Head coach Greg Schiano previewed training camp with the media. The Scarlet Knights bring back 20 players who made at least five starts in 2020, including 11 who started all nine games. In addition, the starting punter, kicker and long snapper return to the special teams units. The season opener against Temple is set for Sept. 2 at 6:30 p.m. at SHI Stadium in a game presented by PNC. The "Inside Rutgers Athletics Podcast" is presented by RWJBarnabas Health.
