Tyler Perry, a great man, drops some knowledge that I think you will all be into. This quote is there are people who come in your life sometimes to be there for a season. They weren't meant to
be there always. And it's true as you move through life, you're going to go through different transitions in your life. And that doesn't mean that the people you work with or deal with are meant to be there forever. That's like saying, when I started making records, the people that made those first records are supposed to be with me forever. No, they went on their own journeys. They made my records,
and they moved on to do other things. We could still be friends, but how would they be involved with me now that I'm acting. So that was a season, the season of Say the Iced Ta Rap Music. Then I've got another season with body Count, another season with film, another season with television. One of my favorite quotes is even dealing with people and love is Every love story isn't a novel. Some are short stories. And I think that's really really deep. And I tell that to a
lot of my friends. And when I say a short story, it doesn't mean you love them any less. It was just a short story. It wasn't meant to be gone with the win. It was meant to be a season. It was meant to be a three year period of five year period, but it wasn't meant to be your whole life. I'm gonna requote that. That's my quote. Some love stories aren't always meant to be novels. Some are just short stories. But that doesn't mean they were less important.
They were part of your life. With what he's saying is that just because someone was meant to be there for a season doesn't take away the value of it. It just doesn't mean they're supposed to be with you for the whole ride. I think sometimes we get caught up in that and say, oh, you a part of my life, then you should be a part of my life forever. Forever is conditional. We throw this word around, but it's really conditional. I think love is conditional too.
You know, when you're in somebody and you're in love, you're saying, hey, you know, we're going to be here forever. But really you're saying, we're going to be here forever under these conditions, under this level of respect, under this level of love. But if the things change and the conditions change, it's not forever. You know, if I say forever, then I start becoming a drunk and come home want
to bust you in your head. Well, the condition's changed and the love is not going to be there like that. So a lot of things, a lot of words we use aren't really literal, they're just at the moment. And a lot of things we do in life are for seasons and we all go through different seasons or Chuck d calls them quarters in the game, you know, the first quarter, second quarter, third quarter, fourth quarter. So it
doesn't take any respect away from people. It just means that you have to learn to let certain people go to allow to bring different people in your life for your next evolution.
