I am all in. Let's just you. I am all in with Scott Patterson and I Heart Radio Podcast. Hey everybody, Scott Patterson, I am all in podcast our Heart Radio one eleven productions, and today we're gonna do a little special Oh I did not welcome our very very special panel, Riley pollution. Oh no, I'm going to Daniel Romo. Hello. I think she's on the the the aft deck of her yacht, one of her yachts, and Amy Sugarman calling
in from one of her many homes for this today. Actually, it's it's it's so we're gonna do some Q and A tell tell us what's going on today. Well, we compiled some really really really good questions from everyone listening fans. Maybe I threw a few of my own in there for you to give us more inside dirt juice. Uh in between seasons because we wanted to like give everyone a minute to catch up. Next week we are coming
back massive with season three. But this is just you know, to give us a little bit of a nice tie tie it up with a bow. Because we are the hardest working road crew and podcast and we were laying down, slapping down three episodes a week we do it? How do we do it? I don't know how we do it? Daniel? What are we going to call it? Should we? Should we call this the season two Q and A wrap party? First of all, Daniel, are you in charge of the
naming things? Because that's a really clever man. You know what. I'm here, I'm ready to party. I'm ready to have our rap party and answer these Q and A questions. Okay, so trialed up. You know what shocked me the most. So obviously we're coming off of the season too for now, and I don't know if Scott will be shocked by this, but I actually was surprised, even though I don't feel this way. People really dislike Christopher. They literally do not
like Christopher and Ly together. They do not like that he calls her lower, even though I love it. Amy, Can I just stop you here for a second. Listen, here's something that I know. No, I'm not shocked. Okay, Listen, anything or anyone that tries to drive a wedge between Luke and Laureli is going to get a lot of hate. That's all there is, don't I mean even my daughter, my own daughter, April, right, I know they do not care for my daughter Dane's blood running through her veins.
Danielle's face is like, should I read some of these common good you guys, You guys, huddle up. They used the vomit like they I've never seen the vomit emojis. This is much. This is an engaged fan base. This is a dedicated They want what they want, and they want it now, and they want Luke and Lorelai together. In that regard, they don't like being messed with, with the whole, with the with the with the sleeve, with the with the with the with the T shirts and
the fawning over the Christopher start. They don't want it. They don't like the gold, the angelic locks, and the and the perma smile. They don't know. Let me read some of these for you. Sue's boop fifty eight says, when I hear him called Lord, La Lord, it makes my skin crawl. Um, Amy, you got some hate in this one, pr Amy. Why did you spoil it for Danielle? Let her experience it without without hands as much as possible. Really,
lots of hate. Christopher'soit emoji bombit emoji, like lots of vomit emoji, is also the one with the emoji with a mask over its mouth, um vomit emoji. Although I there, you know, buried in there. From like every fifteen bad comments, you get a good one that's like, you know what, I wouldn't mind if Lorla ended up with Christopher. I think that that happens when people have some kind of episode in their lives and they lose their grip on
reality or their ability to reason. No, I'm just kidding, Well, I love this person. It's they did multiple vomit emoji. It was so and that's Amy Sugarman on emoji she plays there. We'll get into these questions, but like respect to everybody that comments on the Instagram because they they pulled through with the genius nous, like it is so good? What else? What else you got? What else you got?
Are you ready? Christopher is garbage. He's a selfish person and a double dad and because of that, I find be very unlikable and not someone you want to root for. And he only gets worse and worse and worse as the show goes on when he and I'm not going to ruin it. I'm not going to read the rest of that comment because it's going to ruin it for me. But poor guy man, he just signed he got a job, he signed up to do a role, right, garbage? Did he know what he was walking Did David know what
he was walking into? Here? Oh? My god? Because I love Christopher, I stand by it. We know where You're not walking back those comments. This one is like he is a spoiled, manipulative man. He was young when he had Rory, but he's well into his thirties now. Unless it fits into his life, he is not having it. It's tough to enjoy a kiss of a guy who acts like he has a right in the decisions of how Lorelei raises Rory well said, but also, I'm still
team Christopher. But like, you know what, what did you just say him? On I Am all in? You just you just made an incredible statement on I am all in with Scott Patterson your team CHRISTI Did you just say that you were team Christopher? End? I'm Luke and Lorely I'm about to take off the cantel. Where are you right now? I'm Luke and Lorelei forever like forever. But I don't hate Christopher. Okay, you can't be team Christopher though you know what team Christopher amongst the Max Medina,
the Styles, what's his name, Harry Styles, Jason Siles. I know that one is in Gilmore Girls, and one is the rock star Harry Style. But he shows up, we're gonna call him Harry Daniel. Let's call him Harry. You know why not Harry? But yeah, I mean so I can see your team Christopher amongst those people, those those that category of mail Homo sapiens. Okay, but Luke, isn't it. It's not a team, Luke, it's just what is? It's the truth? Correct? Correct? All right? I just wanted everybody
to be clear on that anyway. Okay, guys, he's in the hot seat, a hot seat, what's going on? I don't even know what this is? What you answer questions? Yeah, these are fan questions. Yes, and as you can tell from before, the fans are oozing with passion, some passionate questions. God, are they going to stop me? I hope not. Okay, So first we have a question. I can always I can sorry, but I can always say so long ago. Just don't remember your Wikipedia ready, get ready to like
something that's fun to listen to. I don't be here typing, no, you did it. That first question we have is the seven Why is there a guitar in Luke's apartment? It's visible in multiple episodes that show Luke's apartment starting from season one. Does that mean Luke plays guitar? Was it included in Luke's apartment as a nod to you, Scott? Was there anything else in Luke's apartment that was a
nod to you? In every contract that I have negotiated in my illustrious Hollywood career, one of the add ons is there must be a guitar on any set that I am. Is that true? No, that's you're a good actor, dude, because I totally believed you. I think it was. Yeah, it was just a character thing. Every you know, everybody dabbles, right, there was probably and in my character history, and what I told Amy was, yeah, he's a bit of a
guitar player. I think she got to know me and she realized that I grew up playing the guitar, and it was it had significant meaning for me, as it does most people to pick up a guitar. So yeah, it's a a very very meaningful prop to the point where it was almost a character So okay. Next one is from Meta. When Luke gets mad or frustrated in turns quiet, he crosses his arms and puts his head down and physically becomes a ball before he blows up. Scott,
was this an acting choice by you? You know, yes, and I but it's it's really not something that's it's it's it's always in the moment because you're trying to stay within the scene of of uh that has that kind of energy in it, um, you know, and there's conflict, it's just sort of you know, like I said in the previous podcast, all about behavior, what organically will happen and what organically do you feel? And you just sort of let your body behave just like you would in
a normal situation. It's not you're not tied down by the dialogue. You're just sort of free of it and free with it, and you're responding and behaving in a way that is appropriate for the that situation. That's really is it's all instincts. So it's yeah, do you get totally immersed Like when you're doing a scene and you're like it's not like you're going, what's my next line, what's my next You're like completely in it. Oh wow, No, it really you know, the lines just come you know,
I'm cold anyway. Um, but it's really it's a rehearsed type of behavior. It's a behavior that you sort of found the roadmap to in the rehearsal process. Uh. And it's just sort of it's sort of gels in in the the end of the rehearsal process, in the first couple of takes for me. Um. So yeah, I mean it's just sort of it has a shape. It's the shape of the scene. That's what we call it. We call it shaping the scene and and finding our cues and finding our blocking and finding the behavior and it's
all gotta and it all just sort of comes together. Yeah. Yeah, it is kind of cool. It's very cool. I love it. I mean I love I love the rehearsal process more than anything because that's when all the discovery happens. You know. It's wonderful. Oh that's interesting. You build the scene with your partner, with your scene part whoever is in the scene.
You're building it with a director, you're just sort of and it's I love that all that back and forth and all that information that's flying back and forth and choices. So did you love doing scenes with Milo? Oh? Yeah, God, like he was just awesome. Yeah, everybody was great. I mean everybody was great to work with. I mean everybody's operating at a very high level, and you know, the discussions were pretty much the same tenor because everybody was
speaking the same sort of language of the theater. Right. It's it's all about motivation, and you know, if somebody had a problem they can't walk over there because they can't motivate it, well, then we'd solve that problem. So it's, um, it's it's should a lot of credit be given to the casting person who was so on the top of his or her game, because it seems like you all love each other so much and you're all still close, and like, who who gets the credit for hiring such
amazing people? Is it the casting director or does that go even above? I think it goes with casting. I think it goes with Amy and Dan because I think they have final say on everybody. I remember being in the room initially when I read for the pilot with Amy and who else was there? Gampalone and Leslie Lincoln Gladder who was directing the pilot, Um and there was just you know, she's got to feel something right. I mean,
you know when it's right. And I guess you know, it was one of I walked into a lot of rooms and prior to that, and the feeling wasn't there, and they didn't feel that I was right. But I walked into that room and they it was really right. Um. Yeah, So that it's that's got a click with the creator, you know, or the director or you know, it's got
a click with the room. And and that's and that's why I was so surprised I didn't get Reservoir Dogs because it really clear I felt really click with Tarantino and bender makes sense. So I have a question, and I'm sorry to steal. I'll stop after this. Have you ever met or heard from anyone maybe that we that was recognizable that auditioned for Luke? You know how you always hear like these ten people were up for a
certain part, like was there anyone else? Because look, you are Luke and they were right, But was there anyone else that you know went in and read for it? There was a guy at another audition like a like two thousand and twelve or two thousand and thirteen, and we were sitting in in the waiting room waiting to go in to read for the director, and he I forget who he was, but he wasn't like a known he wasn't a known celebrity kind of guy. He didn't he told you, but he told me. He goes. You know,
I was there that day. I remember when you came in. I remember what you were wearing. And I kind of said to myself, that guy is going to get the role. He said, you had this air and he said, I did a great job. I really prepared it. But I just I knew you were going to get that role. I was not surprised when when when I read it, Wow, very cool. Yeah, a cool guy too. He was a really really good guy. So thank you. A guy whoever you are, wherever you are, probably John Hamm and I,
you know, I don't because he did. Didn't doesn't John ham Come on, isn't he's he's he's got an episode? Yeah? Where he Yeah? Okay, keep going. Next s up, we have question from Mandarilla Scott from an actor's perspective, how did your character grow from season one to the end of season two? Um, I think he put on a little weight. I think he grew in Tonnage too much craft service. I'm not kidding. I think I started out
the role. I think season the pilot I was about one, and by the end of season two I was to ten too many red vines out there, No, no, no, no. I was working out more. Also, it was like Muscily, Yeah, oh sure it was. It wasn't it wasn't so bad. Oh no, Well, it was a combination of mass quantities of food, and I just started working out more because the reason I was working out more was because I wanted to be I wanted to feel really fit and healthy when I came on set, because then I started
realizing what kind of a grind I was involved in. Right, it was my first series regular role and I wasn't twenty right, So so I said, okay, so let's get in the gym and get in shape. Was there a moment for you, Scott when you were like, I am Luke, Like I know Luke. Now, I am comfortable really being Luke as soon as I read the script, as soon as I read the first scene of Luke. Because that's why that's that's gotta be. Then that makes sense why you got it, Because you're like, I got this. Yeah,
I couldn't imagine anybody else playing it. And I remember when I really vibe was something that I'm reading an audition and I start rehearsing the first scene right away. When I'm reading it and seeing how it's going to sound, That's when I know it's it's it's good for me. Um. If I don't do that, and if I'm still trying to find you know something about the character that I can hook into them, that's usually when I don't get it. You shouldn't, You're not right for it. So this spoke
to me. It's actually screamed at me. It said, I am the role you have been waiting for, and it was deafening. Yeah. Absolutely, Yeah. Next one is from Bella. What was more surprising the fact that Rory and just kissed or that Sherry was pregnant. That's a great question. That that is a great question. You know that I was surprised by both of those things. Uh. I was delighted by the kiss because I thought it really enhanced, uh the story, It deepened the story, it complicated the story.
It left us with a a nice feeling and nice that was a nice balanced type of a cliffhanger. The pregnancy thing, I wasn't expecting because I just thought it was I don't know, I just thought it was ham handed in some way. It wasn't my favorite moment in the show from a from a writer's perspective. So but what else could they do? You know, what did you think? Because Danielle, it's hard for me to answer because I've seen this so many times. Danielle, you're watching it for
the very first time. What shocked you more? I was shocked that Sherry was pregnant. I knew Rory and Jess we're going to kiss like that was just only a matter of time. Was waiting for it to happen, was waiting for him to come back to town, like I saw that coming. But Sherry being pregnant, you got me there. The thing, the thing that surprised me most about the Jess Rory kissing scene was that Dean didn't whoosh through the middle of it on a trapiece with a sign
saying hands off my girl, my girl. I knew you were vision or is in the background just like flipping out silent. You know, that kiss was so well done, though, because it was like whoa you're here, kiss, double kiss, run, and then just as you're like, oh my god, she's freaking out, she's running away, she turns with the welcome home. So you're like, that was a happy girl, such a such a well done. And I'll tell you the great
part about it for me wasn't just a kiss. It was just the look on Jesse's face when he arrived and they locked eyes. He looked like he really needed a hug and a kiss. Yeah, that's why he was there. I mean it was just as vulnerable and fullhearted as he could possibly be at that stage in his life. And it's like, I love you, Rory, please, let's I wish she would kiss me, and she did. I came back for you. It's also like I came back, you know,
like here I am. I came back because of you. Anyway, Poor Deine, Dean Dean up a tree falling, poor guy. I love Jared though, and I love how Jared loves Dean, do you know what I mean? Even still to this day, Jared's had so much success, you can tell he really holds a special place for Dean and always talks about him in interviews and always answers the questions. It's really sweet how all the cast has that he's great in that role. I mean, he really is a talent. He
was a talented young cat, you know, eighteen. I didn't realize how good he was until I started watching you know, still until I started doing this podcast, because I'd walk around it. What's a big deal with this case? You know, what's what's the big deal? But now I know. Keely wants to know Scott so far, which guest star has made the biggest impact on you watching the season's back?
That is another epic question. Which guest star that I've had on the podcast or which guest star in the ship that I'm witnessing on the show most of them yea god? Which which guests start repeat the question again? Could you counselor thank you? Of course I can use it in a sentence and a phrase, has somebody turned on the air conditioner? Thank you? Kiely wants to know Scott's so far, which guest star has made the biggest impact on you watching the season's back? Guest star? Guest star?
Um got the biggest, the biggest impression? Uh no, guest star, guest star. I mean somebody that just popped in for one episode, not a recurring character, alright, so that wipes out a whole list of people. Uh guest star. Gosh, I gotta say Rune. Oh that's a great answer. Yeah, because I enjoyed I enjoyed him so much when he came on the podcast. Um, and I just enjoyed hanging with him on the set. He was he was a
ton of fun. He's a unique personality for sure. Are all heart and soul and he's and he's he's funny as i'll get out. So and I just I love that character. I just love that character. I mean, it was nice to see Jane Lynch, Papa, remember that when Richard had the heart attack. That was kind of kind of didn't have a huge impact on me, you know the way that the run did. But yeah, I agree, that's that Alex Borstein, I guess we can count her m hmm. Was she was she a guest stor yeah,
because she was in like two episodes. I don't really I don't I remember her in the in the episodes of Netflix things, but I don't remember in the show. Um, I do remember Jane Lynch. She was very uh professional. Uhc Seth, you love Seth McFarlane. I wasn't. Yes, yes, he's right, you know what You're okay, all right, that's the guy. He's my number one. I would say run and Seth, and I'm blanking on Max Pearlock. Max Pearl, I can sell right neck and neck for number one.
You're absolutely correct. Epic question, great answers, Yeah, okay. Next question is from Catherine. Do you think the reason why Emily cannot keep a maid is because she keeps trying to fill a hole from losing Laurel, and thus nobody can take the place of her daughter. That's really deep. It's like Laurel as with a duster, Laura Lei with the cleaning products, cleaning like, nobody can clean Emily's soul, So she's got to keep trying to find I don't
know that's that's a that's quite a theory. I'm not a licensed therapist, so I don't I'm not trained as a psychologist. I don't know if there's a connection there, but there could be. I mean, it's a I just think not just maids, but anybody else she mistreats. Uh, And I think it's it's it's so ingrained in her. The frustration and the angst is so ingrained in her over the sixteen years that she's just gonna snap at everybody. And I don't know, maybe she was like this before.
Maybe she did have this sort of abusive side to herself which drove Laurel I away and didn't want to become that person who knows. But I like the perspective though there because that's interesting. It is that is an interesting thing. Like I've had people that work with me for twenty years. I've worked with Ryan Seacrest for thirty years, So like there is it is interesting that she has
so much turnover. There must be something more complicated to it that maybe Amy was fascinated with because she wrote
it in there must be something there. So she couldn't get Laurel I. She couldn't train laurel She didn't train Laureli the way she wanted to train Laurel I to obey, and she can't train any maids to do exactly what she wants, so she keeps trying, you know what, Okay, yeah, I accept that now, yes, yeah, or yeah, or maybe we just start to get that Emily is so complicated, she's not easy to work for it might be more on the nose, you know what I mean. But yeah,
I totally accept that theory. I think it's a I wouldn't mind it pulling the audience on that one. Yeah, that seems interesting. It is interesting. It's an interesting take. Yeah. Next we have up from Klein, Mari fractures her wrist. Did you notice stars Hollow has an e r I did in that episode or was it an urgent care? Yeah? I get the vibe. It's like an urgent care. I don't think anybody's doing surgery over there. I don't think it's cedars. Yeah, I think it's a couple of volunteers
and urgent care. They're they're in bed at their homes and then they come in the right. Where did they take Richer? Well, that was that was in Hartford? Right? Where did he have his heart attack? Oh? Yeah, you're right, you're right, you're right. Not course, it wasn't he had it at home or something or at the office. And I don't know. Um, yeah, that was hard for it. Mhmm. Okay. Next one is from Holly. Emily and Richard's house is so different from season to season and how Laura, La
and Rory have a piano. Why would sets change if it would mess up the show's continuity as they saying, there was a piano there and initially and then it was gone or a piano was added. Maybe they sold the piano. I don't know, nobody played anyway. Yeah, I mean, let me do so like when you guys are gone for the summer but you're on hiatus, do they break down the set and let someone else use that studio? Could that be the reason for change? So maybe if
they've rented it out. Yeah, I mean, look, the studio is in the business of renting out their facilities to productions. Not all of them are on the lot have deals on the lot, And if they do have deals on the lot, it depends on their deal how much they pay and rent for that stage. Right. These are massive stages, right, and you've got to hire a construction crew to build your sets. So but it's you know, they take these sets apart in pieces and then they store them and
then they reconstruct them. You know, it's not like they have to start from scratch and repaint and retool everything. You know. But you know, if you've got a big movie production coming in, yeah there, you know, if Tom Cruise wants a jungle. You know, he's gonna get it lauralize how it's gonna go on ice for the summary, you know what I mean. Um, yeah, So they do
that very quickly. It's it's kind of amazing. I remember one day, Uh, speaking of Tom Cruise, he was there was that movie where he was, Um, I don't know, it's the eighteen hundreds. It was China, in China, The Last Samurai or something like that. Yeah, so they did the uh, some of the exteriors of these villages in China, exteriors of these villages in China right on the back lot where we would shoot. So we were walking through these these wild sets to get to the town hall
meeting or to Luke's diner. It was it was kind of cool. Uh, nobody I did see Tom Cruise, but we did not look at him very long. We weren't allowed to sidebar. I have to interject you guys watched the new trailer for Top Gun. I just saw it this morning. It looks fantastic And I just saw the I was watching the original last night and I think it's fantastic. It's so good. First of all, Maverick, no one likes you because you're you're you're unsafe. I'm not
gonna lie. When I saw ice Man's photo on the wall and I realized, Oh my god, this is how they're working. Iceman back in. Iceman is the one bringing Maverick back. Yes, real tears, real tears, I know. I literally physically cried and out loud my mouth said, Oh of course. Oh so and Miles and Miles Tellers, Anthony Edwards Son, Yes, who's coming back to? Oh and the and the the flying stuff looks so cool. Oh my god,
it looks like a real It looks so good. Looks like a movie we waited two years that was supposed to come out in Yeah. Yeah, no, I know it's going to be a big blockbuster. Man, that thing looks really cool. Sorry, no, no, that's good. Yeah. That's next up we have from Julie. Her question is regarding the sign for Luke's Diner. It says William's Hardware. Why wouldn't it be Dane's Hardware since it was his father's store.
Was Luke's original name Luke Williams. That is, his father's first name is William, So that's why it's Williams Hardware. It's not a last name missing the apostrophe. That makes total sense. You know, We've had a fifty people ask us that question. It's Williams, like Williams of Postops, like like Luke's hardware, like Luke's the same thing. It's like Bill's hardware, just Williams. I would preferred Bill's hardware. Bill, Yeah, okay.
Next one is from Sasha. When a scene is being filmed with you in the background talking to other actors on set, what are you actually saying to the other person. I've always wondered if they make pretend lines up or if the actors just talked about their own lives. Is awkward when you have to do this. So when we're visible in the background but not engaged in dialogue, we are not talking. We are not allowed. We're not allowed. Yes, we are miming. It's called miming. Can you do it
for us right now? Like, because do you do it like this? No, you don't do it like that. You do it like wow. Wait okay wait, that's how you do it, get so much better at it than us? Wait? Wait, this is genius. Okay, So Scott okay, okay, so Scott right, okay, you talk talk something, and Riley and I are going to pretend we're like background all right, let me. I have to see this. I have to see this. Degrade
you on your performance. Okay, okay, So Riley, you and I are going to pretend we're talking to each other. All right. So this will be a scene in Luke's diner. You're doing some kind of monologue and we're in the diner eating. Let me get my drink. Are you ready? Okay? Tell us action? All right? Camera ready, actors ready? Action anyway, So Taylor, let me tell you something. Pal, you don't get out of my that's really that's okay. Cut, No, I don't know what we are we going to too much? Yeah? Okay,
so can we do it again? It's too much and it's too negative. It's too much and it's too negative. It's distraction to negative because you were like, you know that could be interpreted as my bad acting. You're like this Seene stinks and you don't want to do that. So director would stop you deadness tracks and I did, thank you give it again? Do it again? Okay? What can I get you? Wait? Can you give us an action? For God's sake? Professional you're telling me to be professional. Okay,
thank you. And Action uh yeah, we got uh. I can get you anything you need. We got hamburgers, we got steaks. There's a menu right there. Okay, just stop, Okay, Amy, what are you doing? You look like you're in a scene from Gone with the Wind, Like what's happening with the over acting? So funny because I feel like I'm doing awesome, Like I feel like and that's what people
on set think too. And then when they're stopped, I feel like I was trying to say to Briley, like you want something like so just ask her what's with all the facial moves one more time? Chill out your face? Bro? Like well it's like, I mean, all of a sudden, you know. Okay, and Action, Hey yeah, what can I get you? Rory? Oh yeah, all right, okay, I gotta stop you again. You know what the problem is, Amy, You have too much personality. It's just it's just it
just you can't you can't help it. You can't help yourself. I'll tell you this right now. You are not a background person. You're a star. That's so much. That's the problem. The weirdest part is I felt like I was nailing. I literally in my body is like I am at this. You were you were the extra that thinks that you were the extra that thinks of the star. You were the extra that thinks that the cameras on you. And it's not I cannot wait to see it because I
don't know what I was doing. And here's here's another funny thing. You know, background acting is really you know, it's a real art in and of itself, right, And like a lot of people that are first time background people and they're in the diner and we're having a big scene. You know, they're moving their mouths but they're actually talking, and that's not good. Right of course you can pick you can pick up and we can hear it too. When we're trying to be in a scene.
It's like right, right, right, so the direct right, so the director will go cut and they're banging their forks on their plates and like really eating, and you're like, the director comes out and say, guys, can you okay, no sound coming out of your mouths and stop banging the works on the plates And it's not like really eating. You've gotta be real careful with the noises you make
because the sound picks up. The sound guy picks up everything, and he'll be standing there with his arms shaking because he's been doing it all day, and he'll just he'll just drop a set and go, oh no, we gotta cut, you know, And the director comes out and talks to people and then they kind of get it. But some people just do it through the whole day. They're like, we need to get another Remember we had the one background actor on. I think I just sent you a
TikTok from another one. Let's get another one on so we can ask all our new questions. Okay, it's really an art. I mean it's the sign of a great director is directing background two. You know, watch watch If you don't notice the background that's a great director. If you notice them and there's too too obvious in the scene, it's not good. So should I put this video on my reel for my background acting audition? You should not. No, you should lock that away a secret place that nobody
knows about and throw away the case. Should I stay with podcasting even though people are like, I hate her, this is your strength strength podcast. You do the podcasting. Let that personality run amuck all over the place. Don't try to silence don't try to silence yourself. It doesn't work. I gave you, I gave you three shots. It was actually really fun. You're too expressive. You're too expressive. Was
Riley good? I was so distracted by your bad backgrounding that I didn't notice Riley, which so the answer is, yes, Riley was really good. And that's not to say she's a wallflower. Maybe she just kind of gets it. You know. It's like when you felt like when you wanted to leave a party and you're like someone's facing your like right, No, it's not like, m oh, that was good. You had to put that up on the Instagram. All you guys don't know what it's like to be on a zoom.
I just keep looking it like I'm trying to get skinnier in the zoom. The people that ask for the full podcast, you're like sometimes I'm like all the whole podcast, thank you so much everyone you asked for that, Like, where can I watch it? It's just like, oh god, no, look like oh gosh U. Next, we have a question from Amelia. She says how long of a break was there between filming seasons Alextion Alexis really matured between season two finale and the first episode of season three, which
we'll see. Huh um, Well, it's just like high school. You go, you go through your academic year, and then you take summer vacation. It's the same same schedule. Christmas breaks everything, Yeah, Thanksgiving a whole It's like being in high school again, which is three months off an accurate depiction. What's that? Yeah, and did you typically chill or did you go and do like other projects? Uh? No, I was. I was working a lot, not in the beginning, but I saw now that was why was that? That was?
That was after season seven, the first one I did, and that's when I found out. That's when I found out the series was canceled. I was on the set of Saul four up in Toronto and I got the call from the manager. That must have not been a fun call. I was busy working. I don't care, you know, It's like, oh, well, I kind of knew it was gonna get canceled anyway. I had some intel, you know, I had my attorney do some intel. My attorney is very connected. Yeah, he was warning me. He was saying,
it's not looking good. So next up. Sarah asked, there was a lot of drinking on the show. Was any of the real alcohol? I assume it's not, But what would be used in place of it to make it look like alcohol? It's, um, it's either well, let's see, if you're drinking whiskey, then it's it's gosh, what is it? It's coca cola. Yeah, if you're drinking it's water. It's apple juices. Yeah, they use fruit juices. And I didn't always hear that Alexis didn't drink coffee, so her coffee
mug was filled with Coca cola. She did drink, She did drink Coca cola, yes, yeah, yeah, I always had a very healthy carrot juice. Uh and sometimes coffee yeah, oh really, uh huh. Yeah. They do love their cocktails over at the Gilmore's. They do. That's kind of post. That's when you wrap then we're just no. But even always when they're Friday night dinner, there's always, you know, the first thing they say is can I get you a drink? Like they always have a cocktail at sure
at the Gilmore's Friday night. Yeah, they were not real cocktails. Nobody's drinking on set six hours later yea from Gilmore's Girls to Euphoria. There you go? There you sorry? Sorry, all right. Our last question comes from Steph. What was it like filming a finale? Did the cast do anything special after wrapping each season? Yeah? There was always a rap party. You know, there was a rap party and
it was fun. Sometimes it was on set, you know, after we wrapped and then you know, hey, you know, getting your street clothes and come on back and we're gonna have some parties and that's what we do, you know. Sometimes it was at a restaurant. Some was a restaurant. Sometimes it was fun. Yeah, Scott, what would we have to do and we don't have to do it yet? Maybe it'll be for the season three rap party. What would we have to do to get you to go on the Warner Brothers tour with us to Gilmore? Are
you planning on doing that? Well, we're asking you what would you have to do? Like, no, what would we have to do to get you to go with us? Or would you just do it? What do you mean? You mean go on the Warner Brothers tour? Like like be a tourist? You want me to go do that? I'll do that. That will be fun. Do you want do you want to do a podcast from the course and we're going to film the whole thing. That's kind of like that you the news is that your thing? No,
my news was just how everybody hates Christopher. But just I have the idea. I'm gonna find out, like, can you imagine we do the podcast and like you surprise everybody on the tour. That would be fun. Okay Easton? Is that Easton? So our engineer Easton just wrote in the chat, Yes, that would be That would be a lot of fun. That would be Jeff, you used to work over there, and I'm gonna find out who I hit up now. Oh, I can get I can make it. I can call James over there, James right now. He'd
probably say yes right now while we're on the air. Totally. Oh my god, Okay, we have to do that, Like we'll do it this summer or something amazing. It would be cool. That would be cool. We should do it sooner rather than later. I might be going away. Oh, I didn't want to ask if you remember, like I can't remember our last episode of the one before there was a phone call. Have we had any more phone calls?
We're negotiating. There's negotiations. Okay, then we'll do it. We'll either do it right before, we'll do it when you get back. We'll figure it out. Don't forget to bring your microphone if you get that job. Yeah, yeah, no, I'm gonna I have to bring all this stuff. Wait, Riley, was that the last question? That was the last question? Was so good? This is good, so good. Okay, we'll do this again after season three. Absolutely, I'm gonna go get some I'm gonna go send out my resume for
my background acting. Okay, don't print too many of them, don't worry, you know. Yeah, great, maybe at and you can have Scott go. I endorse this. I trained her right daughter everything she knows about background. But I can't believe that's so bad an you know it's a bad act. Look, no, it's just too bigger personality. What are you gonna do? You can't contain it. I'll have to go back to my dreams of being a rock star. Then, really you had dreams? Oh you know what I always wanted to be.
Not that anyone cares, but we're at the end of the show. You would have been a good rock star. I always My dream was to be James Taylor's backup singer. Never a front man in the front. You have to be you have to be a front front. You're the front man. I'm just slightly back. Ryan Seacrest the front man. I'm just back behind. Can you sing, though? I mean, are you a singer? I mean, I'm not gonna lie. In the sixth grade musical, I was Maria in the Sound of Music. But I don't know, so bust bust out.
A couple of later, my brothers tell me I'm the worst thinger they've ever heard. But then people give me like singing parts. I'm like, man, I don't know. I've got some songs. You know, we can go. We can go out and play. We can go bust. You want to go bust, let's go busking? What is that? That means you go out in the street and you play songs for stranger good Third Street promenade. Yes, I wonder
if we'd make money. It doesn't matter. We have our hat out to get like a quarter here, donate everything, right, of course. Yeah, so let's let's do it. If you can sing, I'll stand there and play the guitar. We'll talk about This is after your background career comes to an end. After I get a lot of background work and then our Warner Brothers, right, and then you retire to dominate a duet on the Warner Brothers tour of the theme song between you two. Yeah, I guess that's
why I can't do it again. You can. As for a background person, You're getting a star on the Walk off the Walk of Fame. It's on it's in Pacoima. It's on Third Street up in Pacoima. That's where the that is so une Okay, So now everybody was serious. Season three, Episode one next week, So everybody get ready. Get ready, everybody, because we're boning up.
