Interviewing Atziri aka Jacks IG: @Barriodrive Jacks and Yajahira are sisters and the owners of Barrio Drive (previously known as) Adelita's Apparel. Barrio Drive is an undocumented, Latinx owned brand based in Los Angeles. The brand is inspired by Jacks' and Yajahira's love and pride for their culture communicated through creative designs and prints centered around self love and the many layers of communidad; immigration, Virgen de Guadalupe, our love for pan dulce, mercadito tiger prints and the complexities of intersectionality. In this episode we talk about Jacks' upbringing, being the shy kid, DACA, community, being unapologetic, the growth of Barrio Drive, the name change, and Freeing Palestine.
