Episode description

“Disease of civilisation” that’s what they term many of the modern illnesses and disease that are so common today because they’re a result of privilege and abundance and for most people that don’t have a genetic variation, insulin resistance, obesity, and diabetes is a consequence of this excessively abundant world that we have access to every single day. I’ll be the first person to say I love a cookie, but I think the most exciting thing about the illnesses that fall into this category is that there is a lot that can be done about them from home in a very low-risk kind of way.

In This Episode I Cover:

  • What Insulin Resistance is and what causes it
  • The relationship between high carb diets and insulin resistance
  • What you can do to start turning it around and avoid type 2 and type 3 diabetes
