Now that Lily and Marshall have a Nanny, they leave the house to enjoy the city just to realize it's a crazy deathtrap. To figure out which of their friends should be godparent to little Marvin (lets face it, it should just be Ted), they host a gameshow to find the best fit.
While Marshall and Lily struggle to find an affordable Nanny, Barney grabs their best option from under their noses and Ted/Robin compete over who has the best relationship.
Artillary Arthur convinces Barney he needs a pre-nup to protect himself in his upcoming marriage. This sets off a domino effect that fractures all of the relationships in the show but only one ends in a break-up. We also get to meet Tug Boat.
We resume with Ted and Victoria's escape from her wedding whereby they clash over the necesity of leaving a note. Quinn finds out about Barney and Robin's past because Marshall and Lily's lack of sleep have rendered them zombies. We meet Robin's new boyfriend with rock hard abs.
Barney stages an elaborate airport magic trick to propose to Quinn; Ted reconnects with Victoria on her wedding day; Marshall and Lily struggle with the exhaustion of being new parents while Robin tries to capture a nice family photo.

All bad story lines, but none as bad as Lily's insistance that everyone has to speak with an air of positivity around her because she's pregnant.
Robin tells a therapist how the blossoming Barney/Nora relationship drove her to assault a stranger as Ted inserts himself into Marshall and Lily's pregnancy.
Barney bets Marshall and Lily that he can pull off all the fancy Hibachi Restaurant moves in exchange for a look and touch of Lily's goodies. Ted recaps his evening with Victoria.

The gang are all involved in the same story, whereby Barney convinces Ted and Marshall to back GNB in the Arcadian battle which ultimately ends Ted and Zoey's relationship.
