For thirty four years, I saw a side of life the average person is never exposed to. I was a homicide detective and catching killers was what I did for a living.
They told me that my daughter was dead. She'd been shot dead by police. I remember saying to them, you've made a mistake. Obviously they hadn't made a mistake.
I'm no longer just inter viewing the bad guys. Every week i'd take you into the world of crime, with guests from all sides of the law joining me to share their stories.
I was only just sitting there at home, having dinner with my missus, and then within a night or two, I was on the truck heading out the park.
I remember walking into my cell. All I could see was cockroaches all over the war and I thought, I can't believe this is jail.
I was thrown with solitary confinement. There were no beds, them in a mattress, there's no pillows. I would hear the sounds of other prisoners screaming.
The stories are raw, honest and confronting.
That's because no one who comes into contact with crime, is left unchanged.
These are three kids that have called miss in Australia on one Street and no one cares.
