I am all in with Scott Patterson, an iHeartRadio podcast.
All right, so listen, we're gonna we're gonna get to know Suzanne French. She had a lot of questions for Susanne.
Hello, welcome.
Just uh amy, Hello, how are you? I guess today Tara's she's not a.
Flight Oh gosh, don't worry.
All right, well she'll uh maybe she'll she'll she'll come in in the middle of this or something, hopefully anyway, So Suzanne, hello, welcome. Fans want to get to know you. We didn't give you the proper introduction, are bad, but we fans have so many questions about who you are, where you came from, and.
Tell us a little bit about yourself.
So good morning, thank you for having me. I first watched Gilmore Girls back in I think it was twenty sixteen. It was right around the time that the revival came out, and so there was a lot of press and I
was looking for something new to watch on Netflix. I just had finished watching I think it was Freaks and Geeks, and so looking for something new, and Gilmore Girls was on the splash screen of Netflix, and so I thought, well, I'll give this a try, and so I watched the pilot and was instantly like, Okay, this is my show, these are my people. So that was the first time
I watched it. I binged the whole thing probably in a week or two, and then I made my husband binge it with me, and just ever since then, it's just been, you know, a comfort thing.
I'm surprised you don't watch it on its first run.
You know. So when it first aired, I actually a friend of mine actually did tell me, you know, you need to watch the show called Gilmore Girls, because it really reminds me of you and your mom because my mom and my mom was a single mom, and we were always very close. And but at the time I
was too busy. I had little kids. My first kid was born in two thousand and three and the second was two thousand and six, so I wasn't watching anything that wasn't The Wiggles or you know, children's programming in the early two thousands. So and honestly, I thought it was more with the other shows that were on that network at the time. I thought it was like a teen show. I didn't realize it was what it was.
So but I think I think I watched it at the time that I needed to see it, so it really when I did.
Well, you hooked immediately, did you from the first moment?
Yeah, pretty much. When she when she walked in the diner and called Luke officer Krupke, which was a reference to West Side Story, I was like, Okay, this is an intelligent show. I'm gonna watch.
Yeah.
So, but you know you and I go back to what two thousand and sixteen, seventeen seventeen, Yeah, right, so you helped out with the music tour. You came on tour with us, or we did a little coffeehouse tour seven states back of what was a twenty and seventeen the Atomic Love Tour.
What do you mean.
Through my assistant Elaine?
Right, I was helping out with some of the social media stuff back then and got to be good friends with Elaine, and she needed some help at some of the California shows, and so that was kind of how it started, no way.
Yeah, yeah, so yeah, So Suzanne was nice enough to come join with her husband John, and they helped out a great deal with the merchandise and setting up any It was a lot to do for we.
Had a small crew that we were traveling.
We were like this traveling, traveling band of gypsies, and uh it was. It was actually quite fun until I started missing my two year old too much and I was like, I'm out of here, guys.
But some people, some people figured it out, but some people didn't that Suzanne is a part of the crackstaff.
She is the crackstaff. John John and Suzanne are the crackstaff. Elaine is part of the crackstaff as well. So it's a team of three.
And they were they were real, and they were real.
And I learned I learned a fun fact about Suzanne yesterday that I had no idea. She her real job and quotes when we're not doing this, she's a pharmacist.
Yeah, that's so awesome. Why do you think? Why? Why do you think? Why do you think? I'm so perky?
That's why I remember all the details about the show because I have a very analytical, detailed brain from having to memorize thousands and thousands of drug facts.
That's actually really true.
Your brain works that way. Yeah, I'm not a creative person at all. I am a very analytical, like black and white, like give me the facts kind of person.
How many times do you think you've watched the show now?
You know, that's a good question. I I don't know, probably twenty. I'm not even sure. Some episodes more than others, obviously, Yeah, of course, you know, because sometimes when you just need a break, you'll put on your favorite episode and watch it for a little bit. But yeah, I've seen it a lot for there was a for a while. It's just kind of always been on in the background. I've kind of backed off of watching it because I want to follow along with the podcast.
Yeah, thank you, I like that.
But yeah, it's it's just one of those those shows that you can turn to when you just need to, like Disconne for a little bit, totally.
Yeah, if you could, and I don't know who you've met and who you haven't met, but other than Scott, if you could meet real life person from the show and one character from the show, who would it be?
I would so character. I would love to meet Laurele I. I just I really like Laura and she is definitely not without her flaws, but I really do love that character and in person. I would love to meet Kelly Bishop m Yeah, I Emily is the character that we all love to hate like that. She's she's a great character, but she's a terrible person. And I think Kelly just really knocked it out of the park on portraying that role. And I would love to meet her.
That's a good one. Interesting, Well welcome.
Thank you fans, have a little better grasp on who you are, where you came from, what you're all about, and thank you for stepping in for Danielle big shoes to fill.
But you're doing great so far.
The feedback has been really positive.
So we really really appreciate you coming on here and.
Enjoy it.
Takes a little bit of time.
You have to sort of do a scheduling reshuffle in order to do this, so.
We're kind of an odd bunch too. Wait Beam Dean Team Logan Team Jes Scott's favorite question of all the.
I am Team Rory. I don't think any of them are her end game. I don't think any of them are her soulmate. I think they all had valuable lessons to teach her.
Uh.
They all certainly have flaws. I just don't see her with any of them in the long run. I think she needs to hang out by herself for a little bit and figure out who she is and what she wants and then find the right guy.
Hmmm, all right, the good answer.
All right, all right, so well, welcome to the to the team. We are better for it and I really appreciate it. Okay, anyway, any more questions for Susanne, Hey, send him in. There's there's there are more layers to peel back with Suzanne.
