Welcome to the I'm Still Fun Podcast. We won't have a new episode next week, yeah, because you are going to be in bad I am abandoning the ship and yeah, and I get back tuesday, but then we have like Juneteenth off, so at that point it'll just oh, that's right. Yeah, are you what is the weather report of the lakes, because I know you've been watching to make sure that they're like beautiful and clear and was there still ice or something? Yes? Right, So Lake Louise completely thawed,

which is great. Moraine Lake still have like tiny bits, but it was like enough clear that it's fine. I think there will still be a tiny bit of snow on the little beehive hike that we're doing, but there are some like Lake Agnes, which is like part of what you would see. I think there are still some frozen points, but I don't think it's going to affect us in any real way. And honestly, it'll probably just be nice. We won't be sweaty, and I'm thinking and hoping it'll just

be less busy, which'll be great. I know it'll still be busy, but I think it'll be I think we'll be very happy and we're really excited to go. I know, I'm ready for a vacation. I've only taken off two days this year, and I've already talked about that. I know, like to some people, that's probably a lot, you know, but I feel like mentally, I am ready for a little recharge. I also just want to say that, like, yes, that is probably a lot

to certain people. And I'm sure there's a lot of people who work in an office setting and they go in every day, but I just feel like the working environment has changed so drastically for so many people, Like we have to be at the studio every day, and we have to be on every single day. You know. It's like there's just like so many different jobs you can do where you kind of have the opportunity to like not have to necessarily be on, or you can be at home and sweatpants and stuff.

Yeah, and that's just like not the case for us. So I just feel like, but then there's also, like I say that, there's like doctors out there saving lives working twelve hour shifts, So it's like I can't compare it. We can't really comparels to someone like that either, for sure. But yeah, I'm i think because it's like I always say, it's funny, I will get a little like creatively drained, you know, especially since I mean it's June and you know, you haven't had a lot of

time to recharge. But I always say when I go on vacation, like literally the first day or two, I'll immediately have a bunch of ideas for a show. It's like, because I don't have to yep, that they can actually come to me more organically than sitting down and be like, think of something. You know, we need something to fill the four o'clock hour or whatever. So I do always feel just like creative on vacations, which is really nice. Yeah, So how was your weekend? It was good.

It was kind of busy. I went to the Noacon concert on Friday night, and I did get the tickets to the radio station, but they were probably some of the farthest tickets away from the stage you could get up in the noseblaze. Yeah, and I do know that we're spoiled where we have gotten tickets from the radio station before and they're much better seats. And Andrew and I were just talking about like a concert really is a different experience

when you're like so far away from the stage. And also like I don't know if the X changes all their TVs or if it's like up to the artist, but I swear that his TVs were pretty small that he had that were the side ones. Yeah, And I just swear like when we did jingle Ball there, the TVs were way big. But maybe I'm maybe that was only my perspective because I was like running around by the stage and stuff.

But so the concert was good and everything, but I just I was so tired because I had to do a work like event in the afternoon after work and it was just kind of go, go, go, from winning to the next. So there was that leaving the X, a girl was

so intoxicated. She was leaning up against like near Seventh Street truck park on what was seventh and I don't I didn't know what was going on because all of a sudden, this guy's like go that way, and I wasn't paying attention because it's just crowds of people and there is just vomit everywhere, and I stepped in it just the slightest because I didn't know what was happening.

It was just like a little strain of it. It was mostly like consolidated close to her girl, but that she I felt so bad, Yeah, because she was like hunched over and her friend was holding her up. And like, I know, I used to be like a crazy party girl myself, but like I pray that nobody ever saw me in a situation like that because it just was not good. Like she had had too much. So that was that. And then yeah, just had like some crazy events happened

this weekend. Andrew got in a car accident. Oh God, she's okay, He's totally fine. The other person's fine as well. But it was just a messed up situation because we were at Stanley's in Northeast. We had lunch, and we had both done different things before, so we drove separately. And he had parked on the street, which is kind of a busy street in Northeast, and there's cars behind him and in front of him.

He's about to pull out, there's nobody coming, and then this other car turns right onto that main street and that car can't see him pulling out because there's cars he's like parallel parked in there, huh. And then he doesn't see them turning right onto that street. Because it was right next to that corner for the most part, and so they just like sideswipe them, hit his bumper, his whole bumpers like ripped off, and anyways, nobody was

injured. That's a good thing. The shitty thing was just like the reaction from the people afterwards, because Andrew was really cooperative and respectful and said, let's exchange information and all this stuff. Well, this woman's husband shows up

and accuses Andrew of lying because he called the cops. And the cops are like, we don't come to the scene anymore, like they don't have the man power, I don't think yeah, And so the guy's accusing him of lying, saying he didn't call the cops and that's not true, and he's going to call the cops. And Andrew's like, cool, go ahead and call the cops. They'll tell you the same thing they just told me.

And then his wife told him that a female was driving, and Andrew's like, I don't know what you're talking about, bro, Like I'm the only one here. I'm in the car, like whatever. And I had turned around because he had texted me like I got in an accident, can you

come get me? So I turned around and I was there, and then I went to go sit with him in his car as he's talking with his insurance company, and this guy's like recording and he's recording the car and I had the door open and he comes in and he like puts the camera like towards me and was like, and she's in here, and I go, no, no, I was not here. I was in a separate car. I just showed up. I'm just sitting in here with him. And then Andrew's like just pissed. At this point, he goes and slams the

door shut. Honestly, he like rightfully. So he got like actually angry with this guy at this point because he was just being a dick. Like Andrew was being respectful, he was giving the information he needed, he wasn't lying about anything. And then the guy's like, well, I'm gonna like get the camera footage from the restaurant, and we're like cool, get it, please do because you don't see that, like literally, I was not there, your wife, unfortunate whatever. It was his car and the end

and under his name and his insurance and everything. So I think he was just like frustrated because he wasn't there and like she got on this accident whatever, but it was a true accident where like really nobody could have been at fault. It was just a such an unfortunate collision of cars going at the same time that neither of them could see. So that was like kind of

took up a bit of our Saturday because whatever. I was maybe going to hang out with some girlfriends that night, but I was like so tired, and yeah, I had done some stuff earlier in the day with a girlfriend. So that was kind of my weekend for the most part. But how was yours, so you have the wedding, Yeah, I was very busy. Friday, we went to Lake Monster Brewing, which I have never been there. I've been there once or twice. I didn't drink, but it

was like a really cool spot to go. It's so interesting how all these breweries are tucked into like almost these industrial spaces. It's so interesting. It's very cool. And then Saturday was it was exhausting, which is funny to say because I'm not the one getting married, but I was in charge of the flower girl. Yeah, you were with no help. You were her little assistant. Yeah, for the day, and you know, I get it, like that's what happens when you have kids, but like I'm trying

to keep her clean. I'm trying to keep you know. And I also entertained. And then it's like what time do we leave? I don't want to get her there too early to distract people, but she has to be there for certain photos and to get her hair curled and things like that. So then we got there and it's a lot, you know how like wedding timelines are. It's like you get there, you get dressed, you get photos, you wait, then you have the next thing, and then you

wait. And I just felt like I was just telling her no. And then I Jake had charged her little we have like a little cheap knockoff fire kindle or iPad something that we only use on airplanes, so I gave it to her. And then there's another flower girl and that's younger, and the whole time, I just felt like I had to be like, we don't normally give this to her. Yeah, this is just like and they no,

it's fine. I'm like, God, I feel like everyone's judging me because I'm letting her look at it, which is so funny, because why do I feel like I need to explain myself. It is a busy day. I'm sure they get it, like we never bring that out in restaurants or anything. And if you do so you can have a meal. I don't care. Yeah, but so then the wedding itself. I've said this before. Jake has the most fun family of all time. They looked fun,

a safe. Yeah, they don't leave the dance floor. They the moment the first dance starts, they are on it and they don't leave. Like that's the thing about it's crazy, Like my family, the older people will start trickling out. Nope, they don't leave the venue and they don't leave the dance floor until the wedding is over, like truly over. And I'm like, I'm sitting over there on my back hurt. It's like on a chair, Get you back up. It's sometimes you when you're dancing.

All of danced, all of us there till like nine thirty ten, and then Dylan took her and my mom home and then yeah, we just kept going because I knew I would. I couldn't leave that one early because Jake had to stayed till the end. Jake gave maybe the best best man speech I've ever heard in my life. Did you did he practice it on you ahead of time? No? I knew the store he was going to tell in the beginning, but Jake is such a good speaker. It was.

The beginning is hilarious because so Laura is a very dry sense of humor person who will call you on your shit, and so she always jokes that Jake makes everything about himself. So he was like, I've been told by Laura and others that I tend to make things about myself. So I'm going to tell a story about Davy as a child. And the story is one he's always told. It's funny. Davy's one Jake is eight. Davey starts choking

on plastic. Jake had watched Endless Rescue nine one one. The hand of God took over his body as he slapped Davy's back, and a pretty pretty princess piece flew out of his mouth, and he saved Davy's life. He's like, I wouldn't call myself a hero. Others did. Grandma ran through the house screaming, Jake, save Davy, Jake, save Davy, and everyone is dying laughing, and then he's like and basically the reason we're here today is because I saved Davy's life and so didn't make it a little bit

about myself, you know, that kind of vibe. And then he did

his thoughtful portion at the end. And Jake's dad passed away when he was nineteen years old, and so since Davie is, you know, seven years younger than Jake, he was pretty young, and he uh started tearing up quite a bit and could barely get through it, and I think everyone else did too, because it's difficult because Linda, Jake's mom, is remarried, and I have to imagine that's a tough position to be in because Charlie, Jake's dad was so beloved by everyone and like all the family, and so

the whole night, everyone kept coming up and like could not cry. Linda's family not just like you know, Jake's dad's side of the family, because they loved Charlie so much and like how special they thankful they were that he brought him up. And I had said that to Jake, I'm like, you need to make sure you talk about your dad a little bit, because Davy got the least time with him, and like, I just feel like it would be really important to him, and so it was so lovely.

It was five minutes. I thought it was like the perfect length. And the DJ actually came up at the end and he was like, dude, I come to weddings all the time. He's like, your best man speech was probably the best one I've ever seen. And he's like, and you didn't even have a piece of paper. He's like, I don't know how you did it. Wow. And Jake was like, thanks. The DJ, by the way, Jordan yea DJ. Jalie. He recommended him because

I had recommended Jollie and then he I think his sister was graduating. It was like, you know, a year ago, so he recommended this guy. This guy was so freaking good. I was like, he did the coolest mixes. So anyway, it was the best time. Exhausting. We yeah, and then all of how to Dance recital on Sunday? Did you guys, wasn't the wedding in Saint Paul? Yeah? Did you drive home? We did not. I didn't. I only drink two apparall Sprits drinks because I felt they had brasa. Oh my god, it's such a good

choice. Yeah. For food, but I don't know what it is with me. I like so blowdy and gross feeling on like vacations and apparently at weddings. So I was like, I can't even drink I'll feel gross. And I also didn't want to get drunk because I knew a I would probably get more tired, right, So I just didn't. And but we stayed at like the it was called the Essence event Center and a Best westerns right

next to us. We just went over there, crashed, woke up super early, drove home, and Jake's cousin is staying with us because he lives in Chicago, but he works with Jake Now he's twenty years old. And yeah, so he stayed last night and he's staying tonight and leaving in the morning. So your girl's tired, Yeah, burnout tired. Like I mean, weddings are so fun, but when you're like that involved and it is a long weekend or however many days of activity is I returned to the linens

today. That was my outside of the wedding duty. Nice, so got those returns. Yes, I am a blessing, Jenny, Truly, you are a blessing. You are a blessing. This is why, like, I don't know Fallon and I have like this strange just a friendship, I would say, because the first thought I had after I just got done getting my ass handed to me at this flight class was make sure you take a picture of your crotch sweat and I send it out to Falan like it.

And I don't have other friendships like that. So you are a blessing because I was able to send you this picture and I did your water break jesus mind you. Like people are still like exiting the class and I'm trying to set my phone up on some weight stand thing and I'm like whatever, And my my trainer was the one who did the class that day because she co owns this gym. Yeah, and I was like, DEMI don't mind me. I'm just trying to send Falent a picture of a crotch. Yeah,

obviously. And then and then you pull out your phone to show someone a picture, and as you're sliding through, I'm like, I get parent and I'm like, oh, is this gonna be the weird set of photos? I took this in too, Jenny or Jake, because you would send that to Andrew also, but Yeah, that basically is what our friendship is. It's like we can really truly share just about anything with each other. And I was going to text you, but I just didn't know if you'd be

able to respond right away. So I just was like, I'll just ask her on the podcast. Because I went to Trader Joe's after that class, and I was intimidated because it was just like a busy time at Trader Joe's and I was just like, I'm like trying to stroll. I'm trying to take my time and kind of examine things and see if I can find something

new I might like. Yeah, but I was like, I need to ask Nolan for some recommendations because you've been a TJ's hoe for a while and I've only become one as of like the last year, and I still don't have my bearings. So give me some of your favorite Trader joe items. Thank you for asking. If we're in the Ridgedale location, I will walk you through. You walk into the right The first meat I'm going to suggest is the carnate asada. It's pre marinated. It's so effing good. We

thinly slice that. It's put it on tacos. It is Chef's kiss delicious. I also like like getting salmon there, and I like their sausages. I do like a sweet apple sausage and that's what I chop up to like do mixtures with, like the cauliflower yochi that they have. Okay, as we're traveling through, yes, I will then stop in the veggie areas if they have it. They have a sweet potato hash. Lately they've only had

their spring hash. Sweeptato hash is perfect for meal prep because you can add like ground turkey to it and I literally out grad that's all I add to it, and it's meal prepped for Jake. And I will add like maybe rice, but usually we don't even add rice, or we'll put like an egg on top if we want it. It's so good. There are two dressings that I love. Their ranch is a little dill heavy, so if you don't like dill, don't get it, but it's really good. And

then they have a cilantro dressing that's perfect. It's so fresh and delightful, So I put that on like any Mexican dish. Any like salad pretty much. And another thing I like to do in Trader Joe's is get their shaved Brussels sprouts. They have panchetta, which is like already in little squares, and then they have goat cheese crumbles, and I'll cook the panchetta, set

it aside, then cook the Brussels sprouts in that grease. It's not a lot, and then I'll add the panchetta back and put the goat cheese on. And it is like a restaurant quality side as far as like I'm gonna have great like little trail mixed packs and stuff. But then if I'm going the freezer aisle, we always get the white frozen rice. It's so easy to throw a bag in the microwave for three minutes and rice I haven't.

I mean, I think I've probably done the white rice. But I got the brown rice recently, and I'm so lucky that I had gotten it because I was making a recipe and I had bought just like your bag rice that takes you know, fifty minutes to make, yeah, and I forgot about making the rice ahead of time, and I was like, thank god I have the frozen Trader Joe's rice, because I otherwise we would have been waiting to eat for like another hour and a half. We go through so much

of it. I love their sweet potato and yoki they have too, It's like in a butter sauce. It's really good. They have these like eight French flatbreads that are like by the pizza, and there's like a ham one and it is so thin, like it's almost like a cracker crust. It's so light. It's so good. I'll add one into that because in the same section, so have you had their barbecue chicken pizza that's in that I

actually I haven't picked that one. That one has really good macros if you count your macros in terms of high protein, not too bad of a fat percentage, and like carbs. So I always get two of those because Andrew eats a whole one on his own, and then I get one and share mine. That's great. That they have little Dutch pancakes now that are frozen. They're already pre made. They're like thicker ones. I get those. They're so easy to eat it for all of them. They're so good for

us too. They have I mean you can get like that kind of like garlic and stuff anywhere now, like the frozen little cubes of it. But over on the edges side, I like the shrimp, the breaded shrimp. I'll put that like an a pasta dish sometimes, and then they just have regular shrimp that I'll add to a lot of different things. And I try

to avoid the desserts because they're too tempting. And then they, I mean, have great sides too, but I only do like a I usually do kind of more of the fresh produce and then they as I swing around. The best dessert to me is always the Brookie. It's like a chocolate chip cookie on top and a brownie on bottom. Oh, I don't think I've seen that, dude, It'll f you up. It's like in the it's so good. Yeah. And I always get a loaf of their sour dough

bread. It's just it's good, and we like to I like to do that for like avocado toasts. Yeah, I'm trying to. I mean, I could go on and on. There are so many different little things I get to make meals. Like a healthy bowl that Jake and I do is we'll get the like the rice, I get a bag of arugula. I get there fresh Bruce shetta. It's like buy the salsa. And put grilled chicken on it and then do a balsamic glaze on top with like little pearl

mozzarella balls. It's the easiest, like little like dinner. Yeah, but yeah, I am a trader. Joe's Ho you are, I know, and you've been going for a while, and I feel like I've seen you post things every once in a while on your Instagram. So I was like, I could never remember, and I'll see people postings and I'll screenshot them, but then I'll never be able to find that screenshot again. Yeah, I mean it's like, oh but yeah, I'm like slowly building up my

faceavorites from there. I get a lot of the same things, so that like they're they've got a really good beef that's like low in fat. It's like I lean beef, but it's kind of expensive so whatever. But these like pretzel slims have you ever gotten there? Like they're like your pretzel chips, but just once again, the macros on it are pretty good. Oh and then I also like to make ground turkey a lot, just like always

have ground turkey meal prep. Yeah, and then they have these one burritos that are great, so I'll heat up one it's just like heat up in the microwave for three minutes. Throw that in with the because there's not meat in it. It's just beef and or not beef beans and I don't know, there might be cheese. And then I throw in some of that ground turkey meal with it, and it's super good if you like kind of like

the goldfish cheese it things. Their version is like little rocket ships. I don't know what it is, but they taste so much better than goldfish and cheese. It they're so good. Yeah, those are for olive and then I'll have a couple of handfuls and then you don't have to explain yourself. Andrew used to like quote unquote nanny. I mean he watched his niece like every Monday for the first couple of years of her life, and he had like gold a giant, like Costco sized bin of goldfish in our cabinet that

I constantly ate. Yeah, so I was like whatever. I met some of these too. The best chips, maybe a top five chip for me is there. Also it's their corn chips and it has like their I think it's a low taste seasoning, but I don't know what it's seasoning. It is uh huh not healthy in the least. Yeah, but I love, like my favorite chip is like a chili cheese free doo. So it's like a corn chip with like a seasoning on it, and it's so good. Oh my god, it's so good. I don't buy it because I could

eat an entire bag. Oh my god. Speaking of Andrew, and I ran to the grocery store last night just to grab something to grill for dinner. And you know, we're keeping it healthy. We're getting some chicken and mashed potatoes, and then we're going to do broccoli. Well, he throws in a bag of the dot that are like cheetos, you know what I'm talking about. Okay, Well, we're have dinner, have a lovely healthy meal, balanced, you know, and then we're watching Survivor again and he

goes and gets the dots. I had some, don't get me wrong, I have some. He finished the whole bag, and I feel he said he has to. He said, he does it so you can get out of the house, right Dots that, yes, he does. He says he has to just eat it right away because then it's out of the house. But those are like not small bags, Like I think a lot of chip bags nowadays, like there's so much air in them, or like they're a shrink. What's it called shrinflation or whatever. Yeah, so things have

gotten smaller, but those Dots bags are not small. And I go and I look over at him, and he's like, man, there's only like three handfuls labs. I think I just got to finish them at that point. Yeah, And I go when I feel the bag, and I was like absolutely shocked because the last time my hand was in there, there was

so much And I'm like, what happened in the last fifteen minute? And we're remind you we're laying in bed watching Survivor on the TV and anyways, that man, I swear to god, he is just you know, he likes to be active and he stays active. But I swear one day it's going to catch up to him. That's why Colt says he's on a strict diet. He had a goldal is twenty five pounds before our boat cruise on the twenty second Yeah, and way too little amount of time. But he

said the thing he misses the most is couch snacks in the evening. He's like I just want a couch snack so bad. I'm like, yeah, I was like, I have to actively avoid couch snacks myself, like after dinner, Like, I'm just I have to. I am like, I am your stereotypical person who can eat healthy up until about seven pm, and then something turns in me and all of a sudden, I'm like, hey, oh, chocolate chips right now? Yes, a spoonful of peanut butter.

Cool. Like, I just it's so wild. And I know that there's probably some kind of like truthfully disordered eating of like involved in that. I get that, but I just think we all do it. It doesn't everyone wants, Like doesn't everyone want just like a cookie or a bowl of cereal or bowl of ice cream or something. It's like in the evening, you get through your day and you're like, oh, I felt so good all day whatever, and then you just like have to have something else.

I mean, Andrew and I went to DQ at like Great Choice nine pm last Sunday, I think, or maybe it was a little bit before that because they probably closed, but it was like eight pm, and I was like, let's just do it, baby, Like we never do stuff like that. I'm like, let's just go get a blizzard, and Andrew gets a large and I'm like, that's like bigger than a pint. And of course does he eat it all before the melts. Yeah, he does.

I had to put mine in the freezer to refreeze it because I'm weird, Like, as soon as the blizzard starts melting, I have to put it in the freezer to refreeze fully, and then I start eating again melt each Genny. No, I don't because I'm not a milkshake person, and then it becomes more milkshaky to me, and so I can't. I have to have it, and I love the sh so that makes sense. Then. Yeah, going back to Trader Joe's real quick, we all know that the

people that work there are great. Yeah, and I just had one of the mo delightful cashiers when I was just there last week. Yeah. The man just he had like an Italian accent. He was probably like in his fifties or something, just so chatty. And then I learned about his life.

He like codes all day for the University of Minnesota and then he comes and works at Trader Joe's a shifter too during the week because he just likes to talk to people, and I was like, yeah, that's perfect for you then, And if he's working in coding, he's probably not having a lot of comos like that. No, he wasn't. And he was like, well, how's your day doing. Did you have to work today? You know, just like so so chatty. And then another girl comes over

and maybe she just knows because he must not go as fast. But they also are so helpful there. So she was another cashier and she starts begging my groceries for him. Yeah, and I was like, she probably knows she has to help otherwise his line is going to be like take forever. Yeah, but yeah, it was nice because I feel like it's been a while since I they're always so nice, but usually they'll like have conversations, and it's been a little while since I've had a solid conversation. One other

question. Yeah, but not to keep going back to Trader Joe's. So you know when this episode is brought to you just kidding to right like spots damn it. Yeah, you know how like you'll have a you can go get an individual protein bar, or you can get a pack or whatever. So the individual ones are like fucking three dollars or some shits. Usually it's cheaper to get a pack. Well, these ones that I eat, they're called barbells, and you can get on my Trader Joe's the one flavor I

like. The only thing that was available was the ones where it was like individually packaged, but there was a package underneath that box that hadn't been opened. But they all had that where they had that package underneath, and then the box on top of them where you grab one individually, and then the row above it had the actual boxes. So I grabbed the box that was underneath the individual ones, and I was like, I don't know, I

don't think that the barcode would be any different. They're not going to like hunt me down and be like, ma'am, you can't take those. Those are for individual sales. So I took that box and I was like, screw this. This is the only part where it's not the only flavor I like, but it's my absolute favorite flavor. So I just grabbed that, and I was like, I don't know why, I like think about so many things in life that I stress about. I'm just sitting there at the

cashier waiting for them ma'am, you can't be taking the box. That's for individual whatever. Oh god, yeah, I don't think they're gonna get on you for that. I think they would like literally just work around it, because it's how they are with their customers. They'd be like, you know, normally don't do this, but for you, we'll do it today like that. I figured I could have just asked and they would have been like,

yeah, take it like you would have been fine. But it was because I didn't ask that I then started feeling guilty and like I was like they knew. Yeah, they were like this fucking thief. Oh that's what they were doing. They were trying to chat me up a little bit longer so they could call the cops. Side note, Jenny and I both love the new Sabrina Carpenter song So Good and the music video too Please Please Please is what it's called. Even though I accidentally put yes, yes yes on

my answer, I was like, what is happening? Jenny realized I had still didn't know you told me. I was like, no, it had been yeah for a little bit. But Jake is now obsessed with it too. I got him into it. He goes, I'm suddenly a Sabrina Carpenter fan. I was like, congrats, welcome. Yeah, she's a treat, She's a delight. I'm so happy to see this trajectory of her career because finally, what I was gonna say when I started on the Morning show,

I remember being at the Mall of America. I don't know who would hosted an event, but someone had hosted an event where she performed. And I know it was so long ago because micro old web guy was there and we all went out and grabbed like appetizers with her record label rep and stuff, and so that was like seven years ago. And it's like I thought that she was great back then, but I was like, I don't know, like she couldn't get a huge hit. It's like she kept trying and

she'd get like smallish hits, but nothing like that like Espresso. Well, I guess Feather we did play quite a bit, and then there was like one other one. I can't think of it off the top of my head, but I am so happy to see it finally, like she's getting like obviously really good songwriters on a team now and stuff. So do you think that it has to do with Taylor Swifos tour. I think it probably helped a little bit for saying a little bit more attention to her, but I

think she was already kind of getting there, right. But I think that never hurts to have Taylor Swift behind you, for sure, I know. I just yeah, it's been like fun watching her and I feel like, also maybe just because I didn't pay attentioner though, she's kind of come into her own like personality. Oh, she's like a she to me, she's like an Ariana Grande. She's like a little dirty yeah, which I like, like, I feel like dirtier though. Do you think it's because she

dates the guy from Saltburne Berry, No, I think she. I think she is like a lot of people, and she probably just like wanted to get rid of the Disney vibe. Yeah, and she's doing it in like a more PG way than I guess Miley did technically. But then Miley came back around to like just be universally loved again because you can't deny her talent. That's true. She has a talented she's so good. Well, I

don't know, Jenny, what do you think is that it? Yeah, Well, I'll just say this because I know some people listen to this and they might not necessarily listen to the morning show, but so I did talk about this last week. I just want to say real quick that it's been a year since my little sister had her stroke. I saw that, like I went and write her posts because you shared it. Yeah, and so if you read it, it was like interesting because she'll tell me things every

once in a while. But I think so basically she recovered from her stroke. She had a stroke, and if you don't know the story, we had no idea what was going on, and we truthfully thought that maybe she was like really high or something, which is not who she is. But she also had gone through a really bad breakup before, and so she was just kind of down and stuff. So we were like, I don't know, maybe she's high, but her words were all jumbled whatever. So she

goes my mom takes her to the er. They find out she has a stroke, which is crazy anyway, because she's very Yeah, she was twenty seven or twenty seven or twenty eight at the time, and so she, you know, she's airlifted to another hospital. I'm in the Twin Cities. I drive to Wisconsin that day it was just a very very obviously scary time for our family for a couple days, and you know, they never found

out what caused it. But basically she had these blood cloth this blood cloth that caused a stroke in her brain, and because of that, her words just were really messed up. And she started doing speech therapy immediately after. She was in the hospital for a few days, and then she couldn't you know, she couldn't do activities, She couldn't do physical activities for a very long time. They told her she can't drink for at least a year, and all of that was fine, whatever, and so she went through her

recovery. But then when she she just did this like post after a year of recovering from this, and it was interesting the way she put it. Basically, when she speaks now, it's almost like when you're trying to speak a foreign language, you have to think really hard about the word, Like it just doesn't come as naturally to you right away when you're like learning a

new language. And it's kind of where she's at still, where like she I haven't heard her miss mess up a word in a while, but my mom will give me updates every once in a while because she lives with my mom, and she'll just kind of say like what she's seen in her and stuff, and she's doing so so much better. But it's just like I think there are going to be lingering effects from it, like the rest of her life. Luckily, we did at least sign out that this isn't something

that's probably going to be happening to her often. We don't have to be constantly watching out for her to have another one. But I'm just like happy that she obviously is doing well because the year, yeah, we had no idea what was going to happen. Scary and I mean, yeah, fellin. I think I had like I had got home for a few days and I was like, okay, she's come home from the hospital. There's nothing really I can do here. I'm going to come back to the show,

And so I drove back. I had plan on coming in the next morning, and I just like broke down and I couldn't do it. I was like, hadn't slept, I was so tired. There had been like so much crying in those days. I'm just like very emotional, so like me too to see, like to see someone that is so young and like something so crazy happened to them, and then watch watch them like trying to do the most basic thing like pointing at an umbrella a picture of an umbrella,

and they don't know what it is. It was so fucking scary for me. Yeah, and so I just was like so drained and whatever and like not to get even more deep. But then also my older sister had a miscarriage like that same week, and she was in her second trimester. So it was just a really tough time. And so Fallad called me, like I was supposed to come into work that morning, and I had texted them at like four in the morning. I was like, guys, I can't.

I am like not well, like I just need one more day to like recover. I'll be back in and so whatever. I came in eventually, and everyone's doing well and everything now. But yeah, it was tough for a while there with the fam, and I mean it's still like a process with Katie and learning and stuff. But I'm just happy to say she's doing well. Yes, absolutely, me too. I like I can't even imagine it's yeah, and you're still trying to like maintain a job and be

distant and you know you and I both have gone through this. When someone's going through something in our family, we live so far away, we feel very helpless. Even if we were physically there, we couldn't do anything. You just feel like you feel like a bad person, like you're not doing your part, and like you don't want them to think you don't care. And I know you mentally struggled with that as well, even though you know, again there was nothing you could do. But that was obviously a very

difficult time. And when I saw her post, it was eye opening the ayt that she's still struggling with that, But I was like so happy to see it's been a year. I feel like some distance behind her with it, I know, and I think like, obviously we don't wish it upon her to have ever gone through it, but it's like opened her eyes to

certain things. I mean, she has realized how insanely bad the drinking culture is in my hometown, and like she's not allowed to drink so like every once in a while, the doctor did say, like you can have like a glass of wine at Christmas whatever. Yeah, but she doesn't even care. She's like, I'm good not thinking like she is like she'll have a drink every once in a while, but outside of that, she's like,

I'm good drinking mocktails and doing whatever. And so she's kind of like trying to see what might be next for her because she's just kind of ready to get out of our hometown and try something new and whatever. So, yeah, just a little quick family life update you. Yeah, I'm glad you shared that. Yeah, awesome, anything else from you, Nope, not for me, but I'll see you in four weeks. We'll see in two weeks. Yeah, sounds good. All right, have a good one. Thanks for listening.
