A 23 years old, Mariah Idrissi became the world's first hijab-wearing model. She featured in an H&M campaign that saw her popularity soar overnight. Since then she has gained thousands of followers on her social media channels and often engages in public speaking alongside her modelling career. She is also a humanitarian who works with several women’s and children’s charities.
