At the end of one's life, the soul travels from our tangible Earthly world to an evanescent location known colloquially as "The Beach." Although The Beach is not placable on any map, and may appear differently to different transient passengers, one thing is always the same: The Man. There is a man who stands on the beach, shuttling the phantom personage of those who find themselves before him to either a greater beyond, or straight back to Earth. Not much is known about this man, beyond his rather striking appearance: He's described as a bright orange, rocky visage. In fact, some would say he is more "thing" than "man."
