2025 opened with two conference road matchups for North Carolina, and though the game play and effort may not have been up to the team's own standards, late game heroics from Elliot Cadeau helped UNC earn a win at Notre Dame after the Tar Heels delivered a clunker at Louisville earlier in the week. Seth Trimble's absence and continued offensive struggles were themes from both games.
