Courage Takes Empathy Feat. Atsuko Okatsuka

This week Lucie is joined by the hilarious, amazing and one of a kind, Taiwanese-Japanese comedian Atsuko Okatsuka. Atsuko has done stand up on the James Corden Show, invented the TikTok drop challenge, and is on tour this year. We talk about being tricked into moving to the US as a 10 year old and dealing with the shock of that, why her uncle gave birth to her, growing up undocumented in a basement, being stuck in cultural purgatory, not having a language to communicate to her grandmother in, her mom’s mental illness and so much more.
