Resentment is one of those feelings that confester and grow and come out of you when you least expect it. And resentment is one of the most destructive feelings, more than jealousy, more than envy, because it can blind side and sabotage other people. Resentment is a deep seated
feeling that can take over your whole body. And the scary thing is that everyone has experienced resentment in some level. When you get into this, you feel that somebody is getting something that you should have got, or someone is getting more than you are, and it hits you in a dark place. You might have friends around you that you treat one better than the other, and they're not jealous.
They resent the fact that, oh wow, I've known him longer and he did that for her, or he did that for him, or she did that for him and not me. A lot of resentment goes on in families, parents, kids, They resent something you did for one or the other. It's deep, but like most things, awareness is the first step in managing it. You know, you have to understand, Okay, I feel a certain way about this, and I have to manage it. You don't need to let pride fester
into resentment. Real players are happy when another player ups this game. It just paves the way for more success. So say I'm pushing a TV show and I don't get picked up, but they pick up someone else's like me. Say they go to another rappers thing. I can't be jealous or mad or resent. I should just be glad. Hey, at least they put their show on. It just makes me have a better chance the next time. So resentment, hate, jealousy, It's all part of the same pool of being angry
about something that has nothing to do with you. It has something to do with somebody else, and it's how you feel about them or the victories they had that you didn't.
