I See's Daily Game. It's a production of iHeartRadio. What's Up Sides Team, You're listening to the Daily Game, the compilation of motivational quotes I've collected over the years that I've found inspiring and helped me through the game of life. Today, I'm going to drop some knowledge from Apple co founder Steve Jobs. Innovation distinguishes between leader and follower. An innovator is the person that's going to think up the new things. They're going to be the ones that are going to

be coming with new ideas. The follower is going to wait on the idea, then they're going to implement and build out on that idea. But the leader is the creative one. They're the one that's always thinking of different ways, different ideas. And I know that as far as in my business. You know, becoming a leader, you know unwillingly, you know, you're just picked. Everybody looks at you like, so what are we going to do next? That's your job.

I mean, even if you have a group of friends, there's always one that's like, Okay, I've got the idea for the night. I know what we're going to do, how we're going to do this? And if something goes wrong, everyone looks at them. Now, some people try to implement themselves as leaders and they're not leaders. You know, They're like, I'm in charge, and they are usually fuck ups. You know. Usually a leader is voted by the group. It's like you're the best at You've been chosen, and we're willing

to follow your lead. But what jobs is saying that the innovator will have to be the leader, the one that's going to come up with the new ideas. So now you have to ask yourself, are you an innovator? Are you a leader? Or are you a follower? Now I know how to play both positions. There's power in both positions. There's power and riding shotgun a person that always has to be the leader. You know. They say that some people will sink the ship just because they

can't steer it, you know. So you have to understand what position you're in. So say, for instance, when I do my music, I'm the leader. I'm in charge of body count. I'm the guy that's making the set lists. I'm making all the calls out there on the road. When I do law and order, I'm the follower. I show up, they tell me where I what I should say, what I where, what I do. And I actually enjoy being a follower because, like I say, acting is the one job where it's someone else's job to tell you

what to do. So I can just walk in there and be like, so, what's up for today? They go where this stand here, here's some tape on the ground, stand here, And I enjoy that because I don't have to use my leadership ability. I can just relax. I can just be an employee, so to speak. They say, the head that where's the crown sleeps the heaviest, and it's true. So a lot of people out there is like, I want to be in charge. I want to run my own business. I want to do that may not

be the smartest thing in the world. You know, having a great leader and being able to work under them can be the best occupation in the world if you have correct leadership and you understand your job is important. So get away from that. I have friends that are like, well, if I'm not the boss, I don't want to be. I gotta be the boss. I gotta be you know, fuck that, I just need to get paid. I don't I don't have to fucking be the boss. Dick Wolf is my boss, and I've lived a great life. I'm boss.

I'm the boss in other aspects of my life, but it's not essential. So Apple co founder Steve Job says, innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower. I get it. The innovator must be the leader. The follower has to carry out the job. But I'm here to say there's nothing wrong with being a follower if you have good leader. This has been another ice cold fact from me. Iced team.

Listening again tomorrow when I drop some wisdom on your ass till then, stay safe, stay smart, and stay knowing that innovation can be one of the predictors of greatness. IC's Daily Game.
