Episode description

Covering everything from symptoms to prevention, Amy and Jeff discuss lots of need-to-know information about Lyme disease. Scary stuff, but knowledge is power, right? Stay safe friends!

Correction around origin of naming... Lyme disease was diagnosed as a separate condition for the first time in Old Lyme, Connecticut - hence the name. One of the bacterium that can cause Lyme was first described by Willy Burgdorfer and was named after him - Borrelia burgdorferi.
