I See's Daily Game. It's a production of iHeartRadio. What's Up be SiZ Team. You're listening to The Daily Game, a compilation of motivational quotes I've collected over the years that I've found inspiring and helped me through the game of life. Today's quote comes from a man who wore many hats, Sir Walter Scott. He was a writer, poet, advocate, even a judge. So you think this guy had a lot of jobs, kind of like me. Hey, when you got the wisdom, you're always on that hustle. Here's his

quote for success. Attitude is equally important as ability. Attitude is everything. Okay, ability is good. You can have the ability to do the job. But if you got the wrong attitude, I'm not fucking with you, and most people aren't fucking with you. I've got musicians I'm hooking up with other producers. They already know they got the ability, can they saying? Yeah? What are they like? That's the question. If I'm going to bring this person into my world,

what are they like? I just have an artist named Zaim I'm hooking him up with a big producer right now. First question, what's he like? I said? He'll sleep on the floor of the studio. Oh, that's dope. I'm a buying a plane ticket. Send him out. That's your attitude. Oh, he thinks he's a star, and you're gonna have to put him in a four star hotel. This motherfucker ain't even made a record yet and he thinks he's a star. And tell him to stay, you know, stay on that job.

He's working, you understand, But you have the right attitude. People want to help you. I used to always say, let's do it idea. I'm in a restaurant and I need to hire somebody. I'm with my boys, and this one guy comes over to me and says, hey, ice man, I want to work for you. Uh, he's taking his shot. I shouldn't be here. I'm smarter than that, I'm bigger than that. I'm a genius. I should be on you know,

I want to get down with you guys. Okay, he's making an effort, but he's got this attitude that he's bigger than this. It's another guy. I look over in the restaurant. He's down there scrubbing the floor with a toothbrush. He's working, he's getting his work on Okay. I bump into him at the bathroom. I'm like, man, I see you grind, he says. Man, Hey, man, I'm just trying to do what I gotta do. Man, I'm trying to take care of my family. You know, I like the

music business, but I ain't never had a break. Which guy am I going to give a break to? The one that's on his knees scrubbing with the toothbrush, the guy that's working, not the guy whose attitude says he should be on my level, the guy who's humble, and the guy who's really busting his ass. Mama say, well, if this is his attitude here at this restaurant, maybe he'll bring that attitude to the workplace with me. Walter Scott says for success, attitude is equally as important as ability.

I'll say it's more important because if you got the right attitude, I might let you learn. I might bring you into the game and help you learn. A learner's attitude is better than somebody thinks they know it all, So adjust your attitude about this shit. People really want to help humble people. They not into helping people that think they know it all. If you know it all and why you ain't there. That's how we look at it. If you know it all, then what the fuck you

need me for? This has been another ice cold fact from me Iced team. Listening again tomorrow when I drop some wisdom on your ass Till then, stay safe, stay smart, and stay knowing. Your attitude predicts your future just as much as your ability. Icey's Daily Game. It is a production of iHeartRadio, Final Level Entertainment and Oddity, an asylum entertainment company.
