Episode description

On this week's episode of The Throw-In, Will Slattery is joined by Irish Independent GAA correspondent Michael Verney and Waterford legend John Mullane to discuss Kilkenny's win over Tipperary in the National Hurling League final.
It was Brian Cody's 20th national title and possibly his finest ever achievement, as his team of young guns mixed with veterans devoured their biggest rivals at Nowlan Park.

The lads discuss whether Kilkenny can carry their league form into the championship and also whether Tipperary can bounce back ahead of their crunch Munster championship clash with Limerick.

The Premier County suffered a similarly comprehensive league final defeat to Galway last year and struggled to recover - will it be different in 2018?

Also, Michael and John rank their top five teams ahead of the 2018 championship and give their biggest takeaway from the National League.
