In a candid Q&A with an audience of staff, students, senior policy figures and members of the media, Patrick spoke about the importance of collaboration between academia and policy-makers.

Facilitated by Professor Mary Ryan, Imperial’s vice-dean of research in the Faculty of Engineering, the Q&A tackled questions on how to influence government, plus the impact of Brexit and the next Prime Minister on science and research.
