Today's quote is from the great author and activist Maya Angelou. Love recognizes no barriers. It's true. You know, nothing can really stand in the way of love. Love overcomes everything. And love is a very, very strange emotion.
It's very strange because there's so many different levels of love. I think it's one of the weirdest emotions because it's so many shades of it. It's so strange. When it happens, everything goes out the window. As Maya says, it knows no barriers. You know, you could be a guy. You know, hey man, you know, man, ain't nobody driving my cars, Ain't nobody doing this, ain't nobody doing that? And you fall in love. Next thing, you know, you throwing her the car keys. You just doing all kinds of things
you said you never would do, because love makes you crazy. Now, I told people that's why they call it fall you fall in love. It puts you off balance and it has you in a different mental state. But there's different degrees of love. Like you could love your car. Okay, you can love material item, but then you can love your partner. But then if you have a child and you're looking at that child, that's a different degree of
love than you have for your partner. So it has all these different weird nuances and you could be love sick. You know, you can be loved without having love turn to you. So it's a strange, real, strange emotion that is out there. One of my quotes is passion makes the world go round. Love just makes it a safer place. Meaning what we want makes the world go round. The fact that we want things, that's what makes people.
Go to go to work. And you know, you have passion that drives people.
But love, when it's thrown in there, can give you a pass now and then because love is you don't want to harm things when you love them, you know. But it's a weird emotion, It truly is, and I no one's ever been able to put a finger on it because it's so many different nuances of it. But I know it recognizes no barriers when you fall in love it's like everything goes out the window, like it's a strange place to be.
Some people have never fallen in love.
Some people have never been in love, and they can't understand what crazy things it makes us do. But if you've been there, and you truly are there, it's a beautiful thing. But you can't really predict your behavior. You can't say, oh, I'm only going to fall in love with this type of person or this race person, or that's not how it works.
You know.
It was funny because my son's mother is Mexican, I have a daughter. My first girlfriend was black. Coco's white People's like, well you with white women? I said, I didn't really plan on being with a white woman. That was not my intention. I said, if a Martian had to landed and was treating me correctly, I'd be with some Martian right now. You know what I'm saying, I'd be fucking Martian pussy. You understand.
Because I did not expect or know what I was going to fall in love with.
