I See's Daily Game. It's a production of iHeartRadio. What's up to Sizes? Team? You're listening to? The Daily Game a compilation of motivational quotes I've collected over the years that I've found inspiring and helped me through the game of life. Today's quote comes from Perry Moore, a best
selling author, film producer, screenwriter and director. And this quote is special to me because of the capsules a moment in time that changed my life, and when I write about in my book Split Decision, which you can get on paperback right now, the quote goes like this, once in a while, life gives you a chance to measure your worth. Sometimes you're called upon to make a split decision to do the right thing, defining which way your life will go. These are the choices that make you
who you are. In my book Split Decision, I speak on how there's a point in time where I made a decision to basically stop breaking the law. I was in the streets, I was in trouble, I was doing a lot of how we say, criminal acts, and when I got the opportunity to be a rapper, I stopped everything. I cut everything cold turkey, and I had a friend that was with me wanting to be a rapper too,
but he continued. He was trying to just get enough money before he could stop, and continuing resulted in him getting a life sentence in prison, he had a twenty five to life commuted to it thirty five a life, which he did twenty six years on and when he got out, we wrote a book together about life choices. They say you make about thirty five hundred decisions a day. Technically the next word that comes out of your mouth
is a decision. Any decision can change the entire trajectory of your life, just one statement, one movement, one mistake. They also say, you know life is inches and seconds. You know, an inch to the right, maybe that board would have hit you in the head when it fell. A second later, you wouldn't have been in that intersection when the car accident happened. So everything is very, very based on decisions, luck, and just how life actually moves.
But we have to become much more conscious of some of the heavy decisions we have to make and realize that it can change the course of your life. And if you're out here with people that say, hey, I don't care, you know, let the chips fall where they may, I would not advise you to hang around them too long. You have to be around people who are very conscious of the decisions that they are making. We are all capable of making bad and terrible decisions, and sometimes you
just don't know. There's so many forks in the road. But sometimes something as simple as saying no when everyone else said yes could save your life. Not getting the car that night with your friend who he knows a little bit intoxicated, and you say whatever, you're in the accident, You say no, and you live. So start to take all your decisions more serious and realize that the simple decision I made in my book changed the entire course
of my life. And just as easy as he went to prison, I could have went to prison, and he could have become the rap star or whatever. I'll read this quote one more time because it's very important. Once in a while, life gives you a chance to measure your worth. Sometimes you're called upon to make a split decision to do the right thing, defining the way your life will go. These are the choices that make up who you are. This has been another ice Code fact
from me Ice Tea. Listening again tomorrow when I drop some wisdom on your ass. Till then, stay safe, stay smart, and stay known that one move can change the course of your entire life.
