I See's Daily Game. It's a production of iHeartRadio. What's Up to SiZ team. You're listening to The Daily Game, the compilation of motivational quotes I've collected over the years that I've found inspiring and helped me through the game of life. Today's quote is something I keep in mind to stay motivated and focused. I've never been competitive. I only set out to outdo myself. I think the most competitive part of my life was probably when I was

in high school. You know, I was in gymnastics. You know that's competitive. You're trying to outdo somebody. You know too harder moves than other people. When I got into rap, you have battle rap where you're trying to out wrap other people. But truly, personally, I learned that competing with

people can send you down a very dark road. We always said, you know, oh, if everybody you knew was in a room and all of them through their problems in the air, I bet you'd reach for yours on the way down, meaning I know who I am, but I don't know what problems you have. The guy that just passed me in the hood and the new roles, I can't compete with him. Because I don't know what's really going on in his life. He might have a

body in the trunk. I know what I'm doing. So once you get into this mode of competing with yourself, now you really can grow. I'll also say that life's kind of like go to the gym. You go to the gym, you look to the right, there will always be someone in better shape than you. But if you look to your left, there will be someone who would die to be in your shape. So guess what You're where you should be, and you just have to outdo yourself. If you can do ten pushups tomorrow, you want to

do fifteen. If you can do fifteen in a week, you want to be able to do twenty five. Then you move up to fifty. If you compete with yourself, if you set your own goals, you will advance way faster than if you're looking at somebody trying to parlay off of them. I had this one cat run up to me the other day. While it goes tell me you're wis tea. You know you ain't doctor Dre, and doctor Dre made a billion dollars on Dre beats. You ain't doctor. I'm like, well, you ain't Ice Tea, Like,

what the fuck you worry about me being dre. I'm not worried about being dre. I'm trying to be ice. So use yourself. Compete with the person in the mirror. It's a waste of time competing with other people. It's a waste of time. Unless you're in some competitive sport, it's a waste of time. Just out do yesterday. Out do yourself yesterday, you know, like the Buddhists say, grow like the tree silently just grows and it's gonna grow longer and forever. And you look around at Preece bigger

and bigger and bigger. It doesn't make any noise. It's not competing with anybody else, but it's just growing. It's keep growing, you know, don't be competitive. Being competitive will just have you in a negative space, a lot of waste of energy where you could just concentrate on outdoing yourself. This has been another ice code fact from me Iced Tea. Listening again tomorrow when I drop some wisdom on your ass till then, stay safe, stay smart, and stay stronger

than you were yesterday. I sees daily game. It's a production of iHeartRadio Final level Entertainment and Audity and a Silent entertainment company. The show's executive producer is Noel Brown.
