It's Tuesday. You know what that means, It's time for Ignition with the aaw fan Hub podcast team. This is Kelson and Alex was at the Wednesday night Toronto Dynamite Rampage show and I wanted to throw it to Alex and see if he could share any inside thoughts what happened. Yeah, so it was a great show. They definitely designed the show to appeal to the Toronto crowd,
with the main event of Christian Cajun Adam Copeland the biggest. Like, it's hard to say that anyone was the most popular because I feel like the crowd, especially for the first two hours of Dynamite, was just loud the entire time. Yeah, Like for the Eddieocata match, everyone was super hyped because it was the first match of the card. I feel like the pop for Mercedes Monette wasn't maybe as loud as I expected. Okay, I don't know how that came across one. I'm just gonna say that. I mean
it didn't come over is very loud. It came out off was pretty subdued over to TV mm hmmm. I think, yeah, maybe they needed to appeal more to the crowd, having like Christian or Adam Copeland do something in
the beginning, or just someone Canadian. It was maybe a bit of a different decision bringing her out again, especially when it was like was it the last I guess two dynamites ago that they had the big business anyways, right before that, Yeah, like will Ospray, I thought he got a pretty great reaction from the crowd, and then obviously, like Adam Copeland, people went crazy for him, especially when they did the like hockey spot and just
then going through the Yeah, they put the Boston Bruins jersey on Christian cage and there's a longtime rivalry between the Leafs and the Bruins. So we talked briefly about Mercedes Bonet. But there were two actual women's matches, one on Dynamite, one on Rampage. What was the reception for those matches? I think, yeah, I feel like Tony Storm and Mariah May got a great reaction when they came out, just like people talking in the crowd around me,
like people were really into Tony Storm's thing. And I was with like a friend who's not familiar with aw at all, and he instantly just thought that the whole Tony Storm thing was great when I'm explaining it to him, Uh yeah, funny enough. And then like you know, after two hours of Dynamite and then going into Rampage and it's all live, I feel like there was a huge drop off in the crowd after those first two hours.
But then by the time the women's match, like the the hardcore match that they had, the crowd had finally kind of returned and they were pretty pretty
into it for that match, So I thought that was cool. Okay, So they needed a recuperation period, I think, I think, yeah, especially after the craziness of the the I Quit match, Like I know, I was like yawning in my seat, like I was really enjoying that best Friends versus don Kallis family match, but it was like, man, it was it was tough, okay, and then the bottom match, Yeah, it was tough, and then and then uh yeah it got a lot better.
Well, what, la Ques, after Dynamite was over, did you notice a clearing out of the crowd a lot of people leave after Dynamite or did people stay for a rampage. There was a couple people right next to me that did leave, But for the most part, it felt like I'd say, ninety percent of the people stuck around. I think having a live rampage makes it more appealing, but it is tough, and I'm sure people
watching on TV as well, like three hours is a long time. I don't know if AW should should look to making that thing that they do often. And I guess talking about negative reactions like the Hook Jericho match was really tough being there as a Canadian fan and I I know I've I've been a little critical of Chris Jericho lately, but it was sad to feel the other people in the building around me just kind of like cheering for Hook yelling kind
of rude things to Chris Jericho and he's in Toronto. It felt bad. It was really sad, and I thought it was a good match too. It was kind of like a different thing that we don't usually see, like a squash match. It kind of reminded me of like brock lesnar versus John Cena from back in the day with all the suplex after supplex. All right, thanks Alex, appreciate that interesting insights. I'm gonna strow with to net now because Nett wanted to speak a little bit about a re signing in a
w okay, thank you, Telson. I'm just happy that Jake Roberts or Jake to Snake is back. Then he resigned for another year. I've liked him as the rest since my childhood, and I watched the episode of him in Dark Side of the Ring. I knew a little bit about his life story, but after I watched Dark Side of the Ring, I liked him a lot more as a person in addition to a wrestler. I like him all around, and I especially like the way that he advocates for Lance Archer.
He gets out there and says that Lance Archer needs a belt inaw that he could be doing so much more, and he doesn't always understand why they aren't using Lance the way that Lance could be used. I think that's just good sticking up for the person that you are affiliated with and work with. So it seems like he's just a nice guy, and I'm glad that he seems to be feeling well enough to be back and hang around for another year with us. That's so on t U m K. Well, I want
to touch base. Look, there's a lot of rumors spreading around that the one and only MotorCity Machine Guns maybe on their way to aw I'm trying to remember correctly, but I think it was at World's End last we seen them and they did a tag match with FTR and Jet Jero's Bunch. I think that's when they was. I could be wrong, but they so for those who do not know, I want to do refresher. They are one of the bigger name tag teams. We think tag teams. You think T and
A, you will think of them. They had a very big feud with Beer Money, which was Robert Rude and James storm Lax, all those big names. If you know TEENA, you know who these guys are. But they've been around the world. They are about as well traveled as anybody can be. They have the same kind of history as what the Young Bucks do, and I think the Young I think most of the machine Guns helped put Young Bucks on the map as well. So but they're a very good tag
team. I don't know their age. They're of course older, but not super old, but they are good. The wrestlers, they are a little bit more hard flyers. They have been ex division champions. I think, OK. They first told me a backtrack. Their name is Alex Shelley and Chris Saban, and one of them was just a Ben, a world champion. I don't know which one. I can't remember at the top of my
head, but they're very good and they would be a great addition. But you know, there's it's too late to be in the tag division with something I want. I think we'll talk about here in a second, the tag divisions of the Tag Team Tournament. So we'll see where they go. I hope they get it picked up. They are good enough tag team to make a mark and put and put people over and put on good matches. You
know, mkay. You made a post just very recently on the aw fatub subreddit asking our subscribers who the top five tag teams in AW Are you listened your five? I'd like for you to go ahead, and I'm gonna go to el Sutton first on this, but I wanted to get everybody's opinion on what you think. Now, I'm not talking about just the tag teams that are in the tournament. I'm talking about all the tag teams in AW. I couldn't come up with five, to be honest with you. Soon I'm
gonna put you on the spot. What do you think are your top five tag teams in a top five that's a good question. Well, you have to have and personally I did not like FTR when they first came in, but FTR has to be one of the top five. I would say Ftruh Luca Bros. Because when they are healthy and together, they are probably the best tag team in a W for what they can do. Hm uh. Next, I'm trying to think here, the Acclaim are one of my top
five because the Acclaim are very good. They got embroiled in the Triple the six man tag team, which was good, but I'd like to see them go back to being a regular tag team and just concentrate on that. And along those lines, I think I like the ass Boys. I think that those two are a pretty good tag team and I'd like to see them get more tag team matches in. And the fifth one is kind of tough. I there are so many other tag teams. I'm on I'm a float one
just because I want to put it out there. But if I was, if I was to put together a non if it was just a tag team that could be put together, I would like to see uh And if we talked about it, a couple of times about there might be a women's tag team. I would like see Chris Statlander and either I don't want her to be with what's her name? That I don't think that would be a good tag team. I would like to see Cheetah and Cheetah and stat Lander together.
Who's Who's what's your name? Don't got the memory going all the time? You know? I don't. I don't. I don't see with little being a good tag team partner for her. But I would love to see Chris and and and uh Cheetah together as a tag team. I think they would be a nationally awesome women's tag team. But you know, the fifth put a fifth guys tag team in there is kind of tough for me because
once you get to that level. Of those four teams I named, there aren't a whole lot of teams, you know, the rights could be put in there, but they're not really that familiar on W Yeah, well, I mean you might, you might think of them as something else, but they aren't that bad as a team. They just don't have that much exposure yet private party, let's well, let's not name you named five? Yeah,
those aould be the ones I would go with. It's really interesting to me that of the five that you named, one wasn't even a men's tag team, right, and two of them aren't active in tag teams. So very tough. Five. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna go to I'm gonna go to net and get a reaction to this. Okay, best tag teams, I say, Luca Bros. And the Young Bucks, the Acclaimed, and Butcher in the Blade those okay. Those? Oh and given the chance I think, given more chance to work as a tag team, I think
Malachi Black and Brodie King. Okay, So those are my pick that. It's really interesting though, because again you picked the Claimed and Luca Brothers. Luca Brothers. I don't know. I may be off here because I didn't look up any statistics, but it seems like they haven't wrestled as a tag team in a year, and you claim you probably haven't wrestled as a tag team in a year either. So wrestling is because they're hurt. What's his name's hurt? He hasn't been Pint has been there. But if they if
he wasn't hurt, they'd be wrestling as a tag team. I understand that, but still, if you look, I guess my point is Alex at MK. I will get to you soon, but I guess my point is there are other tag teams, and you're pointing toward the two teams that have not even wrestled as a tag team in the year, whether it's for injury or whether in the trios matches. Is the aw tag division just that week
right now that we're not even naming actual tag teams that are. And I'm not putting you guys down because I agree with you, because when I did my list, I couldn't come up with five myself. But I'm gonna go to m K because this was his baby. So you started this discussion,
what what did you put down? Well? I put FDR first because I feel that they are the most solid pound for pound tag team and they're not you know, they're not too gimmicky, they know what they want to do, and they I yet to see a bad match out of any of them. And then, of course I put the Young Bucks because I feel they are good enough. I don't like their gimmicks and stuff, but they can put on a darn good match. And uh, you know, I don't
like I don't care for the shoot gimmicks and stuff like that. But they are the quality tag team I did House of Black. I don't care which incarnation they are. They're all talented. I just wish Tony would book them better and quit booking them as the surprise loss team that loses. Surprisingly I did a private party. Robert Hardy is great. They're young, they got a cool gimmick. I think they're on their way up. If I was booking this tournament, I would book him to win. But I hope they
do. But I don't see it, and I can't remember who I said on the last one. But I feel I think you're name five? Did I name five? Okay? I probably? I don't know. Well those are mine? Okay? Well Alex, let's go to you and what do you have here? Pal? Yeah? I think I think I agree with you know MK. FTR is my number one. I just love FTR. Young Bucks are my number two. They probably wouldn't have been my number two six months ago, but I think what they've been doing lately is interesting.
They're a lot of fun. After that, Yeah, it's kind of rough, like ever since FTR lost the titles to Ricky Starks and Big Bill, it does feel like the tag division has really taken a back seat to everything. So for my third tag team, like I have the Guns, is maybe my third the ass Boys, And then i have yeah, Kings of the Black Throne because it's like, I love House of Black, but they just throw out any random combination of those guys. So I'm going with Malachi
and Brody because at least they have a name for their tag team. But it's hard to it's hard to get invested in them as a tag team just because yeah, it's like last thing we saw was Buddy and Brody. It's just pretty random. They're not a real tag team in my eyes. In aw and then the fifth one, I'm kind of leaving off the acclaim, leaving off Luca Bros. I'm throwing in another name that's not really featured, and one of the guys is injured, but I'm just gonna put them here
just because people may have forgot about them. But Ozzie Open, Uh, Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis, Oh yeah, I think, Yeah, I'm looking forward to them coming back. But I really enjoy Kyle Fletcher on his own. I think he's such a great wrestler, So part of me's a little worried about him not getting to shine as a singles guy once Mark Davis comes back. But yeah, Ozzie Open, I think they deserve a mention. I'll tell you it's so mine. I went with the Young Bucks.
I went with the Kings of the Black Throwne. I put Buddy Matthews and Brody King together on that one, Okay, I put FTR, and I put John Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli. As far as my fifth one is, if at the Acclaimed then the Lucha Brothers and Ossi Open actually start wrestling again as a tag team, they would fight it out out for not only fifth, they could be number one. I mean, seriously, they're that good, but they're not any good as a tag team if they're not actually wrestling
as a tag team, you know what I mean. I'm not talking down about them, it's just that it's hard to rank them for me, you know, as far as as that goes, because they're not wrestling when you get the people like you know, I could put somebody like Private Party in top Flight in their Big Bill and Ricky Starks and everything, but I'm not invested in them. They're they're bid carters who win some and they lose some. They're not dominant, they're not booked to be the greatest, So how
can I say their top five? So when you look at the MotorCity mad Men or whereever the hell they are, if they do come in, they may be inserted right in there. I don't know. Yeah, yeah, MotorCity mad Man. I'll definitely tell them that they need to change their name. I mean, do they own the name or do or does TNA own the name if they come in I don't know, because don't they use it in I think they use it in the indies all the time. Yeah,
okay, well, uh interesting stuff. Let's move on to our Dynamite preview. Alex talk about one pick a match and talk about it. Let's because these matches are pretty intriguing, wouldn't you agree? Yeah, no, for sure we were. We're in the crowd for Dynamite and my wife was like, she was mad that we're not getting to see some of these matches that in Toronto and then they're doing it in Quebec City instead for the mostly French
speaking population does freaking French. Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be an interesting crowd because yeah, like half the population of Quebec city does not speak English. I assume mostly English population have to population if this car doesn't speak English, well, yeah, that's that's a great that's a good point. But yeah, let's okay, let's leave. Let's not talk about the most interesting match first. But knew ski Takeshta versus Swarve Strickland, So they basically said
that this is for like number one contender. Whoever wins this match is going to be the number one ranked male wrestler in ae w Right. Well, Tony Kahan did make a tweet confirming that, yes, tweet that wins this matches the number one contender. Mm hm hmm. I'm sorry. I think it's incredibly obvious who's gonna win this match. I think, yeah, for
sure swear Strickland. But it's going to be an awesome match. Just anything with Takeshta is amazing, and ninety percent of swar Strickland matches are amazing. So yeah, I'm really looking forward to this, and I do wish we got some great matches. So I guess I can't be so greedy, but I do wish this was something I got to see live. Well, let me ask you a question. So you're saying that Swerve is going to beat Takeshta, do you think there's a chance, because you know how Tony Khan
loves three ways? Do you think there's a chance something happens during this match that forces forces Tony Khin's hand and creates a three way situation for the World Championship at Dynasty. I don't think so, just because the story doesn't back that up. Like when we had the Hangman Swerve three way match. You know, there was so much involvement between Swerve and Hangman leading up to that
match that it made sense this like Takeshta. I know they had a promo last week kind of establishing this, but yeah, I don't really see a story there to back it up. That's sure. Yeah, you know, I really hate to see a loser in this match. They're both good. Do you did anybody I think that? Does everybody think that Swerve was ready to be the champion? Well? Absolutely? Yeah my opinion he should have already been the champion. I agree, Yeah, yeah, I think so,
but I'm happy to wait. I think this is an appropriate point. Yeah, I mean, I mean something Joe won the championship. You got you have to give him at least a pay per view cycle to behold it, and he's done that, so we're good to go now. But go ahead that Okay, I didn't mean then interrupt you. No, no, no, that was my question. Look, I really think that's a good match. It's all of the queens that you you know. I just I
love what he's hot right now. It's kind of weird to me seeing him being championed has a face though, but but I think uh AW fans have made it so so that you know, he got over organically and became face.
But he'll be good. I hope they really put on that how good it is and have homegoing talent and where he really came from because he was in an XT he was supposed to be saw it after and then they dropped the ball on and this is really the first champion that I can think of that really came from NXT, that that really blasted out when he came in into AW and did his own thing and became his own man. So that's my thought on that. Okay, let's go to Sutton on this one and
get his thoughts on swerve and Takeshta gonna be a great match. The only thing that I don't like about it is the fact that they're kind of pushing Taquesta into this, even though I do believe that he's ready to get into the title picture. This just seems like it's a dropping the hat to give Swerve a match. That's my thining. I think it's gonna be a it's gonna be probably the second best match of the night. But I you know, I think Swerve is gonna win, and I think he's gonna beat Joe
at Dynasty. I just see it happening. Okay, Well, Nett, what are your thoughts on this. I'm excited to see it. I love Takashta, and I think it's gonna be good overall. I I really am kind of on the fence about who might win. I don't know, and I'm I'm worried with Swerve that they're playing the long the long game that is turning into too long of the game to make him chance. Right, So, but you don't in the same regard, you don't want to rush it.
But it seems like they're hyping him up to be champion and then taking a really long time to do so, so there's a risk of getting bored with him, and maybe this match will bring a little bit of a spark back and a little excitement back to whatever Swerve has got going on. Maybe there's gonna be a twist there with Tekeshta wrestling him. Maybe the rest of the Kallus family is going to try to beat Swerve up, and he's going to beat them all up. Who knows something to make him look really strong
and you know, get that excitement back for him. So I'm I'm looking forward to saying it. Yeah, you know, Alex, I want to ask you a question. All right, we just saw will Osbury defeat Takeshta. Now if Swerve defeats Takeshta, what does that do to Takeusta. Yeah, it is tough because Takeshtah he deserves better and in a lot of ways. But at the same time, you want you don't want to see these like you know, Brian Heath versus where strict line being Taylor versus Swerve Strickland.
You want to see him beat guys that matter in order to earn a title opportunity. But it does duck that Takeshta is in this position where he's not ready for that title match, but he's like a stepping stone. Yeah, he's so good, Like he's maybe in the top five wrestlers in the world right now, Like in terms of his innring ability. I think he proved that with this match against Osbrey. I don't think he could discount that. Mm hmm. You know, I'm going to make a spicy prediction here.
Stick with me because you know that I get kind of long winded. But anyway, I'm going to make a spicy prediction in that I don't think
there's gonna be a clean finish to dispatch. I do think Swerve is gonna win, but I think ultimately it's gonna come down to the don Kallis family going in and really being interfering with Swear strictly and accept for Kyle Fletcher, who's going to be conflicted, and they're going to turn, meaning that don Kallis family is going to turn on Kyle Fletcher, which brings out will Ausbury and the United Empire is going to be in the blooming early stages of being
reformed in AW. That's what I think is going to happen. At least that's what I kind of hope happens because I don't want to see the Cash to lose. I don't want to see Strickland lose either. This match is putting Putt in like fans, between a rock and a hard place, and I guess that's why it's good booking. I don't know. I agree with you on one thing there, you know, well, I think you're right how it's going to go down. But the only part of that I didn't
really agree with because it's never really been said. The the the group has never his group. The group isn't you know, They've never been like said it was defunct. They just happen to be in different places. And now the one that with Fletcher being part of that, I think what you got we had talked about before about how they're going to try to figure out a
way to disband the Callus family. That's a good start, Yeah, you know, I mean because if you come out and you have if you have takeushta come down and they start to come out to help him, and then Kyle Fletcher doesn't do anything, and then Osprey comes out and gets with him, then you've got that schism being even bigger. You know what I mean? I just I agree with you though, they just kind of be tough
for everybody to go. This don't make any sense because now you've got the two best guys that are you know, who are important guys going against each other without a clear way to them for them both to save face. I guess, uh yeah, exactly. Anybody else have any more comments about the Takesha and strictly match. Look at it, though, Don Kallas has inserted himself and put Takeshka in these two matches, the one that he lost to will Osprey and this one. You know, he put him in that spot.
So that's a good way for tokest to say, hey, stop, let me fight my own battles. I don't I don't need you, don I need you know, I need to do it on my own. Uh. It's a tough spot. I for one, honestly see it going into bedlam and they're not being an ending of some sort and they pass it out some other some other way because it's too hard for Taqusha to take to two
losses like that, too big players. I know, you know it's a quality of the person you lose to, But I think sincinanding isn't going to happen, and something's gonna happen to where it's not going to rite as well. Well, you know, I'd be upset if I was Taqushta because they made him look too feminine in that stupid painting that they got up on the tight whateverever you want to call it. He does. He looks like I was like, man, who's that girl? Who's that gorgeous woman with him?
Oh wait, it's Takeshta. So yeah, that painting is very odd looking if you look at it, he does look gorgeous. But anyway, Alex, let's us move forward. What's what's the next match on the agenda for you, buddy? Uh? Yeah, when don't we talk about the women's four way? I guess this was announced? Uh just in the last hour or so. Yeah, Statlanders Skyblue and A J. Willow Nightingale. Nice to see and a j back on TV after a brief hiatus on Ring of Honor. Did you see that match on Ring of Honor with her?
No? Me And I'm sure Akala, Oh my god, what a right batch, Ada Jade. That's Ada J's best batch. But go ahead, I mean this match the winter, this match gets a shot at Dynasty at Julia Hart at the TBS Championship. Mm hmm, yeah, So I think that kind of give gives it somewhat away on who's not gonna win. At least, it's probably not going to be sky Blue or Anti Jay because kind
of the storylines that have been building don't really make sense with that. So it's either Willow or Chris Statlander for my money, And I think Willow maybe makes the most sense because of the Mercedes Mona On commentary their beef. Yeah, I think that's that's the direction I see this going. I wonder, Sutton, what do you think about this match? I kind of agree with you. It also gives you a way to for further the gap between Statlander
and Willow that we all think is coming or appears to be coming. I really wish that that uh and a j had has would be used better than she has been. She's a but but the thing about it is she is very young. She might even be one of the youngest women on the women's on the women's in the women's division, so you know she has time uh and and and with the Scott Blue that that's another one of those situations where You've got three and you can even say and a j does in a way.
You got three people who could righteously be put into that match, and it's going to be interesting to see how they handle it. What do you think, net uh with me and and the women's division, Well, with these particular wrestlers, I'm excited to see them in general, but I'm also getting a little weary of the same people wrestling one another almost all of the time. And I would like to see Anna Jay get her dues. She she is young, but she is very good, and I think she's one
of those wrestlers that's a bit underutilized considering her talent. So I'd like to see her come out on top for this one. Yeah. Oh so, I'm not much interested in this match. I hate to be a bad guy, but they have played with this in a little bit. I just want to see Morsedes Monet in a match. I do not like this approach of the way they did. It was sandpunk of him, of her taking forever
to be in a match. I would rather get to go on show her or reminding us of how good she is instead of having her own commentary. Because number one, she's not that great of a speaker. So I just want Mercedes Monette to get out there in the ring and do her thing. But this is gonna him haul around so long, and we're getting this interested and and just forget about Mercedes a little bit. But they need to get her in a match instead of doing this. So mm hmm. I wonder
MK, do you have any predictions what will Mercedes's first match be. Well, the way it's looking at a Willow, just because of all attention and all the backstage segments of her being rude to her, I think she works better as a heel, So I think she's going to be somewhat of a heel will heal and say, you know, I'm better than everyone else and I'm the cee e oh or whatever that is supposed to me, and I
think it'll go with her. M hmm. Yeah, I guess I'm starting to think maybe this is leading to a three way match with Mercedes and Julia Hurt and Willow or something like that. Yeah, it's interesting, Yeah, you know, I mean, here's my thoughts on this match. I agree with what was said that this is just one of those matches where it seems like to a certain extent that we've seen it before and it's just the same thing over and over again. I mean, so I don't think she's gonna
win. But I am rooting wholeheartedly for Anna Ja in this one. I really am, because you know, I just I just want to see something new. I mean, of course, yes, Anna Jay and Julia Hart have Russell twice already. Anna Jay's defeated Chris Statlander, She's defeated sky Blue. She's I mean, Julia Heart's defeated Christatlander, I believe twice. Now, I believe she's defeated sky Blue twice. She's defeated Willow Nightingale twice,
and she's defeated Anna Jay twice. Why are we doing these same women for the TBS Championship. There's got to be something else going on here. We just you know, somebody said, you know what about having a three way at Dynasty. We just had a three way in the last pay per view. But my thing is my thing is they haven't started. Is the Monette thing A worry about her ankle still? Maybe she's not completely ready to get into ring yet, you know what I mean, because they got her in
as soon as they could. But she might not be to that point where she's trusting it enough yet. Yeah, because when you you know what I mean, if you ever play sports and you get an injury, especially something like that that puts you on the shelf, and they say, hey, you may never do this again, it may be something where there might be some shell shock, and it's just they're kind of easing her in. So
I'm not too worried about her getting in the ring. And I don't see them doing this the way they're doing it as a I see what they're doing right now coming up the Dynasty as finishing off storylines, and then once get the Dynasty, which is in four weeks, they'll start working new storylines, and then Monete will start to get in there. Well, on the Twitter or ex post that Mercedes Monet posted where she said, who do you want
to see me fight? First? The three most predominant women that were mentioned were Willow Nightingale, Julia Hart, and sky Blue. So what if sky Blue wins this match? Julia Hart comes out and says, well, we want Mercedes Monet and they do a three way that way, you know, and you know that would give Look, you know a lot of times when somebody's coming back from a long hiatus or from injury, they put them in these special kind of matches, being three ways or four ways or tag teams,
just to kind of protect the wrestler a little bit. The exception to that rule was very recently when a wrestler came back from injury and I can't remember who it was, but they went balls to the wall all out. I was like, well, that kind of discounts that. Who was it? They came back from injury and just were a place off hawk I don't know, well too, Yeah, but I've talked about this this person. I can't remember if it was a man or a woman either, it wasn't
it was it was Serena deeb. Serena d came back and she hadn't wrestled in like over years. She came in and she just was all over to dan place, no ring rust at all. Wasn't she in in Japan? No? Hmm? Now so all right, Well, I mean it's gonna be an interesting match. There's all kinds of story that could happen here. But I really like to see Anna Jay whining. Alex, what's the next match you want to talk about? Yeah? Well, I'm saving the best
for last, so that leaves one more match before that one. So Young Bucks versus Private Party AW World Tag Team Championship Tournament quarter Final. I think this was like on the first Dynamite or one of the first Dynamites they had, Young Bucks. Private Party beat Young Bucks if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, do you think that's gonna happen again? No? No, I don't think so. Yeah, this is Young Bucks getting their revenge on Private Party
for beating them that first time. Like Private Party, I've I've enjoyed them recently, Like I didn't really watch AW religiously back in the beginning, and then they've just been like Mark Quinn just been hurt. He came back and then he's been hurt. But I've been enjoying them so far this run. I hope they stay healthy. But yeah, I think definitely the Young Bucks are gonna win. Here, Sutton, what are your thoughts on this?
Who's the who's the next who would be possibility of the next match? Undisputed Kingdom versus Bat best friends? So probably best friends but maybe yeah disputed? Yeah, yeah, I think the Bucks are gonna win. I do not see them being in the final though, I really don't. But I think on this one it is going to be the Bucks, just because Private Party was out for so long with from injury and all the craziness that went on with the Hardy thing and everything like that, So I just don't see them
getting that push yet. So I think the Bucks will move on to the next round. We'll see what happens after that there. What about you, Net, I see the Young Bucks winning this one. I think the I think Private Party has some other things going on, like they're looking for that
their third member or whatever it is they're doing with all those auditions. Yeah, and I can see the Young Bucks wanting their victory back because I remember when they wrestled in the very early days of AW and I think it's gonna be a very good match. But I see the Young Bucks coming out on top, but I don't. Also, I don't see them winning the tournament either at the end, and I don't know who will, but I don't think it's gonna be the Young Bucks. So those are my thoughts on that
one. All right, Okay, well what do you have on What are your thoughts on this? Well, unfortunately, I think you got it right. I just I don't want to see the Young Bucks advance that far, but I think they will. Uh, they're gonna have to push being you know, at some point they gotta start winning for this uh extremely violent people or whatever. They're trying to portray as the big bosses, and they're gonna have to cheat their way, and I think they're gonna end up winning.
I don't want them to, but it's been a lot since they've had it, and then they're gonna get it and have it a while. People are gonna shack and finally defeat him like they can always do. There canna be a big bad guys of doing that. This is a pretty strange. I'm not a big fan of this tournament. I'm not gonna lie. I think there could have been some stronger tamps put in there. I don't see why the Infantry already won their match, but it is what it is, and
this is Tony booking. But I ultimately see the uh the Young Bucks winning at all. Yeah, you know, look, I don't want to be a downer here, So to all fans of these two teams, we're leading up to a pay per view. You're not gonna have a pay per view match with Private Party versus the infantry for the Tag Team Championship, that would be just playing stupid. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but it is. But the championship, the championship match is going to be the Young Bucks versus
FTR. There's no point in even having this tournament. Just say it's Young Bucks at FTR. It just puts different matches on Dynamite because this is stupid. I'm sorry it is. I mean, it's just dumb. This tournament is dumb. You look at the brackets and you're like, Okay, they're gonna make some surprise or a surprise winner too, but ultimately needs to come down to FTR and the Young Bucks. That's who's going to sell the pay per view. So that's what it's going to be. At the pay per
view. There's no questions. I'm sorry, but people will pay to see the Young Bucks at FDR. Nobody's going to see the pay to see Private Party in the infantry unless that's just your thing for whatever reason. I don't know anybody else have any more comments about that. If not, Alex take us. Yeah, I will say this. I don't know if it will be a Young Bucks and FTR, but it'll definitely be Young Bucks or FTR, Like I could see FTR versus Best Friends or Young Bucks versus Top Flight
or something. They stick another, they stick another belt on Orange CASTI I swear to God up and strangle myself. Yeah, I think she's I mean, give us a break from Orange Cassidy with the company. Don't get me wrong, I love Orange Cassidy. He's a phenomenal wrestler, great talent,
great character, horribly horribly unriginal with the belt not his fault. But when you have somebody that wins just every single match that he's in, you know, and then he loses, and then the next match he has a belt again, give me a break, Come on, just shoot me at Yeah, well that would be the only way Trent would get about just being dragged along by Orange Cassidy. Now Chucky was in the place of Orange Cassidy, that would be I would I root for them, Yeah, it would be
much. I love the gentleman who is who has never won a singles match in AWE. That's criminal. Not on Dark Are we not counting? No, I'm not counting Dark. But I did a post on on Reddit and I don't have it in front of me. But I was like Shane Taylor has never wanted a match on a w A singles match on a w TV. Brian Keith has never won a singles match on a w TV. Uh. Queen Abinada was in eighteen before she won her match against I forget who
she wanted against, but she won. She was eighteen and all in all a W matches, you know, singles matches. It's just amazing to me how many wrestlers are are winless. And then it was like Anna j in in uh in singles matches, I mean, in title matches is something like Ohn eight, you know, and Brian Danielson is oh and seven with one draw. I mean, it's amazing when you see how many people, how
many wrestlers in ae W consistently fail to get a championship uh. You know, like Ruby Soho has never won a belt at w W or a W. She's oh in six in championship matches, owing three a w W O and three and a W. I mean, it's just amazing when you look at it. Sky Blue is I believe and seven in championship matches, in title matches, you know, so it's it's just it's just amazing. Kip Sabi, it's the same way I believe he's like going five in championship matches.
Daniel Garcia is like going six and championship matches at AW Now he's won the pure Championship, but you know, it's just like a consistent thing. I guess that's one of the reasons why I want to see Anna j win that match. But anyway, anyway, I'm sorry r off kilter there, Alex. What's next? Bring us? Yeah, well, we have one last match that's been announced to talk about. Katsiori Shabata versus will ospray this.
Yeah, this, Like when they were first talking about it at Dynamite, I was really hoping it was happening that night, but unfortunately not. Yeah, what, I'm really excited for this match. I know they've wrestled before in Japan. Will Osprey talked about it. I haven't seen that match.
Uh, Like, I love will Osprey so much. I Debata has just been my favorite Japanese wrestler for so long, ever since I saw him do that like his match with Okata and stuff where he does the headbut and then blood trickles down his head Unfortunately that style almost frobbed him of his career. But yeah, I love Sabata. It's great having him in AW.
I think, obviously, well Osprey is gonna win, and I feel like there's a flight chance that cat's your Shabata ends up in the Blackpool Combat Club, which would make me like the Blackpool Combat Club for the first time. And you allegiate MMA guy. Do you know who is a honorary member this weekend of the Blackpool Combat Club mat Side Dellens at the Blackpool Combat Club because where Yuda was not cleared to travel or fight in the CML event CML event
in Mexico, and so the toughest guy ons on. So sidell is a for one night only. A remember at a Blackpool Combat Club, something tells me he's gonna eat a pin. I don't know why I think that by something tells me he's stepping into wheeler. You as eating a pin? Spot go ahead, alex Uh Yeah, no, that's interesting. I remember Matt Sidel came out and saved John Moxley from some of the CMLU guys at a random dynamite, So maybe that's where their friendship started. True, I didn't
think of that. Yeah, uh yeah, I really like Shrewata. I love Osprey. I'm really excited for this match. I think, well, Osprey is gonna win. But yeah, it's a cool match and I'm excited to see it. Suddon, what are your thoughts on this match? I agree it's gonna be a great match. Shabata is probably one of the to
me. For me, was one of the lesser known Japanese wrestlers because when I started watching New Japan, I saw Okata and all the guys that were there two three years ago, but Shabata was hurt and he wasn't wrestling at the time, so I didn't even know who he was until he came on and uh aw. So I think the fact that he has he has been in aw almost from the beginning. It wasn't that long after they got started
that he joined. I think it's gonna be a great match because I think he's he's he's the last few matches is Shabata has wrestled, he has really been going all out. There's been a few times in his past matches that I kind of think he was holding back a little bit because of maybe still a little nervous, maybe or they they didn't fit right. They weren't he weren't somebody he was used to wrestling. But with him facing O Spray in
the past, I think it's going to be a really good match. This could be another one of those matching to your candidates, what do you think, Nick, I think it's gonna be really good. Shabata is a phenomenal wrestler, so is Ausprey. I have been looking forward to comparing it to the match that he had with Danielson and seeing how, you know, how that goes, because I remember Ausbury saying, you know, he was going
to show Danielson a thing or two. So I want to see what he's going to bring to this match, and I think it's Yeah, it's gonna be one of those matches to remember that we'll all be talking about still in a few years because they're just that good. And I'm really looking forward to
it. So so I'm gonna say this is a good showcase match or will Osprey because we all know he is already the aerial assassin, so I think there's a chance to really showcase how well he can slow down the match and put on a clinic the tennant fool wise as well, because as it's been said that Daniel Bryan is supposed to be the greatest technical wrestler. Well, I think that's what Brian Danielson whatever, I don't. I don't fortaken, it's too hard. But anyway, but look, uh, Brian Danielson is
supposed to be the most technical wrestler. So I, like I said, this is a great chance of showcase what he's available to do and how good will Osprey is. Of course, you know he's going to win, but this is a great match to also introduce Shabata to people and remind him how good he is as well. But this will be ah oh stopper. And I'm not saying match in a year or anything, but it'll be a good quality in Mess because Dynamite have been very, very good the last three times.
Agreed, Yeah, you know, I got to say that I agree with what Sutton said that you know, it seemed like Shabbata's but hold it pulled pulled him back. But when he when he had his match against Danielson, that was just a good match. Thank goodness too, because I've personally found Okada's i mean, Danielson's dream matches against the you know, grandpas of do Japan uh to be mind numbingly boring and self serving. I don't know they've they've been bad matches. That one was a good match, and that's
really other than the pure matches that I saw on Ring of Honor. Uh. That's really my only exposure to Shabba and I really really really gave a lot of respect for him in that match. Now, obviously he's not a high flyer like Osprey. It's two totally different types of styles facing one another. I just think it's going to be interesting to see what in the world how they're going to pull this off. How is how is Osbury going to pull this off? How is Shabata going to pull this off? Do I
think they will? Absolutely? I just can't wait to see how they do it. So anyway, does anybody have like a spicy prediction that they want to share about Dynamite tomorrow night, something that's unexpected that may happen. Do you think that maybe we'll see a Matt set with Mercedes Monet, not for Dynamite, but maybe for Collision and I and I don't know if you've noticed this, and I want to get people starle this I'll go to Alex first.
Is Mercedes Monet ever gonna go on Collision? Because I've watched some interviews with Mercedes Monett after her debut. You know she's not on local TV. I've watched like two or three of them. She talks about Dynamite a lot. She's never mentioned the word collision ever. Do you think we're gonna see Mercedes Monet in the ring anytime soon? And is it possible she may show
up on Collision sometime? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say no. I think some people work it into their contracts, like we've seen House of Black, especially Malachi, Like he's never on Dynamite. I could see her just never being on Collision. Uh Like Okada, is he ever gonna be on Collision? If he's trying to go back and forth between Japan and the States every once in a while. I don't think he's on Collision yet.
Will Ospray think he was on just coming out against Brian Danielson, but that might have been filmed on a different day, right, Yeah, I am interested to see, especially these guys like Will Osprey who's flying back and forth to London and uh yeah, It'll be interesting to see how much collision appearances we get from some of these people are if it's going to be like a soft split with FTR and House of Black just on collision and everyone else
on both or only Dynamite. You know, he's flying back and forth to London. I hope he goes to the right London because they're doing well, hopefully London, Ontario. Yeah. I was like, wait a minute, my wife's thought by missus. My missus is an ear bro. Yeah, so but what do you think about it? He's osprey. Yeah, he's flying back and forth, delunded, but he's getting more sleep than probably at
the a w wrestler. Yeah, I think so, he's rusting. So so, anyway, anybody else have any kind of spicy prediction for Dynamite Tomorrow women's match comes down to Statlander and Willow, and Willow is helped to beat her in a way that breaks them completely up. Makes I think it's the only thing that's gonna be to make that match different. That's what's gonna happen.
I think that's I think he's I think, uh, that's where Statlander is going to go on her own and Willow is going to turn heel and I kind of agree that she that I don't think any of the brand new
signings will show up on Collision unless it's called for. And I think you're like you mentioned Kelson Ed always talked about there was going to be a soft, kind of a soft split where there'll be certain people for Dynamite and certain people for Collision, but they could be on each show depending on Like, if you have FTR win the tag titles, you can't keep them on Collision
by himself because that's just gonna make that too much like WWE. But right I don't know, I think that would be a great way to end that women's match tomorrow. I kind of agree with you, except I think it's gonna be the other way around. If anything happens, I think maybe Monea helps Statlander beat Willow and that that sets up a Willow versus Monet feud. So anybody else with a spicy prediction for tomorrow night, I'm not sure,
but I have been thinking that maybe I am seeing things. But whenever the Callous Family, whenever any of them wrestle, that painting that they have is always very telling of what is going to happen. I'm starting. Hey, I've started to pay more and more attention to it, And the positions of
the wrestlers in the painting seem to change. Where they're sitting, and if they are sitting closer to Callous, they win, and if they are sitting farther away, they're all there's a question about their status in the in the Callous family. Is there some kind of disagreement that we're not seeing, Like you mentioned that Tequesta looks gorgeous in that painting, their positions change in that painting. I'm almost I'm almost one hundred percent convinced. And the more you
you watch it and really pay attention to it, it changes. And some of the faces are still blank on that painting. So it makes me wonder who is coming into the Callous family and who is leaving the family? So and those and the positions of the blank faces also change, so I can watch their shoes again. Yeah, I'm gonna have to go back and look at the history of the Callous painting. Please docuse that's my wife prospect conspiracy is that callous painting? So, my god, I never even paid attention.
Don't make Callous bigger than he is. Let me know if I'm right. I'm almost one hundred convinced on this one. So take a look. I have to give it a look. If there's play faces, that means Callas is never going to go away. I have noticed the blank Spade blank faces. Yeah, there's plenty. There's plenty of people that have wiped out faces. It's just I've never noticed that the positions of the actual wrestlers. But then again, I'm always focused on you know, gorgeous to questa,
take my eyes off of that. Could that be Jericho and Sammy because they were could No, there's there's more to Okay, I haven't really paid attention. Yeah, there's you know, what shall we do with the empty places? You know? So yeah, I'm I'm almost convinced that it's happened.
I slowly started to watch the painting, and then more and more I started paying attention to it, and I said, you know, whoever's they change positions, and whoever seems to be closer to him seems to be the winning person at that moment, the winner of the match, or the one most in Callous's favor at the moment, that kind of thing. So, well, you know what Tomorrow night, I'll I'll eat talk. We're either going to go and say that absolutely just trumped us. I mean, she figured
it out. Unbelievable, you know, kudos to debt. Whatever we're gonna say. Look, she's such an idiot, she's almost as dumb as Kelson. Come on, we forget the look, we forget to look. Yeah, I mean I've not noticed it, but that doesn't mean it's not happening, you know what I mean. Yeah, yeah, I could be wrong, but I'm almost convinced on that. I hope, I hope that you're not wrong. That would be just so cool. Yeah, I don't.
I don't know if anyone else has paid attention to it, you know, like if there are other fans out there somewhere who are noticing it, and you know there's discussion boards about it or what I've just been seeing. You are the first person that I have ever seen have a conspiracy theory about the painting. We're talking some we're talking some the VICI cold. You know, this is like Angels evens, the Vinci Code and everything else wrapped up in
the one. I want to knew who the artist is that too, because that's a working every week. I thought this for a while. I finally feel peel at home enough here to let you all know that I've thought this about the painting. Don't have to worry about it. Are you wearing are you wearing a hat of people when you're thinking about that she belongs to Griffid? Or Yeah, we need to start like a mega thread on aw fan hub Breddit, just track track the theories. I'm looking right now, good
technic theory about it about that painting. So I'm looking at me. I don't know if it's the real version of it, but it looks like Will Hobbs is in the Judas position. I don't know if that's been covered in that before, but yeah, it's interesting. Wow, oh god, this is too cool. Everybody's gonna get off this podcast and everybody is wan to go look at paintings for some reason. Anyway, Well that's the show for tonight's ending on that absolutely crazy thing. I hope you're right that, I
really do hope you're right now. I hope you're right because I would be so proud of you. Anyway, it could just be a yeah, well movie painting may not be a coincidence, but we'll see ah Boy. Anyway, well, thanks everybody. This has been Ignition with the aw Fanhob podcast team. This is Kelson z Alex. Good night, everybody, night, Gush, good night,
