Insuphishient presents: Songs 50–26
Episode description
Things have gotten weird on Insuphishient.
We’re deep into the Top 100 Phish Songs of All Time countdown and the pressure is getting to the hosts.
Matt is now only speaking in Spanish.
Nick has developed a stress-induced lisp.
And yet somehow, we’re still counting down the tracks — #50 through #26, the messy middle where the jams are hot, the opinions are loud, and the show starts to sound like the Grateful Dead just peeked around the corner and whispered: "Don’t tell me this town ain’t got no heart…"
Because it does.
Today’s episode features:
- A tense debate over #42, which Matt insists is “la canción del sol interior”
- Nick attempting to say “Fuego” with dignity and failing
- A listener text that just says “What street is this?” followed by a photo of an actual shakedown
- A full three-minute detour where Nick demands justice for Bug and Matt responds, “No hay problema, pero no.”
Also:
- #33 makes Matt scream into a pillow
- #27 is played backwards through a fish tank while Nick recites Trey’s Wikipedia page with tears in his eyes
- Someone submitted “A Day in the Life” five times. It didn’t help. (Should have made the list)
We’re not at the top yet, but we can see it. And the heat is rising.
This Day in Phish-Tory. Tracks 50 through 26. Don’t tell me this show ain’t got no weird… Let’s go.
