Icey's Daily Game. It's a production of iHeartRadio. What's Up Side Tea? You're listening to The Daily Game, the compilation of motivational quotes I've collected over the years that I've found inspiring and helped me through the game of life. Today's quote is about what goes on inside your head. A person who is book smart and street smart is dangerous and will always find a way to survive. Don't underestimate us. Book smart is very important. You gotta know

what's going on. You gotta understand science. You gotta understand your math, you gotta understand your history. You need to know these things. You know it gives you an advantage. Street smart, more survival, more about the game, more about the slick ways people will pull things over on you. A lot of times book smart people get taken advantage of by street smart people. You know, Wow, I didn't know that that was going on. I wasn't aware of that,

and vice versa. A lot of times street smart people will get taken advantage by book smart people. I didn't know how to read the contract. I didn't know I needed a lawyer. I didn't know this. I didn't know that when you combine them both. This person knows how to survive and this person knows how to actually handle business and understands what comes out of these books. There's a term people throw around genius, but see this is a trick to that word genius. Nobody is a genius

of everything. People are geniuses in certain categories. Einstein was a philosopher into psychology and things of that nature, but doesn't mean he knew how to make a pizza. You have culinary geniuses, you have people that are splitting atoms, but that person may not have social skills. No one is a genius of every People are geniuses based on categories.

That being said, the broader you can span your scope as far as street and smarts, book, smarts, everything, the closer to an overall intelligent person, you'll be overall intelligent. There's people that can do math, that can land a rocket on a planet in thirty years and do the math to make that happen. But that same person may not be able to change a car tire. You see what I'm saying. So whenever someone says they're a genius,

say what category are they a genius? Okay, so I might be a genius as far as the streets, there's genius there. There's genius as far as people that are book smart. But when when you connect them together, then you have a dangerous person that is smart and knows how to survive. And I think that's a lot of my listeners out there. This has been another ice cold

fact from me, Iced Tea. Listening again tomorrow when I drop some wisdom on your ass till then, stay safe, stay smart, and stay knowing that being smart in school and on the streets it's the fastest way to success.
