Louise competed in the 1962 Commonwealth Games in Australia, making the swimming finals in the 100m and 200m backstroke. She is currently the Commonwealth Games Federation Honorary Secretary and is Vice Chair of the Commonwealth Games Scotland Organising Committee. Louise chose "I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles)" by The Proclaimers and "The Road To Home" by Amy Macdonald.
