I mean it was just, uh, just turkeys running all over the place. Man, they refused to be cooked. No. Um,

it was good. Every So everybody had a great Thanksgiving. Everybody's happy. Um, and it is. We're still kind of on time with Gilmore because did you guys see that it was. The pumpkins are still there, but they added turkeys. That's definitely like in football season. Yeah, football season. It's Harvard Yale. I don't know about you, guys, but I'm feeling a little down today. I don't know what it is. So I had from the turkey. I brought one. I brought my own. I think you need to show the

bigger reveals. Guy. Huh, wait a minute, wait a minute, and guess what. There's actual alcohol in here. There, there's actual and you can see there's a dent in here. So you know that this flask. I've taken this flask with me across the planet. I mean it's been with me a lot. But there's alcohol in it. I don't drink alcohol, So what's in there? Yeah? What what do people? I don't drink ALCOHOLI that what do people put in there? Tequila? No? No, no, no, I'll tell you what it is. It is, um, it's

I gotta tell you, this was one of the most enjoyable hours I've spent in front of a screen. Not a lot. Actually, um, yeah, I kind of do too, did we Well, let's not even go there yet, but let's go ahead and break this and before the synopsis, yes, we got the previously on again, so we got to me. I thought it was to remind us Digger is going to be important here and

Marty is going to have some significance. But I think it's for a lot of people that are discovering the show for the first time. They're tuning in for the first time, so I think the network wanted to sort of try to catch them up a little bit. Oh wow, Yeah, I think that's one of the reasons. Is it also because it wasn't like exactly last like, it wasn't recapping last week. Things happened like earlier in the season. Yeah, that it was kind of giving us some reminders of

things that had happened a few weeks earlier. And the only other thing I Daniel can tell us the date if maybe there had been a few weeks without an episode, so they wait Scott. Scott's like, I don't drink and suddenly downing that flaw could be a fun podcast. Wow choose? Okay, boy boy, all right, let's you want to synopsize or

oh yeah, it's synopsized. Huh. There's a season four episode nine, Ted Couples Big Night Out air date November two three, November two thousand three, so we're like, just a little bit, we're almost right on the same dates, and the synopsis is Luke has hired new help at the diner. Oh

that guy. That guy Richard, Emily, Rory, and Lorelai attend the Yale Harvard football game and run into an old friend of Richard's while tailgating, richard husband telling her for thirty nine years painful, and Laura lie Bale is on the game to go on a date with Jason. Rory spots Paris making out with a Yale professor. My number one word to describe this episode, what word much awkward? So much soul that I'm going to take another nip off the Harvard So yeah, wow, what was the most awkward?

Know that ending had to be I agree Michael York Parents. That was just like, you know, I don't know, I think because I knew it was coming. I was just like, yeah, yeah, that hit me in the face like a Scott in Danielle tell us everything because we knew. So we're we're the virgins here, daniel Why did you think, Oh, that's how the show goes. Oh, now I get it. Like I thought the episode was over and donned and then

I'm like, what just happened? Like literally my mind was blown and I'm like, you're gonna leave on that, Like it took everything in my body that depressed play to the next episode. Ay, the second that you saw Paris sitting in the dinner or the cafeteria whatever it was with um Richard, did you know it was coming? Because I course, because I won't give anything away. But for me, meeting Logan is such a major thing. And this has to do with when we meet Logan. What you just

gave it? Gave it up right there. I mean I gave away nothing. There's nothing she did like you want to be able to like even put that together. I'm going to need a drink. So, Scott, what did you think when you saw that utter shock? Just utter shock. I didn't know how to feel, you know, I wanted to I wanted to rip my hair out, I wanted to tear my teeth out. I didn't know what to do. I was confused. And were you like, oh no, or ill or wow? Like what did you think? All of it?

All of what you just described? It was it was it was do you think my eyes I can't see that. I wish you they could see the notes I took this episode because everything is lower case, lower case, lower case, and the last line says, oh my god, oh my god, Oh my god. Parents huking up with teacher in all caps, an old teacher, not even like not even like a young teacher. That dude is Richard Gilmore's age. Yeah, but that's Michael Yorke. It will be forever young. Um. And

do I know Michael York from Austin Powers? Did I? Y? Yeah? He was in a lot of They did a lot of Shakespeare movies. He was at the center of some of them, a lot of them. But it was, it was, it was. It was the most jarring. It was the most jarring moment I've ever experienced, don't it was. It was something that was something. Yeah, it definitely on the rewatch is different because you fully know the minute they

meet that it happens. And so yeah, there was no no shock for me other than just like, in fact, it influenced me buying this shirt. You're all, I do not want Yale. No, I was gonna buy the Yale, you know, the all cheesy and you know, have the Yale in the whole deal. And then I saw that scene, I'm like, yeah, inappropriate, hole. We got another like you know, Max Medina kind of thing happening here with a younger version of I mean, it was like, what's going on?

What's a million? It's all going okay, So we'll get to all that. But should we start with Froggy? Because I want to I want to ask. I'm gonna take a poll here of you through three very distinguished ladies. Um, if somebody walked up to you at a restaurant or a diner and said, what can I get you too cheek is? How would you react? Would favorable? I would like to get me a new waiter. If he could remember my order, I'd be cool with it. I'd be cool that if he could remember my order. But I

knew he was not going to remember that. By the way, I thought Lane was spectacular in her little scene when she went up and just wailed out him for giving her she wants to work at the diner, and that Luke's Diner is one of the few approved to Mrs Kim. I don't care about any of that. I thought she cracked me up when she went in and said, get it right, now go. They both have holes. But she got a little Mrs Kim on him, didn't she fall far from I like that. I like the whole everything

Lane in the use. I want to see Lane transform into her mom now. I want I want her to turn into it. They should do an episode just like one episode like what the heck? Or she's like Mrs Kim and they say snap out of it or something. Here, Wait, so is Froggy's real name is Brennan Lewis? Okay, and you've hired him and you were just you were so happy that I actually thought it was Nicole making you happy. But I was too. I was happy to learn it wasn't.

Don't read too much into that place because it says something about Luke we don't want to hear. I love the hovering that the diners crowded, They're like, let's hover, and then they moved the tables together and she's like, I'm gonna make him dizzy with this. How don't make you feel to see Luke happy and just sort of a regular guys nice for a vacation. You don't meet him forever, forever. The cinnamon butter and the pumpkin pancakes. The love, that's why the people go there. It's the

love right in the butt napkins. U don't even get to it yet because we're not there yet. I'm there, okay, we are, There're okay, so we're going out of order. Two hours after that, I was cleaning my house and started cracking up at Luke saying, what is a butt napkin? Whoever wrote that is a freaking yes. I mean listen. Overall that, it was a fine episode. It was beautifully directed, it was beautifully written, and it was just man. I didn't want it to end. I didn't want to leave

the football game. But once we got once we got to the restaurant, I was pretty happy because I liked the atmosphere. I like the vibe. I like what was going on? Does anybody think that's where Michelle was working. To me, that was that China Palace is definitely the same set, were meant to be the same hotel or wherever Michelle has been working. I could have repurposed it, Yeah, definitely, come on, yeah, yeah, but anyway, all right, so yeah, let's let's go ahead and we're going out of order.

I'm gonna yeah, okay, so we've got the opening. We meet for Aggie, we are, Luca is happy, and then for anybody would you like then? I was so pleasantly surprised because Richard was at Yale. We go. That was amazing. He's so when he's element Yeah m hm. That was very touching. It was a very touching moment. He lived his whole life for this, and his granddaughter is there enjoying that day with him. It was one. It was a nice moment in the show. That's what the show

is about, right, that's his family. There you go. I don't remember the exact line, but it was sunny, something like you are a honey tongue devil, aren't you? Did? I mean, yeah, talk about going out of order. That happens. That happens there. So when they're in the cafeteria, she says that, and I'm like, paris Is, Paris was amazing in this episode. Yeah, she was. This was like this is where I feel like we see Paris in her college element, like this is where it starts. Yes, and

she just comes on hot into ash Or Fleming. So what did you think, Scott when you saw Michael Yorke? Were you like, oh, what's the kind of going to be doing? Well? I was having so much fun with the episode at that point that he was just an added bonus. It's Michael York. Yeah. I had no idea. I didn't remember anything. I didn't remember hiring Froggy. I don't remember being pleasant. I don't remember any of that stuff. And watching it was like I was I was not

watching something that I remember doing. So it was really fun. Yeah. I didn't remember a single second of filming and um the one time Luke was happy. Experience I'm having with most of these episodes, does it come back to you? No, not this one. So you're watching it just like a full viewer because you're like, I like, somebody's never seen it. I don't remember most of this when they're all lined up not at the diner. No, I don't. I don't remember that rant. I don't remember it. I don't remember

a thing about it. I don't remember Froggy. I don't remember it, which is good. We have to try to track down Froggy. Danielle, can you help me? Yeah, I'm down. Oh my god, I don't know how. But you know, I enjoyed seeing Michael York. He's ah, I mean, at least to my generation, he's a well known actor. He's he's an incredibly talented actor. He's been around forever doing high quality work. And and he was in Austin Powers and he was so fun. He's you know, he's he's

like on the Mount Rushmore of actors sort of. You know, he's one of these guys. Is so great. She's all got to pay the bills and then she's all, I'm a fan, and they're like, could you started with that? Good? Was just so hot, such good stuff, and Richard and Richard happy and and upbeating and giving, and I mean, this is such a great ed Herman episode. He I gotta give it to him. This is this episode. It

really is. I mean what I mean, I love him so much, Like I know, I got a little emotional watching it to be honest, I kind of agree with you because you see him like go back and like you know, that's that's when it got me. I did it when he started singing with the whipping poof So did you hear his voice singing? Yeah, I'm just so happy. But the importance of making memories, it's it's really important. And boy, boy did he He was alive and full

in that moment. Is that is that as good as life gets with family and then you're reliving your past like that and enjoying it so much, Scott, because I did think it's the perfect time to be watching that episode because I went to a football game so Thanksgiving and then the next day is the cal U c l A game and it's like it is sort of that funk all the time of year and it is

first of all their tailgate. Oh my god, I want to go to the go Wait, so we're not there yet, so okay, So Laura comes in the house first of all ten out of ten on that black sweatshirt with the fur you guys, And then I've decided something. I've breaking news about Laura le Gilmore the curls. I do think that when she has the curls. I'm gonna give it a I like the straight, but I love the curls. Yeah, I like the curls. She looked good, everything good, leather jacket,

Diggers on the machine. So what did you think over it? I mean it's like, can we just can we just get to the football game? Yeah, I just Digger doesn't do it for me. I know you love him. I just I don't you do love him? But I like him. Scott, what do you think of Digger? I think he's a terrific actor and I think he's he's doing like I said last week, he's doing the job he was hired to do, right, He's supposed to make us feel a certain way and he's doing it in spades, and so

hats off to him. Um and sorry, but his name is blanking on me for some reason. Jason h that right, Chris Jason style. Sorry, I just blurred right. Wonderful you know, wonderful actor. And he's he's really he's doing that role perfectly. That's just great. It's just great. Can throw one yes, Amy in the front row? Please go friend, hunh, here's my bone to pick because I love Digger. I like the digger a lot. And I but I say this, I like Digger when he's on his game, right, like

the message when they're bantering. This is what I did not like. I thought they were acting like two little babies. Like she takes her on this lovely day to a beautiful restaurant and she's in the private room. It can't blame her, I agree, Are you kidding me? Take me to the most happening spot and then locked me in the basement like that, Get out with the action and have fun, enjoy it. What is wrong with this guy?

But it's like your five year anniversary and you are doing something intimate and ifever if you want to propose to somebody, it's a big moment. And and and then you like you save it because she's bored, and you go, will you marry me? Remind me not to take either you on a date. He took her, He was taking her on a date like a beautiful restaurant, like sorry, yes, I get it would have been more fun out there, but like, be polite and have a good time. He's

done all this effort you're talking about. Laura Gilmore, is she pluged? Standing between Laurela and what she wants? Is not pushing rude, but end but also know who you're taking on a date. Do you think Lorelai wants to be in a corner? No, she doesn't. She wants to be in the mix fun. Look at her life. She's she's working hard, you know, she's putting together the end. She's just raised the door. She wants to get out there and be seen. I disagree she seen where where

something dangerous. Was also a little rude that he said we're a little black dress flag on the play there. I didn't want that because I don't want some dude telling me what don't tell me what to wear. I didn't hate it, was like that's cute. Come on, that means he's got a little bit of game. Yes, there's something charming about it, but it also I was like cringe. He mentioned it twice and even watching the news too much.

She should be polite, like I get it. She can say I don't think it'd be more fun out there, but then the whole like she was being polite but not calling him a freaking trip. When can we go have fun? No? But when she said she should we leave? When he said should we leave, she should have said no, no no, no, let's we'll make the best of it. That was a jerk move. Could in her head be like, this is not the guy for me, but I'm going to get through this dinner. And yeah, that action is

going on out there doesn't matter light. There's something called being polite. Next, they get in the car and they're both being such a little babies, like fine, okay, they left, so all right, go have a good time. They were angry, they were being babies, so then they're I'm a baby. I'm a baby, and then she's like get off, get off. So then they get off, and then I'm like, okay, now we're gonna have fun again. We're at the drive through and then he's being a baby. Now she's being

fun and now I'm team Laurela. And then he's like and it wentney thing and it's like get a taco. Yeah it wasn't. It wasn't a terribly sexy. I was like to your point earlier. This guy just this guy just planned a dinner. He's pissed. I get it. But then they were finally having fun again and she's like get off, and he's all they're getting here's the move. He acted all butt hurt and then tank the whole evening because he was being a baby. He should have

gotten up. He should have gone to the the maitre d or the hostess and said, give him. Here's a thousand bucks, get us a table right now, or whatever, you know, whatever, I agree, give her, give her a good evening. She's not happy. Also paid for the privates. Come on, move it. If we're gonna be real serious about it, here's how the private I'm not being serious. I'm being you know. That's what I'm saying to you.

If you are at a restaurant like that, the private room has a minimum amount of money you have to spend, plus a fee for the room. So no restaurant is going to say to that person when they change their mind, he's already given them that. He's probably paid two thousand dollars for that room alone. Right, yeah, right, yeah. They would have given him a table, given him. They would have kicked out copple on giving him. They're both babies. He was, and she was be a man. Take the shot,

make her happy, get up, get the table. She wants to have a good evening being babies, because then she wouldn't get one of the tacos and it win anything. If you're not getting anything, I'm like, oh my god, I'm defending I'm defending Laurela. I'm sorry. I'm on the side of Laura La. No, because she's got his Harvard Look what you're dealing with. She should with tacos and then he would have been like, oh, I'll have a bite, and he should have ordered something. They're both bugging me.

They're both being babies. I love them. They're being babies. Then they go to the market and find things took a turn. She likes him, so she already admits a rory. I like him. So she liked him, then why wouldn't she be cool in the room with him. I don't know. It's so ridiculous that the whole time I was I was wondering if that market was real. Wait, thank you for thank you for teeing me up. That supermarket is right behind my high school. I was text you did

because because we live right by West Hills. Yeah, so I grew up in West Hills and it's West Hills Market. Although that's all it's actually called in real life. It's not a market anymore. But back in the day it was called Fields Market, Yeah, and it's it's right behind my high school, and so during like lunch or after school whatever, we would all walk over the market and get a how did you recognize Hooke or whatever? Because

it is so distinct. Literally, I was like, that is Fields Market, And then I went to Google and I was like is this Fields blah blah blah, and it is so um Yeah that was Scott Are you okay? Hi? But they filmed there all the time, like so many different TV shows, there's always a TV crew out there. So at some point when I was in high school, they were filming this episode of gum Mark. What threw me off was like, this building looked familier, but then I said West Hills Market, So I was like, I

don't think that's that sign? Is there? Yeah? It's funny because it wasn't West. They were probably like, what should we call this because it can't be the real name was market? Yeah. Sorry? Also correction, I called it China Palace, but it's China Garden. China Palaces like down the street from me. So did you like them at the grocery store? Did you guys like them? Then I just got off the train, you know, Yeah, I just got a fan of Digger, so I'm just like the toothpaste I was.

I was on Mooralized team, like seriously or not toothpaste? What was it that he wanted? You're really going to get the razors right now? Like I was like, yeah, I would the same shopping, and that to me said he just kind of gave up on the whole date and let's just get some razors. Screw it. I mean, it was so insulting. I thought that entire thing was so insulting to her. Oh my god, every facet of that date was insulting to her. And then she ends

up sitting there. But it wasn't insulting that he planned this beautiful evening and she pooped on it. He didn't plan it right, He's screwed up. He's gotta he's got to have a little clubhouse meeting he did. This is what I was saying. I don't think he yes exactly, I don't think he planned wrong in theory. It's nice to get the nice room at the nice restaurant. But

he didn't pass the test, you know what I mean. Like, right when Lorla was like I don't like this, he didn't rise to the occasion when when when Ruota was dating that girl and good fellas, what did he did on the first what are you doing on the front? He took her, He took her to that the Cotton Club or whatever that famous New York City haunt was, and they got him. He said, hey, Henry, come on in, and they gave him a table right up front to see. Uh,

you know, Bobby Darren and everybody sent him champagne. That's what a girl wants, right They want to be seen. Thank you, thank you very much. I'll be Uh. I don't know if I'll be appearing on the ballot anytime soon, but I believe in that very much. I still think they should have had dinner at the China Garden. But if I'm gonna be on y'all's team, I think they could have had fun at the grocery store, which ultimately

they did, but I didn't care. Like at that point, I'm like, right now, oh well, um well, let's I don't eat it a bar. I don't eat a bar now. My legs just hang off the bar. Still, my god. She was really Yes, you're doing a good impression, diaper, get a nice table, have a good evening, but say she was doing the same thing. Well, I'm not going to get anything. If you're not going to get anything, it's like, oh my god, get the tacos. We were

having fun here for a second, wearing fun. He was being angry and he wouldn't need a taco with her, and she wanted to just sort of chill and have a romantic taco with the guy and get to know him. He wouldn't eat. She likes him. They like It's just it's just really showing how different they are, like totally different, but they like each other. Did you not hear her call Rory at when he from the When did she call Rory? She calls Rory and she says I'm still here,

and she says dirty. Would she like him if if Luke wasn't in La La Land with right now? So okay, I think no, because I think obviously, Look, she was very upset over Luke being back with Nicole. Yeah, started her on the path to Digger, and then her mom being so mean, just threw her into Digger's arms. Look, she can't find anybody that can keep up with her.

She's really smart, she's really fast, she's really funny. She it's hard to find a personality that's going to tolerate or even compete with that or not feel um like, I mean, do you think most guys dating a Laura like Gilmore are going to feel confident all of the time. No, they're gonna they're gonna be like can keep up though,

That's that's why she's hanging in there. Yeah, I was gonna say, like, watching him, it was very like stars hollow vibe, like just that fast talking like he has he has all that, all the boyfriends that she's had, Like he's the one that can keep up the most. But she told Rory that he's from her social class.

She feels comfortable in a way. You know, I feel like if I feel like she's just like, oh, he's around, like I don't know, like the shiny object that she's looking at right now, Like it's not really somebody that she is compatible with or anything like that. And she knows that she's just kind of like, well, I got nothing else so specially, but she is. They are compatible. They are they're intellectual equals, right, So there's that. And um,

he's very driven, he's obviously very wealthy. He's going to be even more wealthy. He's a go getter. He's but man, he said I might like him. He really tucked. He really tucked tail and run. He got so disappointed one she didn't like the room. It's like, dude, takes a hit, just takes a hit a million times. You gotta take the hit and just not don't get show that you you took a hit. Just make it, make it right. I have a question, though, do you think that it's

because they actually are a lot alike? Because that's what I was thinking, Like they kind of are the same in their ways of like they have the same upbringing. Yeah, but I just mean, like personality wise, maybe that's why they're both kind of snooty, looking down on the world and making jokes about everything. Right, we mean that way, but down making jokes about everything? They are you kidding me?

Did you watch the episode? That's all she did. The entire episode is just rank on everybody and everything, and it's hysterically funny. Totally, It's hysterically funny, and that's what he does. Right. Yes, why do you feel like you have to control me? Right? I need to ask both of you questions. Scott, your wife, Danielle, your husband, They plan, they say, we're going out. It's a bad analogy there, that's their first date. Can't You can't ask the wife

Riverway camp or camp all whatever it was called. Whatever they went. They've known each other for twenty years, yes, first, but but not romantically, have been married. They don't know each other. I mean you didn't say a lot of times we're on a date. Finish your question. I'm sorry because I know you're going to give me a fake answer. You a real answer. You want to give you a real your your husband, your wife take you. They plan this beautiful evening and you go to the hottest restaurant

in town. You're at um let me think of it, Craig's in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and you have the private room. You're really going to be like and then you want to be here listen this next day here, I don't want to like my honest answer right now, No, because I've been with my husband for so long. But like in the beginning, I would be like, I don't really know, this is our first day. But wouldn't you

still stayed and been polite? You would you have actually left? Yes, I would have been polite and finished my meal and been like you had a nice commerce station. Yeah. I was kind of like cool. I get to hear these two talk. I was not that. Yes, I got the awkwardness of the room and he made a bad call, but like they have great banter ultimately like enjoy each other. I thought it was a misstep because they got us a away from the football stuff and away from the

Richard Emily drama, which is really starting to heat up. Man, I mean, let's go to that and then and then, and then they cut to this restaurant and you're like, oh, I want oh, this is kind of a cool. Let's check this out, this kind of I've never seen this on Gilmore girls. This is a cool place. And Ted copples there and let's see what kind of Shenanigan's happened here,

because it's gonna be something. Loyal is going to say something to Ted Copple about Rory journalism or whatever, and she's gonna screw it up and it's gonna be funny, and Jason's gonna say, you know, all kinds of things are gonna happen. And then we get stuck in a little room and I'm like, hey, let's go back to the football game. You know, I'm out of this before we go to the football game. Really fast, she gets the machine message from Digger. We're way back there? Did

she start six? Nine? And like, how did she call him back so fast? It's like she went to her rolodex and got his number out starts six, So I forgot about that. That's what I think too. Anyway, continued Daniel, Sorry, no, I was going to say, because we were talking about, you know how I would feel with my relationship now if my husband did not tell me for the last ten years that every year he was getting dinner with one of his exes. Thirty nine years, you guys, every year every year? And now now compare, compare Jason to Emily. Taken one in the gut like that, and Emily held her own better than Jason and she and she had a much harder kick to the stomach that one crushed. So she's crushing, can you imagine being But also when he was like, you don't know the restaurant and like started, I'm like, oh, like he perfectly picked that restaurant because she doesn't know about it. So bad. It was bad. It was bad.

But although I did not appreciate how she turned it on, Laura Lee was, yeah, she's going to find any excuse the journal. Laurel laure having a field day all day, although she was clear with Lorrea we don't talk to Pendelin lot. Laurel I was asking, hello, you get the pleasure of all the great lines and how funny she is and how good she is. But you know she's asking for it from Emily's Emily thinks she's going to

get away with it. I don't think how matter you guys at Richard for doing that there's I was so mad at him, and then I was also so sad for him because I don't think he's actually doing something bad, Like I don't think he's having it there on Emily. I think he's just likes everyone and is nice to everyone and likes every relationship. If there's a little piece of him back there still having lunch, it's bad. It is bad. Every year thing something that's that breaks breaks

somebody's hearts. And also it's not like it's like a business meeting, right, because he's talking about like Gloralize in like it's very personal I'm more intrigued about what's going to happen with their marriage than anything else that happened in this episode, because that's a huge body blow for Emily.

That's a huge body blow. It was just so like you see Richard having the time of his life with people and Alma Mater and all that kind of stuff, and then all of a sudden, the celery and like you can tell what the celery and then something was brewing and Emily's brain and you're just like speaking him awkward again. It was so awkward with the guys. Richard brings those guys over. Oh yeah, so awkward in the moralizes like wrong. I was just like, all, this is

so uncomfortable. Can they do this? Know that that kind of conversation is not saved for later? That is I'm steaming and we're talking about it now. But how many great lines were there? There was so many. This was such a great episode over this is the best. That's the problem, because I think part of why it's so good number one the banter, the writing, but two because there was so much like we've got this Digger Lorelie thing, We've got Paris, we've got a little Marty and then

we've got this major thing with Richard and Emily. So what do you guys? Do you think there's going to be ramifications from this? Yeah? Thank Yeah. I think Richard's if not moving out, he's sleeping in the other bedroom,

he's in the doghouse, held as you should be. I can also like kind of see Emily like internalizing it and like not letting like because she cares so much about being married, you know, with Richard in the high class society that they're in, in their big beautiful house with their you know, maids and all that kind of stuff. I can see her like internalizing it and and not bringing it up again. In a weird way. I think I'm always going to talk to him about it right away.

She's gonna want an explanation. She's going to demand an explanation, and it's going to be a whole sort of stages. Do you think in our next episode the trust is the trust is gone right now? This is going to be major in the next The trust is gone. Forty years of trust gone? How do you get it back? Man? That's to It was really hard, very bad. I was having such a good time there and I was like, no, no, no, no, No, he didn't just say no no, can we just go back to can you go back and tell you I

want to go to the football game. Let's go in your stomach? Right when she said it to Laura La at the bathroom or did you not? You put it together right away? I put it together right away. Right when she was like, oh, you're opening up the end, I was like, how did she know that? Right? Yeah? And I think opening Emily didn't hear because she kind of is coming out. It's also just so much more hurtful because it's about Laura La right, Like it's not

like just a random thing. It's like Emily already feels distant from her. It's intimate. There's some intimacy there, right, good point. Yeah, he's sharing intimate family details. Oh boy, that's a tough one. I don't know how's he. I don't know how he's gonna survive this. This is tough. This is tough. I'm just going to test their love. It was heartbreaking. I just wrote I am sad about Yeah. Did anybody see Emily's finn that said Harvard go to Hell?

It's like, I love it. Sorry, we can't go to hell. We're too busy creating heaven before we get to the super sad part. Let's just have a little fun with it. Still, what a day. They know how to go to a game, I mean RV. It wasn't even like a track of There were floral arrangements, there were linens, they were does Emily always get somebody who doesn't do the job the way she wants it done? were not on me? She just loves to complain. Why can't she find people that are really great at I think even if it was something right, it's just like there's some people like that, like they just there's always something that's not perfect. And we didn't dog treat for dance like I thought it was going to be. You like like I don't know a human or something. And then she's like, here you go. There's so much happening.

But look how all in Emily is with her husband's experience and that familial experience of sharing that she carries the flasks, she's got the dog bone ready to go, and she carries the flasks and she's got it all in that purse. She totally plans that whole day for him and I mean, god, poor woman. I just love how when when Lorela was like it's nine am, like it starts at noon, where are we here, like not

even knowing what was about the tail. This is why I want to watch it again because there's so much having I missed half of Did you guys hear all

that funny stuff? Lorla saying to the dog like, don't it's not a good ending for you, damn right, And we didn't talk about we skipped over the scene where it's the Friday night dinner and that Richard and Emily are all in a dither because of the six foot Rudolf and the lawn twinklers, and then Rory once more like the whole I just wrote this Benett the other so had the colon oscopy or whatever like col and

remove something bad. Yeah, I got to cancel him happening in this episode because Yeah, that was one of the better, maybe the best dinners, I agree, the best that was. That was a great Also. Shout out to the four leaf clover necklace and the white sweater three quarter lengths sleaves so turtlenext sweater. I mean, I dream of that sweater with the three quarter length sleeves. Emily's visor, Thank you visor. Hat Wait, thumbs up if you like a visor.

Oh I'm the only thumbs down. Okay, Marty, good old Marty. Marty came off well in this episode. Yeah, Marty was cool. He was really cool. And Richard was even cooler with Marty. Yeah, they were. They're so. They're very kind to the friends, even Nutty Paris. They're so nice to her. And Emily packed a little to go pack for Marty with snacks. They set us up. Richard was on fire. We're just loving the guy and you know, living through him vicariously,

thinking of our college days. And yes, yes I got bring to Eye and then you had lunch with Penlin. You know, the soul of drama. They really whack you across the face with this shown you at least expected Pendlan's cute, So I get it. Richard's just gonna get his ass kicked. Man, that's just not gonna be good. I will say this episode, I think Scott you mentioned it had one thousand best lines. Oh, there's so many. The bloody Mary Roy's like, I'm looking, I'm looking for

a lampshade to wear. I forget, I mean and Jess, we got a little Jess mentioned, surprised me. Yeah, we emily acknowledged acknowledged Jess. And that Rory's like Richard kind of tough about it. Yeah. Yeah, that was a nice little moment that that that that Rory stoic like Richard, yes, you know. And just Laura Lie with Penelon are you my almost mommy? Like yeah, would you have let me have a pony? Like it was just like oh god, oh the lines were fingers in this nice day for pie.

We didn't talk about that. So Scott, do you think Luke really would have like fired Froggy? Yeah, you save his business? Yeah, huh yeah, and Froggy is not good. No, he's not good at it, not good at the job, don't. I don't know how. Yeah, I'm surprised even lasted that long because Luke is such a you know, a taskmaster, right Who wrote this? Again? Who wrote this? A? I mean every line? Yeah, it was Amy, no wonder, She's

a freaking genius. How about when they say we hate Brennan and then I think Kirk goes Satan whatever whatever his name is, Like, yeah, I mean it's hard to believe that. Look, Luke would let it go that far right, right, Like do we think Nichole's got him all goofy? Like why is he not noticing that this guy blows? And where Caesar? I don't know, Caesar, I don't know. Worse, Yeah, I don't know. Maybe, yeah, I think Luke is. I think it's definitely a sign that Luke is starting to

wonder if there's more to life. And you know, it's like this is uh five am to four thirty am to ten eleven at night with the bookkeeping and ordering the stuff and the supplies, and I mean, what a pain, right, And uh so now he's got Nicole and maybe he's starting to see a little different kind of a light, right, he's maybe happy about it, and he hires his kid. He's he's off his game, old Luke, He's off his game. So Smiley. I wonder if they gave you like notes

like extra because you kind of were glowy. I know, that's a weird way to describe it, sort of glowing floating on air. I was just like they really you really were. No, it's in the script. But then you have those discussions like I remember you would have a discussion with the director about how bright to make it. Yeah, it's really just a question of degree. So yeah, you

have those conversations. Yeah, m hm, I love it. Okay, so now we're going to get into us some notes that the Crack My Crack staff has unearthed the staff Scott Patterson, Are you applying that I had multiple personality and know him as Luke A? Right? Here they go? Here they go in the cold open Laurel, I and Rory are supposed to be looking at their calendars, but the pages, and this is the fact, the pages in

loyalized notebook are totally blank. I should have I totally know the moment you're talking about, and I should have had eagle ez. Yeah, well, you know, thank God for my Crack staff. But that's so like you would think that they would have done better than that, or just going a planner at CVS right with some little things written in. You know. At that point I think, Lauren goes, are you guys seeing this? And they go, no, We're not going to see that, so you know, you know

what I mean? And then it always defaults too. Yeah. Um right, okay, So at one what do we have? We have a sighting? We do clomb, Yes, we have a clowns pillow sighting at eight one. So let's mark that. At ten fifty three, there's a shot of Emily and with loyalized glass in the foreground. The glass suddenly slides to the right, even though loyalized hands aren't anywhere near it.

Ghost it goes to Gilmore's. I think it goes goes to Gilmore's and there's spinoff, right, or Luke's running the diner and every all the other characters are gross, right, but they're there. Um okay, So it's mark when Brennan pulls an knackin out of his pocket for Kurt, he's right. He holds the bottom of the supposedly hot coffee pot with the bottom of it. I actually think I sort of noticed that. Yeah, you know that that could be like like a froggy thing where he doesn't feel Maybe

he was. Maybe he's like that because he was hit by lightning and he doesn't feel heat or cold. There was actually a instructor in Colorado wats who never wore gloves or or a jacket or anything because he was struck by lightning, survived, he didn't feel cold. But here's why that's bad. You can still get a burn or

frost bite. No, he seemed happy as a clam and I didn't see any black marks on his on his nose or people can do that like some people can like you know, like pull something out of the oven without amidsh My god, no, no, you can people do that. I've seen that. Um My grandma is one of those people that she's just like, yep, here we go. It's making me feel sick because I can't even wash my hands in the morning because the water hasn't gotten hot yet.

I'm like, oh, you know, it's actually good for you. That's really good for you to take a really cold showers. It's the best thing in the world for your health. It's it's it's it's amazing. Past. Okay, good one, good, Maybe we maybe we should find that extras. She's bugging for the camera. Maybe she's a ghost. She moved the glass. Okay. And last, but not least, when Laura line Jason are sitting in the Taco Barn drive through, jason seatbelt is sometimes on,

sometimes off. What dude, he should have just kept that. I'll tell you about Jason. Let's to tell you about the character. Sometimes we feel secure with him and sometimes write that's what they're trying to say. I feel like that he got out of the car to go to the bathroom in the middle of shooting and then forgot to put the seatbelt back. Well, there's a whole story. I'll do the psychological, you do the practical, alright, exactly, Um Daniels, that's pretty good. That's not bad. Um. You

know what. We have one last item on the agenda here. The crack team does have a favorite line and they do this and you will meet them. Okay, let's see about that. The team is actually getting larger. Give us the line, give us this fake people's line. Give them Scott Patterson's line. That is not my line, crack team, crack staff. The line is is there someone who can document this? A photographer or a really fast painters? I wrote that down to do we know where that occurred?

Because the crack staff, who's overworked at this point, failed to h I don't because I wrote out down or really fast painter, and then I couldn't remember why did I write that down? Where did this happen? In the in the episode towards the middle? I can remember it in my notes the middle. Okay, well, I think heads you're going to roll, and I'm gonna just might have been at that. I'm going to find it at the football game. I feel like it might have been at

the football games trying. Look at Daniel, she's trying so hard to she really is. I'm trying. I'm trying trying. That's the determination that made this country great. Look at that. Um, it's actually uh Jason's line, So is there is there someone who can document this? A photographer? To say she'll go on the date with him? Exactly came back to me. I loved the bloody Mary like you've been working on it for hour, and then said Rome wasn't built in a day. I'm gonna have to rewatch this one. I think.

I think so too, Daniel. What's your favorite? I got to so I'm just gonna give them both. So Emily tells Laurela, lore La, does anything work above your neck? And then the loa to Rory, she says, I think I forgot to put on underwork, bro I we just didn't really dig into it too much. But the scene with Luke and Lorelei where the they're talking about Froggy, I thought that was just a ten out of ten, an amazing scene. The banter was so good. Can you get Miss Gilmore a cup of coffee? And then there's

like nothing happens. But for me, the win of the whole episode is what are button napkins? I was gonna say, but yeah, and you're just like, what are button napkins? Like you just she's going, going, going, and she gave a butt napkin and then you're kind of like, and what are button nap I love when she goes it's not hot, it's not yours. That entire scene. I like the Rory line. I like a couple of lines, but

I like the Rory line to Paris. Uh if When she answered, she said to Paris, well it wouldn't have been you then, right, that's as she said, I'm a big fan. Maybe I should have said that before I started off the conversation. Well, then it wouldn't have been here. Then it wouldn't have been Paris. So yeah, lots of

good lines, Laurel. I had a really funny line describing the ritual, with Dan saying, oh, are we gonna go circle a squirrel's tail and burn it with like nuts in our mouth and chin or something something like that. All right, good stuff all the way around. Should we give Should we give this episode bloody Mary's or napkins? No? No, no, no, let's not get drums. Okay, let's enough with that, Okay, onion pringles, No, let's do um taxidermy bulldogs? Oh my god,

how many taxidermy bulldogs do you give this episode? I think that's where it grows than what I agree. You guys don't want to do bloody marries, bloody marries. Let's bloody mars. Ten? Ten? Wow, I give it a nine point five as well. Wow, so we got a nine point five and a ten.
