I Am all In. Oh that's you. I Am all In with Scott Patterson and I heart radio podcast. I solemnly swear and Emily gets sued. Emily gets sued by a maid. Those are good scenes if it makes you feel that. I restarted twice because I couldn't get into it. How did it start? Though? It did? It start off with the maid? It's Friday night dinner and there's the new maid at the door and Emily's freaking out because she's on the phone with a lawyer. You know it

started out well. I thought it was a good episode overall. Are we all know? We're not yet, but we should be. This is good because I agree, I agree with you. Yeah, I thought it started off really well. Start the pod. We're not on the area are you talking about? We're starting on horses out of the barn? Well, you want me to do the official and here's Johnny. I thought we were like being cool and just sort of it's

you know, people download it starts right right. I like it right because we everyone made fun of you for always saying it's Scott Patterson and the I Am All In Podcast because everyone had to click on it so they know where they are. Yeah, I know, but still, you know, I was doing my Ryan Seacrest invitation, trying it again. I like it. You're pretty good, Ryan Seacrest. You're a pretty good host, dude. I gotta take my chanty.

I listened to a secret. I listen to Kiss FM on the way to the gym and back, I do. I listen to listen to Ryan. Well, they only play two songs, lea, No, no, no, no, they don't know. They play they play Styles. They play Harry Styles as it were or as it is or whatever. Right, right, that's a little little, nice little song to drive to, right, you know. And then and then they're talking to the Harry Styles face club on the zoom. Right, I think

I understand this right now, not me. I did you young and you like that stuff and it's all dreamy and sweet and it's all great, right, and then they play this other song a girl talks about you know, you know, it's like and what is it the hook? It's like and you go at me for hours and hours and hours and it's like and it's like a bluesy, cool hip sexy song. So every time I turn and kiss FM, they play they play the Harry style song and then to play that song. It's like four times

in a row. These people what they want, They're in heavy, heavy rotation. Right, people people wanna, you know, listen to Harry and then they want to go to the bond want to do? They want to listen to us talk about I solemnly swear that's what they want to listen to. That. That was just what a transition. This is your I am all In podcast. Hi, I'm Scott Patterson coming to you a live um studio, City, California. I'm joined by out with I Heart Radio and want to let in production.

I'm joined by Danielle Romo Taras and the innotable Amy Sugarman. Take it away, guys, I mean, poor Emily just getting sued. She's what does excuse me? First of all, you know, I had a thought I want to share it. Where does Emily And this is getting a little too deep into it right from the back, But where does she get off lecturing anybody about family loyalty? So excellent point that we need to break down. So I'm just gonna say that, right and then we'll go ahead, Well, let's

start this thing. Go ahead, let's start this let's just okay. So so we start with the Friday night dinner and immediately Emily is freaking out Tara. Tara read the synopsis. Thanks thanks for me, I appreciate it. Season three, Episode eleven, I solemnly swear. Air date January two thousand three. Synopsis. Emily is getting sued by a former maid, and Lori

La has to do a deposition on her behalf. Rory's friendship with Paris is put to the test by the manipulation of Francy plus Suki accidentally goes on a date with a former friend and Lori La meets someone new Juicy Juicy, Juicy Juice. So I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but like I thought, even though Emily is terrible, terrible to the staff, she did make a good argument. I agree. I was like, you're terrible, but

you're making a good argument. I did not disagree with her. Yeah, I did not disagree, but I'm also not surprised she's getting sued. Yeah, to your point, though, I was like, oh my god, Emily, you're a wretched And then she made that comparison between first class and coach, and I was like, you know what, I tipped my hat off to you. That was I was a good analogy. Yeah, she's you know, she said she's paying top dollars. She lets him know up front what she expects. She probably says,

if if you violate any of these, you're gone. No clumping, no clumping. Yeah, I would definitely be fired. I walk like an elephant. Here's my question, I do I'm loud. I'm a want LAURAA deposed on her side, Like just don't have lawa Lae. Do you know what I'm saying? Who else is going to do it? Why do they need anybody else? Like, just she could be deposed and give her first class thing. Laura is the only one that can do it. It's their only kid, right. But like,

if you're a lawyer, I'm the lawyer. But I wouldn't call somebody in for a deposition that I know isn't going to be on my side. Happens every day. What are you talking about? You deposed people that are on your side, and the other side deposes people that are

on their side. They get cross examined. Right, But she was being called bye, I assume Emily's lawyer because Emily's lawyer called her so It would be one thing if the other lawyer called her, But why would you put somebody up that's gonna you know, thinks you're like a bad boss. Do you see what I'm saying. I'm explaining this right? You think? No, she expected Laura Lae to

be loyal and say nice things. Right, but but again, why does why does she expect Laureaae to be loyal to her when she's been trashing Laura la her entire life and to her face and behind her back, and what a shame she is to the family, and she told all her friends and all of a sudden she's in a little bit of trouble, and she expects all this loyalty and she even admits it. Richard thinks she's too tough on the maids. So why he not getting

to posed because he'd say much was a little bit me. Oh, I'm right, it's it's not a lawyer, just a dramatic device. We're all being manipulated by these don't fall for it. You look peeved? Who remember that line? Making I've been waiting all day to say that, And they kind of moved it along like Richard's in London, helping tricks so I guess we're going to see more of tricks. The mere mention of that name. You don't care for Marian Rod. I do I love Marion Ross. I do not character

I think I established it. But yeah, I thought it was a really seamless, well acted, beautifully paced, well lit uh episode and the beginning it's really started out really well and it was smooth and seamless, and it was really put together very nicely. All the elements were woven together really really nicely. That house is fancy, yeah, and I didn't notice the house more in this one, and it looked really great. And especially yes, I noticed the

same thing like when they're in that. Maybe it's just we got a different angle at it, but it's like that is a grand living, right, They're not messing around. There's a lot of beautiful fireplaces in this episode. Did you guys notice that there was a lot of fires going multiple winter right, so it's like, yeah, cozy. There was a lot of beanies again, a lot of scarfs,

a lot of beanies. At least there was one scene where it was at night where I'm like, okay, the temperature probably dropped a bit set yeah, but then the asphalt is so wet. How do they do that again? I know you've told us down you never shoot at night without hosing it down. Even daytime. They just hose it down before they shoot because it glistens, it looks better. Yeah, which it did. So I noticed right a way that Billy Burke was in the credits right away, right, I

like that guy Harley from Twilight. Yep, he went on to do Twilight, so this was sort of like preliminary and then he also is on Star now is he played sort of? Oh that's one of those shows, right, well, they do. They do like twenty of them. There's right, There's nine one one Los Angeles nine one, and he played like sort of a jerk who comes around. But I like him, and he was in twenty four season two. He was a very bad guy on that. So okay, I know I'm jumping ahead, but we saw his name

the credits. How you feeling, Scott about what your girl's got a new guy? It doesn't phase me. It's just some qupie doll with a poofy hair haircut. Who cares? I have to say. He was very smooth, like I I thought he um is Lorelie speed with like their wit and their humor, Like he was able to banter her back and forth with her, and the way he asked her out. I was like, that's yeah, I like it. I love the Michelle gave gave him luralized number two at home, say she's up until three am whatever. Yeah.

I didn't think their banter was quite as on when they were at the whatever. That terrible. Yeah. I think he was caught off guard at first, but I think he can hang, just based off of my initial thought of him. He can definitely hang, and he has the same wit that Loralai does. He just wasn't expecting it at first. Yeah, he had like CE game and then a game. Scott thoughts, we see your wheels spin in there next. Do you think you can watch it with fair eyes? No? Yeah, That's why I'm not really going

to comment. Yeah, it's just they just keep doing this now. I'm like, you know, it's like, all right, been there, done that. He's not gonna make the gray. I get it. Oh yeah, Daniel, there's a few more coming before. I'm still not quite over Max Medina. Medina. I was like really hopeful for that one, but that's you were hopeful for that one you weren't. It was like the first one I got, you know, that was too I liked him. Yeah,

I like Christopher. I mean obviously sorry, sorry Luke. All right, So then we go to the kitchen and there's a big old fight between Stookie and Jackson that was kind of like ugly over pee tendrils and Brussels sprouts, and then it ends with like I love you, kiss kiss. It's always about so toxic. I was just like whoa just yelling at each other and then with the flip of a switch, they're like, love you. What do you think?

I thought it was great? You know it wasn't. It wasn't real real, But I mean, you know, yeah, you argue with your spouse at times and it can get pretty loud and you're kissing makeup. I mean it's not it's not ever that fast. You know. That's you know, that's compressed reality. There. What are p tendrils? I have no idea. I like Brussels sprouts. Do you love I

do brussel? It depends. I mean if you dip them in some kind of butter sauce, throaka and then cover them in chocolate, I still just I'm blown away by how the kitchen just is always I know I say it every week, but it's just like filled with the most amazing cakes and things. There was a lot of stuff in that kitchen, all right. So then we go to Chilton. Way, did you see this still image? I did? I did, and I noticed it, and you're so right, Yeah, thank you so much? Way too obvious of what the

clown pillow? No, what are you talking about? So you know I've been complaining about like when they show the exterior of the inn and they show the exterior of Chilton's photo, they did it again, and this one I didn't notice it. We're going to start now that I pointed it out. Yeah, I think now that you said it, how I'm like, especially you said it was Chilton and where else it was the house in oh and there

was one of the house. But that got better in this episode because I liked that exterior shot of her still on the phone. But Scott like, what is that just cheaper to use a photo so that they don't have to go and like, shoot, I don't know that that's a photo. I mean, that's probably not a photo. It's a you know, they they shot that with the with the movie camera, you know, Yeah, can you go back and look at it and come back to me

on this? I can think of is like maybe the interior is obviously a set, so the exterior isn't well wait, Scott, Yeah, where was Chilton? It wasn't on the lot, right, Chiltern. No, it's somewhere else did I make that? God? Where where? I don't know where they shot you. Maybe someone can do a quick google on that. And interestingly, the inn, what the inn exterior isn't on the lot either, So

they're using images because they don't have them. But even if they would have shot video Greystone Manner Mansion, that probably that sounds right. Yeah, because we shot we I think we shot the hurt Rory's graduation over there, Beverly Hills, Greystone there. We should take up field trip there too and just take selfies everywhere. Yeah, okay, so we're seeing sort of this is Paris, and Paris was a baller.

At first, I thought she was so baller because she completely knew what Francy was up to and was like, I already negotiated it for the Wadsworth mansion and we saved money and we're giving the telescope and I was like, Bravo, Yeah, yeah, she knows what she's doing. Francy is uh, you know, as diabolical and as clever as she tried to appear to be. Can I ask you something just a logic thing and it could be really obvious to you guys, And I just don't get it. Please, Um, where did

she get the photos? So I'm assuming took the photos? And why didn't Rory say who took these photos? Or no? When she was handing them to Paris and saying, you know, Roy stabbed in the back. Why didn't Paris, who's so smart, say wait a minute, where did you get these photos? Who took them? You're setting Rory up? I mean, what is going on with these photos? Seemed so I'm assuming someone was hiding in the garage. Somebody was hiding in the garage. How did she get her hands ahold of them? Well?

And also where was that garage? Like that a lot. I have a lot to think about the garage Of all places you as somebody to meet you, why would you say dark garage like literally that? When that scene opened up, I was like, oh, and this is the part of Gilmore Girls where Rory gets kidnapped. Okay, So that whole scene wasn't homage to um uh the Watergate movie All the President's Men with Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman in that was they exactly. They did a very

good job depicting that Deep Throat scene too. So so Robert Redford had a source inside the White House feeding him information, and he was communicating with him in unusual ways, like Robert Redford could not contact this guy via phone or meet him. It's like put a red flag in your flower, put on your balcony airplane, and this is where we'll meet and I'll tell you. And and so how Holbrook played Deep Throat and this was a real These are based on real events, right right. They just

had a CNN documentary. So you know, Deep Throat would would feed Robert Redford clues because Robert Redford played a reporter for the he played you know, Burnt it was Woodward and Bernstein Um for the Washington Post when Ben Bradley was the senior editor um at the heyday of the Washington Post, Um when it was a truly powerful, uh bastion of of great journalism. But but anyway, so that whole scene that you saw with between Gilmore was it was an homage to that scene. So Emily what's

her Name's her name? Francy Francie was playing deep throat and and uh Rory was supposed to be Robert Redford. Yeah, you wouldn't think that if Paris is so quick and so smart, which she is, which like we already just saw it with what she did about the mansion and the whole meeting, and she's she was rightfully pissed at the teacher. I thought that made sense, like why was the teacher just letting this impromptu meeting happen? But anyway, but why didn't you question the photos? And why would

she just assume we all know Francis? Why would we just Pis questions said, like, you set Rory up, you took photos, you're giving me the photos, You're trying to dupe me? What the hell is going on with this power play? It's it's in the fencing class. She kind of she said that she knew she was being manipulated, that she knew that Francy was just being a dumb dumb and that she was just like, but why did you tell her about Jamie? Right? I thought Harris made

a great point there. It was like she did Paris was probably right. She just was like wait, defencing with the parking garage, like does Chiltern have that big of a parking that. I was like, that's what threw me off, more like yes, like it was very weird. And then she disappeared. But I was like, where is this parking garage?

And they that giant parking lot? Why lord l I always gets to park the jeep right in front and runs down below that was supposed to be the children parking garage because it certainly look like cy parking garage. It did not look like literally thought it was Century City. Yeah, that's what they were going for the homage to all the presidents. Meant, okay, thank you for that, because I

was not. And they nailed it too, because because as soon as I saw that first shot at the garage, I go, oh, they're going to do an homage to all the presidents because they nailed it. They nailed it, like scene for scene or shot for shot one of us. It was really even with the car alarm going off. I don't think they didn't have car alarms back then, but at least it was kind of spooky, because remember when she gets the plane and then all of a sudden, like the was gone, Like it was like there was

a little and Francis lighter and the later. But that's but that's the mood that they created in the original and all the President's men is that, oh my god, this could be a setup to get assassinated, to get shot, because I mean people were you know, people were gonna you know, Nixon was disappearing people. Yeah, it was, it was. It was really a dead on homage. That's funny. It was funny when they told what's our doozy to hum to herself? Madeline, Oh my god, and Louise is like,

hum to yourself. And then Paris says like, hey, can you poke John Williams and tell him that cut the score? That was a very clever line. So okay, so now it's just on it's Rory versus Francy. So pretend we haven't gotten to the garage Seene yet and we're just backed up to the you know, student council meeting, and it's like, oh, those two and I mean Francie has just gone totally evil, totally evil. But if Paris doesn't question where the photos came from, and why she's feeding

her this information? Then I'm not going along for the ride. So I don't think she's evil. I think it's kind of dumb. I don't disagree. Paris got emotional instead of like steady about it, where she's like, wait, Murray's not going to like screw me over Francy? Is Johnny done it once? Anyway? And so again again it's an homage. I don't know that there were photographs ever produced in any scene in the garage with how Redford. I don't

think there were. It was just quiet conversation and obscure clues. He wouldn't tell him anything directly. And now Emily's lawyer is calling and Lorela is going to be deposed. Have you ever been deposed? Have you guys? Mm hmmm, A couple of couple of times? Is it terrible? What's it like? Um? Gosh, Well, it depends on the lawyer. The lawyer that was deposing me was so stupid that um uh, I just kept correcting him, and so it was frustrating for him and

kind of easy for me. And then the second time I was deposed it was a fancier lawyer, but they were equally as dumb because and it's like in a conference, rate don't Yeah, but the thing is is um um when you when you're when you're on the side of right, when you're telling the truth, it's it's it's easy to be relaxed and and confident when the other side is lying there trying too hard. You know. Oh, I kind

of wish. So now we go to truly the most boring like class whatever that was presentation, Like, how did that guy get his voice to be so boring? Oh? That was great? Like and then they made a cootie catcher. Remember those? I didn't know that's what it was called. I didn't know that's what it was called either. They said it in the episode because there was the other name for it, fortune teller. Like literally we all did those, yeah, a little for we had those. We had slam books.

Did you ever have slam books? No, it's a slam book. I don't remember. But you'd write in it and then you'd pass it along. You wouldn't know, and you'd write all these like what do you think about Marcy? That is now called the burn Book. That's called a book

called a slam book? What about Mash remember mash back house, So you'd like draw something out that said mash, and then you'd like you make like a spiral and then the person says stuck, and then you count the lines and then you figure out like who they're going to marry, how many kids are gonna have? Are they a brother to mansion, an apartment, a shack or a house pet pet? Yeah, yeah, you'd go counting around. Yeah, that's what that's like. My son's your book. I just went through it in all

the fifth graders did their thing and the hags. It's like, I'm going to go to Harvard. I'm going to be a colder and then I'm going to live in a huge house and I'm going to have a dog, two kids, and a wife. Like, oh my god, wait they write hags? Do they still do? K I T? Keep in touch and I didn't have no hags was definitely the vibe. Yeah, keep in touch, k I T. I mean I'm from them. We turned into have a great Summer. Oh okay, so

truly the most boring class. But at least we get to the feet cookies and we meet Joe and Alex Billy Burke, and then that's pretty funny. Did you think it was funny with Melissa McCarthy and Joe That was the best scene. That was the best scene in the entire uh episode. That was Melissa at her best. Yeah, Bung the Feldster, Oh god. And that the other guy was great too. I mean they just matched up beautifully. They were great, He was great, and they were just

both on fire. Those are really hard scenes to play because of the energy that's required, the speed of him in the excitement. She's just she's wonderful to watch, didn't she right times? Oh my god. It's really sad that it took her I don't know what ten years before she got what she Mike and Molly in two thousand and ten. Yeah, she was kind of blowing up at

the same time when she got Bridesmaids. But wait a minute, no, no no, she did Mike and Molly and then she did bridesmaid right, It was kind of simultaneous, so it was sort of like she probably had shot Bridesmaids. I don't know. She had to fight to get Mike and Molly. That was a Warner Brothers show, and she still had to fight to get that well, and she was very secondary in Bridesmaids. She was not Yeah, yeah, but she won an oscar? Didn't she got not? Didn't she win

or she got nominated. Somebody's gonna have to look that. I think she won an oscar. She was nominated for an Oscar. For bridesmaid she won the Emmy. Oh, somebody's gonna it's a movie. Mike and Molly was from sixteen in Bridesmaids was even so yeah the beginning to She has won two Oscars, one for Best Actress in nineteen, which was from a movie that weird movie where she was like a book librarian or plagiarizing people. Best Supporting

and best Supporting in for Bridesmaids. I believe you because Bridesmaids come out, Oh yeah, that would make I mean, but I agree with you. That scene, you're like, they were making it so funny, and then it was funny to see Lora like, oh what about fat So and Bruiser Bacon or whatever she was saying, like they're kind of doing the bid. Yeah right, yeah, she she's gotta she's gotta be honey, honey youngman. Throughout her entire waking,

she was best supporting for Bridesmaids, right, best supporting. Yeah, and she won. Right small part, guys, her part was not that big. The most memorable like scenes, that's the thing, right, did you notice something at the end of that scene when they're at the so the scene where it's Suki and Joe talking about the Feldster and the whole thing, and then Billy Burke, Alex and Loraaly are chatting and then he walks away and they're looking they're looking behind

each other. He looks back and then he goes on, and then she looks back and it was like, I think he's a cutie. I agree, same. All right, So we're back at the cafeteria in Paris and Rory your friends and parents of drinking our red bull and Rory's having our handsons. Oh you know what's got you go? First? Start? You gotta say I forgot about Handson's, Like I was watching the episode, like do they still sell them? I don't know. It sort of became Lacroix. Don't you think

I love the handsOn anyway? Sorry, Hanson was filled with sugar, but we have to google and everything scot sugar. What isn't filled with sugar? Yogurt's got shared her apple sauces water. I'm talking about brand name soft drinks. Yeah, but did you know yogurt and apple sauce are just like for sure everything bread, breadhash, sugar just like turn to sugar. You know, salt has sugar in it, pepper sugar. I love sugar some Uh, Scott, here's my question for you.

So you're doing a cafeteria scene right like that, right, and we hear them talking, but we hear ambient noise right after scene in the cafeteria at Chiltern So Paris and where you're sitting there and they're talking and you hear them perfectly, but you also know you're in the cafeteria. Is that added later? Oh wow? Okay, so it's very quiet in there they do their lines. Yeah, they're all

they're all miming. They're all background miming. They're not making I mean, they make a tiny little bit of noise they have to when they move or they lift or whatever. But you know, the first a D is like everybody in the background quiet and just moving your mouths, no words, don't click your forks on the plate, don't move around too much. You know this kind of god, background acting is so hard, like even when I just opened my drink, it makes noise, like we're not good at that. You

couldn't do that in the background scene. You don't open up a can and you can't have a science experiments going on. Yeah, we don't really watch the background noise on this. Can everybody hear my phone beeping in the other room? It's so bad? Okay, so the plane comes in. Now we've set up the parking lot meeting, which we kind of talked about. I knew Francie was full of crap. Oh yeah, oh yeah bombed. Rory fell for it me too. I thought she was, you know, smarter. Yeah, Jesus, she

got sucked in. She but that's her nature. She she she wants to be friends, she wants to be positive, she wants to trust people. Yeah, like last week we saw her defending pairs and then now it's like she's still in the middle where she's like naive and trying to help at some time. Yeah, and Francis like no more fighty fight e and then like Rory shook her hand. Friends sort of, it was such a b Yes, did you know? It was a weird choice. And I don't know if it was like directed or what she starts

putting on eyeliner. That's a random. I kind of liked it because that was her stick Like she was all about like the hem on the skirt, and I was like her the photos. I just wrote my notes. I don't believe her. Don't fall for that. All right, Okay, So now we're at the end and Suki realizes she's on a date, and that was freaking hilarious. Um, I'm a whore. That's nice. Favorite line of the whole episode is, yeah, that's up there for me. You know what was gross? Though?

You guys tell me you guys noticed the grossest thing ever? What thank from kitchen? Yes? Um to gross things. Joe did not wash his hands and started cutting up personally grosser than that, they take the spoon to taste. They they do that all the time though in this show, like Suba's all the time. That's so gross. Please tell me they don't do that in real kitchens. Has anyone here worked in a rail restaurant? Like, I know you owned our scot but like, have you ever worked in

a restaurant? God? Yeah? Many? Were you a waiter? Ever? Yes? I was a waiter in God? Where was I? No? I never really did those jobs when I lived in New York, Um, what did I was a waiter in North Carolina. I was I sucked at it. I really was, Oh my god, wait, were you guys ever waiters? I worked every job you can imagine. I worked only at Lord's ice Cream And like, I'm sure we did gross stuff it. Like I used to say, I used to sell Cartridge Inc. To offices at five am printing printer

two people who didn't lamp this Life of a Star. Right, all right, so Joe's there. What if we think about that whole sort of back and forth. I thought it was cute. I thought it was cute. I also was like, this is so suki or shoot, just go right over her head, like had no clue what she was signing up for. That guy was darling. We kind of get through that, and then we had to Luke's. We see Luke and you ran out of food. No, it was just his fault. It was the only mentioned of just

this episode. He was supposed to the food. He was given the responsibility. He didn't fulfill it. Something Luke's ever giving him that responsibility. But yet, what you gotta you know, how is he gonna learn responsibility unless you can depend on him, and you know he screwed up. True, Okay, I will say it was a little um, what's the right word, not tough, but like I definitely missed just and Dean in this episode. Yeah, this episode was a

little flat, wasn't it. It lacked real punch and I know that they tried to provide the kitty punch with with the Paris and Francine and Rory stuff, but it just didn't. It just just didn't miss her up when you have so many episodes back to back about Dean and Jess and then you just go to like you don't even see that. You're right, that's what's missing. Yeah, Yeah,

you're right, that's what was missing in this. You know, they got us, right, they got us kind of addicted to this whole thing, and then they just pull the rug out and it's not there, and you know, you're dealing with this sort of illogical sort of story Shenani. Yeah, and it's just but I gotta tell you, I thought the you know, minus the logic holes, it was great. It was a really seamless episode in terms of the acting. Yeah. I don't mind, no, no no, but really it did lack

some punch. I agree with you girls. Yeah, even though you guys are kind of like talking about it, it's very you know, not to dude, Like, there's not like any drama. There's not anything. It's very cute episode. There's nothing polarizing about it, like you're watching it, but there's

not really much of an opinion to be had. Yeah, right, because we also are notf so like horrified by Emily, Like we know she's kind of like bad to her employees, and we're like, look at that tracks And then I think the only gut punches when Paris and Rory are fencing and they're trying to like sort of go back and forth about this, and Harris is like, you were my best friend. I thought you were my best friend. That was like a little bit. I was sad that hurt me. Yeah. I do have to give it to

Paris for bringing her own soap to the bathroom. That was very progressive of her. Did anyway I miss that you missed it? Rewind is the bathroom scene where Francy goes up to Paris and Paris is like, you know whatever, and then she puts a soap back in her first. That's so she was ahead every time. Oh my god. All right, So then we go back to the Gilmore's and we're Emily's reading the transcripts from the deposition, which

was funny. It was funny. It was funny. But again it's like, where do you get off asking for family loyalty when you've been trashing your daughter since she's got pregnant. But imagine how humiliated Laurel I was time and time and time again knowing that her mother was stabbing her in the back to all her friends and all of Richard and Emily's friends and everybody that would listen. What

a disappointment this girl is. They do it to her face, they do it behind her back, year after year after year, They condescend to her year after year after year, and then all of a sudden, Hey, I need you right. Do you make an excellent point? You make a completely excellent valid point for me. On top of that is, why are you having somebody tested by on your behalf that you know thinks you're a bad boss. I don't get that. Well, it just shows how much of a

bubble Emily lives in. You know, how completely I mean, people throw around this word too much I think narcissistic. She is, but self centered and the world revolves around her and so on and so forth. I mean, my god, this is this is the girl that you just criticize had nausea. I do love when Emily reads it back to Laura was like, yeah, that didn't sound pretty bad. Huh. Like She's like, oh, yeah, that's probably why I shouldn't

have said that, and she just goes on so many tangents. Squashes, gross, the blood drid ended up happening in the cafeteria. Didn't Rory stop that? And then I thought she lost the fight or something, because Francy was like, I know the code or whatever, like the you know, yeah, but then they said like dismissed, like they dismissed it. I don't know. I thought that was It's not my favorite episode. I don't think I hated it as much as you all did.

There's just nothing really I enjoyed it too. I agree, I enjoyed watching it. I got some chuckles out of it, but when the illogic stuff started popping, it's hard to stay with it. A bad episode of Gilmore is still better than Yeah, but they set the bar so high for that show. Because there's so many like, mind blowingly great shows if one just doesn't you know the scene with Jackson and Suki when she makes him the whole fancy dinner and then he's like, you jated on me.

She's like, I accidentally flirted. She was at her best? Don't you think Melissa was really Yeah, this was a big episode for Melissa. Yeah, the last two have been big for Melissa. She's really showing off her skills. She's really really like coming into her own. Um. Yeah, she's great. And then we get the very cute little scene on the phone. Although it looked like Alex lives at Max's apartment, I'm like, did they're just like jigger max is. But I'd always like to make the boy have like a

masculine like. I don't know to like established, but anyway, I thought that was very cute. I loved her pink and red sweater as she's talking to him and she's very flirty, and I love the little back and forth. And then I love how the camera goes outside and you see her still talking, you hear her still talking, and the fire very cute. So that's cute. It was so cute. I think it's setting us up for some good episodes to come. I could be done with Francy.

I could have been done last week. Yeah, she should have been gone after Rory went up to her in the bathroom. I could have That could have been the end. If you're gonna play mean girl, you have to play at Regina George style or just not at all. Yeah, which one's Regina George the blondie and mean girl? Yeah, Rachel mcgth, Rachel mcgatheth, you have to play it like her. That's a very good point because they she started off like a house on fire. That character. I remember how

an hour we were. That character had great potential to be really fun and interesting. Yeah, she's too evil. It's like Harris was sort of evil. She was likable. Yeah, and the made thing was funny, but didn't like kind of You got some good jokes out of it, definitely. The deposition thing was funny. It was fun. It was great, but it wasn't It didn't have the heft of like a Gilmour episode, you know, it didn't have it right.

I would say the part I liked was Suki and Joe, because I also like that someone else liked Suki, but we haven't seen that, and that was cute and makes the marriage kind of cuter. And then I like that we're getting a new love interest for lowera Lie because I feel like it's time. So we're coming off that last episode right where we were so just on fire. We're coming off of just wait, No, I messed up?

What comes after Thanksgiving? Oh? The Fair, the Winter Fair. Yeah, we're coming off the Dean, the Dean, the West Side Story, Dean and Jess confrontation. Right, we're coming off that stuff. Where is that? Well, guys, it's the it's the early ots. So this was back in the day when February episodes were more important, and we're just in January and November episodes because these were the days of sweeps and those were your big guns you brought out. That was how

you termined your advertisers. So it was like, think about it, the Thanksgiving episode and the dance episode. Definitely, we're in November and we're in January right now, which is always going to be sort of the episodes Anuary. And that was pretty good. I have six words. It's give me Luke. Jess and Dean. First of all, uh, you know they're going away from their looks like they're going away from

their strength too much. They're sitting there there, big bats on the bench and they're not getting in the game. And you got to watch the B team, you know, and it's it's but it's like you're you're asking, you know, all these minor characters to lift the show. It's like we're missing like you know, Bet and everyone around town, like those little fun you know, Kirk, all of them. I like that they gave Suki a big moment because that was enjoyable. CHRISTI. If it wasn't for Suki, I

would have turned this thing off. See. I like the Billie Burke stuff, but I could have done away with Francy. I don't need her. I don't care about her. I like the other two, Madeline and Louise way better. I don't need Francy. Melissa. Melissa stole this episode. She just absolutely owned this episode. I barely even have a favorite line other than the peeved bit. I thought Jackson. I thought Jackson was great too. Yeah, it was his best work so far. He was he was right with her.

You know, she's she's challenging. It's hard to keep up with her. She's she's going a million mills and imagine being her scene partner. You better. But you know, the thing is, Melissa's so giving and so generous as an actress that she's giving you so much you can't help. But look in you know what I mean. She she raises your game. So you know what else I like? Is it? Like? So there was like a shout out

when they're in the student council meeting to Choke. I like that the references are real places, like that's a real private school, will very similar to children, and they always do that. So I also respect that choke Rosemary Hall. Yeah, where is Choke? I forget, but it's very it's like children. It's in It's either in Connecticut or New York, right, one of those? Yeah, I think it's Connecticut. Oh yeah, Connecticut, Wellingford, Connecticut. Did you guys have favorite lines? I mean yeah, mine

was Suki's I'm a whore? Right I accidentally flirted? That was funny. Yeah. I like the the something me say peeved? Yeah, that was mine. Now I have to think of another one. Um god, you know what my favorite line is. Let's just go to pop culture. Thank you. It's going to be my favorite line. I don't want to talk about this episode anymore. What episode is next week? I don't mind when you don't love one, because we can't just be so we love it all. That's that's fair. But listen, listen,

I'm being too harsh on it. I think I don't know, you know what. I'm in a bad mood. I'm leaving, you know, because I had to pack tonight and get on a plane and I'm going away all summer and I'm gonna miss my boy and I'm I'm upset. You know. Well, that's fair, that's fair, But you're also correct, like this wasn't It wasn't the best episode, perfect storm. He's all sad.

He just needs like a little he needed like the best episode ever, and he got kind of the like needed a better episode than this to cheer me up. But you know, look, I was engaged through the whole thing. I thought it was wonderfully constructed episode. It was. It was well shot, well beautifully acted so much, you know it. I wasn't going to turn it off. I was. I was engaged, but I just didn't think it. I was missing a lot of people. Yeah, I agree, I was

missing a lot of people. So you know, it's a big cast. It's hard to get them all in right. And I think I think as a show runner, you want to you want to spread the wealth around, you know what I mean? And you figure you've got a full season order and we're doing great. It's two thousands three, We're on a roll. We gotta hit show, I can, you know, Let's give these other people a chance to really shine. So that's kind of cool, right, So I shouldn't, I shouldn't be so judgy about the show, but I

just don't. I just don't like a logic. And I also like that we're not here to just love every second of this. We might have things that we don't like. We have many great episodes to come, by the way, this is like just the beginning. What's next? Season three, episode twelve, Lore Light out of Water. All right, here's here's what stood out a minute second marker ten fifty

clown pillow appearance Ladies and Gentlemen number two. Guess who was the voice of Emily's lawyer on Laurelize Answering Machine. You don't tell us a famous person? Well, obviously it could have been like it could have been like um, when Dan Palladino was the like guy climbing the clock tower or whatever that was. Tell us, I don't know,

Seth McFarlane, no, oh my god. Um okay. So, the actor that played Suki's friend Joe, also appeared in season one as the waiter at a fancy restaurant where loaurel I had her blind date with Roon. Oh the butter, the butter. The actor's name is Joe Freya. Uh okay. Number four. I want you to notice how Paris brings her own soap to the bathroom. Danielle nice perfect I did not notice that. Um At the number five at the beginning of the fencing scene, Louise has her hair

in curlers that I did notice that. Okay, so there you go. Anyway, Thanks everybody for downloading. Uh hey, maybe not our favorite, maybe it wasn't the Gilmore's best, but it was better than everything else that we've seen so in other shows. Thank you, Danielle, thank you Tara, thank you Amy, see you later. We'll see you down the road. Everybody, stay safe.
