Well, if you listen carefully, you will not hear any clown music, curb your enthusiasm music, crash sounds. Because for the first time in a while, we're opening a podcast that was not either covering a Jayhawks loss or a Jayhawks almost loss. Like it's been a little bit since since we've done that, which but we kind of all lose whenever we're doing offseason shows, right, this is kind of a loss. Yeah, we'll have loss energy. Other than one specific things you sad Sad law. Oh, does it
have anything to do with Caliparis, the god himself is a dward. It also has to do with whale Genitalia. Oh hey, well, I'll leave your mind open to interpretation on that, because somehow Landon you and I are still very much engaged with the podcast. Our third half is it's kind of like Michael Jordan with the Wizards. At this point, you really want to be done, Nick and and Brett Farr with the Vikings and the life last year energy here Like you're like it's nine thirty at nine Rogers every year of
his career. Yeah, I'm just here to talk about the what we know about the Jayhawks schedule thus far. Next year at ten o'clock on a work night, Nick, how are you? And your retirement is impending? But not until we get a couple more. I'm just here so I don't get fine. Hey, I don't find you on this show, sir. I can't find you more than you make all your career. You find him a percentage of his salary. That's well, And it doesn't matter what that percentage
is. The fine is equally damaging, is what that is. We're gonna talk about the Jayhawks, who there is a couple of there's been a couple of acquisitions that they've made, and some news, but I feel like the bulk of the news has come from around the country, Like you guys have now done this show six or seven off seasons worth, and the coaching carousel is never a noteworthy topic on this show other than just like the big usually, but it is this year, and it's all happened in the last week.
So yeah, we'll go ahead, and we'll go ahead and talk all about everything. This is inside the paint. I'm Ryan Landrath. I am no longer the coach of Kentucky. I am John Drew, which well that might be who Kentucky is having to call at this point because people keep telling them no, Okay, let's talk all about it. Okay, So we start with Kansas offseason news. We'll recap the NCAA tournament kind of and talked about all the other stuff. But this is a Jayhawk podcast, so we
lead off with Kansas news. They've gotten two basketball acquisitions here. I have two co hosts on this podcast. Why don't you each take one. I'll let you fight over who gets to open the first Christmas present, like on Christmas right now, I'll go first. I want to go first so bad. Come on, dad, let me go first. Okay. In the last week, Jayhawks landa two players in the transferport of The first was Florida transfer Riley Coogle, a six five guard out of Orlando. He averaged about
nine points per game each of the last two seasons with Florida. He's a career thirty five percent three point shooter, but he's been at forty percent in the SEC each of his seasons. He did have one year where he was like a thirty nine percent shooter across the entire season. Another year he was like thirty one, but he did shoot well in conference. Played both times he has two seasons of eligibility left, judging by how those kind of transfers
normally go, especially considering he played at Florida. He did play minutes. I think ideally you're probably looking for him to come off the bench. Probably has a solid piece though. Landon, you sound congested, af I am you have had a I am I had a cold. Sorry if that's really annoying. I had a cold last week and I'm still I'm feeling way, way way better, but I still have some nasally stuff going on. For
sure. It's that time of year, as Nick alluded to, where it's like, is this an al o G attack or is this a cold? I can't tell if it's all the pollen and mold or if I touched the doorknob both. How are COVID throw that in the mix? I couldn't taste Mine was COVID, So that was fun. When was that? It's been a while since COVID took away your taste? When was this? Yeah? No, mine, mine took away. I lost my taste like this past week. For I've known him. Whoa so the guy that's watched three movies
in his life? Oh wow? Okay, gotta start firing bullets. Yeah, Nick, it's like the end of It's like the end of the breakup where the divorce papers signed, in the physical aggression that starts to take place. I never loved you. And also I want our children very badly now. And that piano that I've never sat at or played ever, that's mine now I want that in my new house. That's all right, funny,
You'll be getting all the alimony money because of the Kansas laws. I think I'm the kid in this analo, even though I'm older than both of you. Like, I'm looking at both sides. Get Ryan, I'm looking at both sides being like, I don't want to testifying court and choose between these two. This is terrible. I'm staying with the family. I'm keeping what's left of this family together. I mean, if we're being honest, you're the kid that kind of took a part in the divorce, because you're the
kid that just made noises all the time. You know, like you're you on the soundboard over there. Just mommy, Mommy and daddy would tell you to be quiet. You just won't. Finem ex mommy. Josh Briscoe may or may not be wandering the streets these days. Yeah, somewhere else. You'll have to go back to your ex and I will testify in court. The dad wants to leave the family and all stick with mom. I guess who wants to keep me around? So I guess that makes Nick the dad.
I'll be the child. I guess, yeah, I do like that. So, yes, that is me openly asking Josh Brisko to come back on the show to a show he definitely does not listen to. Josh hasn't listened to this show in at least five years. I can't blame him at all for that. If this finds him somehow, come back, please, please come back big time. Daniel trying to tell Perry Ellis to change the way he plays energy. You're saying, Josh be the cool step dad.
I will send him this now. I'm sure he'll appreciate it. Uh So the group chat between Nick Land and I we need sports badly because we haven't had the Jayhawks in a few weeks, and the and the group chat has just turned into all the random questions you could ever imagine, and some sociology questioning has gotten thrown in there as well, and and it's it's just been
a big housing rates yeah, yeah, the Johnson County housing rates. Uh, talking about people who can and can't drive, talking about KU potential commits, the Kentucky coaching search, if Jennifer Lawrence looked better with blonde hair or brown hair. It's just been a total mess. And I was Landon's answer with most of those questions. So yes, back to cook show. But I hope that the group chat never dies. I see, I'm not live
the Mitch Lightfoot profile on the opposite. I'll do one hundred seas of this show, but that group chat's gonna go at least one of us in trouble one day. I just don't haven't figured out how yet. So Coogle, Yes, he comes to Kansas after a couple of years at Florida, wherever he was a solid player. He started most of his games there. I love how he is, how he has two years of eligibility left. We're done now with the will they won't they take an extra COVID year. Anybody
who is back as a senior this year. That's it. There are still some players like Hunter Dickinson and Dwan Harris that could slash will take their senior year, so they will be seniors slash super seniors next year. But that's it. After this, we're done. Everybody's back to getting four years. It's gonna get a lot easier to keep track of and that Rock Chuck Blug scholarship chart will probably come back to life now because that was impossible to update.
Remember, like we would openly not know if players are Joe Yesafu was in his fourth year and was marked as a junior and we were like, does that mean he's got two years? Like we didn't know. So it's get easier now google two years. Six foot five athletic wing. This is a guy who one of his strengths at Florida was creating his own shot. It didn't always win the basket, but he's a guy who wasn't afraid to
pull up and shoot and create his own shot off the bounce. That's something that Kansas had none of once Kevin mccullor went down for the year with his injured knee. So I think it's a great acquisition. I'm with Land and I'm not sure if he's gonna start. I would suspect that he'll be a one of the six seventh men on this team and then probably we'll move into the starting role as a senior. And of course oh that too. He's got two years left. Woo. That's up in the air because guy's transfers
so much. Who knows if he'll play both years at Kansas. Nick this is not the higher rated or I think the more coveted transfer that they landed. But I think long term he's gonna be kind of people are kind of sleeping on what this commit could mean for Kansas. Yeah. I don't know too much about him. I just know that his father has big muscles. Oh yeah, that was going around. That dude was sitting behind the bench and looks like, yeah, not real. Yeah, that was a completely
real photo. I don't think. I don't think very many people picked on Riley Kugle as a kid. At least I wouldn't considering what. Yeah, it seems like he's gonna be a starter and he's gonna get forty minutes a game. I don't know if either. Google is a great athlete, and I am all four guys who are great athletes. Look, you don't we all in this podcast love shooters. We love guys who can shoot forty percent from three there just aren't that many of those guys. They could get guys
who shoot forty percent from three, like Timberlake. It's not necessarily gonna mean that it's gonna translate, but if you can't, you can also get great athletes like call Marco Jackson. Yeah, see see, I was gonna say, I'll take you if you're an athlete, or I'll take you if you can shoot al Marco Jackson didn't work out, was still worth the shot. You had a really athletic guy who was a top twenty recruiter. Sometimes that one j Jay Adams is the example of an athlete that is good and there
you go. Yeah, someone like that. I will always take a guy with two years left that's shown flashes of being able to shoot the ball, something Google struggled with last year. He's had more turnovers than assists in each of his two seasons by a long shot. In an SEC offense where you know they do play some quality defenses there, but certainly not one of the fastest paced offenses in the country, at least until that Colorado lost. But yeah, it's a guy who you expect to be a twenty ish minutes a
game, guy who can give you a spark off the bench. He can provide some shot creation that maybe you didn't have on your bench like Google is. Right now, this guy is better than name the last bench player they had that was projected to be as good as Google. Is it freaking Remy Martin And he shouldn't have been a bench piece. There you go. Yeah, they haven't had a guy st I think he's better. I think I'm thinking of a guy who's out who can average like eight points off the bench.
I don't think they've had one since since Remy And that, as you said, should wasn't really a bench piece. Yeah, he was more or less a starter when quote unquote fully healthy. Look, I think the whole you need a deep bench is a little overrated. I think we're all in agreement that those days are over. You're not gonna have ten guys who could get minutes anywhere. That's just not gonna happen anymore. You don't need ten, you have to have eight. We saw what happened this year when you
lose a piece or two. Kansas was trotting out eight guys at the end of the year, and one of them, Timberlake, was a disaster. Another one of them, l Marco Jackson was also a disaster, and the third one, Parker Brown, was a backup big. You have to have eight quality players at this day and age to be able to play. Google is definitely. I mean, he's not going to post Zach Edes's numbers, but there's nothing stopping him from being one of those eight, right, That's
the way I'm looking at this, at least his first year here. Yeah, I think that's definitely. The expectation is that he can be a legitimate contributor, a guy who can knock down a shot occasionally and can make some plays. I think that's what you're helping for for sure. If he's more than that, that's awesome, but if he's less than that, that's probably a little disappointing. He was so bad shooting threes in non conplay last year,
Like I'm looking at these games. He had for seven and five, one for six, one for six again, like he had a couple of games where he did hit some shots, but man, that yeah, he had to have been like a twenty five percent non con three point shooter, which Nick Timberlake vibes there. But this is a guy who scored twenty five in there. He scored twenty five points in a loss to Baylor over the
Thanksgiving week. In that Colorado game, he scored eleven points, so he it scored twenty two against Auburn. They were top fifteen teams, So it's not like they're bringing in a guy who's this. This is not whenever they got ar Terryo Morris, who averaged four points as a freshman, and we were like, is there gonna be anything there? This is a guy who's proven he can play twenty minutes a game at the power five level, so the floor should be pretty elevated. Somebody who I also think a little bit
different floor should be elevated. But coming from a mid major league, Nick tell me about the other commit that the Jayhawks have landed won that I think people are a little bit more a buzz about. Is mayonnaise an instrument? The biggest piece of news this offseason came a jar and I'm thus far was KU's second transfer acquisition at six fourth. South Dakota State and Lawrence native. Zeke Mayo opted to return to his hometown of Lawrence and play for the Jayhawks.
He has one season left and win Semment League player of the year with nineteen points, six rebounds, four assists, and a thirty nine percent three point rate at a high volume. He is a near ninety percent career free throw shooter and has made thirty nine percent of the five hundred and ninety five threes he's taken his career landing initial thoughts about getting a sharpshooter like this, I like the player type. I need to do some more research on Mayo.
I need to watch a little bit of his of his highlights, see what he's all about. I heard the initial report was that he is a guy that is a is a great shot creator, and like Ryan was saying about Riley Coogle, that is something that Kansas has desperately needed, especially the last couple of seasons, because really, other than Jalen Wilson obviously pretty elite shot creator, they really have not had anyone else that can do that in the last two years to create any shot at any time. So that would
be awesome. Of course, I think you gotta be a little bit wary, because I at least you can think it'd be natural to be a little wary because Nick Timberlake graded out as a very similar type player guy who could shoot the ball really well, scored a lot of points, was supposed to be very good, and didn't do anything. I think the player type, from what I've heard, at least for Mayo, seems better. Seems like a guy it's gonna be a little bit more fool proof than Nick Timberlake.
And also, I just can't imagine that you're gonna have Nick Timberlake's luck in back to back seasons because that was a guy that shot the ball so well and then just absolutely did not. So I think I think Mayo has a chance to be very good. I think he could start, depending on what the last of the class ends up looking like, you know, a Leah McNeely here, some more transfers here or there where all that goes you never know, but I think Mayo very well could start for this team next year.
Well in the Summit League is not by any stretch the Big Twelve, but the the Summit League has been a lot better than whatever the hell Conference thousand is in at getting players whose South Dakota State is way better than thousands exactly the time. I mean, Max Asmis came from the Summit League and he was great at Texas Grant Nelson came from a Summit League team in North
Dakota State and played was a very good player at Alabama. Uh So, this is a conference that's that's produced guys that can play at the Power five level. And this is I mean, I think, uh, I think Mayo is a two time back to back All Sate League first team player, one Player of the Year, played well, put up numbers in the Iowa State Tournament loss. So I'm not as no I I he has played better
competition. He's also an on ball guard. He's a better athlete, he can, he's he's a better I mean, the three point numbers, it's almost onnamate. I'm reading Nick. Nick's talking about condiments in the notes. Awmendous. We'll talk about the condiments in a minute. It's ominous how similar his numbers are at Timberlake. Timberlake was a thirty eight percent three point shooter on five hundred ninety five threes entering Kansas, and Mayo is a thirty nine
percent three point shooter on five hundred ninety five threes entering Kansas. Like it's wild, yes, but those are odds. We said before I would take another Timberlake ten out of ten times. You always have to try it. I'm the same thing with Mayo and the other thing here. People are gonna have the Timberlake PTSD. Nick. Timberlake was not a good three point shooter the first two years he was in college. He was about thirty one percent
the first two years, then had two great years at thousand. Mayo has been consistently great in all three years shooting the ball. That's not even touching my favorite stat of all those numbers, Nick gred my favorite favorite favorite stat. He's a eighty eight percent career free throw shooter. That is huge as well. A guy who gets to the cup and gets fouled. We thought Timberlake would kind of be an all or nothing guy who was gonna fill it
up from behind the three point line and not much else. He proved to be a little better athlete than I think we thought he would be, but he gave you very little inside the arc. That is not what I think is gonna happen with Mayo. A guy who can score both inside and out, and typically Kansas kids played pretty well at Kansas. Guys like Chris Brown, Perry Ellis, Tyrrell Reid it seems like playing in Kansas when you're from Kansas more often than not kind of brings the best and elevates these guys a
little bit more. There's a picture floating around of Zeke Mayo with Devin Neil when they were like ten years old, with Andrew Wiggins at the Fantasy camp, Like he's a guy who understands a little bit what Kansas is all about, not saying Nick Timberlake didn't, but whenever you have a guy that's not as familiar with what he's coming into, it can be harder to adjust. I don't think Mayo's gonna have that problem adjusting. He's been to Allen Field
House, he knows what it's like to play in this town. I don't think it's going to be as hard for him to adjust. Now onto Knick's pressing question, which is is Mayo a top three condiment? Yes? Really? Yes? Really it might be number one. It's not one, but it is very good. I mean, what are we saying, like like the line between condiment and salad dressing has to be defined here, like what
how many condent is not a salad dressing? Right? But like some people think like okay, like ranch is kind of like what we say, what do we count in ranch? Right? Yeah? Which is actually a condiment though, like you you actually use it on Like, so are we gonna say that condiments are things that you can get on a subway sandwich because if that's the case, maybe, but if you're bringing in other things, no, yeah, or in a cookout, would you actively dip a french fry
in it in any circumstance? Right? Right? That's a good that's a good baselin. No, that's that's no. That and you guys's arteries are going to explode at twenty nine years old if you dip french fries and mayonnaise. Really you guys do that? No, people, but mayonnaise is a very good condiment. It goes. It belongs to every sandwich, Yeah, miracle, bad Mayo's okay, mayo, barbecue sauce, and what's another good condiments should be in the top three ketchup has to be there. It just
has to be. You can, you can, you can do all mid No, you can. Unbelievably mid Nick has been you guys have both been using the word mid a lot recently. Like what what I think Nick considers mid anything between a ten percent tile and ninety percent tile in any category. Mid is like like ketchup. It's saying ketchup is mid means fifty percent of condiments are better than ketchup. And that's not true. I think so mad though, Like Ketchup's only good when it's mixed with mustard on a hot dog?
Are you ketchup is good? Do you remember working at Culver's. How many people would like mix mayonnaise and ketchup in a cup together and swirl it around. Oh? Yeah, that so often. No, I don't think I could do that. That's that's too much. That would probably be quite good. Actually, yeah, there, there you go. I gave you some ideas. I loved your bosses at Clover's, right, oh, just as much as everyone loved their bosses that everywhere they work. Uh quickly.
The grossest thing that I do, which I think is delicious, people certainly will will hurl. Is I like taking like sour cream and onion like chip dip and mixing that with some like I like to dip chips in. That sounds interesting and then dip it in ketchup as well, and it's very very good. Oh god, no, that's that's where we're here for a good time, not a long time. If you can't. In case you haven't been able to tell, the sodium content is like, yeah, about a
million parts per million. But hey, that's okay. Sodia is good. It's better to have. It's better to have a wet sandwich than a dry one. As of right now, I did not mean to go that direction, and I was just saying that people who don't like to have condonments are psychotic. That is true. That is true. It definitely is correct. As of right now, the Jayhawks have twelve scholarship players on their roster, considering that they still have one more scholarship Pedal League to take at some point.
They can take it this year or they can postpone it, take it next year. The rule was they had to take three and three years. They use two of them in year one, so they have one more to take at some point the next two years. They could finish at twelve. They could add one more and roll with a full thirteen. They just have to have twelve next year. Nobody has opted for the NBA draft or the transfer portal yet, which surprising. The loss to Gonzaga was eighteen days ago.
At this point, there were some rumors that guys like Zach Clemens and Almarco Jackson would would head to the Portal. There were rumors that guys like Hunter Dickinson would head to the NBA Draft. Still, all those things could happen, but at this point we haven't, so I guess I'll ask you, guys, what what do you guys? Ever, what are you expecting to happen? Al Marco Jackson and Zach Clements and Jamari McDowell were considered to
be the three most likely transfer candidates. All very quiet? Are you still expecting at least one of them to transfer out? Someone's gonna leave. I'm quite confident someone's leaving. I thought that there. So Twitter was making it talk like Zach Clemens was for sure coming back a couple of days ago, and I can't find anything about it on there now, but like everyone was talking about that. Maybe it was one of those vernon rumbling are hearing things.
I think Jamary McDowell's probably going to leave, if I had to guess. There's just so many guards, Like who are the guards right now? I don't know what his place is next year? Like Harris has the point guard on lock. You're bringing into freshmen. You've brought in two guards in the transfer portal, So Jamary McDowell's your sixth guard at this point, Like, I can't imagine that he's and that's what her Like Johnny Furphy might come back. Yeah, Like Liam mcneely's still out there. Who will play a
wing? I would think there's going to be another guard too. I think they need another one, So yeah, I don't I don't know, Nick, who are you expecting. I mean, that's kind of a hard question, but you're expecting someone in that group to eventually leave, right, Yeah. I think Bill's gonna pick up a guard, a really good guard. I think that it's probably gonna be It might be Almarco. I don't know why they want Zach Clemens in the roster like that. The whole him coming
back to Kansas was a little weird to me. So Zach Clemens is exactly what the Jayhawk's roster with Hunter Dickinson needs that mold. I'm not saying Zach Clements is the right player, but Grant Nelson if for those of you who watched Alabama, Grant Nelson played a brilliant game against North Carolina came alive as a stretch four. Hit some outside shots, hit the biggest shot of the game also rebounded inside. Zack Clements is not afraid to shoot threes, and
he's a good rebounder. That is a sort of player that could be really valuable playing next to Hunter Diginson. We didn't see Zach Clemens last year because he redshirted. Haven't seen him in two years. Maybe he's taken a big step forward if he sticks around at Kansas. I think I'm I'm buying a lot of Zach Clemens stock if he comes back, because for him to still be on the roster after that and Bill to not go out and transfer or recruit over him, I think that says a lot. Am I am I
stretching things? Or I don't know that We at least admit that's the type of player that has a role on this team. Playing ten to fifteen minutes as a stretch four next to Hunter Dickinson, I'd be more curious to see him than a Parker Brown type. Again, Oh yeah, for sure, they can't do that. Like Hunter, assuming he's back, is gonna play thirty plus minutes the game anyway, Why would you. And you have Flory who can play the four and the five coming in here, and McNeely if
if you get him as sixty six, Furfee at six's eight. kJ has played the four, and Cafey might legitimately be able to play the four. I thought that. But the defense though, like good luck going against power forwards, and I mean he's mostly gonna be guarding other guard types though, yeah, because very few people use the traditional two big guys. I guess somebody we know is coming back. Is kJ Adams. A little bit of speculation on Twitter. I thought there was a decent chance that he would
either leave or have his role changed. Well, we know that he's not leaving. He announced he would return for his senior season. And here's the part in the notes about now that we're done with players getting extra COVID years, this is easier to track. This is kJ adams final season. Super happy to see him come back to Kansas. He deserves to have a senior night speech. He's he's as beloved of a player as they've seen. But I think his role needs to change. You cannot start him at the four
if you get Hunter Dickinson back. In my opinion, and doing so would be a mistake. I would love to see him get twenty ish minutes a game. I don't know if he'd want that role off the bench as a spark plug. He can relieve Hunter at times and play the five for a few He can play alongside Flory if you want to put him in there at
the five. You have some lineup versatility with kJ. I just don't want to see them run back the four and five of Adams and Dickinson playing thirty two minutes a game because it can't rebound enough and it can't space things enough. Yeah, agreed, I'm really glad to see him come back as well. I do like Keg Adams a lot. Seems like a fun guy. Really really glad to see him back in the program. But yeah, I agree that that role did not really work. So he's either gonna have to
be able to shoot the ball from distance, like at all. Like even if he could be no, literally a thirty percent three point shooter, that would be pretty huge because that would mean thirty better than he's shot in his career because he is oh freight in his career shooting threes. Yes, which again that's a that's a pretty big jump. So my guess is he's much more likely to play a little bit of the four and more more of a
five. A small five in some speedy lineups, is my guess. But I would still Yeah, I would love to see him play like twenty minutes if Hunter does indeed come back, which I think he does. Nick, what do you think about kJ? You think that Bill's saying, come on back, we're running it back. You and Hunter are my rid or die guys? Or you think you're gonna see a little different role here? Uh?
I don't. I don't expect to see much much different with Bill and I think they I look, I don't think it's gonna work great, But if you could at least put a couple of legitimate shooters out there, I think that that would help a lot. The biggest problem with this team far and away was their three point shooting, Like they couldn't shoot. The guards couldn't get their own shot, especially once mccoler went down. Hunter had enough
problems with kj's lack of rebounding and inability to shoot outside the paint. It didn't help. How then you threw in guys who couldn't shoot either. I also kind of fear Kansas's ability to stop a pick and roll, especially if you're adding Jack Clements to this rotation. Yeah, we saw that not work against Gonzaga and the Adams Dickinson defense isn't gonna stop that, so they're rebounding. I mean, gee, there's no reason kJ can't be a six or
seven rebounds a game guy either, Like he has all the tools. Oh yeah, very strong, giry, athletic, Like he is absolutely the guy that should grab more boards than he does. Uh. Speaking of Hunter Dickinson, he was named a second team All American for the second straight year. Too bad. Ku Twitter is disappointed that he might come back because he sucks so hard you should be getting fifty rebounds a game. He had pretty exact
heating numbers. What is he doing? Remember whenever he had like a twenty rebound fifteen point five block game and people were on Twitter angry about his hustle or something like that, like it's it's unbelievable. And then Mitch Lightfoot can go out there and fart out two points and three boards in twelve minutes and they're like, oh my gosh, Kansas would be soft without Mitch Lightfoot. Uh. And and normally I would wonder, I would say something like I
don't know why that is, but I can't with Hunter. All Right, I'm gonna make a call right now. And I've been I've been horrible at calls in my life, but I'm gonna make one. You guys ready for this? Yeah? Oh yeah, get your get your yeah? You know? Okay? Fine, any any other ones you want to get out here? I'll even put some music on for you. Anything else. Kentucky's gonna win the ship on the day they lost, and this is the year for Purdue and all that. You know, Okay, I get you, Okay,
here's my call. You liked Kansas's path last year. I've liked Kansas's path every year except for the year that that they won it all. I thought the Creighton wine up was a death march, and it almost was. Thanks for me, Here's that's my call. Hundred Dickinson wins the Nasmith next year. Come. I'm ron he's gonna have a good chance. I mean he's probably gonna average like twenty and twelve. Yep. Hunter Dickinson, who he said, he said his two options are He's going to declare for the
NBA draft, or he's gonna come back to Kansas. Doesn't sound like he's too interested in playing international ball. Those are the things he said. He's decided to do both. He's gonna do yes, decide. I think that makes sense if you're Hunter Dickinson. There's no reason that you shouldn't. And I think he very likely ends up coming back to Kansas. The money's on the table. Hunter Dickinson is going to average darn near twenty points in twelve
rebounds a game next year. And people are like, Ooh, his game hasn't developed. Okay, what, Yeah, he's been averaging eighteen and ten since his sophomore year. Like what, finds something else to complain about? Then the center who averaged twenty and ten and one second team All America. He's not a perfect player. You're gonna sacrifice some defense to get a player with that to be fair, But yes, yeah, like you you can go, who's the last player that averaged twenty and ten that was also elite
defensively? That doesn't happen unless you want Zion Williamson, who wasn't even that great on defense. Anthony Davis was the best defensive center I've ever seen in college basketball, he averaged like ten points at Kentucky. You can't have twenty and ten with Anthony Davis defense in the college game. It doesn't happen. True. He is still an atrocious defender, though, Yeah, he got diced in the tournament. Nick, what's going on with Leam McNeely, I
don't know. I think that probably Cay's probably pretty cold on him. I think Bill's probably seen, you know, kind of that freshman instead of going for a one and done freshman, just go for experienced transfer. So I wonder if Kayu's kind of gotten cold on him because he, like he seemed like after the Indiana's switch, seemed like Kansas was pretty pretty sure fire lock.
So I don't think it would be and that's been a while. I don't think it would be a transition from him to not be interested in Kansas because he hasn't committed anywhere else yet. Well, and something that happened, something that happened not too long after the de commit from Indiana was he visited Kentucky and now they who knows how that's gonna go into play, Like I got it, probably not going there even if uh Kansas still is interested,
which they very well. Maybe no one's left the program yet, so yeah, then there's the scholarship thing. They might not want to take the extra scholarship this year. They might they might be willing to sit on it or whatever. So that's also a whole situation. He may be willing to come to Kansas as soon as there's a spot for him. They're just not quite sure if there is one yet. And I wonder if he's waiting on Furfey,
Like I wonder if that's part of it. Like, as much as it'd be great to have a lineup with both those guys out there, I think it's hard to see a scenario where a top ten recruit commits here if Furfey comes back, because that would pretty much lock up the starters, right, Harris, Mayo, Furfey, Adams, and Dickinson are probably who self's gonna start out there, even though we have some I would love to see Furfey maybe get some run play in the four and you could have McNeely,
Furfy, and Mayo out there at once. I don't know, but you gotta think like there's probably not a scenario where McNeely comes here and Furfey does too. At least, I don't think so. As great as that be, that's I think that's a pretty solid take. I think that's very possible. They do like play a similar position. Keep going, Land and you're doing a great job, Nick, and I have some business to take care of here. Okay, Well, I have so much to say about this
recruit that I don't know that much about. Let's see, Uh, did Kansas get to the Las Vegas Nil Tournament for Thanksgiving Week? Yeah, so they're they're gonna type something that's very rude but very accurate. I speak from experience on that one. Uh, the Mexico City game. Two pieces of scheduling tidbits here. So, Brett, your Mark's amazing idea that nobody wanted, which was Houston and Kansas to play a basketball game in Mexico. Is
there a basketball market in Mexico? Do they do care that much about this sport they like? Yeah? I mean they go to the Basketball World Cup. Do they want to watch Kansas and Houston play a non conference scene? That was a much different question. I'm not sure I want to watch. Mexico does like basketball. They're gonna they're gonna see the rafts gonna be like
this sport. So yeah, yeah, Doug Sermons is gonna go charging across the court to tee up three players before the game starts, and they're gonna be sitting in the stands going, what's this crap? I'm used to watching the the short shot clock in the in the World Cup. Yeah, this is I don't want to watch Houston and beat Kansas fifty five to ten.
Yeah you correct. Yeah. Then the last Vegas, so they always get a Thanksgiving week tournament hasn't been official announced, but there is a lot of reports that they're going to play a tournament in Vegas where the winning team gets an nil million dollar check to be split evenly out between the players. Yeah,
that's that's gonna make it interesting. Then in the future if you have players who but see, Okay, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna try to get too deep into the Kevin mccullor bag here, but like there are some people that are kind of that that I've mentioned. You're gonna pay players within
il money and have nothing. They're not contractually obligated to play. There's nothing that says if you're cleared by the doctors, you have to play whatever, Like remember there are people saying it on the collar, like, so it makes it a little interesting if you're gonna give them a huge load of cash and then they are under no obligation actually listen. I don't know. I think it's interesting. I think nil is. It's it's definitely not going away.
So cool idea for a tournament. We'll see if it happens, and we'll see if Kansas is there. Artario Morris's rape charge was dismissed due to insufficient evidence, and there have been I'm not even touching that on Twitter because I don't want to deal with that. Yeah, and I'm not really gonna
touch that here very much because I know nothing about legal law. All I will say is insufficient evidence does not automatically mean innocence, and there is a chance he could be an innocent man, and that this whole story was made up. That doesn't change one thing about my opinion that he never should have been recruited and never should have been offered a spot at Kansas. I don't need a player. But I think it was Jeff Goodman that said two thousand
college basketball players have entered the transfer portal. Surely you can have a very nice share of options that did not have any sort of assault charge or assault allegation or any of it. And Kansas went, but what if we picked one that did. Don't care what wound up happening. Stay away from it. You see some people who have charges. Dribble the ball a little bit better. Yeah, and well and Artaria Morris, I mean he matured.
And Chris Beard's program, he should have known the first thing about being a first class citizen. Forgot about that. And the final piece of Kansas news here tell me about Alan field House is getting wi FI. I actually had people tell me on Twitter that this is bad because they don't want people to sit on their phones during the game. Those those middling kids getting on their phones during sporting of that jokes on this should be like people already do that.
They should be like the old days where all we did was walk into the arena, watch the game, grab popcorn, sit in our seat. There was back then in the day, there was lots of room between the seats because you know, people weren't as you know that, you know, OBC epidemic didn't exist back then. And then you go, you get, you leave the arena after the game, you go back to your brick cinderblock
brick dorm room. Uh. And you go to that little that little white box on the on the wall that has a long cord and you'd pull it and pick it up and you put a quarter I don't know, and you walk down the hill and go grab a gallon of milk. And that's your parents' stories about how you had to walk them out to get a gallon of milk. Gas was two cents a look at girls with lust in your arm.
Gas was two cents a gallon. You could buy a house for twenty thousand dollars, not far, but fast forward all those years and now you hear, well, I made it work. I don't know how them young kids can't make it work. I've got two pennies and now I can buy a house for six hundred thousand dollars. Watch Connery play James Bond ten times and that was really good old days. Oh those movies, and didn't have
any I saw the Chamberlain one hundred point game. And there are people who say, like whenever I was in college twenty years ago, say it in succession. They pound the table, they believe it with their chest and they don't want Wi Fi allnfield House and that's fine, Too bad they're getting it as I don't believe that's an actual take. Are they gonna say the same
thing about air conditioning. Yeah, as those piece kids that could tough it out like we did back in the back in the nineteen ninety we wore suit jacket, we wore a tie, we were pants and undoubtedly we have air conditioning. As they are very good at saying, if you don't like it, leave right like you don't have to, which is kind of awesome that they did wear suit jackets and ties and like a hat and pants and loafers to a basketball game, Like that's kind of cool that flying Flying used to
be an enjoyable experience. It used to be dress up, you get a nice meal, and now you get on a plane and you have to wonder if the person next to you is going to be sitting in your lap, where the person behind you is going to be scre screaming child the entire flight, or if Spirit Airlines is gonna even get you your destination. And I don't want if your bag doesn't cost fifty dollars to get on the plane. Well, you know, it's sitting next to Jerome Tang as he takes his
shoes off. That is the most iconic photo of ever. Yeah, a change purse because Spirit's not gonna not gonna go for that. No, but you will get a little bag of peanuts and a two hundred dollars flight that that maybe gets you there, depending on if one of the wings falls off. Allen Field House renovations. Oh are we still going with Spirit? I'm I like, no, on Spirit. That's fine. There's never been a more applicable this drop ever. It's the Spirit drop. You get what you
pay Spirit Airlines. You get what you pay for. Yeah, that should be. It's not a lot. That should be speaking of getting paid, getting what you paid for. On Field House renovations are underway. The capacity is lowering. I didn't see this. This is a thing. Yeah, it's not gonna be sixty three sixte it's a little less. They're taking that. You know, the chair back section they fit forty. None of us ever got COVID but fire Marshall, what was that? Yeah, I was
at a guy out of the building. I was at a game where the fire alarm went off, like with three minutes left and everyone just kind of was like, okay, like if there is a fire in that place, you're boned as it is. I didn't, Yeah, you're in trouble. Never happens. Yeah, you know the little chairback section there are people come in at seven twelve and leave at eight forty whenever the game goes from seven that section. Yeah, they're expanding it by like one hundred or two hundred
seats on both sides. It's not a big reduction, but it is getting wider. Well, those are the only people that can afford season tickets at this point, so that makes sense. Got accommodate. Yeah, those old people can't sit on the hard wood bench. Hey, no one should have to do that. I'm in like the five percentile and weight and that I don't fit perfectly on those bleachers. Like it's not if you got a guy who's who's got an above average sized caboo sitting in seat six. Everyone in
seats one through five or our way. That is true seat ones in the aisle. But it's like if every c downfo else had a seat back, would probably be arena like ten thousand seats. Oh yeah, Instead you're sitting in someone's last Yeah, I went to Fenway a few years ago and there's a lot of it hasn't been changed at all since nineteen oh eight, and there is yet like that the chairback seats that were four people in the early
nineteen hundreds are it's impossible. I have no idea. And people were also really short back then too, so like they didn't have to worry about making the concourse super tall. Like the back few rows of that section you can't see because the concourse is hanging too low. It's it's it's changed so much. Allen Field House is getting a little bit less capacity because they're adding seatbacks
h in the one section. They're getting all new video boards, including some of the upper corners that you should just be the one at over the over the court, there's gonna be some of the corners now they're doing that one too. I think they're getting a new video blas they are and like k Stay a few years ago, changed it where it goes all the way around, like the bottom is a circle and you still have the four screens in
a square. I don't know what they're gonna do, but it's huge and new sound systems too, which means we can hear the incredibly loud one hundred and twenty six decibel rap music at tipoff, because it's not like it's not like the home is already loud enough. Yeah, at a tip off. Well, speaking of back in mind, hey, we would blast that at
three hundred decibels and now everyone just sits on their phones. Also major major stadium concourse upgrades, which means I believe that means is more play to buy thirteen dollars hot dogs instead of direct probably a bigger donors Yeah, the donors loungees. It's essentially what the Chiefs try to do to Arrowhead in that capacity. The Chiefs. That had to be an April fool's joke. The Chiefs
posted renovations were literally the same. They took a current CAD file of the stadium, put it in a new rendering and added Fueld goal club and called it. Hey, oh, they had a bridge. They had a bridge go across the parking lot from the old Royal Stadium where people could have an experience on turf or something like that. Hey, don't forget about the VP
Road million dollars nine hundred million dollar project. They built Allen Field House for two million dollars in nineteen sixty inflation adjusted twenty three million dollars in twenty twenty four. They can't. They cannot make serious upgrades to Arrowhead Stadium under nine hundred million dollars. Oh wait, that nine hundred million dollars is going to make the Hunt Families Lounge. Instead of a six sixth floor apartment suite,
They're gonna actually go about ten floors. It's gonna be a Hilton hotel. Yeah, and the boy, can you imagine how much you're gonna charge there to stay there? Yeah, Clark Hunt's six bedrooms allow people to stay there. No, no, no, no cabeturia upgrades, No training room upgrades. Only Clark Hunt family upgrades so his wife and his daughter can get more purses. Did you guys see how Clark Hunts reasoning why they didn't get the
locker room was because they won too much. Like the players were like, they told us, we get a locker room back in my day if you won too much, that was that was a good luck charm. But the chiefs told them, well, you played too late in the year, so we're not. We didn't have the time to do it back in my day. If you want too much, took the racial abuse that was given to
you. Oh. I don't know if you know this, but the NCAA tournament is over and the winner again of Connecticut, well they kind of they will in November, if that's what, If that's what you're going for, they Connecticut Huskies win. They're freaking sixth national championship in the last twenty five years? Is it twenty five It's maybe a little longer than that, sixty ninety nine, Okay, whatever it is. Yeah, it's nuts. Whatever.
It is back to back, first team to do that since Florida and six oh seven, and even more impressively, once again, just like they did last year, they won every tournament game by at least thirteen points. That's unbelievable. Twelfth they tournament wins by at least thirteen is bananas. Yeah, you can't, you can't stop it. It's it's impressive. Uh. People on Twitter were saying that this is the best college team ever. No, it's not. It's not even the best college team in the last three
years. That twenty one Baylor team is so slept on. But they are really, really good, and I think that more importantly for the sport isn't that Yukon is a blue blood. They are. But the most important thing that comes out of this is we haven't had a villain in college basketball since Coach K died after UNC beat him in the last in the Final four a
couple of years ago. That shot Danny Hurley, he dropped into let's get under the floor and they rode him off on that on that golf cart, and his wife was like, God, dang it, he's gonna be home so much more now. That was the look of death in her face. And yeah, coach K is dead. Last I heard, Uh, Danny Hurley is the new villain in college basketball, because Wow, Nick really hates
Danny Hurley. He's just he's so he's so pretentious. He's just weak, kind of weird too, Like he thlows his arms around his brother is he does? He does, but look who his brother is. His brother is crazy. His brother looks like the villain and the Trolls movie. And then he also he also plays a little like, oh, the media never covers us. They if you're Kansas, if you're the Jayhawks, if we were Kentucky, if we were Duke, we would get all the coverage, like
bro, that does happen like that? He can do some flat putin cause play. Yeah, yeah, they're they're a weird family. But but wow, overall, really really good, overall, extremely successful run for Connecticut. Uh. They are back to back champions. Perdue finished his second. They got blown out in the title game despite Zach Edy scoring sixty five percent of
the points yet thirty seven of produced sixty. The boiler Makers they lost to a sixteen the year before, a fifteen the year before that, a thirteen the year before that. And somehow I think this might be the most managin Yeah, they have had it so bad, like those poor guys Zach Edy shot. Anybody did anybody see the final number of free throws that Zach Edy shot this year? It was several hundred. Yeah, it was the most
in all very long time. Zach Edy shot four hundred and thirty six free throws, which is more, I believe than he shot in the previous two seasons combined. And he scored nine hundred and eighty three points. Is he gonna get drafted, Yeah, probably a lottery pick. He will not translate to the NBA very well. Twenty five and twelve is pretty darn good. I guess there's your guy earlier whenever I said you can't have a guy do that's also really good at de Well Helps if they're seven to four Alabama and
North Carolina State where your final four teams. Nate Oates makes his first Final four. I think Bama's first, and then NC State was the darling Cinderella squad. It feels like we always get an eleven seed whenever they get to a final four, then they flame out very quickly. They did DJ Burns not before he ended the run of John Shire. Those pretty good. What were your other takeaways from the second weekend and beyond Alabama, Nate Oates has
become one of the top up and coming coaches. Would love for him to eventually replace Bill self. I don't think he's going to be in Alabama long enough to do that. I think that's the guy who Kentucky shitl throw a blank check at and not leave his house until he says yes. Tennessee almost made the Final four. Somehow they've never made one. They lost to Purdue.
Rick Barnes, the jokes can continue. I'm looking at the other game seeing if anything is Arizona lost in the way we kind of thought they would. Yeah, so did Iowa State. That happened. Yukon went on a thirty zero run against Illinois in the Elite eight. That's what I knew Illinois Yukon was simply just owing to win the national title. Was when they went on a thirty over run against Illinois. Illinois not bad, Illinois good,
and Yukon just punk them. Shaka Smart lost to an eleven seed. He's three to eight in his last eleven NCAA tournament games and the highest seeded team that has beaten him is a seven seed. If every one of his losses is seven or worse, that's pretty bad. So in the bracket pool, the RCB bracket pool, because Connecticut, the one overall won the tournament,
we had a lot of different people score well. Predictably, Kevin with two sad faces is the winner of the pool ninety nine point nine percent title correctly, got Yukon over Purdue in the finals, got Alabama losing in the Final four, and had Duke as the other final four team. Was this close
to a perfect final four. Major kudos. One of the most brackets I've ever seen, top thirteen thousand nationally out of over fifteen million brackets, making rock Chalk Flog proud, Aspen seventy cooy may In three point luck and lyle O four two four finished in the top five. We had plenty of people who picked the Connecticut to win it all the hood, Harry Potter makes me
happy, Landon, including you. You finished twentieth, proving that you can win any You can win anything in this between the three of us except for a freaking pick am year. True, yay, I picked you come and no one else did last year. So you did, yeah, and you won the bracket pool all in a row Landon Fields. That's fair. And Nick's tattooed goddess, which I would say claimed to that if that's free around and we also have tattooed girl in there as well. Look at this.
I love how that's that's become a thing. So Nick finished higher than anybody in this pool that did not pick Connecticut or or Purdue to win it all. So you have that Nick Arizona pick flamed out. Yeah, thirty seventh was you and I finished forty fourth. We all finished top fifty in the pool, which I feel like isn't absolutely terrible. Creighton's Yeah, we all first and pick them than anyone not named Nick or Ryan Landon's girlfriend finished forty
seven, died a painful death with the Creighton loss. Evan Phillips, a friend of the podcast, fifty four ref at the monitor, and Wayne kerr Tye at sixty. Scott Drew is a boob at sixty as well. Scrolling through the rest of the bill, self has his head up his ass at seventy four. Hoop, there it is at seventy five. All of you guys remember those awesome commercials back in the day ice cream commercials. Oh yeah, scoop, there it is. There you go, yeah, Brick Timberlake
at eighty two. The refs tied with them at eighty one of my favorite, one of my favorite bracket names there. And then the more we scroll down, if this wins, Nick comes back finished ninety third, So Nick, you do not have to come back, at least according to that let's see here. And then very last was Max's bracket, though I don't think it should count because oh wait, Max did submit. I was gonna say
he didn't get it in Nope, he definitely did. And and honestly, it's so usually the person who finishes last doesn't have like just an apocalyptic like. It's not like he picked all sixteen seeds. He had a final four of Baylor, Auburn, Kansas, and Nebraska and only got one hundred and ninety points total. Pretty wild. Better luck next year, Max. You gotta beat the top twenty five million next year. That is tough. Any other take any other takeaways from the tournament? Uh No, not really.
It was. It was a decent tournament. It was. It was kind of fun. I did not get to watch a ton of it. Uh, but yeah, I've got the tournament kind of stunk. All the final four in the title games weren't that good really. None of the Elite eight games were either perdue. Tennessee was okay. The rest of them were pretty uneventful. Yeah, you know what, You know what, Ryan, that is FAIRMA over UNC was a good game. The Florida Colorado game was last
good. Yeah. And then Houston almost losing the A and M was entertaining on them. That might be the best game. Also, John Shire sucks. He's terrible. I'm so annoyed that I'm gonna have to hear. Hey, he made an Elite eight oh back and beat that at fifteen hundred. Oh well, but you know, but you know what, John Shire beat a twelve and a thirteen, and then he got a one seed where Jamal
shed got hurt. And then he got blown out by an eleven seed, a team that he knows, uh cause he played him a bunch of times. John Shires. The what if John Shire took a big twelve job? Is he a top half of the league coach? Probably not, especially with the new guys coming in? All right, all right, other games speaking are other news. The call at the end of the Connecticut Iowa women, I have one question, and it's going to determine how much decency you have.
Good call or not? No met call. I don't It was the one of the three worst calls I've ever seen in sports. I don't care see that was. It was a bad call. I was a little surprised by, like the blind rage that it says, no horrible call. I do not care if you slow down the video and say, well, technically,
according to genes Terrator's rules, it was a foul. Nobody calls that you could call that on every possession, Like don't like the general rule of thumb is, don't call stuff that you don't normally call on unimportant possessions with twelve seconds left in a one point final four game, when Trey Burke made his forty foot shot, I had to watch Elijah Johnson get trucked by Mitch McGarry because they don't call moving screens with four seconds left in one possession tournament
games. Yeah, I mean, I think it was a really bad call. I was a little just surprised that it became like a cultural touchstone in forty five seconds. But it was a bad call, really bad call. Maybe this is why, like I maybe I like sports and entertainment. The line clashes because even if it is a call, I don't want to see it called. I want to see Yukon attempt a game winning shot like at
that point, swallow the whistle. Like anybody who says that's a good call, you're you're you're defending a less fun outcome, and I want the more fun outcome more than I want the refs to get it right. One hundred percent of the time. I agree with that wholeheartedly. What else has happened? Transfer news Kansas State landed Michigan transferred Doug McDaniel a five to eleven point guard who's averaged sixteen points per game last year. Everyone leaving Michigan after Juwan
Howard left. I don't know why I would think that'd make them want to stay. He'll fit into the Marquis Noel, Tyler, Perry Spot, Jerome Tang three for three now finding an undersized electric score to play the point and if those two are Indian indication, he'll probably be quite good. Other beetle transfer news, Oklahoma's Javon McCullum got away from Poter Moser to play at Georgia Tech. Not exactly an upgrade, but anything away from Porter probably is k
State Stam Carter going to LSU. That's a weird move as well. Iowa State landed a really nice piece in center. Deshaun Jackson from Charlotte Omaha Billy You, Damian Dunn, Marcus Adams Junior, Micah Peevey, Jacobe Coles, Pop Isaac's Brandon Garrison. Some other names that are noteworthy in the Big Twelve that have hit the portal so far. Couple new coaches as well, Nick
Yeah, two Big Twelve teams do have new coaches. West Virginia hired Drake coach Darien Devrye after he led them into the tournament three times in four years. Along with him comes his son, studguard Tucker DeVries, who averaged twenty two points and seven renowns last year with the Bulldogs. Joe Yespoo will not be coming with him. This player will play his final season at West Virginia with his dad. Also, Oklahoma State hired Western Kentucky coach Steve Lutz,
who led the Hilltoppers Great Mascot to the three straight NCAA tournaments. So Kerkkrisa did transfer out of West Virginia. But in the event that you haven't googled or know what the Tucker de Ry experience is all about, just a bylaw of the Big Twelve that West Virginia's got to have someone like that, right, Only this one's really, really, really good. Two great hires there. The Big Twelve gets it right so often with coaching we've seen now that's
part of the reason I think this conference is so good. The coaches are so good. Steve Watts is a great hire, just continuously flips his roster over. No if you are leading Western Kentucky and Drake to consistent NCAA tournament. Berts now that the roster with the portal has become so much harder to maintain. Losing your stud players two Power five teams, and you're still flipping that around. You're proving that you can recruit the lowest level to go up
to that mid major level. You can recruit out of high school, and you can win the big games to get into the NCAA tournament. Great hires. They may not work out, These guys may not become John Wooden, But who the heck else would you rather take a shot on? You you're telling me that you can have a guy like that, or you can go get Mike Boyton And oh, well, he coached at a Power five schools, so let's let's give him a shot. Who would make you more excited?
It's not even close. Yeah, I agree, I agree, it's good. Oh and then and then there's this. The biggest news in sports right now is Kall suck penis what's wrong with that? And he will now have to do that that task in the state of Arkansas because John CALIPERI, yes that John Caliperry left Kentucky for sec rival Arkansas earlier this week. Kaboom goes all of the coaching carousel, Domino's and who knows how this is gonna
play out. Initial thoughts Nick John Caliperi, one of the biggest villains in the sport is going to coach the Razorbacks. Yeah, he must have really hated the ad at Kentucky because he left the most covet a job in college basketball. Granted, Kentucky fans are way more like you think Kansas fans are delusional. I think hot Kentucky fans. Remember when Kentucky fans literally got John higgins roofing business in trouble because they non stop left reviews and like destroyed his
business. Kentucky fans have nothing else to do. Uh then sit out in the hills and drink moonshine. Uh then to complain about Kentucky basketball not being in the good old days anymore when they have eight off. They had eight off up five thousand people in that arena. Yeah, the place sucks. Cal Ahead. He met with He met with the team though there is no team there. So yeah, that's what he said. Because there's three players
left and they're all in the portal because Muscleman's not there anymore. I predict he's very quickly going to start getting his guys landed. I'll give you the floor in a minute. But here's my Cali Perry take What an amazing hire for Arkansas. None of us think that Cali Perry is the best ex as and host coach in the game. He's not. But one thing you cannot deny is he gets great players to his program. This is a guy with four final fours, a national championship. He's made the final four at three
different programs. One of just two or three men I forget which one it is because vacations have come in here that can say that this is a guy who's won seventy seven percent of his games a Kentucky and they couldn't wait to get rid of him. Like I believe a change of scenery was probably in order, and I think Cal ultimately wanted out. I think Cal there's rumblings that he wanted the Ohio State job just to leave the Kentucky pressure. It's
immense. We get it. He's had a lot of success there and it's hard to stay at the same place. He's been there fifteen years. Probably time to move on and for both team, for both parties to get a fresh start, But this is one of those times where you're sure you're gonna get somebody who can win seventy seven percent of their games there and go to four final fours. A win a ship like grass is always greener. But I think Cali Perry going to Arkansas. First off, you're gonna get a
recharge. John Caliperry a guy who is committed to making Kentucky's life hell in that conference. He's gonna keep recruiting. He's got a lot of the offerings that he had at Kentucky with the boosters and all that. I think Kentucky's in a final. I think Arkansas is gonna be in one of the next three final fours, and I think they are gonna consistently be one of the best ten teams in the country throughout his tenure. Home run for Arkansas.
How exciting. Even if he's not a great coach, you know the talent he's gonna bring in and you go from being rejected by Jerome Tang to getting John Kella Perry in a week. What a high Arkansas fans must is he gonna go shirtless. What's crazy is they got cal and they got significantly more subdued at coach. Yeah, that is wild more coaching news. I guess, fine, tell me about this. Okay, there you go. Uh. I think I think it's a it's a very interesting hire. He definitely
seems to have just wanted out of Kentucky. I mean that is every report that seems to certainly be the case. I get that Kentucky gets bailed all the way out with that. Yeah, thirty five million dollars worth of that, So good for them. That is interesting. He is gonna I think he's gonna be able to recruit, maybe not quite at a Kentucky level because it is Arkansas, but I do think he's gonna be able to bring in very very talented players, probably many of them. I don't know. I
don't think recruiting class are gonna change at all. I think he's gonna get the same guys he would get a Kentucky like you don't. I don't know he's gonna get really good players. I don't know if he's gonna be have quite the depth. It's Arkansas. When people sleep on the Arkansas job, like, there were people that were like his Kansas date actually better than the Arkansas Oh my gosh, Arkansas is one of the best fifteen jobs in the
country. They are, but Damon gets the exact same players if he goes to Arkansas in comparison to Alabama. Yeah, I do. I think I think it's I think it's the coach. You think eighteen year olds are there for the tradition or they're there for the coach and I l and the coach that does nothing. They're there for the coach and they're get drafted. But I mean, you know, okay, if they're there to get drafted. If they're there to get drafted, who what other coach woul you want to
play for? Yeah? I mean to be fair, Yeah, cal Perry puts a ton of dudes in the NBA. Was one of the best fifteen jobs in the country. Dude, they are. That's a great job. They got lots of money there. I think cal Perry is completely washed uh in the exes and nose. I do think there's a chance this rejuvenates him to be fair, he may focus up. That may legitimately happen. I think he is a complete washboard uh In. So you think it's less miles
at Kansas, I think there's a chance it's less Miles at Kansas. He's better now than Miles was then, but I did. Yeah, there's that, And to to our knowledge, he has not done anything with college girls. He's not a creep, well at least that was. But I I'm not sold on it because he just doesn't actually drop plays, and that is important. Who's gonna be their coach? Like they got told, no, they got, they got. They tried to give Nate Oates and Danny Hurley
the Rose and they both got rejected. Now I think it's easy to say that now it sounds like they're trying to get Hurley to consider it. Scott Drew's been the rumor, and I'm not I'm not sure Scott Drew is the He's been a great coach. What he's been able to do at Baylor. See that feels like the reverse of Cali Perry. I think Cala Perry gets better because he goes to a lower pressure job, whereas Scott Drew has. I don't know why Scott Drew would leave. He's built Baylor like that's that
he has everything. You're gonna go to the highest pressure job. You see the way he reacts. Can you imagine Scott Drew's persona dealing with those crazy ass fans there. That feels like a recipe for disaster. They fired Cal because he couldn't make the second weekend consistently. Don't look now, but Scott Drew has fewer second weekend trips than Cal the last ten years. Yeah, that's Baylor still. Yeah, And Scott Drew's a great coach. He's a
top ten coach. If they don't win that twenty twenty one title, which you know, if if we we said the smout bill self, I know we did. You can't take it away if you. If you, but if you take away that twenty one title, are we talking about Scott Drew being one of the ten best coaches in the sport? If Gonzaga beats him that night, I don't think we are. I don't know. I think we still might be, I I really do. Who are they gonna hire? I think it'll wind up being Drew. But I think Drew's definitely the
leader in the clubhouse. Nates did actually say no. Yeah, Nate Oates put out a thing on Twitter. It said absolutely not, And that's all. Taking a coach at his word is, as of course, accurate. All the time. Oh, it's just signed a big fat contract too. I would imagine Hurley's gonna do it too, probably, And then but if they don't get any of those guys, then I don't know, Like, then it's goot Perkudos to them for not being like, let's just hire our
next top assistant, who's their version of John Shire. Yeah, they were smart enough not to do that, big money job, big pressure job, huge money job. This isn't that, you know. This isn't a video game where you just move a guy who's great at one place and you move them to the next level. Look at how players struggle to adjust sometimes, Nick Kimberlake being an example. I don't know if you pick up Scott Drew and you put him in Kentucky that that works. I think the next co
checking. I think part of the reason cal didn't worked at the end of Kentucky. He did early. I think part of the reason it didn't work at the end is because he's kind of a kook, and I don't think you can have some I think you need a bill self, no nonsense guy who doesn't get rattled by the media. He's kind of the same person all the way around. Shazyzhevsky was like that, or for the ball of his
career, Roy was like that. I think that's the sort of persona you need the guy that I think they and I think Nate Oates would be kind of goofy there too. Danny Hurley is is all over the place weird. I think they need a guy with the Hoiberg type mentality more than they need a guy who is kind of a flake. And I think Scott Drew's kind of a weasel. I don't know, m I don't know. I think I like him too. I think I think he's a great coach. I
just don't know if that mentality is gonna work. Get on the microphone, be students to come out. I don't know. I think he takes them back to being perennial Final four contenders. See. I think that they regress under Drew. My prediction is that their next coach is they they wind up being worse under their next coach than they did under cow. I don't think that's possible. I think I think cal Perry has taken them to nothingness.
Talented VI sure, if you're looking at the last fight, we can't just get rid of the first half of Cow's tenure there though, Like if you're playing like what the guy he has become like that is you you? Your trajectory is becoming this under from what he's done, he's a national champion and that's a very difficult thing to do. He was a good coach. I do not think he's a good coach anymore. Over under four final fours in a ship for the next coach. I I don't necessarily think that's what you're
measuring, but yes, I think Drew wins. I think Drew wins a championship or two at Kentucky. If he goes next twelve years, that's what yeah. See. I think that's impossible to predict next fourteen years because that's what Cal was there for fourteen years. Over under four final fours in a ship taken over on the under on them the final fours, I think, I think he wins a national championship. I don't know about the final fours, that's hard, but I think he wins a championship. I think the
grass is always greener. And as funny as it is to laugh at Cal, the man won games. They had a couple of fluky things that happened down the stretch. I agree it was time for a change of scenery. I don't think it's that easy as just out with the old in with the next best thing in college basketball. I think Nat Oates and Dan Hurley are your guys, and if you can't get one of those guys, I would have stuck with Cala Perry. But I think Cal wanted to leave anyway.
So, yeah, you have a higher opinion on Cal than I do. Currently. His record as his coach in his career is, of course very good. I just don't think he has anything left. That may be true he's sixty fire. Yeah, oh I do too. Like I get it he was probably leaving regardless. I just don't know if I don't think it's as easy as we're Kentucky will get whoever we want. That used to be how it worked, not as much anymore. Dusty may is the new coach
at Michigan. He may have been considered for the Kentucky job had this happened earlier. Mike Boyton is actually going to be one of his assistants up there. Random tidbit, Florida Atlantic hired long time Baylor assistant John Jacis to replace May Baylor assistants are in a hot there, hot commodity better than Duke assistants
and North Carolina assistants. Louisville had had to go all the way down to Charleston coach Pat Kelsey, who Wane Kerr has been in my mentions telling me, remember that name, he's going to be a stud I'm remembering that, mister Kerr. I will I will take your word for it. Feels like if they're having to go to Charleston to get a coach, then Louisville has fallen a bit. And Eric Musselman going to USC is what set this whole thing off. Actually SMU firing their coach, as Nick said, is what
set this whole thing off. But the little four foot eight must old men is going to coach the Trojans. That'll be fun, and by fun, it won't Andy Enfield and his hot wife aren't there anymore. Instead, you get shirtless Eric Musselman, less fun for sure. Cale Smith at least is a reason to be shirtless. This he's in La now, that's true. It's warm there. Cale Smith is gonna be the new coach at Stanford who plays Jared hass That seems like a really irrelevant thing to put in here.
And Enfield and his hot wife are going to SMU. They're going to be in Dallas. That'll be nice for them. James Madison, their coach, going to Vanderbilt. I'm gonna predict right now Vanderbilt never wins thirty games, which I think that's pretty safe if you ask me. All right, yeah, that feels impossible. And then Kwonzo Martin is getting hired at Missouri State,
where I do not think they'll be very good. Kwanza Martin's has done, has done a very hard thing to do in college basketball, get four successive head coaching jobs, each of which is a step back from the previous one. He's gone from Tennessee to California to Missouri to Missouri State. Like that's that's hard to go all the way back. Now, he did coach at Missouri State. Remember that's what got in the Tennessee job. He was that's what got him started in two thousand and eight. I think it was,
uh, he's back, Yeah, it's yeah, he's uh. He has not done well to say, dude, take an assistant coaching job or or pick up a different hobby. Pola, pointing also, there's no more Big twelve Big East Battle after this year. How sad are you guys? We should get it? Yeah, I can't. I can't come back on this podcast if you're not going to do the Big twelve Big East Challenge. Oh don't worry, sir, you can come back next year because they are
playing it this year. Campas will go at Yukon. But let's ask let's do ask Garcy bs and then it can go to bed. This show, he said, would be short, and it's it's not. It's not good News says there's only eighteen questions for you, sir. Here we go at cam lit bed. I'll just listen to the questions. How about that? Now now that cal has nil at his expense, can you imagine what he can do with whenever he gets some good recruits. So Cam Lipoldt predicted that
Oakland would beat Kentucky by the way in the tournament. So everything he says is it turns to gold. Right, Yeah, we'll see this. This is what I'm saying. I'm just seeing all these questions and these are great. This is such a good wide array of questions with basketball and nonsense at Rock chalk aj given that all other results would stay the same. Which former
KU team do you think would have beaten Yukon this year? The OA team is one of like the four or five best college basketball teams in modern mid and modern memory, and that team gets so forgotten about. People are like Florida and North Carolina with hansbro and that Kansas team beat both of those teams
basically one year apart. That team is so so slept on. That's also I think the only Kansas team in the last sixteen or the last Yeah, the old Kansas team in the self era that would have beaten this Yukon team. I agree, I think I think that's true. Uh, nineteen twenty was really good. I don't think they were that good. I also think I think that seems a little overrated. We didn't yeah agree, play agree. They really struggled offensively. They remind me of what Royals fans talk about
your Dono Ventura after he's died. They make they remember the good They say, oh, he would have gone on to do and and nobody says he probably would have gone on and been out of been out of the league in a few years, just like no one says, well, that Kansas team probably the lost in the second round. You remember what could have happened after something is no more. They were great, They were the favorite going into the tournament. But unless they would have won at all, which is possible,
I don't know. I think that they get a little overvalued because of it. Yeah, I think that's pretty decently solid. I they were falling away. The best team team you word, yep, yep, Dallas at Dallas Straw won. Any new info on Liam McNeely. We kind of talked about that earlier. It's been weird, it's been quiet. Would love to see him at Kansas at Matt underscore Gallon time? Is Tyon Grant Foster the best Jayhawk who transferred away and got really good? What other names fit that
criteria? Yeah, Grimes got good. He's an NBA player. I think that that Andrew White had a killer year in Syracuse, didn't he? And then eventually Nebraska. He was good at Nebraska and Syracuse. Anybody else leave that turned into anything. None of the guys left this year did anything. Those are probably the best few. I think Grimes is definitively the best. So though Tyan had a brilliant year. Tyan was one of the ten best
players in basketball this year. Ah, that's not accurate. At Ryan underscore landrath. If Nick was approached by a woman with all of the tattoos the mine could comprehend, and she promised him, she promised them a life of luxury riches and the ability to be a stay at home trophy husband while she worked a job and made hundreds of thousd per year as Nick did as he pleased and probably sounds terrible. First of all, okay, well, now I'm not working in my household. It's my wife. I Am not going
to be a freeloader. Right, I'll take the wife. Then Nick, I'll add this to my my rotation. Would you want to be a standing room dead? I don't care. I'm not landing, but yes, I do something. But it's fine, Yes, I want to car all right, all right? Anyway, rest the question what are you gonna do? Is in laundry all day? I do that all the time. Anyway. I didn't think that that would be a I didn't think that would be a part of the question that would make Nick trend the other way. But here
we are answer for the first part of the question. I also don't want to be rich, so I don't like you know that you don't know how it ends, sir. Here's the here's the rest of it. The the attractive woman, but she has a lot of tattoos, and she says you'll never have to work because she works hard and makes six figures a year. And the only is you have to do one hundred inside the Paint episodes every year for the next fifteen years. Do you say yes, that's the easiest?
No? Ever? Hmm, man, I did question if you said that, If you changed the question and just said it was a cute Christian Burnett girl who actually wanted to be a stay at home mom, and it would still be yes. I don't know if I could do fifteen years of IP if your wife once, if your wife has that job and is cool with you being at home, and like, yes, I'll be the I'll be a house husband. Are you kidding me? I'll wear the apron too, and vacuum and make dinner and all that. Yes, und I have
a more traditional view of that. I think that the man should be the head of the household. I did. I I had a more traditional view until I realized my wife does make a lot more than I do. I'm not working either, like if you're if we're making, she's making more than me. I'm not offended by that. It's the it's the idea of me not working while my wife is working that sounds a little off putting and just not having right. You're not You're not like sitting on the couch high with
Jesus, though it's like you are. Basically, the question was meant to mean you are free to pursue what you want to do, like you don't have to work, you don't have to worry about money, like you have everything set you just have to do the podcast. That was That was the though it sounds like life would be boring without a job. I want to hear no, I disagree with that. By the way that I can keep myself busy, uh and I will by doing this podcast. Obviously's why Landa
and I are answering this way because we love inside the paint. Right, ask what I want to know? I want to know if you're listening to this, what would you say in that question? Would you say no, that you want to work, or would you be like, hell yeah, I will absolutely be the house husband and stare at the woman with tattoos all day, and all I gotta do is inside the paint. I'd love to
know your answers at a J. Rosedale. Would you sign KU up for the next ten years for Gonzaga or Virginia's last ten seasons Gonzaga ten years, ten tournaments, nine sweet sixteens, two runner ups, Virginia replace the title without a non title. No, it's the next ten years like going forth. Would you take Gonzaga's or Virginia's eight tournaments, three sweet sixteens. They've had some brutal losses, losing to the sixteen a couple thirteens, but they
won a natty. I would take Virginia's. I would take any ten year stretch where I get a Natty in there. Yep, I agree. If the championships in there, you have to take that. That's what you're playing for ultimately, especially at Campas, I kind of feel like we've had what Gonzaga has. Gonzaga has been one of Gonzaga and Kansas have been the best two regular season programs undoubtedly over the last ten years, but Gonzaga hasn't won
the big one. Yet that's basically what Kansas did between two thousand and nine and twenty twenty one. Right, that was it? Yeah, pretty much. They want a ton of games, but they could. They always made runs, they never lost early in the tournament. They are well first round whatever. Uh, that's well, you had your occasional But you know, for the most part, yes, I would. I would sign me up. I would take Virginia as I would not take in Zagas at Rock Chuck
AJ. With a few here, what are the chances Liam commits the KU with or without Furfey staying. I don't think he comes here on those Furfey leaves. He needs somebody to go, and I do think Furfy is the most necessary piece. But someone someone has to leave regardless. I would think Nick from Rock Chalk AJ. Who's more likely to start Mayo or Google? Uh? Mayo Mayo will start if he doesn't start, I don't know what. But if Bill self starts out Marco Jackson and brings Zeke Mayo off the
bench, I quit. I will quit this podcast. I'll join Nick that but I won't work. Nick will work. I won't That's yes, Please know. A couple more from AJ here, I saw the word dynasty thrown around. I'm gonna say the yukon questions because there's a few here. What is more likely self benching kJ or Nick coming back for season eleven? Or is it twelve? It's twelve, isn't it? Yeah? Season twelve. Self will never vince kJ. I will convince Nick before I will convince self.
Unfortunately true. Not that I don't want Nick to come back. At show Me Hawk. I hate to alarm you, but there is an archive panic with older ITP episodes. I can't find any older than December twenty twenty two, And then AJ says, what the hell? I saw this tweet and went to Apple Podcast because I saved the National Championship episode. I listened to it sometimes after bad losses, and it's no longer there. Yes, I can only keep like sixty five of the most active podcast on the website.
I did paid for the platinum subscription. I did not know this would cause a stir. You know what? Okay, So here's what I'll do. One DM me and I'll all this, I'll share it with you, I'll send it to you. How about and pay for the where you can keep all of the shows on there? So if someone wants to go back and listen to Land and Ice first show, they can actually do that. I would do it if I could, like retroactively, I would do it if I could retroactively post episodes. But I think if I put them all
back, they'd like, all post. Let me look at it, and maybe I'll re upload it in the summer, just as a reupload so people have it. Didn't know that would cause controversy. I just know I needed to clear some of the cash. All right now, like you listen to these shows, needs to go back to twenty twelve three. I listen sometimes too at Matt Underscore Gallantine. What is your favorite dinosaur? Favorite dinosaur the moment is I think a velociraptor, which is the Okay, I am here
to to veloca raptor. Truth you here, that is the Spielberg velociraptor is not what they looked like. It's not even that so. Velociraptor was about three feet tall and it had it was a chicken with claws. They could run real fast, but they weren't open doors smart. So what Spielberg did Google this? I this is true. There is a dinosaur called the Dianacus, and that is it looks If you google it, you'll say, oh, that's what the freaking Blue and Jurassic World looks like. That's what Steven
Spielberg modeled his velociraptors looked like. But he didn't think Dianachus was a cool enough name, so instead he just said, well, let's just make him look like that. We'll call it a velociraptor. Because this was before the Internet, nobody looked anything up. And now your bone, Stephen, we see what you did, and now you're bone to That's it's just the truth.
I'm sorry. The most assaur is your answer. Answer the Blues, the Blue and as Landon and I have argued before we all wanted Jurassic World, whatever number it was. We thought we were gonna see them eat people and civilizations. I want that. I want the movie where dinosaurs run them up in in my backyard and also New York and wherever else. That would have been cool, yes, And instead we got a bunch of underground market crap. I know, we got bugs. The third one was about the
the the locusts and the plague. Freaking awful. At least they brought the original cast back at olhart Casey, curly waffle, standard or potato wedge fries. I do not discriminate. Oh, what truly absurd. You had a good Chick fil a waffle fry, But lately I really like Chick fil a waffle fries. But they're not the best kind of fry. Let me tell you what the worst in the world. Let me tell you what the worst
kind of fry is. The worst are those garbage ass and of the potato fries they throw in your chick in and out, in and out is the worst awful fries. Cardboard Armies have Armies has a case to be one of the best. Those are good. Crinkle curly fries are really good. I'd rather have are not all that good? They are? It was muted, it goes, it goes in order. Standard, curly waffle, wedge steak, crinkle steaks underrated. No, oh, Nick, have you ever had
a red robin fry? Yeah? And they're also really good because I am addicted to French fries. But they're good because they're bottomless. That's the only reason they're good. Because you can have as many season in the seasoning really good. But as a fry, it's not a great fry At dick under pod, At Pick, Underscore, Taser, Dickinson Mayo. So we've had the gun, the son of a gun, and now we have the bullets. KU last name trend is wild. Wayne, you never disappoint and with
a name like Wayne Kerr, you know your names. That's that's pretty wild. Wayne at Rockshock, AJ, what are your thoughts on the the prerequisites of being a blue blood. I was listening to the we need to have the blue blood question here's once an off season, especially when Uconnor Villanova wins it. I was listening to the local ESPN radio station. One of them mention, it's not about the program or it's about the programming, not the
coach. Their example was Gonzaga can't be one because if you take few away, they wouldn't have success that they've had. The program has to have success with at least three coaches. That and then AJ also asks is Yukon a dynasty? Yes, they're absolutely a dynasty. They won six titles in less than thirty years, including back to back in college basketball. Back to back is auto dynasty. Yes, Yukon is a blue blood. I don't agree
with the coaches thing either, because then Duke's not a blue blood. Ucla is not a blue blood, but Indiana's not a blue blood. I think Duke because coach K was there for so long, though, I think that kind of was he there any longer than wouldn't at UCLA. It's it's a like it's not as it wouldn't was there forever too. Yeah, I think I think really good, I've lost their blue blood status. You got to have multiple titles and you gotta be good for a long time to be a
blue blood. I'm not super complex. Kansas, North Carolina, Kentucky, Duke, Yukon. That's the list. Indiana and UCLA haven't done anything in a very long time, so they don't. I don't need them. Villanova wasn't good enough long enough. Villanova I think, has the coach argument against them very much because you take away Jay Wright. But Villanova won a title before. Uh, Villanova has won a title without that coach Duke has not. I don't know. If you c LA Duke had coach K for like
forty years, it counts. I think it counts. I don't know. Blue blood is just you're really good and you've won multiple Natties in my book, and it's happened for you have to do it for a long time. Say, I do think an amount of history has to be there for blue blood status because it's been Duke, Carolina, Kansas, Kentucky, and those are the foremost historic programs over the stretch of time. At Matt Underscore Gallentine, the team shot thirty three percent from three this year. Is that the
worst we've seen in recent KU history? Yes, it is one of the worst. At me without and you, how do you feel about a lot of media outlets way too early top twenty five picks all having Kansas in the top five field of sixty eight had them up one. Also, okay the second part of the question, Yeah, they're gonna be a top five team. I think they have a case for one. I think Duke, Houston and Kansas are gonna be one. Two in Duke's recruiting class is nuts and
Houston's getting their whole team back. Yeah, they're gonna be very good. I don't think Kansas is one yet, We'll see. I think Kansas is top three. If Dickinson comes back, the rest will fall into play. I think it's people are like, oh, we just see how well the one worked out. It's got to happen eventually, right, Also, what's your go to drink on a summer day? Lemonade? Uh? Yeah, lemonade or sweet tea? A couple more, that would be the answer.
That's the Yeah, that's that makes sense. A couple more at show me how that just makes even more sense. Now, if Kansas makes the final four in San Antonio, does Zeke Mayo have a chance at Outstanding Player of the Region if they If he is, that would explain how they got there. That's a super in the future question. Yeah, I guess he could. And the final question at show me Hawk. Now that Dan Hurley has won back to back titles, there's gonna be a lot of debate between Hurley
and self who is the best active coach in college basketball? Bill? So, I mean, I think it is because if if they have the same number of natties, you go with longevity. But if you can only have one, I think you're picking Hurley right now because Bill self has said I don't want to coach that much longer, and Hurley's like fifteen years younger.
If well, yeah, but I don't think the answer or the question is who would you pick in a fantasy draft as your coach, because then, yeah, I don't think it would actually be Bill because he's probably not around that much longer. But I think if you had to pick a coach for any one season, I do think it's Bill. Yes, I do too. Who are the three? Who else is there? Self? Hurley and
Oates? I'm gonna say Nate Oates. Nate Oates has continuously flipped that Oates and Drew are kind of similar, if we're being honest, like they have that second tier of programs, they flip them over and over again. Drew's done it longer, Honestly, Drew and Oates is kind of similar to Hurley v. Self, Like one of them's come along stronger, but the other has the longevity. That's reasonable. It's not cal but it might be soon.
No, it will not be twenty twenty five Nay Smith winners. Oh there's Bill self and John Cala Perry shaking hands the National Player and National Coach of the Year winners in twenty twenty five. Sure you ever have any ASCARCP questions, use the Twitter hashtag ascarcb al Right. Off season show number one is in the books, and we still have Nick. We'll see if we can convince him to come back and do another one. I would like to get to me to come back when it's eleven PM on a funny Wednesday night
and we're talking about what our favorite fry is. Hey, you know what, that's kind of Landon's fault. I started thirty minutes late. That's fair, of course, it's fair. It's always fair. It's fair on. It's fine. So we'll probably do another show here, I would guess in two three weeks, whenever we know more definitive news about Furfy and Dickinson. Those are the big two that they're waiting on. There's gotta be some more news. Pleay, Kentuck. You'll have a coach by then, and there'll
be a lot more portal stuff going on. So we'll be back in a couple of weeks. I'm sure, right, no reason we can't be. Yeah, we'll probably be back pretty soon. All right, Well, until then, Nick needs to go to bed. This is inside the paint on rock Chalk Flog. I am Ryan Landreth, and I would happily sign up to be married to somebody who makes it so I don't have to work I would as well. Please come back, Josh. Those are unrelated things and I'm uh nick. I need to go to bed. It's fair, all
right. Someone say bye, someone say behave. Welcome to the off season, folks. The vibes will only get weirder from here.
