DNS cache poisoning, also known as DNS spoofing, is a type of attack that diverts Internet traffic away from real servers and towards counterfeit ones by exploiting the Domain Name System (DNS) flaws. DNS poisoning is particularly harmful since it can propagate from DNS server to DNS server.
