Episode description

Senator Pete Micciche from Kenai was not going to allow the Alaska State Senate to go back to a bi-partisan coalition again. He knew that is not what Alaskans wanted as they had just elected 13 Republicans out of 20 and that was more than enough for a majority. Despite the wide divergence of views within members on nearly every issue, he stuck to his guns that the platforms were worth fighting for and ultimately, it came together.

Micciche is now the Alaska Senate President residing over a Republican Majority and he is our guest today on Family Matters.
