Icey's Daily Game. It's a production of iHeartRadio. What's up to Sizes Team? You're listening to The Daily Game the compilation of motivational quotes I've collected over the years that I've found inspiring and helped me through the game of life. Today's quote is something I keep in mind to stay motivated. This one comes from a prolific American author who's basically has become a household name, at least in my house, James Patterson. If it seems like you're going in circles,
it's probably because you're cutting corners. I mean, you can't really sugarcoat this one. This is saying you are looking for a shortcut, so you keep having to start over again. You're cutting corners. You have to finish each task to the fullest. Every step that is required to accomplish this mission that you're set out for yourself has to be done in full. But if you keep cutting corners, and you keep looking for a shortcut, you will continue to
have to start over and over and over again. I was taught young that if you buy something that's cheap quality, you're gonna have to buy a lot of them. If you buy something in good quality. It might cost more, but you might only have to spend that money once. I'm not talking about a name brand, I'm talking about quality. So when you cut corners and you try to say, oh, this is an easier way or a cheaper way, you're gonna end up doing it over and over and over again.
I've learned this so many times in my life with trying to pinch pennies, saying oh, we'll get this, and we get that it's a little bit cheaper, and the damn thing broke in like six months or whatever. It just didn't stand up. I could have spent a little more money and had something of quality that would have stood to test the time. This comes with people too, if you're hiring people. We just had a situation with Coco's moms where she was dealing with somebody with her
dog and she decided to pick the cheapest person. Well, the cheapest person was a fuck up. You know, they say you get what you paid for. Sometimes you do. But she tried to cut corners and ended up having to stop in the middle of what she was doing with the dog and had to start again with someone else because she was cutting corners and it made her return back to the beginning, which is going in circles. I guess at the end of the day, the shortcut
doesn't necessarily get you there faster. If you follow the road that's been plotted out to get to where you're trying to go, and you do it to the fullest and correctly, you'll probably only have to take that trip one time and you won't continue going in circles. This has been another ice cold fact from me Iced Tea. Listening again tomorrow when I drop some wisdom on your ass Till then, stay safe, stay smart, and stay in
