I haven't watched the news for a year and a half and it's been so much fun. Is it selfish? Yes. But I don't need to hear about every minor crime, I don't care about everything happening in politics, and I don't really want to know too much about what's going on with the economy. I'm not saying become a zen monk and retreat to the mountains far away, but if you want to keep up with the news, maybe just thin about what you're genuinely interested in rather than just absorbing everything that's thrown at you
