Over the past decade, the use of multifactor investing in corporate bonds has increased dramatically. As a result of high-quality datasets and extensive research, robust factor strategies have been developed, allowing investors to benefit from additional diversification. The diversification benefit resulting from the low correlation between multifactor investing and traditional active bond management became evident during the COVID-19 crisis, among others.
