there this week. I had a trade show that I had to attend, and I was pleasantly surprised that the weather was quite nice, so that it was still a little chilly for me coming from South Florida, of course, but it was a nice break for me to get out of the heat and humidity. So today I have a lot of things that I need to cover with you and highlights some different products. I'm going to talk about the science on Way protein because I think that there's a lot of misconception or I don't know what exactly the word to use when it comes to way protein, and I kind of myself probably fell into this category many many years ago, where when I would look at a protein powder, I was thinking, oh, that's just for you know, people who were going to the gym and working out. You know, why would the average person want to take away protein isolate? But it's very very important.

I'm gonna talk about the science as to why that is so darn important for you to consider having this into a daily supplementation routine. So

So I always say you can find things. It's interesting when I used to teach at the medical school and I would meet with some of my students via zoom and they would always laugh and say, oh my gosh, doctor Williams, you and this hula hoop because I kept the hula hoop in my office and so in between different meetings, I would get up and I would hula hoop for you know, I don't know, maybe two three minutes.

And it actually it helps not only its exercise, but it helps lower stress because I'm telling you try and hula hoop and think about anything other than keeping that hoop around your hips. So you know, you can find things. You can find ways to stay physically active without having to sign up for a gym. Now, before I get into today's product specials, I do want to talk about a interesting study that came out because I talk so often about the importance of sleep and why sleep matters, because if you're not getting good sleep, your body can't repair. And that's just, you know, as simple as it is. If you're not sleeping good, you're not repairing. If you're not repairing, your cells are dying. If your cells are dying, we're shortening our lifespan. We don't want to do that. There's so many other

things that you do damage to ourselves. So we have to make sure that we are getting adequate sleep. If you're not, you know, work on that. To come and talk to us and say, you know, I get up, you know, multiple times in the middle of the night because I'm going to the bathroom. I'm going to talk about the prostate HX formulation today because we know so many men deal with this and it's not men who are, you know, seventy eighty years old. Once again, this starts

to affect men in their forties. So you want to make sure that you were doing the right thing, because if you're forty years old and you start finding that you're getting up one or two times in the middle of the night, well just fast forward another decade when you're fifty, maybe you're getting up three times. So this is going to start to affect your quality of sleep, which means you're not repairing yourself. Big problem. So anyways, I

digress. The Harvard Medicine News Journal, they publish some findings looking at sleep and how sleep is so important when it comes to longevity, and your diet is playing a role into this. And I talk about this often that when you're following a standard American diet, and unfortunately the majority of Americans daily intake is somewhere around sixty percent of the foods that you're eating are ultra processed,

which means they are not nutriant dens. So they're giving you calories, but they're not giving you any of those key nutriants and those antioxidants that your body needs to be able to fight off oxidative stress. So we know that the protective role of antioxidants, which is why we zero in on those so often on this show that we have to be able to get these not only from

our diet, but then also cover those gaps via supplementation. So they published this in the Journal of Cell and they saw this correlation with the And this is an animal study, so they were using flies. And you may think, why are you testing with flies, But it's really fascinating when you look

at anti aging studies. The lifespan of flies is really quite intricate, and when you zero in on how different environmental factors, how different nutritional factors can affect either in a positive or negative way, the overall longevity of a fly, then we can translate this over into human studies. So nonetheless, this study was looking at diet and how that was having an effect on either gaining

sleep or losing sleep. And so we can once again kind of go back to why would we want to incorporate in way protein isolet For example, getting that amino acid spectrum that our way protein isolet is yielding, you can help you get better sleep at night. Once again, you may go into an invite health store and see the way protein and say not for me, why

would I want to use this? But now we're going to start to understand that what's actually contained and are very clean, powerful way protein islet can help

to promote healthier sleep for you. So this is a wonderful thing. And when you start to to break down the science of what it is, that way protein is actually doing outside of the main component that we usually zero in on, which is maintaining muscle mass, which is key not just for going and working out and building stronger muscles and getting you know, bulking up, but as we grow older, we want to be able to avoid age related

muscle mass loss, also known as sarcopenia. If we have sarcopenia, that's not a good thing. If we are wasting away. And that's basically what it is. And I always say people will use that term, Oh, that person looks incredibly frail. Well, we don't want to become frail. We want to try to maintain our muscle mass and our muscle tone as we grow older because this is protecting our underlying skeleton, so helping to keep our

bones nice and strong. But it's doing so much more than that. We can see how it is that way protein is actually lowering cardiovascular risk, it's helping to boost up our immune system. It is very protective when it comes to brain health. And this is the fascinating thing when you really start to dive into all of the ways in which way protein can help you. And this is the reason why today I really want to talk about the science of Way protein and the form that we are using. So just to you know,

put way proteins into two different buckets for you. We can see that there's unfortunately a lot of really junkie protein powders out there on the market, and where they're sourcing the protein from, how they actually manufacture it, how they are pumping them up with all these added preservatives in different sugars. So at the end of the day, it's not healthy for you and it's not going to be doing what we need. The way protein islet to do.

So ours is a New Zealand sourced and this is very important because we know that when we are sourcing the Way from New Zealand, we are getting it incredibly clean amino acid spectrum because these are grass fed and they haven't been exposed to antibiotics or to any pesticides, no hormones, and think about that. You're getting fiber to regulate your blood sugar and your blood pressure and your cholesterol, and you're getting the protein and those amino acids to help with the regulation even of your sleep. Cycle. So just talk about that study out of Harvard, but we know it it's doing much more than that. And so looking at the science on way protein it comes to aging individuals, it's incredibly impressive. And in the Experimental Garontology

Journal in twenty twenty they talk about this. They talk about incorporating in way protein isolate into the diet and how this had an association not only with the physical aspect of this, so maintaining that muscle mass, but when it came to performance outside of just thinking muscles, so we're talking cognition and memory and

feeling much better. And so the clinical outcomes from this review that they did, so they did a meta analysis and they looked at thirty five different studies where they incorporated in way protein isolate and individuals who were getting older in age, and they were looking at all of these different markers, and what was interesting was they started to see this profound, that positive effect when it came

to prevention of cardiovascular and metabolic risk. So when you were looking at individuals who came into the studies who had signs of cardiovascular disease, had metabolic diseases such as diabetes, and when they started to incorporate way protein isolate into their diets. They started to get better management of this very very impressive. Clearly when it comes to you know, rehabilitation, so you have to go in and you have to have knee surgery, for example, get our way protein

isolate. Take that along with the ATP caps. You will find that you're healing process and bouncing back from that surgery will be much smoother if you incorporate in the way protein isolate. And there are so many ways that you can use this into your daily routine. And we have wonderful recipes avail on our website and you can also speak with our nutritionist too as to how you can get creative with that way protein. Some people like to take it straight up,

and that's just fine. You can, you know, just take your your scoop of the way protein added in maybe with some you know, almond milk or I know that you're supposed to call it drink now, but soy milk whatever it is, your oat milk, whichever milk you want to be using. But you can also find really unique and creative ways to add this

in with different berries. For example, make yourself a nice little smoothie so This is one of those things that when it comes to our powdered supplementations and something like the way protein, we've got a bunch of different ways for you to use this on a regular basis. So I talk about how way protein is not only to maintain that muscle mask, but more importantly is what's under those muscles, which is our bones. And in the Journal of iCal Endochronology

and Metabolism in twenty fifteen they talk about this. They look at how way protein supplementation really help to maintain bone mass. And this makes sense, right because if your muscles are kind of wasting away, what's going to happen to to the underlying bone, Well, that starts to have that negative effect too, and that starts to waste away. Once again, we oftentimes chalk this up. It's like, ah, well, we're just getting older, so we should just accept this. No, folks, we don't need to accept

this. We know from the science. We know from recognizing what these different proteins can do, these amino acids can do. I mean goodness, said the British Journal of Nutrition. Over a decade ago, they came out with a study that I think should be kind of like shouted from the rooftops when

it comes to why someone would want to take Way protein. So they took a group of individuals who were obese and had insulin resistance, so maybe they were actually technically diabetics, but they all had problems with high glucose and insulin resistance and overweight. They said, well, let's just see if we start to give these folks Way protein isolate, if this will start to normalize their blood sugar level, if this will actually help them maybe lose some weight.

And sure enough, twelve week trial, twelve week trial of a group of individuals who were overweight, and they found that their insulin resistance started to go away, they were getting better control of their blood glucose levels, and they were losing weight. So we know that if we are maybe a little sedentary,

we're not doing the right things in our diet. Yeah, maybe taking the Way protein isolate from invite health that you know as cleans coming from New Zealand, as those wonderful essential amino acids, those you're building blocks to proteins. It's going to help, of course, maintain your muscle mass, but it's also going to help your bones. It's going to help your GI track,

which means it's going to help your immune system. Getting all of those amino acids can help to support your mood because when you get the exposure to all of these different amino acids things like tripped to fan for example, this can help with the serotonin release, our happy neurotransmitter. We have to think, hey, I'm going to take this Way protein isolate because it helps my mood. Maybe I have a little low mood, maybe I have a little anxiety, but now that I'm using the Way protein isolet, I feel much better. And we can see how it's helping to enhance glutathione, all

of our natural antioxidants. It has cysteine in this, so that amino acid cysteine works as the precursor to making glutathione, which is one of our body's most important antioxidants. So there are numerous ways, numerous studies. There was a fascinating study down in Australia where they gave way protein isolet to individuals and they found that through supplementation of way protein isolate, it actually helped to stabilize

their folate and be twelve levels. And that's pretty darn important too, because once again we start to draw those connections and you see how it is that a vitamin like folate has been linked to so many aspects of our health, cellular detoxications, helping our liver, helping the brain. And if we're taking way protein islet and this allows the body to have better management of its B vitamins, well yeah, that's probably a pretty darn good thing. Another fascinating

study on folate. I just want to mention this since I just came to my mind earlier this month. There was a study that came out of Two Lane University and looking at the correlation between ineffective or inappropriate folate synthesis in the body and problems with the joints. So you may think, well, how does B vitamin have something to do with my joint health? Well, as we know our vitamins and minerals are tied into so many aspects of our health.

And so we look at folate for example, and just keep this in mind, two folks, we're entering into the warmer months. Folate levels start to decline in the summer, So it's advantageous to at minimum be taking something like our core multivitamin, but really add in that methyl B product during the summer, in particular because we don't want our folate levels to go down because now we recognize, okay, that can affect the way that my body detoxifies

every day. It's going to affect my mood, and it can also affect my joints. So fascinating study, but it kind of tied into mthf our gene mutations, and not to get too heavy into the science on that, but that's actually a test that we offer. So not only do we have our entire line of wonderful dietary supplements, we also do genetic testing for these different gene variants, and we can see that individuals who have a gene mutation

within the pathway to which folate is processed in the body. If you have that g mutation, this can lead to problems such as non alcoholic fatty liver disease and depression. Anxiety, but also problems with joint health. So just another side note there. So Way protein isolate. Nonetheless, you start using the Way protein isolate, you know in your mind, okay, this is

going to help with my B vitamins. If you don't believe me, have your B vitamin levels tested, you know, say, before you start using the Way protein isolate, go to your doctor, have your folate and your B twelve level tested. Saturday. Just talked about our way protein isolate. Now I'm talking about active h X. So active HX contains HMB. HMB is so incredibly important and something that once again we recognize that as we are getting older, as with so many things in the body, our body makes less and less of this. So HMB has actually been shown to be tied in to so many aspects

of our health. It's working not only as a kind of a muscle building molecule, but it's also working as a muscle protectant molecule, which is important takeaway. It's actually preserving the muscle mass. It's protecting your muscles from that age related muscle mass loss at sarcopenia. So this is why it's a wonderful

partnership to use that way protein islet along with the active HX. We've been able to see that when people start to replenish their HMB levels that this not only can help with the muscle mass, but it actually helps even individuals who are struggling with trying to lose weight. So when it comes to those who are overweight, maybe your sedentary. They set up this study and they took a group of individuals who were between the ages of twenty and forty five years

old, and they were all overweight. They all were sedentary, meaning they weren't going and they weren't exercising of any sorts. And they said, well, let's give them HMB. This was a randomized, placebo controlled trial.

Let's give them HMB and let's do this for six weeks. Let's see if this has any shift in terms of their muscle strength, on their body composition, on their waist circumference, and fascinating enough, they found that just giving these individuals this very important molecule back into the system that they started to get

improvement on all of these different markers. Now we can look at the athletics studies with the use of HMB, and in the Journal of Nutrients they go into detail how twelve week supplementation of HMB in athletes, so people who are used to going and working out on a regular basis, how this actually helped them when it came to muscle recovery post exercise to prevent muscle damage brought on because of the exercise. Because we have to recognize you exercise itself can create

havoc in the body. We should exercise though, but this was another way to see that even in well trained athletes, even in people who are very physically fit, that incorporation of the active HX formulation really can provide so much balance. And it's doing this because it's working on multiple pathways. So it's helping the body regulate inflammation, it's helping to bolster up antioxidants to protect ourselves, and it's even working to help with the regulation of different hormonal pathways.

So it has this direct influence with our endocrine system. So this is why when people start to use the act of product, they're like, wow, you know I once again I fell much better. And this makes sense because when you start to break down things that are naturally occurring in the body and you say, okay, this is something that the body comes equipped with. As I get older, it starts to go down. My diet is not yielding me enough of the loucine for my body to naturally make enough HMB to

keep up with all of the stressors. So yeah, if I start to supplement with this, I'm going to feel better. I'm gonna not only help with you know, maintaining healthier weight and maintaining my muscle mass, but my overall sense of well being is going to improve. So wonderful partnership between the active HX and the way protein islet. Now let's carry on. Let's think since we're talking anti aging, you can't get much better than resveratrol, and

we have our resveratral max. The resveratrol max that we offer is absolutely the most powerful risveratral I have ever come across on the market. We used to have our riserveratral HX, which we still do have, and that one at the time was when I first came on board to Invite Health and I was looking at that formulation.
