IAIS, Baitalamanah, and the Embassy of Sudan in Kuala Lumpur published a Policy Brief No. 4 entitled โ€œStrengthening Malaysia-Sudan Ties: A Pathway to Peace, Stability and Mutual Socio-Economic Prosperityโ€.ย

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Despite the ongoing conflict and crisis in Sudan, Malaysia is well-positioned to establish a strategic partnership with Sudan. This potential is rooted in a longstanding historical engagement, high mutual trust, and robust cultural diplomacy between the two nations. However, Malaysia currently lacks a clear policy for addressing conflicts in Muslim countries such as Sudan, Yemen, and Libya. This policy brief aims to contribute to developing a strategic framework, particularly for Sudan, to help broker peace and rebuild nations.
