to make a U turn. But sometimes that's hard to do because now it's like going out here and making a career change. A lot of people have picked careers in their lives and now they have to do something totally opposite from it, because this time has come upon them and it's time to change. When it was time for me to make the decision to go legit, the first thing I did was I went broke. I'm no longer getting money from illegal means, I'm no longer making
it on the streets. Then also, you got people in the streets, it's like, oh, you squaring up. I had to be gangster enough to say, yeah, motherfucker, yeah, I am squaring up. Kiss my ass, And still to today. You know, I'm on television. You know. The funny thing about it is, even though I've been on TV playing a cop all these years, the only people that come at me about it are squares. Oh yeah, you lost your street cred. They have no idea what street cred is,
and little to my knowledge, all the hustlers respected. They're like, ice, you made that change. That was gangster. You're doing something legit for your family and your wife and your kids. That's gangster. You're not gonna go to prison, that's gangster. You're the one that got away. That's gangster. They don't care what I'm playing on television. That's a job to the streets.
