Episode description

Jordan Ax joins the podcast to talk about Owyhee Girls Basketball Program. Owyhee High opens next school year and will be the newest school in the continuously growing Meridian School District.

As the program's first head coach, Ax talks about the challenge of facing the unknown with the school still under construction and students deciding if they will attend. He discusses the challenges of playing at the 5A level with a team that will likely feature several young players. Ax also talks about working with state champion coaches Andy Harrington (boys coach) and Dane Roy (athletic director) in building a basketball culture.

Before being named Owyhee head coach, Ax was the head girls coach at Vallivue High School. Before that, he was a longtime boys assistant coach.
