I see Daily Game as a production of I Heart Radio. What's Up? As I see you're listening to The Daily Game, the compilation of motivational quotes I've collected over the years that I found inspiring and helped me through the game of life. Today, I have a quote from the sixth President of the United States, John Quincy Adams. Adams was a lawyer, senator, and congressman, and son of the second President of the United States, so you know, he was around a lot of games. This quote is, try and fail,
but don't fail to try. You gotta be willing to fail. To play the game of life, you know, you gotta be willing to fail. And I found out the cats that were more comfortable with failing were the better players. I used to hang around guys and I you know, when I started, I was nervous about talking to women. I was worried. I was around some cats that I didn't even think where it flies me. But they had no problem walking up and talking to women, And eventually
they caught some very beautiful women. They were able to catch because they didn't care if a girl said nah, They just brushed that off. Okay, all right, baby, I'm not for you, and they kept it moving me. I'm not even walking up to no girls, so I'm losing everything. Where they say, Gretzky, you're guaranteed to miss a pent of the shots you don't take. So at some point I learned that, Hey, if you got shot down, it doesn't matter. Stay in the game, and you have to
learn the failure. It's never an l it's always a lesson. Every time you fail, you might have to tighten up your approach, or maybe the person you're failing with will give you some notes. Hey, that approach was wrong. You should have had your paperwork together. The girl might say, damn you know, I don't like your shoes, or damn you know, I wish you know, maybe he didn't have on the right cologne. They're gonna help you get pointers
on those failures. So by the time you get your game tight, you've been shot down so many times you've learned. I'll give you a good example. We're doing a medical marijuana thing in um Jersey and we went to the board to get approved. We actually got our license, but what happened was the day we went we didn't get to go to speak because they ran out of time. But we watched a lot of people go up there and fail. Well what did we do? We took notes
on where they failed. So when we got to come back the second day because they postponed our ship, our ship was that much more tight because we were able to watch the failures and not make them ourselves. So we learned from some of these other people that weren't prepared. So yeah, we were pissed a little bit. Damn man, we were there all day. We didn't get to go up there and pitch our case, but was to our advantage. So you gotta understand. If that failure happens, you gotta
understand and learn from that game. But that fear of failing, nothing in life is ever gonna come to you. If you have a fear of failing, you just have to be willing and always shoot your best shot, try your best. If you're going to get that job, try your best. But you're gonna learn something from that. I can't emphasize how much this is important in life. To just get out there and take your shot, and keep taking that
shot every time. You're gonna learn something, and you're gonna get sharper and sharper and sharper, and by the time you get to where you need to be, you're gonna be ready. John Quincy Adam said, try and fail, but don't fail to try, and don't sit back and talk it about people that are out there trying. This has been another ice cold fact from me ice tea. Don't miss tomorrow's Daily Game till then, stay safe, stay smart, and stay knowing that failure isn't the enemy lack of
trying is. I see Daily Game as a production of I Heart Radio, Final Level Entertainment and Audity, and a Silent entertainment company. The show's executive producer is Noel Brown.
