Episode description

Artists Maria Doering and Fiona Chinkan have developed a unique way of collaborating that has resulted in a project called "Shared Energies: Cells, Stars and the Fluidity Between" The project is fascinating, but so is the story of how it came to life.

Maria Doering is a German multidisciplinary artist and printmaker, living and working in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia since 2012. Her art practice moves fluidly between drawing, printmaking, installation art, painting and embroidery.

Fiona Chinkan is a New York City based artist. Fiona began her signature style of drawings in 2001, as a way to accompany graffiti lettering she was exploring at the time. Over the years, she has developed the lines and forms as a means to express herself and interpret the world around her.
