Episode 192: In this episode, Mark talks with author and journalist- Jill Greenleigh about her book "Go Go Speaks: The Heartbeat of a Culture". We discuss the orgins of Go Go music and how it formed on  the streets of Washington D.C.  We also talk about her early memories discovering music, working for "Word Up!" and "Rap Masters" magazines, interviewing and meeting so many artists in the world of Go Go and Hip Hop music, Go Go icons like Chuck Brown, Trouble Funk, Junkyard Band, PA tapes and the era of magazines and beepers.
