Loftman started at IU in 1963 and was elected student body president on the Progressive Reform Party ticket in 1967. He was a founding member of IU’s chapter of Students for a Democratic Society. This podcast is part of the IDS story “Indignity in death: Unmarked graves in Bloomington indicate long history of racism.”
