It's Tuesday. You know what that means. It's time for ignition with the aw Fat podcast team. This is Kelson, this is Alex and the first thing I wanted to talk about today. It's not a big story, but it is a story. And basically we had Conan on his podcast and I did God's work actually listening to the clip instead of just reading the headline. Heart Yes, I got to listen to my favorite Disco Inferno and his cutting
commentary on the wrestling industry. You are said that sarcastically though, right, Yes, Okay, I just want to go ahead like Conan, at least he's He's to my understanding, is like a legend in Mexico. I don't think anyone would say that about Disco Inferno in America anyways. So basically Conan
and Tony Khan had a working relationship. Keny Omega wrestled in Triple A. Conan as the booker for Triple A was sending guys like Alhi od Bi, Kingo and Commander to ae W. So they've had a working relationship, and I guess ty Kanti was being lent out from Tony Khan to Conan and Triple A and for whatever reason, Tony Khan had to use her on an aw
show, so couldn't sent her over to Triple A for a date. And this was back in when like twenty twenty two, right, yeah, this was years ago, I mean co Yeah, I think that makes sense. It was definitely not twenty twenty. That was definitely during COVID. It was during COVID. Yeah that makes sense. Yeah, So basically Conan didn't want to refer to tay Kanti by name and instead referred to her as some check, like, oh, Tony Khan is gonna lend me some check and then
couldn't. And Tony Khan, I think, rightfully, I mean not that some chick is necessarily offensive, but calling tay Kanti some chick as the leader of Triple A Wrestling is pretty pretty unprofessional as a minimum, right, absolutely, And to me, what's interesting about this story is more that it shows Tony Khan kind of from a different angle than what we have been conditioned to think of Tony Khan in terms of him sitting next to Cmpunk as CM Punk
goes off on his tangents during that horrible press conference, and this is kind of a different side of Tony Khan where he's actually standing up for female talent. He's confronting longtime veterans and professional wrestling, you know, pseudo legends. So that's why I think that this story is interesting to me, and I'm wondering, Yeah, Kelson, what you think or the other guys. Yeah, I mean, look, thumb chick was not professional as you said.
Yeah, I'm kind of one of those people that I don't refer to the women wrestlers in any wrestling company as girls, even I kind of I'm uncomfortable with that. That just me personally. I don't like when somebody calls them girls, even though it all due respect and admitting this, when you see men's wrestlers doing a promo for me, a w in the ring, they will say the guys and the girls in the back, you know, so thy say, I'm just saying, as far as me, I am not
a fan of that. But I don't think that if it's said in a using girls the term girls in a non you know, biased or a means of as a way of ridiculing a woman or female wrestler, then I don't really really see anything wrong with that. However, some chick, no, I don't think that that was right, And to me, it's water under the bridge. It happened in twenty twenty two during COVID, Tony Kahan said that the reason why he could not send Taei Kanti, which I mean that
was so long ago she was still Kanti. The reason he didn't send te Kanti was because the wrestler was supposed to wrestle for the show that he had already booked couldn't do it due to COVID, So he had to bring back what he could now would have happened today. If it would have happened today, then you would have had probably more women in the locker room that he could have called on that were healthy, cleared, have been tested, et
cetera. But back then, you don't know how it was working. And so I could kind of understand why Tony had to pull take Anti back. But and I can kind of understand why Conan didn't say her name, but I had the same token. I don't, you know, I don't quite agree with her calling him, calling take Anty some chick. That's my opinion. Yeah, and I think, yeah, kudos to Tony conference standing up
to Conan. And I guess that It's interesting because now we've seen cmll and and a W have this pretty strong partnership, and it's clearly, you know, the Triple A partnership seems to be done. Yeah. Yeah, like even the Lutri Bros. Seemed to have distanced themselves from Triple A. Yeah absolutely. I mean, Ray Phoenix just had a whole thing going with him that he couldn't wrestle, you know, due to Triple A. So we'll see, you know, I mean, look at uh uh who was it
that wrestled? Was it? I can't remember who had to wrestle on Uh who wrestled g F on TV with the with the no commercial break was No, it wasn't it was no. Was it Rouge that was because that was because of Triple A something going on there. So but anyway, let's get the other guy's opinions on this this uh matter, Maybe they can land some other thoughts. So so here's my thoughts. What the hell does it matter
now? I mean something two years ago is that the most that did I mean is Conan's podcast got to the point where he's got to bring up stuff from two three years ago. That makes absolutely, I mean slow news Week, but I guess. I mean, you know, you've got what I mean. That just don't make any sense to me. And honestly, there
this is not the first bad thing. Like a lot of the trouble they were having with U, Triple A and guys in the past was the fact that Triple A and New Japan didn't get along and they couldn't have certain guys work on certain shows if New Japan was going to be there because New Japan
worked with the other company in Mexico, so they weren't. I don't kind of like what happened with Rossi Agawa and Stardom when Rossi got out that all of a sudden started became available to work with a W and vice versa. Yeah, and and and and and that's that's all that tells me that there's a problem with Conan. But then again, he's hanging out with Disco Inferno, so you already know what the problem is there. So yeah, I I don't know. Like I said, it's kind of ridiculous that they're bringing
this up now, And uh, I think Tony handled it right. They're calling her some chick. This just that that's just stupid that don't make any sense. At all. Why you wouldn't want to say her name. Yeah, it's kind of well, I can understand that saying her name, but you say the woman that was was scheduled the rest Russell won't be able to
appear, not some chick. That's not like here. Not long ago they were supposed to have I think it was Triple A, uh, not Ray, but his brother Penth was supposed to go down and Wreussell and it ended up getting chant because of something that he had. He had to be available for a match, and it was you know, they mentioned that it was he was. They were upset because it was. They said, Penton, what's the difference. Why are you going to say a guy's name if they're
pulling him and not the girl's name. That makes no sense. I will say this, and you could agree with me or dot agree with me. But I honestly believe, you know, and I really do believe this that even in a private conversation somewhere, I find it hard to believe that Tony Kahan would ever use the term some chick. And I really do feel the same way about Triple H. I don't think that he would use the term
some chick. No, you know Fitts McMahon, Well, we won't go enough time to go there, but no, I mean it's it comes down to Conan. I think Conan likes the story of trouble wherever he gets a chance, and I think that that this goes the same way. They make a perfect pair that way. They're always looking to cause some kind of issue about something, whether it's an issue to be had or not. And I don't know. After two years, I'm like, man, you really must
not have anything to talk about. What about YOUBK, do you have anything on this? Uh? I'm not defending Conan here, but the way he kind of talks, I can see him using that that verbiage. Yes, it is kind of dismiss dismissive, but I really, you know, this is, to me is something that I wouldn't even commented on. I would have would have done it on. I don't know how Tony reached out, but there are ways to do stuff, and I wouldn't have went full bore
on it like he has. I said, it's water under the bridge, but it's not something that I that that piques my interest at all. So if I'm understanding you, you don't think that what Conan said was meant to be meant to be dismissive or meant to be a dig It was just kind of bread out of ignorance because he just didn't know better. That's the kind of thing you say different than anybody else. I don't know how to put
that. Get the way he talks, and he's probably raised that way of talking like that, But I don't think it was meant malicious at all. That's fair enough, and I can see that point. That's a really good point, actually, So let's move on, because we did have something that kind of sort of broke. It's been tossed around saying no, and that is that that WWEE and a W have both offered Stephanie Voker a contract.
Now, it's been argued that that is not the case, that she is signed with CMLL, but it has been pointed out also that CMLL is known to let wrestlers out of their contracts. But look, based on how Stephanie Vacker performed at Forbidden Door, that would be a huge get for aw It would be a huge get for WWE or any other company that signs Stephanie Vecker. So what do you guys think about Stephanie Vacker possibly leaving CMLL and going to WW or AWW. Look, this is an AW podcast, so obviously
we would be probably biased towards AW. But I do think that she would be a superstar on w W E or W whichever one she goes to. So I'm curious to see what you guys think. So based on the one match that I have seen that she put on against Monette, she would be the tough stary in either company. On the women's side, She's amazing.
She did an amazing job at the pay per view. The other thing I have an issue with is why if you work she's under contract to c MLLL and they have a working relationship with AEW, would she need to get out of her contract. All she needs to do if they want her to work here send her over. I mean that, that to me just makes no sense. Now, if she's going to WWE, yeah, she's gonna have
to get out of her contract because they don't work together like that. But well, one thing I want to point out to you, Sudden is that Stephanie did make a post a couple of days I think after Forbidden Door on Twitter or x where she did say how proud she was that she is one of the only women right now that are working for aw CL stardom and New Japan. She said, find me another woman that does that. I'll wait,
you know, do your homework. Frankly, there isn't any really, and if there, there's certainly not anywhere other than they're not they're WWE. No, and they wouldn't be. And that's the thing everybody else makes this big deal about. Oh, she would make a lot of money going to a the WWE. Yes, she would. In AWWE. She would have to give up New Japan, she'd have to give up stardom, she'd have to give up CMLL, and she'd have to give up AW So I'm sorry,
I wouldn't. I see no reason why I would do that if I was her, because it makes no sense. Yeah, And another post that she made, she also did go out of her way to say that she's not done with Mercedes Bonett and she wants a remap. So that sounds like she's leaning towards AW to me, I honestly don't think she's going anywhere. I think it'll stay the same way it is until her contract runs out.
Then she might move on but until her contract, which I have no idea what her contract is, and I don't think anybody else really does either. Maybe you could find it, but right off the top of my head, I would say she probably will stay in CMLL until her contract runs out and
just use the current relationship set up and do her thing. I may be wrong, but I could have sworn that I saw somebody, and I don't know how reliable this source is, but they did say that she had a couple of more years left on her CMLL contract, But that could be totally
bocus. I'm just say just something I saw, right, And that's the thing why I don't see a reason why, And from Aw's point of view, I wouldn't see a re and why i'd want to pay her big money when I can use her and somebody else is paying the bill, you know what I mean. I mean, that's that makes no sense. Well, you still probably have to pay her for her appearance, and it probably cost a penny penny anyway. So yeah, but if she's only going to make
one or two appearances a year, that's more. That's better than paying her five or six or a million dollars a year to be full time with your company. Right, Well, let's get the other's opinions on this. So I'm going to say, you know, if I was her, I would I would stay a free agent and just travel wherever you need to be. My problem with her current her coming up. I like her. I think she would be great, but Tony's booking sometimes puts her where she wouldn't be
on all the time. And that's my main concern about having her over here. And I also think that AW had AW had her in her contract, she would not be able to travel as much as she would like. Yeah, you know, some of the people get to go to here, there and everywhere. You know, John Moxa gets to go to blood Sport or New Japan, but they're not primary residents there, and she would have dominant storylines in AAW. But she pulled on Matt Cardona and just went wherever she
wanted to and made the money. You know, she could do whatever she wanted. She wouldn't have to stay firm, and she could travel the world and just have fun being what she wanted to be, no strings attacked. Let me ask you this, I k before Alex gets a chance of time
in so do you ever. See, Look, Stephanie Voker is a main event type star, okay, and she would be wrestling in AW in main event type matches for the TBS Championship, the maybe even something like next year's owen Hart and maybe for the World Championship Women's World champions as a free agent
or as a person that is from CMOLL that AW uses. I think AW is proven that somebody from another company is never going to get an AAW belt ever, So, I mean we've seen that at all the Forbidden Doors and other matches throughout the company, you know, throughout the time Dynamite Collision wherever. So do you think that Stephanie would Stephanie would be more leading toward not coming to do that kind of work in AAW simply because she doesn't want to
come and get beat all the time. Well, would you look at how they handle meant Mira, she she was used quiet well, even though she didn't win what we thought she should have get, she got used. And it depends on really what she wants out of AW deal. Does she care about having that title or she tailed titles in different companies, so does that really matter to her? Well, even with Mina Shirakawa. She did post to herself after Forbidden Door saying that she has not given up on the aw
Women's World Championship yet. So I thought that was interesting because the storyline was that the three of them, meaning Tony, Mina, and Mariah are now like good buddies, friends, sisters, and now Mina comes out and says she's not through facing that yet. So I think I think that with what
you're saying is a good point. But I think that Eddie Wrestler, man, woman tag whatever, they don't want to come to a promotion to get beat because then it ruined, it hurts their reputation with the fans, and the fans clamoring for somebody to come is based on that reputation, which means that the more they lose, the less money they're gonna get. Kind of thing. That's just my opinion. See, I don't see it that way. I think I think using the Forbidden Door example is not a good example
because that's a one two year pay per view. If she's gonna be if she was if she stayed in CMLO fault and they just use her in the things. It's a little different that way because she would be able to come in for more than just one night. If she was to come in and win this the tn T or the TBS title, she'd be able to stick around for a little while or come back more often than to just do it on a one night thing. Yeah, and I think if she was with
AW we've seen them lend wrestlers out consistently. But yeah, I kind of would like this year under an AW contract as an AW wrestler because then she would get that sustained push and could compete for a title. I guess there's a part of me that kind of worries, like because she's not like a great English speaker. She can't speak English well, but it's maybe kind of
like Rouche, where it's maybe a little hard to understand. So there's a part of me that worries that maybe she wouldn't be featured as well as she could be on AWTV. I don't know, because Mercedes Money is featured on and she can't speak at all. I mean, I can understand what she's saying, it might take her a little longer to get it out, but
you know, I'm sorry. Yeah, Yeah, I think, like Stephanie Vecker, she's a really like kind of a once in a lifetime talent, because I can't think of another Mexican female luchador wrestler that's really come out of Mexico and been successful off the top of my head, and she's already basically done that. Yeah, I mean there's not many. I think that's a really good point because there's really not that many. So you're saying she's a
will Osprey type person. Well, I don't think anybody's will Osprey type person, but she's definitely it's not maybe it's not that she's better, but with her style, she's doing things that a lot of American fans it's new to them seeing a woman be able to perform things that they've never seen before and do it it smoothly and fluidly. Yeah. Yeah, she's really like she's one of the top wrestlers to me in the world right now, and just
period, not like top female wrestlers, just top wrestlers. Like she's really incredible and I'm sure she'll end up with either AW or WWE, and I could see WWE really making good use of her. They've had good history of treating like the Japanese women wrestlers well so yeah, I think this sky's the limit for her. I'd love for her to be in aw of course, but well we'll see. They've spent a lot of money on Okada, will Osprey Monet might as well go for the clock. Yeah, yeah, for
sure. Okay, talking about new wrestlers, we had a Matt wrestler vignette. Maybe it's for a wrestler. There's also rumors that it's actually just for a video game. It was a clip of some guy jumping into a portal and the words hologram came on the screen and then it flashed quickly a wrestler that looked a lot like Arrow Star from I think Triple A and was part of Luca Underground. He basically had the same mask and in like arm things, shoulder pads. Uh. You must have paused that at the right time,
that that was a blip on the screen. Yeah, I thought it was a Green Ranger. It could be it could be Conan as Max Moon when he was in the w W Easton. It could be TJP who used to have a video game type character. But I don't think it's a wrestler.
I think think it's some type of project because I guess a couple of months ago, back in they trademarked some of this stuff at the top of the year, and Hologram was part of that, but it wasn't type in the same you know, when think of her wrestlers, I remember Jericho coming out to that type of programming type thing with save us or something like that, and it looked like Sammy. But I'm wondering if it's just video game we can create a superstar and they jump in the ring, or I would
love for it to be a streaming service. That that's not going to be it, but we'll see what happens. Well, look, we posted it. Somebody posted it on the aw fan pub subreddit, and people seem to be convinced that it's Semi Gavara. I'm not so sure, but I just wanted to throw that out there. Maybe he's not a wrestler, maybe it is just for a video game or some promotion. But yes, MK, you're right, they did, meaning a w did trademark Hologram. So if
it is a wrestler, that's probably gonna be their wrestling name. It'll be a great replacement for Gravity, I guess. So, I don't know anybody else have anything to say about this particular thing. It could be like Suicide was a TNA and what do you mean by that? He was their pop up star. That really was was was dressed as anybody they wanted to and they could use him whenever they wanted to. Yeah, it was like different
guys wearing the same hout fit and mask. Oh rotating. Okay, well, as long as it's not a w's version of the version of w CW Shockmaster, the version of Glacier. Glacier was really really promoted back then, remember that, And then when he came out it wasn't really it was anti climactic. You can't promote somebody. I mean, this vignette that they did
for Hologram was very short, very mysterious. But with w c W what they did it was Glacier as that made him seem like, Hey, this is a guy that's going to make whole COVID look like a kindergarten, you know wrestler, you know so and it and it didn't work out that way. He's he's great, Well, he's actually works with a W now he is a coach and a producer. That's confirmed. He's making his return to
the ring. He shall see. Well he has he's sixty years old, but he does still get in the ring, so he could be a very very strong possibility. Yeah. The one thing that's interesting about this, whether it's a wrestler or not, is just aw really hasn't done vignettes at least not often, especially not for something new like that. They're keysing, and we've seen that in WWE a lot over the years, so I wonder if this is at the beginning of something new or they're just testing it out.
They got quite a bit. If you go on Twitter or x whatever you want to call it, you go on to subreddits and stuff, it is getting talked about. It is getting talked about, so that's good. But I don't think people are at this point based on one vignette, are you know, over the moon excited waiting for the big reveal or something to that effect, you know. So I think that it's just gonna take some time.
On My worry is that they're going to handle it like they did with Glacier, and they're gonna have these longer vignettes and really pump them up to if it is a wrestler or whatever it is, pump it up to be something extraordinary and then it ended up being just another guy. Yeah, like if it had never done that before. Yeah, Like if it is Aerostar, he has had one match in aw before, he's almost forty, it
would be it would be like the re debut of Gravity. As you said, basically, it would not be it would not set the world on fire. No offense to Aerostar. Oh yeah, well it's gonna be interesting to see what Palista? What's that? It's Kalisto? He actually Samurai Dell Soul. Yeah, he was in the match with Aerostar. I did my research, but hopefully not him either. Yeah, he's going to research this week. What's it been. Calisto? He's famous for the Luca Things promo.
All right, he's the one that would run down to the ring and use the catapult to jump in the ring once and then they changed that because he didn't do it right. I think the production team did it wrong, to be honest with you. Yeah, I think that was Sinkara. Who is never mind, it was Sara, that's right about It was Cinkara. Yeah. I think he was the second attempt at making a new ray Mysterio. Also, it didn't work. Yeah, there's only one ray mystereo. Yeah,
and Sinkara actually was a big star in Mexico. Well, yeah, it is Forbidden Door as Mystico as Mystico. Oh okay, you do that right, that Sara's mystico. No, I didn't know that. Yeah, that is that is absolutely true? Is mystic Okay, that's okay. Yeah, so I caught up. Car has been on a w born in most of the CML, cmlund Yeah, yes, he's not too long ago too right, Yeah he did. Yes. Well, look let's move on because
we've got on Dynamite tomorrow night. We've got a couple of really I think that are really interesting matches, and that was sort of two Owen Heart Cup Foundation Cup Finals, the first one being and we're gonna talk about them both at the same time. I think that will work. We've got Brian Danielson versus Hangman Adam Page, and then we've also got Willow Nightingale versus Mariah May.
And I have to say that while most bull that I've seen talking about this believe that Hangman and Mariah May are going to win these matches, there can be something said for Willow and Brian Danielson also winning these matches. This is probably and I'm going to go out on a limon say this, and I'm going to say this with pretty good conviction. This is the third oh
and a hard Cup Foundation or whatever. People always say that they don't like it being called the Owen, but I'm just gonna call it the Owen. Hate me if you must. You could post that I'm a jerk on aw fatob on Reddit, but I'm going to go out on a limon say that the Owen this year, as far as the finals go, these are the least predictable and probably the most interesting as far as story goes, of them all. I think they hit the nail on the head by making both of
these matches for a world title shot at all. In So, what do you think about the Owen coup as far as I'm not Owen's cop, don't say it that way, the Owen And what do you feel about it? What do you feel about the Owen as a whole this year compared to the last two years that they had it? And what do you think about each of these matches? Anyone? Anyone? Go ahead, Alex, I'll let
you start. Sure, Yeah, like the female side of things is really interesting because Willow I don't I can't think of her other than the Mercedes Monet match that she lost, She's basically won every match in the last six months. Other than that, She's beaten Chris Statlander multiple times. She won the
TBS title over Julia Hart Like she's been on quite a run. She's been booked as probably one of, if not the strongest women in ae W and I can in like a match her versus Tony Storm at Wembley Stadium would be a huge main event women's match in my opinion, and she I could see
her dethroning Tony Storm. But probably the more likely winner is Mariah May beating Willow here and that would be the biggest win in Mariah May's career so far, beating Willow, I assume cleanly, and then that will set up a huge match for Wembley Tony versus Mariah, which will be even more crazy. So in terms of let me ask you this, do you think that with
Mariah May is the story better? Being that we've already had this long ongoing thing with Mina shir Kyle and Tony Storm and Mariah May plus Tony Storm was not born in England. She was born in Australia, but she grew up just in Liverpool. Basically, I mean she moved her grandmother lived in Liverpool. I believe it was that she moved to Liverpool. That's where she got interested in wrestling, started wrestling. Of course, Mariah May is from England.
Do you think that would just be a better match to sell at all? In yes, I do think that's where like the story is for sure, It's way more interesting from a story perspective if they did go with Willow here, they still have that story in their back pocket and they can tell it over a longer period of time. Maybe the Willow feud can lead to Mariah May and Tony Storm have a trouble with each other more so in both cases they could make it work. But yes, I would say that Maria
ma Tony Storm match is bigger in a lot of ways. And I think if Willow did fight Tony Storm at Wembley, it would be a lot more predictable that Tony Storm would retain the title because that Maria May match is looming in the future. And if if Mariah May faces Tony it's a lot more interesting because who would win. That it could go either way. Yeah. My biggest fear is that they're going to do what they did at all in
last year, make the Women's World Championship match a four way. I mean, I don't want to see Willow, Mariah Mina, and Tony Storm in a match. I just want to see a one on one match because I think that they could pull it off. Yeah. Yeah, if they need to do a multi woman match, do it with the TBS title. I guess yeah, don't do it here. This is a big, long term story they've been telling dot don't ruin it. So I don't have much faith in a Willow versus Tony's Storm matchup at all in. I just I don't
think she's ready for that high point yet. I think she's a unique wrestler. Willow is, she's she's good, and she's popular. But right now Mariah May is hitting this weee spot and I think the storyline between the two of them is going to hit the high point, and I think it's time for Tony Storm to lose that bill. I think she's had it long enough, she doesn't need it for her for a long amount of time, and she's told her story, and now it's kind of time for her to see
a downfall and see where it would go. And there's plenty of time to do it other that time. We're talking about that yet or not. But it's a good match and the storylines this year have really stepped it up. It's no longer predictable. Like you said, Okay, let me ask you a question specifically. So let's just say that Ria May wins tomorrow night and
goes on to All In to face Tony Storm. Here's another one of my fears, and I want to see if this is one of your fears as well, what happens if they go to to go to them all in Tony Storm and Maria May, Tony Storm retains who's left exactly. I mean, I see where you're coming from, but I just don't see Willow needing that title right now. And I don't think she's a top tier wrestler. So I mean, they're kind of a spot where either they move this story along
or they make us wait. And I don't see much story between between Tony Storm and Willow. I mean, I don't. I don't know what to say. Well, no, we'll get what you're right. The story is definitely there between Mariah May and Tony Storm, and it's not really there between Tony Storm and Willow as of yet. But if Willow does win tomorrow Night,
they've got a little over a month to set up a story. And I think Willow's really come into her own cutting promos, so I have faith in her and Tony Storm's ability to sell that and make that feel like a big deal. But I agree that Willow's stories like Chris Statlander, and that's probably what direction they're going with her. So yeah, probably, Maria,
here's the thing. Here's the thing. You spent six months almost working on a storyline building towards Mariah May and Tony Storm, going in Mina shir Kawa, who's not done yet, she'll be involved in this too. If you do not have Mariah May win this thing tomorrow night, you've killed that storyline because that's going to delay it a month. It's going to completely change what happens, and it'll die. And that's what everybody should be fearing is that
they do that, because you can't continue a story. What would be the point of doing all this build up for the mass they did at Forbidden Door, That that that didn't end how anybody saw it ending. It would make no sense to the end of the story. And there's absolutely no history between Tony Storm and Willow. I agree with both you guys that I don't think. I don't think. I well, I just kind of disagree. I
don't think Willow is anywhere near being ready for a world title run. I think Mariah made is more than ready because for me, right now, for me, right now now, she's probably probably the third, second, or third best, the first or second best female wrestler on the roster. No I could agree, I could argue that she's the best. Well I'm saying, but I agree with what you're saying, right and it would be the
perfect ending to the Tony Storm title reign. It gives her the opportunity to take that character to melt down, which would be the best way to end that character is not to just have it. Like you said, who's next? If she goes up against Willow, getting back to the Mariah May storyline is going to be damn near impossible. But there's there's just I just don't see Willow. I don't see what everybody else sees in Willow. Everybody talks
that she's doing better in her in her promos. To me, her promos aren't they're they're decent, but they're they're they're almost as if she's being doing promos as a heel. That's not a heel. She comes out like the last one she did last week. She was talking about when she faced Statlander, it's like, smile if you have to. But she didn't say it like she meant it. She said it like, you know, I'm getting tired. It was almost like I'm saying this because i have to, because
that's whatever expects. But I'm not that way, and it just doesn't make any sense. I think this whole I think they screwed this whole thing up. They really did. They turned Statlander. I still think they turned Statlander
Hill and shouldn't have. Statlander should have won last week because she's the one that's done more for the female in the company until every until they got all these other ones came up in the last six months before that, when she took the title away from Cargill, she did the most to get the women's division righted back the way it needed to be done, and then what happens to her. She gets turned heel and they throw her aside. That didn't
make no sense. I think if they ruined this match, if they don't give Mariah made this title shot at Wembley because she's English, Like you said, she's English and you're gonna have Oh yeah, that's the whole point you want. Like you know they gave Soirea the title last year? Why because she's English and they wanted her to have her title shot at Forbidden Door or all in so put the two English women in the title match. On that
who's next thing? We have so many women that are still out. Yeah, that's what you mean exactly we managed to get And I've been watching I've been watching a w from the beginning, and I get what Tony's trying to do with some of this stuff. But he does have a tendency when it comes to the women to throw a hail Mary pass that gets picked off and returned for a touchdown. He does it a lot when it comes to women's
matches. It's just how he's done things. But on the men's side, I'd kind of like to see Swear versus Danielson, But most likely that one's probably a foregone conclusion that's going to be Hangman just because of the unfinished business they have. Do you see something? I kind of agree with you a sudden I think that something is going to happen in tomorrow night's match where Hangman
is going to win it clean. But Somebody's gonna come out and get into Danielson's face, whether it's tomorrow night or very very soon, whether like collision or you're still thinking you think it's gonna be what's his I have no idea what the announcer. I do not think that it's Nigel. Oh really, if Nigel confronts him, Nigel's gonna confront him and says, I have a friend that could take you on. Nigel is never going to wrestle in a ring again. Who But here's my question for hope it does happen. He
has basically said that he's ready to wrestle, he's been training. Could be nothing. I have no doubt that Nigel is ready, and I don't have any any doubt that he could do it. It's just too much of a risk because of his condition, as simple as that. I mean not only and I don't think that they can let him do it. He's not going to be cleared and frankly, to be honest with you, the way it is right now, I would feel that on a big stage like all In,
it would be I would just be uncomfortable watching that match. Oh, it won't happen all In. I think you see they're talking about. If that happens, it'll be a it'll be Danielson's final match. It'll be the match that ends his career. The will end his career with. That's what they That's what people are saying that they see happening. I personally don't want
to see that either. I want to see Danielson. I want to see Danielson go to all End and win the title, get a six month run with it maybe, and then and the world at World's end give it up and that would be the end of it, and that's where he retires.
That's what I Yeah, I understand, Yeah, but sudden and and MKA I will make this point that you could talk, but Danielson's gone on record record multiple times saying he does not want a championship period, and did Sting, and so did Sting until Tony conn said, hey, guess what you're getting The tag titles don't care if you want it, you're getting it. So I mean, I know I've heard that many times. But before MK
hanging on one, say Tony Tony now calling you, Tony Kelsen. Do you know if Mariah, if Mina sher Cow is available tomorrow night, I do not know, because I can see her being there and that could be a way to start even if she's not there. They've done it in the past where it started them when Mina Sir Kyle had a match and startom they had. Tony Storm talked to Mina via a taped message, so that respect. Let's let let's let m K talk because we're talking way too much.
Were can talk about everything that other people may want to talk about. So here's my thing. On the men's side, I don't I think either way would be great, but for my sake, I think we're beating Danielson at one of the biggest pavor views. We'll put another notch in his belt to make him bigger. I don't. I don't have any problem with Hangman winning. I think there's a whole course of ways to go with that and makes him see it a little bit, and I think one day Hangman deserves a
title shot. But I think it's too soon for Swarre to lose it, and Dan and him and Danilson would put on the clinic. I really do believe that. I agree, And I want to say something here. Remember when Hangman and uh Moxley were doing their thing and they had like four matches. It got to the point where I did not want to see Moxley and Hangman. I was on this podcast, I said, I really have no interest in this match. You know that last match that they had where was
it a double or nothing? Twenty twenty three, I can't remember exactly where it was. You know the one where where Hangman are basically hung Moxley by a chain. Yeah with a match, Okay, that match On our podcast, I would saying, I really don't want to see this again. They've done it too much. Blah blah blah blah blah. Then I saw in the match, I was like, this is the best dad match I've ever seen in my life. I loved every second of it. I swear to
god, I've got I swear. I think I just wet myself. I don't know, it's just like, I mean, we're I just thoroughly enjoyed a match and I did not want to see. Maybe I enjoyed it because my expectations were so low. But that's my only problem with Hangman and Swerve. If Hangman wins tomorrow night, and I don't know if you guys feel the same way, like, Okay, so we're gonna do this again, Well, they've done it. Every time they've done that match has been great
and and almost each one better than the last. But can they keep that up? I think I think they could. I and the story they're telling now with Hangman as the heel and Swerve as the good guy, and Hangman's come back with like his scowl permanently on his face, I don't know. I could see it being like the Mariah May Tony Storm match, Like this has way more story behind it right now than what Brian Danielson versus Swerve has. Alex, let me ask you though that everybody else can answer this too.
Do you really see Hangman right now as a heel? Yeah? Yeah, I do. I think he's going to be more. I don't like he tried to kill Jeff Jarrett and well so would we all, Well, yeah, we would have, you know, a few weeks ago, but not after his hurt felt promo that Storytellers he became simply speaking of Jeff Jarrett,
I have a question after you're done, Alex. Yeah. And the only other thing I want to add is I could very well see Danielsen verse swerve at all out after because I think that's in Seattle if I'm not mistaken. But I could see that being like the follow up match rather than it being the all in match. And I was just looking on the internet. There is a hepatitis feed vaccine, so theoretically they could have Nigel versus Brad
Danielson if you know they get their blood tested beforehand. Gesture the vaccines are take it old, all of them. K want to say so, Jeff Jarrett has inserted himself as the enforcer. Does anybody trust him enough to be partial? I mean, could he screw of one of those guys out and then feud with them for a little bit, because look, they made him
such a sob story. He made people believe. I think it would be the ultimate He'll turn to use that and have him threw Danielson out of it somehow and make him a heel again, because he's a better heel than he is a face well, Daniels sending Jared at all in. Oh my god, that would be terrible. I know what I didn't. I didn't see I will never see Jeff Jarrett as a face period, end the story. He has done way too much to be on the evil side to ever be
considered a good guy. Even with the mushy story Eye and the story he told about Owen and all that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was a great story. And you knew he wasn't gonna win because when you knew, when you figured out who was coming in, you knew he was gonna get beat. It added something to the Owen, but that was about all
it was. If he's inserted himself in as the enforcer, I see him screwing Hangman and then them having a mini feud and then have like Alex said, have Danielson swerve it all all in and then swerve and hang Man it all out vice versa which everyone comes. I can't remember, but you know what I mean. That would make and Daniels said, yeah, I don't want to see Jeff Jared involved in this. I think it was a nice
moment. You know, they put some keep behind the match that he had with with Hangman, but I don't I don't need to see him keep being involved in this, so I'm hoping. Yeah. I mean it's the two outlaws. I mean that's something to go on. And I like Jared. I think that match was a very good match he had with Hangman, and I like to see some I don't know, I just think he At first, when Jared came in, I was not for him staying at all and inter wrestling, but he he grew on me and I think he could do
something. Yeah, I agree, he's grown on me. I think when you first debuted it was kind of like, oh God, why is here? And I have enjoyed him a lot more over time, but he's more of like a zero hour guy. I don't know. If I don't want him to be in the main event feud and Hangman's corner, that would be a little bit weird to me, but maybe they can make me believe. Okay, what's the next subject? What's the next subject? Did we hear Kelson's thoughts? I don't know, Kelson, if you're trying to chime in,
you're muted. Okay, So I'm sorry, you know, I didn't know we were done, but I before we go to I have a kind of a bonus topic that I want to talk about that we've not even discussed, and you guys don't even know what's coming. But before we do go to that, I have a special treat for you guys. It's only five seconds long and it's an audio, so everybody on listening will be able to hear it. So I got a cute up and here it is. This is Jeff Jarrett actually playing guitar. And here it is, right though,
it's only five seconds long. Ready, here we go. Pretty good, wasn't it? Did you guys hear it? Okay? Yeah? It was great? It was I called it's okay. Yeah, Well, of course you don't hear anything because there's no goddamn strings on the guitars. How are you feeling, okay, buddy? So here's gimmick. I am going to reveal that for the last thirty years that guitar has been a gimmick guitar. I never never realized. I never even thought about it. Well, you
know, flapping around everywhere, flapping of course. What I like. Let's say that Kelson grabs the guitar and hits Alex over the head, which I have honestly wanted to do multiple times, but basically it might hit you over the head. It would be like you'd hear it, you'd hear the you're here play at least sometime you'd hear like a twang. But there's nothing a couple of yeah, you know. But anyway, it's like sitting on a
piano anyway, except on Alex's head. Here's the I want to bring up a topic that it won't be a long topic and give everybody a chance to chime in here. But I want to talk about the purse of Serena deeb Uh. She had had a somewhat of a feud being set up with you Kaza Kazaki. Sakazaki gets injured, so they started having a feud set up between her and Rio. Rio fractured her arm this past week, so now she's out. So basically, if you want to get rid of a wrestler,
aw put her in a storyline with Serena Deep. They don't even have to wrestle, you know. It's kind of a shame. I will say this that there was a picture that was posted a workout picture, and it featured four people in the picture. It was Tymelo said Kanti so much earlier that now I forgot her actual last name, Tymelo Guevara, Sammy Guevara, Uh Kanosuke Takashida, as Mark Briscow would call her, call him, and Yukasankazaki and y Kazakazaki, you know. So it looks like yu Kazakazaki may
be working out. She did have her ankle rapped, but it was just a regular rap. She was in gain gear, you know, workout gear, you know, sitting outside the ring. There were fey Mellow was holding Luna, who was definitely given up big time. Ill vibes to me, so that that kid's gonna be problems when she does. Yeah, that the baby. But I just thought the picture was interesting to bring bring up because, uh, it shows there was a couple of things that have been interesting.
And I did some research on it and I could find nothing to confirm this at all, but I wanted to bring it up just to kind of get your reactions to this. Is that I've seen people saying that Yukaza Kazaki and can Oo Skate Takeshta are actually married. Wow, But I can't find confirmation of it. But that's what people are saying and if that's true, that's that's a pretty big deal. But they I mean, there's nothing on like on their Wikipedia pages. There's nothing on like anything cage Match, there's
nothing on Fightful. But I have seen other people saying that they've been together for a while and that they are actually married, So I thought that was interesting. But the other interesting thing, of course, is is that Tay Mellow is in the picture working out. I've seen her doing running drills through the ropes and stuff, and I guess I want to focus more on that,
really, I mean, you can speak about other things. But back in late May, Tello put down that did write on act that it's about she's about two months away from being cleared, which means at the end of this month that's the two months. So I mean, what do you think, you know, with Tay Mellow coming back, Sammy Guvar still hasn't come back even though he's been unsuspended, or they waiting to bring them back at the same time, you know, what do you think, what's what's gonna
happen with Sammy and Tay Mullow when they come back. Do you have anything in your minds as far as look with Sammy. I'm just gonna say it. Sammy's new gimmick should be that he has an axe and he just takes chops down the learning tree. That's all I want to say. That's it. You can even take down the redwood if he wants. But you know what, you know what's the learning tree segment? So you'll miss it?
No, because I have learned. Look, I'm a little older than you, Sutton, you know, and over the years I have learned that one should not beat their head against a brick wall and then complain to other people that they have a headache. And watching the Learning Tree, but I did watch it is like beating my head against a brick wall. They gave me a headache. I don't have headaches anymore because I turned the shit off.
You know. I don't want Samity to do good. People were joking around about that, about that mysterious video that he needs to come back rebranded, and they wouldn't have a problem with him coming back into the Luchador and not samp and Cavara. But okay, let me ask you this now at all serious. Now, if Sammy Guvara show it up tomorrow night or a week or two weeks from now in a full Lucidor costume. Would you say, what the hell is Sami Gavara doing at a lutator costume? You know what
I mean? It's not like it would be like, well, yeah, that's Semi Gavara. Well, you know, he likes anime stuff, and he and that suit kind of reminded me of anime. I'm not saying it's a good idea, but he needs something. Sammy needs a rebrand, he needs to stay away from the Jericho Vortex. And I don't know what to do with it because he's so controversial, he's so hard to work with. I just don't know what to do with him. But Tay, but Tay
mellow or I hope she comes back with a vengeance. I really think she has places to go, and I think she could be the star of that family. Sammy can do whatever he wants to, but Tay has potential to be something. But she keeps on. You know, there's injury and pregnancy and weddings and all that stuff she's been through, so she's right, she's due for something. Alls I've said is that putting a mask on Samy Gavar and saying, oh, you do't can't expect people to say, oh,
who's that. That's like putting a pair of hord hord drimmed glasses on Tay Mellow and say, hey, who's that blonde woman? You know, he just doesn't work. That would be horrible for Sammy because it would almost be them saying like, we don't believe Samy has a personality enough, and we're going to put a mask on him, pretend he doesn't speak English. Well,
here's the thing. He's Sabby's nickname is the Spanish God. He doesn't speak Spanish, so you would be a silent person because he can't speak Spanish unless he's taken lessons. But he would speak broken Spanish. So he would alienate the Spanish community that watches a W because then you know that there's a lot a lot of you know, Mexican and Spanish viewers that watch a W. But what would you do with him? I mean, how can you help him? He's he's been at the top, he's been great when he
had a tn T title. But I don't know the bad booking on Tony's part or what, but he just no, I don't I don't agree. I think sam has been his own worst enemy. I think he seems like a guy that gets along with people, but he also hasn't. He had like a fight backstage with Andrade. But but even worse was, you know, he brought his fiance out into the ring and proposed to her, and then and then like months later he was leaving her for Tyme Mello. And
that's really when everyone turned against him. And yeah, things happen in life, but to do it so publicly and then to think people are going to be on your side, it was just, you know, he in all seriousness and I'm that serious here. If you want Sammy Garvar to get over, whether it's a heel or a face, you start with him taking down the learning tree. I swear to God, that's just that's how you do it. That's how you do it. I think you need to stay as
far away from Jerick Ghost possible. I agree his his the problem is okay, yeah, what he did with this first girl, whatever, that was fine. Whatever he did it, it's over, it's done with him. In time, moved on, they got married, the baby. Now, his biggest problem's been he's been put in with groups that he shouldn't have been put in with he's much better by himself. He was a great TNT champion. He was he was doing his own thing basically when he was the TNT
champion. And that's where the problem comes in. When you put somebody in a grassle like look, look, let's let's like like look at the at wardlow wardlow did great for a little while by himself. But every time he starts to get built up, they put him with a group and what happens to him? Bye? He goes bye bye because they I mean, look at him now. He and he hasn't wrestled him forever, and when he does, nobody cares because he's in nobody now he's on he's like an also
ran in the unit in the Undisputed Kingdom. I think that that's his own fault, like he he's never been a great personality when he's on the mic. Like when they had that four way pillar feud, he felt like, wow, he's really like the bottom pillar for sure if you're and then he's always sloppy in the ring like you know him and will Osprey both do that like jumping cutter. Will Osprey makes it look great every time Sammy does it. It looks like the worst thing I've ever seen in my life, except
forst. Cody Rhodes was one of my favorite a W Yeah, I thought that was. Occasionally he strikeschol especially when he tries to like literally kill himself more than anyone else, jumping off a ladder to give I could probably do it once. My problem if you put him with the right music, I don't know why using Alex so much. You put him in matches against the right people, he could be easily be one of the top people. You put him in a few with Darby, well that might be that might go
against their insurance policy because those two would kill each other. But they could put on a hell of a show. You put him in there with some of the loocha doors that come in from other places, and he could be great. But sometimes I think the it's just he's not being put in the right situation. But where do we see Tate mellow, we see TJ come back, or do we see something else? I wonder if she gets blotted in with the outcast now that is with them. That makes sense? Yeah,
I kind of like that. That makes sense. Well, we're going to see it pretty soon. That's going to be answered pretty soon. I think I would not be surprised if in the next couple of weeks we do see Tate Mello show back up. So keep keep looking at the match cards for like the end of July, maybe the beginning of August, and see if we see something like ana J on dynamite or collision you know, in a in a match, you know, and I think that's going to be
the tell tale sign that hey we Basice m hmdustry. But but but it's it'll be if I do think that is going to get back together at this point, I wouldn't mind at all if I saw, you know, Ana j and Tay Mellow go to uh Stardom even and do a little bit of a run there over a couple of week period of time, you know, because stardom is they have a lot of shows. Just the other way to put it, they have a show like every three days. It seems like
it's amazing how much they wrestle. So Japan, but that's just me. Well, Japan did a lot for Jack Perry as far as his character, that's for sure. I think he was more over in Japan than he is in the American United States. To be honest with you. So anyway, well we'll see. Hey, you'd never know. We got, you know, a lot of stuff that could happen tomorrow night. We've got a lot of stuff that can happen in the next couple of weeks, and we'll be
here to talk about it. Uh So, tomorrow night we'll have I'll lead talk with the aw fat podcast team. And this was Ignition. Thanks for listening, everybody. This is Kelson. Good night everybody. YO, good night, Eddie Kingston. Wherever you are, New York. He's probably New York. Yeah,
