Interview with Georgina Avilez IG: @iamgeorginaavilez

Georgina Avilez is the senior program director for Mother's Against Drunk Driving and is also one of the co- organizers for a monthly community mixer that takes place at La Placita Olvera. Georgina is in the process of writing her own books, one being dedicated to her dad's recent diagnosis with dementia. In this interview she talks about how she started her career, overcoming loss, being an introvert with an alter ego, the importance of storytelling and community organizing. Prior to this interview Georgina had sent me a letter that is dedicated to her loved one, it represents her healing process, grief, self realization and self acceptance.
