Hello, and welcome everyone to the intuitive lifestyle success podcast where we explore empowered, conscious living for priceless advantages for your wellness, your business and your life. I'm your host master intuitive business coach and energy therapy practitioner Cathleen Miller, and today's episode number 41. We are still in May the dream month, and today is about lucid dreaming tips to transform your life and lucid dreaming, you know, we've covered a lot of ground on

dreaming this month. And lucid dreaming is really I'm very excited about today, because this is one that is definitely a little bit more advanced for dreamers that, you know, their statistic is about half of people have experienced a lucid dream at some point, which basically is really one of the lower brain states because when you're in deep, deep REM and deep, deep sleep, you know, you there's, as we come up into more waking states, we have different levels of being able to have a

stronger recall. So in between those higher states of going into wit fully awake state, and in that sort of dreamy, where you're still in the dream, or maybe you wake up and you're in kind of a really yummy state of still feeling like you're here, but you're also in the dream a

little bit as well. And sometimes it may be where there's a sense of, you know, the dream still lingering, and there that it is possible to still kind of jump back in, especially if it's a good dream, where you want to just go have that good experience and, and those good feelings, but it also can be a challenging dream, where there's a comp, you know, confrontative, or a, you know, fearful type theme happening, where you're wanting to go back and, you know, address it or

understand it more. And so this is where, you know, being able to definitely The first step is setting your intention that you're desiring to get more healing or get more understanding in your, about what's happening in your life. You know, the purpose of bringing this as a theme this month was really to help inspire, you know, to take your dreaming further really to, you know, understand what your higher self and your soul is really attempting to show you

reflect to you. And and that even you know, challenging or fearful type themes are really not bad. Sometimes it's an awareness of something that you have a belief about that's in

the way. And other times it's you know, influences that aren't the healthiest that maybe in wake state, you're not really paying attention to so the dreams trying to get your attention to help you be more aware of what that is so, so definitely, you know, one aspect of it and as an avid dreamer that I've said before, you know, I definitely have a couple dreams, you know, in my lifetime

that were so, so powerful. And one of them that definitely was a lucid state was, you know, I had for years, dreams of struggling with someone coming after me. And, and this was, I don't know, 1015 years ago, were in the dream. I was in a similar situation, that was a common occurrence in this, this dream theme. And there was just it, I was moving into wake

state. And I remember kind of going back in the dream with a really powerful sort of internal core desire for this to be different for me to be beyond this fear. And when I went back into it, and I remember, you know, literally, this person coming at me, flipping them onto the ground flipping that, like crushing them and having them where they I believe they just peered. And when I when I did come to all the way into wake state, I knew one that that was really transformed for me that

really was so so powerful. And and the emotion was so strong, there was a sense of empowerment, there was a sense of that won't ever, you know, Shadow me the way it has in the past. And that feeling of empowerment also resonated for

days. And I will say to after that time, not that I haven't had dreams of similar you know, kind of theme, but they were never to the degree of What they used to be before that experience, so that's really a powerful example of dream healing from lucid state, because I was kind of coming out of the dream and feeling myself pull back in like, No, I'm not going to, you know, come out of this, and I want to make this different, the desire and the psyche and the consciousness was

stronger. And the desire to have that be different or transmuted, was part of what allowed that to go back in and change. And so for you with whatever dream theme is happening for you, because sometimes we're maybe worried about our children, or we have relationship difficulties, or maybe we're not

getting opportunities. So depending on what's happening in your life, or maybe, you know, with deaf, definitely with dream themes as well, because that sometimes is more complicated or more complex challenges that are happening, you know, asking to, you know, really bring those up, like asking your higher self, what can I dream, like constructively dream about here, that can be changed, what can I contribute here that will allow this to get to a better place, so that's definitely one step.

And then also getting clear. If you are dream journaling, the next step is really, if you're aware of dream themes, or kind of, you know, using my example, that there's maybe one particular dream that has a lot of not great emotion, and you're you are desiring to, to clear that concern, or heal that part of your life, then that would be one where, you know, you're asking for your awareness of strength, your awareness of that being different, and bringing that kind of into the dream,

too. So you're seeking to, you know, have a different take on it have a different experience in it. And that's where all of a sudden the dream because of course, in dream state, it's, you know, anything goes. So you can go from, you know, very small to large, it's like cartoons, like you can change shape, you can change texture, you can change form. So this is part of that the creativity and being open to creatively moving into the, again, the change or the transformation that we're

desiring. So that's something to really play with, and then really to stay open minded, because sometimes we start to get intentional, and then completely different dreams come up, or characters really change, which may again, be more awareness that we are not quite, you know, privy to just yet. And that's where the dream journaling over time, can be

really powerful. Because I've, you know, as I mentioned before, in doing dream work with clients, sometimes they'll mention how, you know, one set of challenging dreams has evolved over the years, which, and sometimes this is where sometimes it's tricky to know it for yourself, but what it's showing you is your evolution

around that subject. So if it's gotten worse, or the dreams have gotten more challenging, or maybe they've evolved in a way that you can't quite create logic from, but sometimes those symbols and what is transpiring in it? And as I said before, what's most important is how you're feeling when you wake up from the dream not to be too literal, with what's going on, but just really being aware of, does it feel more satisfying?

Does it feel more like it's in a less complicated place, or, again, to go back to my example, does it feel like something where you woke up feeling quite powerless, all of a sudden becomes an empowered state of that won't ever, I won't be afraid of that moving forward, and that's not really an issue in my life moving forward. And that with any negative issue is really the name of the game you want to neutralize and clear it so that it does evolve out of your waking state experience.

And that is possible that is super powerful potential of transformation that is possible

in lucid dreaming. So, so definitely, you know, being creative, being open minded, and, and also, you know, watching how, whether it's your body evolving, or maybe it's stages that your life is going in and out of, because there's, you know, sometimes we have dreams for years around a certain stage of, you know, becoming maybe it's an age you're going to turn or maybe it's you know, something with aging parents or you know, you're you're coming out of a career or you're moving into an

expanded state. So it's it's sometimes it's a positive growth. Oh, It's sort of a downsizing change of transformation. And in either case, everyone is so completely unique on how they are processing that, how well they are, you know, allowing their just day to day life to kind of Thrive from that. And, and again, this is where if there are stick points, or there are just aspects that you know, are more struggle than they need to be, the dreamstation should be

showing you that. So it is possible, you know, being able to move into that lucid state.

And one thing I recommend, too, is if you are, you know, if you have time, sometimes, if you can do an early alarm, that you just turn off quickly, and then go back to sleep and you have a few more hours, sometimes that pulls you into a higher dream state that you can then go back in and a lot of people mentioned, like maybe go to the bathroom at three or four, and then you have maybe 567, you're going back to

sleep. And then sometimes, you know, everybody's a little bit different, but that can pull you into a higher brain state to be able to bring that lucid state up, or sometimes for some napping in a different place where you can allow yourself to, you know, have that space to kind of move in and out of going into lower states in practicing deeper states of consciousness, sometimes that can pull you into, you know, dream state, if you've ever had that, where maybe you're home alone, and

you're, you're just relaxing and going into a nap and then somebody comes in pretty abruptly. And you kind of come all the way into wake state. But you but you're aware I was in I was going in you were in lucid somewhere there. And, and so those are states to play with,

and practice with. So that you can strengthen that consciousness, strengthen that awareness of, you know, different states of wake to sleep, that will help you have more strength, to then get into the capacity to actually be, you know, influencing it, because that's ultimately that's where it's a little bit more advanced is having the strong enough consciousness to go back in and really influence the factors and be changing that, but it's very,

very powerful. I think this is an area of, you know, healing, that's profound, it's an area of, you know, whatever the issue that you feel, has been eluding you and changing or transforming, this is really a powerful place to play. And, and

work here for sure. So definitely, you know, just setting the intention, if this is something you're desiring to do, and asking for support or awareness of any other, you know, aspects that will help to, you know, set this experience up with you and put you in a space to, you know, have a positive experience with us, because

dreams are amazing. It's, you know, it's just a whole nother world that can contribute to when we do come into full third dimensional state of having, you know, the highest quality of life here too.
