesic for your nerves. It blocks nerve pain.
There's not a lot of things that block nerve pain. They do give some antidepressants like tricyclicate the depressants for that, but tricyclicate their depressants had myriad days side effects, so you don't want to go that route. Then there's gabapentin neurontin, which does help, but it makes some people really fatigued and zombie like, but it does help. And then there's alcohol with ala. If you have severe nerve pain, I'm going to tell you three things to use
that will make a huge difference. Yes, you can use gabapentin, which is neuronton. Your doctor prescribes that. The second thing alcohol with ala, that's what we're talking about right now. And the third thing is biocurcumen five loxin, which we'll be talking about in a couple of minuts, because it's great for your nerves and it's great for your brain. So here's a study on the alcohol with ala being neurotrophic, in other words, reducing nerve pain,
healing nerves. This is in the journal Pharmacological Research. It's the rheumatology Unit Luigi Seco University in Milano, which does a lot of research on the brain and on nerve tissue. They do a lot of great research on the brain and nerve pain in Italy and I said, hey, it's nord troffic, it's nerve growth factor release for nerve pain, for spinal pain. So they go on to say it truly is an analgesic for our nerves. So if you have any kind of nerve pain, alcohol with ala should be right
up on top of your list. But it's also great for the brain because it restores brain metabolism. As we grow older, we might still have a functioning memory, but where our brain is so tired and so spent and so fatigued that you get confused and it's hard for you to remember, and you start to get depressed at everything because the brain can't properly use sugar anymore. The alcohol with ala restore the ability of the brain to use sugar for energy.
The brain doesn't use fat for energy. The brain uses fat to make it. Your brain is like sixty percent fat, and it's got to be the correct fats, like fissuals. So the brain does not use fat to make it to form it. It uses fat for the For the cell itself, we'll get into that. The cellular membrane in casing the housing of the cell and the brain doesn't use protein for energy. Protein is important for the brain because it creates a lot of neuro transmitters. But what it uses for
energy is sugar. And it gets harder and harder to use sugar for energy in the brain as we grow older. And as a consequence for that, the sugar actually damages the brain. It kind of burns the brain. It caramelizes the brain. So the alcohol with ALA, instead of sugar damaging your brain, it's once again nourishing your brain and you have brain energy. So
this prevents the apoptosis of nerds, the death of your brain cells. Now here's the general nutrients and this is many university hospitals and many medical centers and many medical schools, about twenty of them involved in the study. And it goes on to say they did a review recently a couple of years ago. Alcohol slows cognitive decline. Now, I have a lot of older friends older in me. Okay, I have some close friends that I'm seventy. I've
some close friends that are eighty. I have close friends that are seventy five. Some of them are quite brilliant. Like I have these two older friends that are in their eighties that are college professors that are brilliant. I mean, you speak to them, their brain is so fast it's hard to keep up with them. They're just unbelievable. But then I have other friends that are like seventy five eighty. You could tell the brain is lacking. Their
brain has slowed down. They're kind of fumbling for words, and like, if I play them cards at one of these games that we play, you know, we get together at nights sometimes a couple of times a week, they're just like dull at the game that they shouldn't be. They but they are so alchar prevents that it makes the brain like like quick and efficient and
energetic and youthful. So here they're saying uh. In the journal Nutrients a couple of years ago, al khart when they looked at a whole bunch of studies, dozens and dozens of studies on humans, not on monkeys, not on rabbits, on humans, alkharts Low's brain decline and it's a significant advantage for the youthfulness and the quickness and the sharpness of your brain. It helps
restore cellular membranes. Now that's really cool. Your brain cell is incased, all your cells are encased in something it's called a cellular membrane, and this protects the cell and it makes the cell. It keeps the cell from getting squashed and damaged and dying. But it also lets to sell, work and communicate and function properly and helps prevent the self from going towards cancer if it's working well. Okay, it restores the health of the solular membrane, but
it also restores synaptic function. That's incredibly important. Your nerves are not connected. If they were connected, you'd have one thought when you were first born, and that thought would never stop. They just keep on going around and around until it burned your brain out. So to prevent that, your brain
cells have a little tiny microscopic spased between and called a synaptic region. And they released the neurotransmitters from one nerve cell to the next one to transmit messages like messages like get your finger out of a hot frying pan, messages like oh I have to buy a dozen eggs this week, or messages like oh
I need a haircut. You need you need to release these nerd transmitters for that, or to do math or anything, for everything, to breathe, to see, to hear to understand well, the synaptic regions get a little burnt out with age. We're focusing on brain health today, Bioso said, alcohol with ala besides being good for your memory and brain energy and brain metabolism and bringing back the youthfulness of age in your brain, it's also
good for nerve pain, which it is. So I want to talk about something that could be used with the alcohol with ala very successfully, which is something I do. It's called biocurcumin five loxin. Now, biocurcument five loxin is two herbs well absorbed turmeric, extremely high in circumen because turmic is very poorly absorbed, so this one is extremely well absorbed. It's been used in menu and clinical trials, and five loxin is Frankinson's and both of them are
excellent for inflammation and pain. So if somebody has back pain, I give alcohol with ala and I give biocurricumin five loxin for their back pain, and it's unbelievable. They feel so good, they're doing so well that they start walking again. And when you could start walking again, that's great for your back. That's great for spinal pain. They start to be able to bend over again and stretch a little bit. It really makes a difference. So
biocircmin five loxin I originally made it for arthritis. At about sixty percent of the people using it user for arthritis. It is great for arthritis. So if you have an arthritic knee and arthritic shoulder or arthritic thumb, doesn't matter, whatever is arthritic, biocircman five loxa will help it. But it's also great for nerve pain, so I use that with alcohol with ala for nerve pain, like if somebody as shingles or somebody as cervisiatica. It really makes
a difference. But it's also great for the brain in general. So let's talk about that. We have these enzyme system antioxidants that defend our brain. They're extremely powerful, like superoxidismetase, gluedithine, peroxidase, but their function and their availability declines with age, and it's not easy to bring them back. So biocurricum five losing step in and make up for that and help restore their function and their level and assist them in doing their job of defending your brain
and preventing the death of brain cells. So biocurric and five locks and have proven to be helpful for your memory and for depression and for brain health without acting as an antidepressant. The way they work is they reduce cellular inflammation in a brain because there's always or pretty much almost always, an element of inflammation in depression. So anybody who is depressed and they're on an antidepressant drug and it's not working well enough, add some bio kurcumin five lox into that drug
and you'll see the drug working much better. See, because depression isn't like one brick is out of a wall, It's like the entire terrain of the wall is out of place. And the way to help get that terrain back to normalcy is to help quench the inflammation and restore antioxy protection in the brain. So the five locks and helps do that. So as you grow older,
superoxide dismaltase. Activity in the brain really starts to sink. By the time you're sixty five, it's just about gone, which means it's easier to kill your brain cells, which happens increase. It happens at an accelerated rate as you age. So a young person if they go to sleep and uh, there's periods when you go into deeper sleep, that's when
you release the brain derived NERD trofic factor. That's why it's so important for you to sleep six seven eight hours when you're older, so you go into enough of these periods of deep sleep where you're creating new memory cells. So a young person when they go to sleep and they sleep six eight hours, they could create six hundred new memory cells. That declines with age, so
an older person might only be creating one hundred new memory cells. So that really the alcohol with ala with the biercurrikuman five loxin is a one two formula for functioning as a tonic for an aging brain, really helping that brain function much better. And these are not the kind of things you're normally told to use for your brain, but they're core to brain health and people over like fifty five, they're quart a brain help.
Now, you shouldn't talk about the brain and supplements without mentioning rest viritual rest verrituil is a phytoal elexen. It protects plants from like the sun and from viruses and mold and mildew and you know, dampness and stuff like that, or extreme heat. For instance, when they grow grapes in Spain, it's it's very dry, it's very hot those grapes. Really, if they're red grapes, they release a lot of rest virtual into the skin to shield the
grape from the heat and from the dryness. So that and that's that's that also tastes good, but it's very healthy. But even the best one, like a good Spanish rioja or Temperaneo, will only have a milligram of rest viritual in a glass. So what are you gonna do? Drink one hundred glasses but you can't do that. So why would I talk about rest virtual and the brain. Well, the first study I saw at rest verritul on
the brain and it was really really good data. And the backs Plank Institute did research and they found that res veritual improved brain function and very elderly people. But they were doing a very sophisticated study. They were using very high performance MRIs magnetic resonance imaging. They were using functional MRIs, the storngest MRI at that time, because it was like, I don't know, five six
years ago, there's even better MRI machines today. So in any event, they saw that when they gave all the people res verritual, it was vasoactive, it was restoring circulation and the brain of these aging people. And that's really important. Your brain is a super high energy organ so when you eat food, your brain grabs a lot of the vitamins and minerals and the energy from the food. It has to do that because without brain function, you're
not functioning. So the brain and it doesn't have a lot of reserves, so it needs to be fed constantly, like two or three meals a day to work well. So the brain grabs all of this energy to get the energy and the vitamins and minerals and all the fatty acids et ce are into the brain and the amino acids. You need a really stall worth, well functioning circulatory system. So you have these arteries in your neck that are big that supply the brain, but they get clogged with age, and circulation to
the brain generally declines between ten to fourteen percent as we age. So there was a study out of Australia about three years ago to reshore study and it was a year long study. One hundred women wound up on it was a two year long study because one hundred women were on respviratual one hundred women were
not res virtual. And they found that the women on rest virtual the brain aging was reversed by about seven years by just taking res virtual for one year, and they found that circulation was restored to their brain by seventeen percent on average. So res Virtual, And that's not the only study showing that.
In the study I was talking about before from the Max Planck Institute in Germany in Berlin, Germany, they showed that circulation was restored to the aging brain, and as the circulation was restored, they saw these functional MRIs that the organs in the brain involved with thinking and all those human things were blossoming.
They were becoming younger and healthier, the organs in the brain on people on res virtual, even people in their seventies and eighties on res virtual, the organs involved with thought and problem solving, all those cognitive functions, all the just organizing et cetera, knowing where you are, knowing what you're doing. They were becoming youthful and energetic and strong again. They were getting robust. And they saw that as the rest ritual was restoring circulation to the aging brain
and these organs were blossoming again, that memory improved. So they were improving the memory of people in their eighties by giving them rest virtual two hundred milligrams a day, two hundred milligrams a day. That is the second thing rest firrituil does for the brain, besides restoring circulation it helps repair the blood brain
barrier. There were cells lining the brain in a circulatory system lining the circulatory system of the brain that repair these blood vessels and prevent bad things from getting into the brain. Those cells get quirky and don't function well with age, and the blood brain barrier, which is a dense barrier for keeping things out of the brain, starts to get leaky with age, and bad things get into the brain that accelerate confusion and memory loss and aging at a brain.
There's a number of studies, especially from Georgetown University and Georgetown Medical Center down in Washington, showing that rest virtual restores the health of the blood brain barrier and aging people. So yes, I take rest fviitual with my breakfast two hundred milligrams every day, and with our rest virtual you have to protect respertual from light and oxygen, and our res vitual is protected from light and oxygen
by the casing it's in. But not only that, there are things that make rest virtual work better that amplified the benefits of the rest virtual, which would be grape seed extract and quarstin. But I do it like if I'm getting sick, I'll do extra I'll do the nuclear tides and I'll do the green tea and it really helps knock the viruses out of my system. Your immune system will not work well unless you have sufficient vitamin D. Plus, your immune system can ruin your lungs if you lack vitamin D. There's plenty of dynamic research, powerful evidence that vitamin D protects you from Alzheimer's disease. Vitamin D lowers your risk of Alzheimer's disease by something like forty percent simply having sufficient You don't need to have huge levels of vitamin D to prevent Alzheimer's, but a lot of people have low levels. So when you have a low level of vitamin D, you have an increased risk of developing Alzheimer's
disease. And the lower the level of vitamin D in your blood, the higher your risk of developing Alzheimer's. So getting sufficient vitamin D back in your body helps prevent you from having an increased risk of developing Alzheimer's. So let's put that in perspective. It's qualitative and quantitative. Having vitamin D lowers the risk of Alzheimer's, and the lower the level of vitamin D in your blood, the higher your risk of developing Alzheimer's. That doesn't mean it's the only
cause of Alzheimer's, and there's probably different variety of Alzheimer's. However, in a nutshell, putting it all together, vitamin D across the board globally when you have enough in your blood. That doesn't mean you go for super high doses of vitamin D because it's not like the more vitamin D you take, the more you're protected from Alzheimer's. There is like a sweet spot. So once your blood has over a thirty level of vitamin D twenty five hydroxycholicolcipherol is
the reading. Once your blood level of twenty five hydroxy colicol sipherol is over thirty, that increased risk of Alzheimer's goes away. It's gone. But if your vitamin D is twenty, you might have a twenty percent higher risk of Alzheimer's disease. But if your blood level of vitamin D is ten or fifteen, you might have a forty percent increased risk of Alzheimer's. So the vitamin D three three thousand units is on specialists in a vegetarian capsule. You only
need one to day. Don't go crazy with vitamin D, Okay, It's not like the more you take the better you are. There is a sweet spot, and three thousand units a day should be enough for just about anybody.
Just about anybody, Okay. So because we're talking about brain health, it's really important for me to mention that about vitamin D. It's really important for me to mention that about vitamin D. Now, we have a formula called methyl B which has the activated versions of specific B vitamins like B six pyrodoxyl phi phosphate. Most B six is are pyridoxine. Some people can't convert
pyridoxine to pirodoxyl phi phosphate. That really hurts the break. Then there's the activated version of B twelve methical baalomin and is the active version of folic acid. That's really important. Fol eight is a B vitamin and equal it folate because it's ubiquitous and foliage. So when you eat green things, you get some folate. So they made a synthetic form called folic acid. Now here's the problem. Some people can't take that synthetic form, nor a form found
in vegetables and activated. It has to be converted in a body. We call that metabolized. It has to be metabolized changed in the body, has to be nipped and tucked into something called methyl tetrahydrofolic. Methyl tetrahydrofolate helps protect you from cancer. So some people have an increased risk of cancer apparently because they can't activate folic acid or folate which is in vegetables, and to methyl
tetrahydrofolic. Because methyl tetrahydrofolate helps prevent damage to DNA caused by pollution, viruses, radiation, cigarette smoke, stuff like that, bad foods, so it helps protect the cells. But methyl tetrahydrofolate is incredibly important for your brain. If you can't take defolate and plant and converted to methyl tetrahydrofoling and you can't
take the synthetic folic acid found in most multivitamins. If you're not getting an invite multivitamin, look at your bottle and I bet you it says folic acid. Okay, if it doesn't say methyl tetrahydrofolate, that doesn't protect your brain because something's going to increase in your brain called homocysteine. That's like a solvent. It's like a solvent in the brain. It's like draina in the brain. It kills brain cells, and it'll kill enough brain cells and cause enough
damage in inflammation and confusion that'll lead to Alzheimer's. Okay, Homocysteine on its own is a risk factor for developing Alzheimer's disease. And what's the thing that lowers homocystine the most effectively, the most efficiently, methyl tetrahydrofolate. So if you see your homocystine is elevated in your blood test, and most doctors don't check homost because they don't know the relevantce a homocystine in the brain. They
only know about it for the heart. It's kind of confusing what it does with the heart. It's bad for the heart, but it's not bad enough on its own to destroy the heart. Okay, so homocysteine is something. If it gets high in the body, like fifteen sixteen the level, it's bad for the heart, but it's not bad enough on its own to destroy the heart. It needs other things to destroy the heart, like super high
cholesterol and surprictory glycerides or high blood pressure. Then it becomes really dangerous for the heart. But on its own it's dangerous for the brain. If homocysteine is elevated in your blood, it is dangerous for your brain and it can increase the risk of Alzheimer's. And in the product called methyl b there's enough methyl tetra hydrofolate to lower homocystine in the brain because homocystine in the brain by
itself can cause Alzheimer's disease. So that's really really important. But because of the combination of the bee vitamins and the will be that also gives you a lot of brain energy. We also discuss certain supplements that Invite has on special this week. Now, let me just say this real quick. If you're concerned about Alzheimer's because maybe one of your brands or your uncle or your brother or your mother had Alzheimer's and a product will nerve
achecks, you know, go that extra step. Most of us don't need it. It's an activated fatty soluble form of vitamin B one that works with the transketola system in the brain to restore the utilization of sugar in a brain. So let me explain that a lot of research like klumby University Cornell, et cetera, shows that Alzheimer's is kind of like diabetes of a brain, and Alzheimer's disease the brain can't create energy. It can't use sugar for energy.
The best thing for restoring the ability of a brain to use sugar for energy is a B vitamin called benfhotiamine, which is a special form of vitamin B one. So you're if you're concerned about Alzheimer's, an extra step you can take to protect yourself. I don't need this, okay, but you might if there's Alzheimer's in a family. You know, I don't mean the kind where everybody gets it, like eighty percent of people in the FA,
but to kind of where randomly is somebody in your family got Alzheimer's. Get on the benfotiamine. Take one a day with food like breakfast, because it's going to really be good for your brain all day long. All day long, your brain's going to be energetic, and it will help restore metabolism in your brain to reduce the risk of Alzheimer's as you go on. What do
we call it at invite we call it nerve HX nerve HX. Now, a multivitamin is important for the brain because you need all these different vitamins and minerals. You need zinc to protect the brain, and you need manganese you need copper, and you need vitamin C, and you need vitamin E. All these things are important. But if you get vitamin D, Vitamin D lowers risk of dementia. But if you get the Invite multivitamin, there's additional
ingredients that are great for your brain. There's a special form of vitamin E E like Edward that's incredibly protective for the human brain,
called tocotrianol. Multivitamins don't normally have tocotrianowol. Envite put tocotrianol in their multivitamin because it's so good for your brain. So when you get thet multine, you're getting the active full eight methyl teth are hydrofolic, you're getting the active B twelve ethical baliment, You're getting all those other things do a great for the brain, like vitamin D and manganese and zinc and all these things,
but you're getting loutine, you're getting toco triangles. These things are amazing for lowering the risk of dementia, for improving brain function, for protecting the brain, especially in people over like fifty. It's really really good. So any of the invite maltese, you really can't talk about the brain unless you also discuss the multese. Now I won't be able to talk about everything for the brain. I won't be able to talk about phosphatyle ceeruing phosphatyl ceiring interrex to
make the celulo membrane, the housing of your brain. But I'll talk about krill oil. Now, you could take fish oil. You could eat fish or you could take krill oil. They're all great for your brain. Your brain is sixty percent fat. You don't want your brain made out of fat from margarine or from pizza or from butter. You want your brain made out of the fat from fish oils. Fish oils create the cellular membrane. The outside of brain cell is incredibly complex. It has plasminogens in it that protect
it. It has all these different phosphatides that make it work and cause the release of nerd transmitters and make the brain work effectively in fast so you can survive and thrive. But as we age the outside of the cell, the cellular membrane stiffens and doesn't work well, like it's not conducting information quickly, so the brain slows down. You get forgetful, you're even at higher risk
of dementia and depression. So when you take a good fish oil, or when you eat fish, or when you take krill oil, it restores that suppleness to the brain cell, so the brain cell doesn't die easily. Set of brain cell functions, so the electric signals because the brain is electronic, function very quickly. You know, That's why you have things in la manganese and zinc conctera to make the brain function like like an incredible battery. And
so the brain, the cell, the housing going to sell. The membrane cell you the membrane, that's what we call it has to be elastic, and officials keep it supply and elastic, so information moves smoothly and quickly like somebody who's in their twenties instead of somebody who's in their eighties. But if you get Krill, there's an additional bonus because Krell also has phosphatides. Now
that's really important. The membrane of the cell in your brain, in fact, all your cells, but it's really important in your brain has phosphatato cooline, phosphatatyle, anocetol, phosphatatyle ethanolamine. It has plasmenagens that protect the brain cell from dying. Kroll makes all these things. They're all in krill. You can make plasmalogens that protect your brain cell simply by taking Krill. It's really an important function of krill, and that's why I do Krill instead officials.
But Krill has one other benefit. You know I mentioned before al car with ala at the starts program. Alcohol with ala restores the ability to create and release a setyle calling in the brain. So why is that important. A seatle colling transmits information in the brain. So when you remember anything like how to fix your car engine, how your cell phone works, how did GPS in your car works, how to use your cable TV and the remote
control, that's a setle calling. When you learn something new and you remember it three weeks later, that's a seatle colling. A seatle colling levels drop in our brain with age, and it's very bad for the brain because you can't repay your brain. You can't create new memory cells when you go to sleep at night. We discussed out at the START program. You can't connect information, you can't release other the Neuer transmitters. It's really bit so when
you take krill, you're getting phosphatyle coling. Phosphatyle coling is capable of entering the brain easily and efficiently to release the coaling to make the seedy coling. Other forms of coaling, it's hard to get them into the brain. They don't enter the brain that efficiently. So when you take krill, and this is why I love krill, you're getting phosphatyle coling. You always take krill with food, just like fish wails, you're always take them with food.
You get the phosphatyle coling. The phosphatyle coling easily enters the brain cell and releases the coaling the alcohol with ala releases in a sealal group, you create a seedyl coling that is great for your memory. That is great for healing the brain. That is great for protecting the brain and preventing the death of brain cells. That is great for nourishing the brain. That is great for creating new memory cells when you go to sleep at night. So all of
these things are important for the brain. I happen to take wall often because they do fifty thousand other things too. So the things that are good for the brain are generally good for the heart and the kidneys and the liver, and you know, they're good for a lot of things. They're good for a lot of things. So I happen to take all these things, which is good because here I am seventy years old, and I think I'm pretty dark proficient at doing these radio programs, and if you watch me playing games
against other people my age, I generally do better. My brain is quicker, Yeah, card games and things. So what else is great for the brain. It's you know, there's so many things that are good for the brain. Enough, sleep, exercise, vegetables, fresh fruits, especially berries like blueberries, oranges, apples, blueberries, they're great for your brain. There's a lot of things in it are good for the brain. Green tea is good for the brain. A supplement called NAC is good for the brain.
Why NAC stands for ncetyl systein. NAC resources the function of an antioxidant enzyme that is key to brain health called glutathione peroxidise So animals that have more glut to thione live longer, they have longer life spans, so like a well, a horse, a parrot because some parents live one hundred years. Turtles, they have higher levels of glut to thione than animals that don't live as long, like a rat or a mouse. Because glutedthion protects you from
the environment. But glutathion also breaks down toxins and removes them from the human body well, because you know, you can get toxic overload if you're getting in too much pollution. Your body's defense mechanisms can't keep up with it, and it starts to break down your body. I mean, that's what pollution does to the body right in overtime. Like it could cause a heart attack. It caused the stroke. It could damage your lungs, you could damage
you kidneys, you could damage your brain. It's not good. So taking NAC helps you break down pollutants and toxins and the chemicals and your food, et cetera quicker and get them out of the body. It works in the kidneys and liver to get rid of them. It also protects the lungess from soot and pollution and smoking things. But it's really good to brain. It helps defend the brain effect. NAC in the brain helps people with addictions.
So like if you were taking chanticks to quit smoking, add some NAC to the chantticks and it'll help you quit smoking. You won't need the cigarette to raise dopabine levels so you feel normal. The NAC will make the brain right again. You won't need the cigarette to feel normal. Because people smoke cigarettes to feel normal because the brain doesn't working well.
