Welcome to the episode of Husbands watching Housewives. I'm Scott and I am Jeff and we just watched episode of The Real Housewives of Miami. The last episode of the season. The third part of the reunion. Done. Thank God it's over. Thank God it's over. Although we do say that about all the franchises, by the time we get to the end, we're like, oh God, it's been so much housewives. Right. It's such a season. But this one in general, I don't
know. You were you, we were debating, are we going to come back to this? Are we going to come back next year? It depends on who's there, who's not there, like what the stories are, how exciting the trailer looks. I mean it it's they're not horrible. It's not a horrible show. No, no, I don't see how it's this greatest show. In the world, it's not. It's not people saying like, oh, my God, Miami's top tier.
Like, no, like, I think really for me, the top tier taking away like my favoritism, which normally gravitate toward Beverly Hills, I'd say, like, Salt Lake is top tier. Like, they're at the top of their game. Yeah. So Miami with this, even with the Haitian mortician, they can eclipse the Superman. Yeah. Yeah, no, I agree.
I was thinking about it and I think the one of the issues, and I don't care if we're getting right into it and not really re going through the, you know, what happened on this reunion, because really the reunion was all over the place it. Was it was so just like they were inserting things. It was like how about this? How about this?
I would move on. Normally it's chronological in some degree, but then they were like, well, we really haven't talked about Gertie, so let's talk about Gertie and check in with Gertie. And But I realized my problem with this show is that I think I like everyone on the couch to Andy's right? The Stephanie Couch. In the reverse order, like my favorite I think would be Adriana, then Gertie, then Lisa, then Stephanie. I think that's the order of which I like every.
I could do that, Yeah. I really grow. Adriana really grew on me, I guess. Season one, Season 1 on Yeah. And I think likewise on the other couch, I like Kiki and then Marisol to a degree. But I mean, I mean, we're getting pretty low on the rankings there by the time I get there. I would switch it up not to rank women, but here we are. Well, we're ranking the pod. We're ranking how these housewives made us feel. Feel so yes, I think yes, we're
going by the Stephanie couch. I would say it's a tie with me with Gurney and Adriana and then for sure is Lisa and Stephanie and then on the other couch, I'd say can you really bug me this episode? Can you just I I don't she's so pretty and I just the personality isn't like growl wow to me. I think she's just a little annoying to me. It's fair. So and there's all the same just like just so annoying.
So I don't know how to say it would be my favorite on that couch because I don't like Larsa. I guess Alexia to a certain extent and then maybe Kiki and then Marisol if I have to, and then. You have to I. Have to and then Larsa, then Julia. And so that's my that's my thing. And that's my problem is that the popularity in the show seems to be built around Alexia, Larsa, Marisol and Julia to an extent. This season. This season. And so I didn't like any of that, really.
I'm just like, oh, OK. Well, at least some people are like what it what it learns to do, except for a fight with Lisa, You know, so Alexia like lost steam with that Todd thing like halfway through basically. And Marisol, what she claims she's not a maniculator. She is, she's trying, she's totally trying to move these piece, these chess pieces and then then. Please, calling them chess pieces is really generous. I think these are checkers pieces, so they ain't that complicated.
Moving these checkers, Yeah. There's no knight, There's no Bishop, Yeah. There's no strategy going on over there. They're just, they're just jumping across the board and yelling King me so. Accurate. And then, yeah, Kiki, like, she had a good personal story, right? But I feel like the reunion, I was just like. I don't know, I think Kiki's Kiki comes off as reasonable to me. Like I think she's trying to be honest in trying to explain how she feels such she doesn't.
I think she gets spoken over a lot. And then I think that she's she keeps harping on the same thing. Like we, we get it, you've explained that already. We're not still talking about that, but yet you still want to be talking about it. Although Adriana is the same way in a degree where it's like we, you've already explained yourself on that. Quit explaining yourself. No one was wanting to bring that up again, not even A&B. No, again, hence he wasn't saying.
So do you really feel like Kiki is racist? Yeah, like, and Kiki was just. I'm not a racist. I don't think you're a racist. I'm like, no one's racist, allegedly. And we all know Andy loves, I said. Ask people about the first time they experienced racism. But not here 20. 20 was an interesting year for Bravo. It was growth, everyone. Yeah, a lot of growth. No, I was gonna say with like I had a point. Derailed you, I'm sorry. No. And I anyways, the thing about
Kiki and yeah I can't remember. OK. I mean, it was more about how you were irritated by Kiki. Or did you put it? No, there's something else like in terms of like maybe personal story or I don't know. But that's The thing is it's not memorable. None of it's memorable. No, it's not. Yeah, I don't think that anything was all that exciting
or groundbreaking. And, and again, I think that they kind of dumped on the people we liked the most and kind of made their storylines minimal, just all so they could have more Alexia and Marisol like being wacky. Right. And well it's like that couch was fighting hard to be like, look at the unity we have. We're this is a sisterhood. We're like actual friends.
Let's bring this all back. You know when the weakest point is is Julia. Yeah, you know, and like, I just don't see why you bring her back. I know she recently, I'm not saying she's lying about this, but she said that she was in treatment. Not in treatment, but she's maybe working on her issues with PTSD, right. And that caused her anger issues. That's all the unseen footage we saw of her, like throwing a fit in a conniption or whatever.
Sure, good work like yourself grow, but like, I don't believe things that come out of your mouth because it just seems so practice. Like all of her answers were just like, yes. And then, you know, I grew up this of course, because of Luka and and Da da da and Martina. And then like, but it was like my worst season and my best season. And it's like she had bullet points that she had, you know, worked on with a team.
And I think now just this, it's very convenient timing to be like I'm working on my PTSD it's. It's just like when you know a movie star ends up going into rehab to explain a rash or recent behavior. Exactly. And so it just, it doesn't seem genuine to me or that she's going to get any better 'cause this is like years. I mean, that unseen footage went back to like 2021 or something or like, you know, throwing
stuff. So it's just the thing about her isn't right, and I think her energy can be very dark. And I don't see, yeah, a lot of redeemable qualities about her. That's my whole thing. I'm Julia. Yeah. And that's kind of what's a bummer about us watching Miami is that like we don't normally route for people to not come back like usually on all the other franchises. We're like, you know, as much as we didn't like Jennifer A, we like back in the day, we're.
Like Anna Marie to come back. Yeah, yeah. We want even the the kind of the lamest, You know, in hindsight, a lot of people will call Anna Marie one of the largest failures of Beverly Hills. That's fair. We wanted her to come back. But we're here. We are watching Miami. And like, I could go without Julia. I could go without Kiki. I could, you know, I like her a little bit. Kiki's a fine friend though, yeah.
I could go without Larsa Lisa to an extent, like the most exciting parts to me. And I don't really care if Stephanie comes back or not. Like, OK. I think you need Lisa. I think they're just, they're very like Lisa's are very bubbly and likable and she brings a lot of fun. Like Larsa is one of the faces of the show, you know, going back to like, because she's one of the O GS. Like I think there's no world where they let go Alexia or Marisol or Larsa. Yeah, they're always going to be safe.
Other ones could be like, you know, we'll see. And some for sure you know or not. I liked that the majority of Marisol's time in this episode was really about her mother, who, you know, rest her soul and I'm. Communicating with her stuff. Yeah, and I do think it's interesting. I mean, that's the one thing I remember about Miami, is Mama Elsa. Yes. And I think she was a very interesting, you know, person to
have on the show. One of the original like kooky mother Mama. Now love is such a trope. Right. So it makes me wonder if sometimes is Marisol just kind of on the show, because then they can keep evoking Mama Elsa. Well, I think it's, it's the OG of it all. It's the, it's the, you know, but I'm going to get married, married 10,000 times. And there's just something like very Miami and like that relationship with, with Alexia. It's like people love seeing it
and, you know, I was like. So then I guess what I hear you saying is that maybe Miami just isn't for us if the top people on that show that makes it go are the ones that we like the least so that we identify with the least. And maybe it's a reason we weren't watching it all this
time, you know? It just doesn't really appeal to me about it. It wasn't all the there have been moments in the season where I was like, there's times I would come up here and be like, oh, I want to talk about this because it was a good episode. But as a whole, you know, it's not something that is really making me want to come back again and again. But again, who knows what the next season will be? Who will be maybe get like another newbie. That's great that, you know,
causes some. I think other thing too is the Ogs are very comfortable, like Larsa is comfortable, like not doing anything because she's Larsa and she's a big personality outside of housewives and she's known for being an, you know, one of the originals. So she doesn't have to like do much. But I think if you have somebody who challenges that, you know
what she didn't? You had Stephanie challenging Alexia and Marisol. The only one was challenging Larsa was someone who's been on the show already. So I think we brought a newbie. He was just like, what's so great about Larsa? It would be great because she would be like, what do you mean? I'm like, what do you mean? What I mean what are you doing? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, like aside from taking selfies, what do you do? Make jokes about you're only fans.
Right. And you're in your pretty feet. It's like, but what's your story? What do you think about Stephanie's Like Kumbaya I I love all these women. I know that I have friends that I can count on. I don't think she was bullshitting actually. Yeah, that's what scares me. That's what scares me the most, is that she like was eating her own, you know, BSI. Think, you know, she is not someone who's taking the time nor prioritized having
girlfriends. And so this is like, oh, look at me and also the issues with her sister. She's like, I'm not investing a lot in female friendships. I want to work, run my business. I have Masood. And you know, you know, Andy didn't even address like, are you still kind of thinking about maybe having kids? Like that was just like, Nope. Yeah. And it's like drop that like in one episode of of this past
season. So yeah, I think she's like, OK, this is kind of cool having girlfriends and, you know, like different energy and. But the way she went around that circle, just kind of being like every one of them would have my back. It's like you demonstrated multiple times throughout the season that none of them have. Your back. If you're getting arrested, you're not calling Adriana. Click yes.
God, you know. I mean, I guess that, you know, it's probably new for her to have someone to vent to or like, you know, call up and you know, hey, girl, you know, had a rough day or, you know, this what's going on or, you know, you know, what's her husband's name? Masoud. Masoud and I are, you know, we're going to go to blah, blah. You want to come, you know, like all that stuff. So I guess that's novel and interesting. But yeah, I wouldn't think. I don't.
It's kind of getting back to that Orange County, you know, idea about why you wouldn't tell Tamara all your secrets. Like I, I wouldn't tell any of those women any of. Them I wouldn't trust. Me at all. And I think that's what Larsa may have said at some point was just like there is, oh, there is no safe space when they all kind of agreed. That they're. Yeah. Yeah, but they all kind of went around and agreed, yeah, there is no safe space here.
So it's like, I don't know how you go on one hand to be like, I love all these women and I trust them to have my back, too. There's no safe space here. Right, like I feel like other shows they fight and it's like they like move on there, whatever. And I feel like these women are just like, you know, there's the narrative of the eyes. Like no, I will never be OK with. You unless they are talking about that sisterhood of being a housewife, which I think all franchises will agree in every
housewife old and new. Especially in a particular city, it's like you've been through something very specific that no one else can imagine. So you tend to stick together. But there could be a lot of deep seated resentment that you just do not like this person. Like Marisol and Adriana will never be in a good place. No, ever. No SO and I'm OK with that. And Marisol's knees looked fine. I know. I mean, maybe she wasn't standing up. Maybe they looked.
Yeah, maybe when they're not stretched out over her kneecap. Yeah, so. But yeah, it's like, and see, they're not. I don't know how old she is. I know Drawn is like about to be 60 but like I think everyone looks good. What were we watching? Was it Orange County where someone said they can't show their sleeves, their arms anymore with Shannon? No, it was Tamara. It was. No, no, we always think about how to take his Tamara.
No, Tamara I think was on, maybe it went with two TS, but she said something about like, oh, you can show your arms and. Yeah, there's this. The way someone was wearing a jacket over something and they were like. Yeah. So it might have been like maybe when they have the the Alexis episode. Oh, I think you're right. I think you're. Right, the dress. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it was, you're right. It was when Alexis was on. Yeah. I meant to listen to a TikTok.
Someone was going off about they're like, I just can't. Like they listen to that episode of Two TS and they were just like, this just drove me up the wall and I had to turn that episode off because Alexis was just being a little too much. Alexis is always too much and she just has way too much energy. And The thing is, it's like it's not drug induced. That's just who she is.
I don't know if she's high on Jesus, but it's just like a lot of fast talking and like she's like, I got points and I gotta make these points. And I don't know if that was like squashed down in her marriage to Jim. And now she's just like, yes, John let's me like express all the points, but it's a lot of points. Yeah, it was a lot. But yeah, I, I meant to watch the video because I'm was wondering if that person could better articulate why I why Alexis drives me nuts in those
interview situations. I liked her fine on the show, right as far as friend of's go, but meanwhile back in Miami I guess. Yeah, I think like the very brief personal moments with, you know, Gertie talking about her situation, I think that was really, she's just so interesting, Like she's going, has gone through and still going through like real stuff. Yeah, as far as other people. I wish they hadn't. I wish she hadn't.
I've been so choked up and been able to speak better as to, you know, her experience and her health and everything on this season. And even still, like I feel like they could have given her the time. It's not like this was live television where she couldn't have gotten choked up or. Gathered herself cut up. Exactly, that's what I mean. And then? We're watching the extended version, so who knows? Like, yeah, what else? You know, there's even more to
be seen. Yeah. So. But no. But still, like, I think she's such a good heart and she just is a real person. Like, I would like to meet her at Bravo Con. And I think she'd have good energy coming in my way. In contrast with Julia, as I said before, it was just so like, robotic. I was like Martina. And we never really got complete. There's more to it that she's not telling us about her daughter and the boys. There's a, there's more, there's more going on.
There's a good explanation, though. It makes a little bit more sense, the fact that like they found out at the last minute that they would have this opportunity, so they didn't have time to really prepare, you know? So I mean, I guess that makes sense, but at the same time, like, I don't know, I feel like if you were good to begin with with your kids, they would welcome this something. There's more to Yeah, exactly.
Not not totally good. I also like the Annie point out the obvious of your older people. Have you talked about that? You know, something were to happen. You know Martinez survived cancer, but you know you never know with older. Well, I have to think that he also, you know, is concerned about that as well. Sure. You know, he's dad a later in life. And yeah, he's. Like late 50s now. And he doesn't, really. And maybe he does have someone who is John Mayer inherit the kids.
John Mayer. It would probably be Anderson. Anderson. Anderson is in the same boat. Yeah, well, but. Two young kids. That's true. Yeah. He. He has a younger or older sister. He has a sister. OK, so I think maybe she something happened. He has like a ton of very close friends too. Like you read his books and he's just like so many. It's like the celebrities like SJP or John Mayer, you know, he's a very tight group of friends. So Bruce maybe. Who's Bruce? His best friend, Stazi. Oh.
OK, so again, let's say. What's his face? Jeff Lewis inherits the kid. Jeff Lewis No. No, So what else? Purse as well. If we ever have kids, are we gonna are we gonna name a godparent? Yes. Oh. Oh, really? What? We're the least religious people in the world. But. It's not about that. It's not about, it's about just someone who like, you know. It's about a soap opera, that's what it is. They just want to. You just want to have an official godparent.
No, we're not gonna be like a whole like ceremony and like trickles. Listening. Come on. Where will we go for such a thing? We don't have a church home. I don't know. We can just do it in the backyard. I mean, you can do a christening anywhere with anybody. It's. True, we can go to New Jersey. Can we? There you go. But now, yeah, it's more so about like, I love you so much, you're a poor person in my life. You naturally would be the godparent to my child, so.
All right, we're, we're, we're going to have to talk about this for the hypothetical child that we're having. It's hypothetical godparents. Yes, exactly. No, I was just curious because, like, I did always think about that from a very soapy perspective. Like if I ever had kids who would be their godparents. And like, at this point, I think a lot of the people I might choose in my life already have their own kids. And they're like, no, we're full up here.
We're like no, no, no. We're at the end, Yeah. So sorry, I don't have a not that I know of. I don't think I have a godparent. I think I. That's my mom. I think I do, but I don't know who they are and I'm not I. Think he was still alive? I that's the other thing. I don't think that they are. It might be Liz. I'm not sure. I doubt it's Liz because Liz was barely older than my oldest brother, no. Anyway. Sounds terrible. Yeah, I got to figure all that out.
Liz is my cousin, by the way. Yeah, so. That. Encourage her to listen to housewives. What is she or what is she doing in Texas? She's just sitting at home. I'm, come on. What is she doing? What are you doing for your life? What's your housewife? I'm just saying she's got the time. Please, I could see it. Maybe she's not ATV person. Oh well, no, yeah, that's true. Maybe she's the person that left us the YouTube comment about about I can't believe women watch or people watch these
plastic women we don't like. It's rubbish, it's. Rubbish, which I do applaud the use of the word rubbish. I don't hear very. Often, no, you don't. No, but. Who else? And we went through everyone. They're over your shoulders. But they were whether they talked about the whole oh, Stephanie and saying that Marisol would send her like all
the bad press about her. And you know, and there was a lot of like playing out with Marisol like, Oh, I don't know what we did that or you're the one who I'm going to get into the old wretched rapture thing. It's a dumb ass conversation. Why I'm not even bringing it up, like the whole Marisol of it all, sending the bad things. I can see an argument on both sides of like, hey, just so you know, you might want to know that this is out there. Yeah, I can see that.
But that's also where I start to wonder, especially with this knowledge that Marisol is NPR, that she does kind of know how to kind of play that against. People she totally knows how to play things like she like. The more you told me, tell me you're not a mastermind, the more I think you want you are a mastermind. Or, you know, maybe not a mastermind, but you know, you at least know how to get under someone's you're. Shrewd. Yeah. Exactly. Very shrewd. And she like hides like oh,
cookies and I'm fun. I'm like, no, there's more to it. Yeah, I'm, I'm sure that's the other problem is that they're all much more intelligent than they let on to be in many ways. I mean, they've made it this far in life with, you know, whatever they do for a living. Like what does what does Alexia do for a living? Well, she has that shop. Right. But before that. We, we, you know, it's so when Marisol said to Julia, we're still getting to know each
other. Like when someone's like, oh, you're besties and like, not besties. We're still getting to know her. I'm like, she's been on the show for a good amount of years. We mean, you're still getting to know her. Yeah. Yeah. But for us, we're still getting to know these women actually and what they do and their family dynamics or whatever, right? So or friendship dynamics. All I'm saying is that we didn't know Brittany Bateman on Salt
Lake was a real estate agent. We completely forgot about that. And she said it were like, what? So I mean, then be like, if Alexia came out and was like, oh, and by the way, I'm a makeup artist. What? Since when? I went to Peter school. That's why I opened. That's why I opened a salon. It was like. It could be. Yeah, so, but yeah, at the same anyway, I'm just maybe we maybe each season we just need to remind ourselves what everyone does for a living just so we can have it, have it.
Because it's so like, you know, everybody else and every other show what they do, but with this one. Because we came into it, we're just like, oh, what I do for a living. Well, they're Real Housewives of Miami. That's what they do. And I guess the argument could be made that's probably how they make the majority of their money. Like I'm. Sure, Larson is more than just only fans. Like, I don't know what that is, right? But I'm sure she does a thing.
Or maybe she truly does just make a living off of making appearances. Very expensive. Very it's it's very expensive to be her. Yeah. No, Erica Jane, It's very lucrative. Yeah, exactly. What do you think about that clip of Luann saying that? Oh my God, that I sent. You. Yeah, exactly. So bitchy. Someone asked Luann during one of her cabaret performances.
Or I don't know, cabaret. Well, I know she has different levels of cabaret is one thing, but anyway, which housewife she's not looking forward to running into? Her brother on. And she said, Erica, Jane and Dorit. Yeah, she's like Erica has been rude to her and called her a bitch and her said she's bitchy, whatever. And also Dorit wasn't very nice and I'm like, I don't know what capacity.
Like maybe when she was growing through like all her stuff, not making excuses, but I don't know what capacity that Erica would have an attitude with Luann of all people. But also like I'm just curious to know what the interaction. That's what I wanted. She didn't like elaborate about what the interaction was of her right. I hope that Teddy brings it up on Diamonds in the Rough to Erica so we can get her point of view that.
'D be nice yeah because yeah I mean if it was like also like I just don't see other than maybe you know press junkets and things that like Erica and Luann really are going to be crossing paths so like if it was just in the bathroom or something like you know and some you know I don't know I just. Curious. Like, get out of my way. I need the mirror. Yeah. Or she's like bitch, I gotta pee, move it. So you can see Eric, so sorry. Excuse me?
And then Dorit coming right in. So anyway, yeah, so I'm I'm glad Miami's over. I I am a little relieved that we have one less show to cover every week yes, especially two in one night is tough. And so I don't like delaying it a couple days like we. Do but same now it's like it's an every other day thing. I'm. I really think the Beverly holes will be on Wednesdays. OK. And so for a while there's gonna be like a bit of overlap perhaps.
Yeah. Because like OC will wrap up like later December. Yeah, that week before Thanksgiving. But yeah, Even so, like 3 is a really good #4 is just like, oh come on. Yeah, yeah. So especially when one of them you're kind of lukewarm on. So exactly like if it was Atlanta instead of Miami, we'd be all about four shows. For sure, but. For sure, definitely.
I was thinking because like there's going to be they're still shooting Atlanta and they're actually gonna have a panel at Bravo Con, which you would think they would want to save that for, you know, later, like for the reunion, whatever, but it's not it's kind of like Salt Lake. But with that there was a big secret to keep with Monica and right reality Von Tees. So that's why they didn't have a panel but. Is Atlanta have new women this
season? Yes. Have one to replace Britt. Yes, two, I think it's for your place, OK, But I don't know if they will actually, they probably won't be there because they won't want to like they want to wait to like show them on the show, right, Right. So it'll be everyone from last year except for Brett, I would imagine. I would think it would be interesting to have the new people there to kind of just get kind of a, you know, taste of them and it might help them go
over better. You know that would, I would think with. The fans, at least. So just for like just that moment. So, I mean, are we going to go still to the Miami panel? I mean, I think. So I think. So the other panels that are going on at the same time aren't necessarily be more exciting. Right. I have to check the schedule about like what's because it's on Saturday. And maybe seeing them in person will be, you know, maybe it'll be like going to a baseball game. Oh, veteran person?
No for sure. Veteran person you're. Like, oh wow, this drama is really in the same room as Miami. Hot, hot. They show up with maracas and. Oh my God, they show up a problematic maracas. Sorry. Well, you said hot. It made me think of Buster Poindex or yeah, Hot hot hot, you know? I was thinking of like, Adriata's the theme song. Oh yeah, yeah, OK. Oh God. I hope Adriata does like performance. I hope my dog. I love my dog. I love my dog. What was it? No. What was it set to?
The scene it was I love my dog. What was it set to? The theme of. I don't even know it was. I couldn't even tell that there was any sort of musicality to that one. I just thought she was saying I love my dog, I love my dog, I love my dog. Who's the greatest dog? She seems to bring her dog everywhere. Emotional support animal. I know. All right. Well, is there anything else you want to cover on this? No, I think it was our first Miami season and we. Gave a college try. Right.
And, you know, we're growing with it and we'll just, you know, we'll see what's to come and. Yeah, and we'll talk about Miami the next time it's on. Till next time.
